The arcuate pattern of the main Caledonian cleavage and associated fold axial plane traces in North Wales is due partly to NW-SE compression with tectonic transport to the southeast against the concealed crop of the Tan y grisiau Microgranite. Low-angle cleavage close to the microgranite is shown to be a local variant of the regional cleavage formed during the main deformation and not an earlier phase as previously supposed. Transcurrent movements along several major fault systems are also related to compression around the microgranite and the Harlech Dome block.  相似文献

川西盐井沟断层传播褶皱的三维构造建模与磁组构分析   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
当前断层相关褶皱研究的发展方向是从二维向三维的转换。文中基于Arcgis、Discovery以及Gocad等三维软件平台,对川西盐井沟地区地震资料进行精细的解析,得出盐井沟背斜是一个典型的三剪断层传播褶皱,并建立了它的三维模型。同时考虑到单纯符合几何约束的构造解释普遍存在着多解性和不确定性,结合几何学的三维建模和动力学的有限应变分析研究断层相关褶皱。在川西盐井沟地区18个采样点钻取了184块定向岩心样品,通过磁组构的分析结果发现,盐井沟地区的磁组构基本上都是弱应变的初始变形组构,褶皱前翼应变强度比后翼略强。断层传播褶皱三剪带是有限应变最为集中的区域,在模型预测的三剪带内,磁组构反映的有限应变也较为强烈。磁组构所指示的构造应力场大致为NW-SE向挤压缩短,与断层相关褶皱的几何学与运动学模型的预测相一致。  相似文献

龙门山南段位于四川盆地以西,其新生代构造变形特征对于认识青藏高原东缘的变形机制具有一定的指示意义。磁组构是一种灵敏的应变指示计,在变形微弱的沉积岩地区尤为适用。在龙门山南段邛西断层转折褶皱不同构造部位选取48个采样点开展磁组构研究,分析断层转折褶皱的有限应变特征及区域构造变形机制。实验结果表明,邛西地区上白垩统中主要载磁矿物为高矫顽力的赤铁矿,背斜整体应变较弱,且存在3种类型的磁组构,以沉积磁组构和初始变形磁组构为主,铅笔状磁组构少见,主要存在于靠近褶皱中段的前翼部位,说明断层转折褶皱前翼较后翼和核部应变强,且中段地层应变较其他部位更为强烈。此外,各采样点磁线理的优势方位为近南北向(N10°E),表明邛西断层转折褶皱的形成与龙门山南段晚新生代近东西向的地壳水平缩短有关,暗示龙门山南段的最大主压应力方向在晚新生代存在转变的可能。  相似文献

The results of investigations of gneissose hornblende granitoids, which intrude terrigenous deposits of the Murandav Formation of the Khingan Group and which were deformed together with them due to later structural transformations, are given. It is shown that by their geochemical properties these granitoids are comparable with granitoids of type I and are 535 ± 6 Ma old (U?Pb method on zircons). The obtained data indicate that dikes of hornblende granites, which intrude terrigenous rocks of the Murandav Formation of the Khingan Group and are deformed together with them, were embedded at the Cambrian and Ediacaran transition. The assumption that terrigenous deposits of the Khingan Group (at least the Murandav and underlying Igincha formations) were accumulated in the Neoproterozoic is supported.  相似文献

对阿尔金北缘地区变形蚀变花岗岩、花岗质糜棱岩、变形酸性火山岩和变形英安质凝灰岩中石英和绢云母2种矿物进行X光岩石组构分析,认为本区岩石变形比较明显,宏观面理近于东西向展布,绢云母变形较强,平行于面理定向排列;而石英以底面或近底面滑移为主,部分样品兼有柱面Ⅰ型滑移和柱面Ⅱ型滑移,反映本区岩石变形机制为中浅层次的脆-韧性变形(10~15km、250~350℃、0.25~0.40GPa)。通过岩石组构特征与宏观面理产状,推断本区韧性变形以右行运动为主,与板块碰撞在阿尔金北缘大平沟地区产生的韧性变形带特征一致。  相似文献

Model experiments were specifically designed to test the effect of different profile shapes of early folds on refolding patterns. Comparison of natural examples with experimental results and analogy with engineering information on buckling of fold shapes suggest that, when layers are mechanically active during refolding, the profile shape of the early folds markedly affects the patterns of fold interference. Open rounded folds tend to refold to form dome and basin patterns of interference whereas isoclinal folds tend to refold by folding their axial plane, forming type 2 patterns of interference. Hence, the dimensions and shape of the profile of the early folds control the preferred buckling mode during refolding.  相似文献

In Iceland, hyaloclastites form thick masses generated as a result of subglacial eruptions during Pliocene-Pleistocene surface glaciations. The formation of hyaloclastites and features of their alterations during lithogenesis were investigated. Hyaloclastites are extremely heterogeneous in their physical and physical-mechanical properties. A sequence of hyaloclastites secondary transformations was established from virgin, only slightly palagonitized hyaloclastites with contact-type cement to thoroughly transformed rocks with secondary minerals forming porous cement and partially substituting volcanic glass. A general tendency towards an increase in elasticity, density, strength, and thermal characteristics and towards a decrease in porosity and permeability has been observed with progression of secondary alterations, with the growth of age, from newer to more ancient deposits, and the depth of hyaloclastite burial.  相似文献

Four ductile phases of superimposed deformation are regionally mappable in the Ardnamurchan Moine in the Western Highlands of Scotland. These deformations are recognized on the basis of their individual geometrical characteristics and are named, in ascending order, the Kentra phase (D1), the Ardtoe phase (D2), the Glenmore phase (D3), and the Claish phase (D4). Non-systematic earlier structures (pre-D1), possibly coeval with the climactic metamorphism, are locally observable. Folds and fabrics produced by the D2, D1, and D4 deformations, however, developed as conjugate sets. There is a significant spatial variation in the distribution and intensity of each of the D1-D4 phases. The regional deformation of the Moine schists is notably inhomogeneous due to the nature of the D1-D4 incremental strains. In the areas affected by large finite strains, pervasive, normally composite LS-fabrics are developed. In the areas that persistently suffered negligible strain increments, right-way-up rocks commonly display several mineral foliations lying at various angles to bedding. The conjugate systems of folds and fabrics appear to be related to the evolution of a ductile shear belt in Ardnamurchan.  相似文献

Organic carbon isotope composition was studied in the sedimentary cover of the southern Siberian Platform and its surrounding fold systems. The rocks experienced catagenesis, metamorphism, and metasomatism. The chloroform bitumoid (CB) has a stable carbon isotope composition within a wide range of postsedimentation transformations. The average values of δ13C in CB of the sedimentary cover are ?29.5‰. Metamorphism and, especially, ore metasomatism, at the Sukhoi Log deposit caused a 2‰ increase in the heavy carbon isotope concentration of CB as compared to that of the platform deposits. The narrow variations in carbon isotope composition of the bitumoid are defined by their derivation from lipids, whose components are almost insusceptible to changes in the PT conditions. Kerogen from platform deposits is more strongly depleted than CB in the heavy carbon isotope (δ13Cav ? 32.2‰). The insoluble carbonaceous matter (ICM) of the metamorphic shales is significantly enriched in the heavy carbon isotope (δ13Cav ? 21.9‰). The highest changes in carbon isotope composition were found in concentrates of ICM from metasomatically altered rocks of the Sukhoi Log deposit (δ13Cav ? 17.5‰). The heavier carbon isotope composition caused by metamorphism and metasomatism is evidently defined by isotopic exchange between the carbonate carbon and CO2 of metasomatic solutions, on one hand, and ICM of shales, on the other.  相似文献

A deformation history, comprised of six separate deformation events of differing intensity, has affected the rocks of the South Palmer River region of the the Hodgkinson Province, north Queensland. Within this region, a zone of pervasive slaty cleavage, herein termed the Fiery Creek Slate Belt, has developed as a result of the superposition of fabrics formed during several of these events. The most important processes in the formation of this composite cleavage were the re-use and reactivation of the favourably oriented, steep, N-S-trending S2 foliation by the intense fourth deformation event, D4. This produced micro-, meso- and macroscopic folds in an originally shallow S3 foliation, produced during the intervening D3 deformation, with an axial planar S2–S4 foliation. The D4 stretching lineation, L44, plunges subvertically to steeply north and indicates that shear during D4 was oriented steeply north-south. In the Fiery Creek Slate Belt, D2 fold axes are interpreted to have formed in much shallower orientations than their present moderately N-S-plunging to subvertical orientations. We consider this to be a result of D4 shear, which caused variable degrees of rotation of D2 fold axes toward the D4 stretching lineation due to subparallelism of the bulk shortening directions of the D2 and D4 events. Near-total destruction of the pre-D4 foliations during slaty cleavage formation has produced a misleading impression of a simple deformation history. There is no relationship between metamorphic grade and intensity of slaty cleavage development.  相似文献

在胶东地区招远-平度断裂带上的大磨曲家金矿区选取了典型的构造区域进行岩石磁组构研究。沿着断裂带在不同构造部位的36个采样点钻取了112个定向岩心样品,所有样品均沿勘探线布置。磁组构研究显示,研究区以弱磁性岩石为主,总体上,胶东群变质岩的磁化率值较高,而玲珑黑云母花岗岩的磁化率值较低,尤以碎裂程度高的强蚀变岩的磁化率值最低;磁化率各向异性方位主要为NE向挤压,磁组构所指示的构造应力场与大磨曲家矿区的区域挤压应力方向是相同的;对具不同程度矿化的81线的Au含量与80线磁组构各向异性度(P值)进行对比研究发现,P值与金品位呈负相关关系;弱矿化糜棱岩中的金矿化在磁面理发育的岩石中较为发育,成矿晚期,Au元素含量随着岩石磁性的减弱而增加,特别是在强应变后弛豫阶段矿液充填于相对张性的石英脉中Au含量最高。  相似文献

Much of the sedimentary geochemistry of iodine has been surmised from analyses of solid phase distributions without direct documentation of reactions or reaction rates. It is shown here that the anoxic production rate of dissolved I in nearshore terrigenous sediments decreases rapidly below the sediment-water interface and is strongly temperature controlled. An apparent activation energy of ~19.3 Kcal/mole comparable to that found for other microbially mediated reactions, describes the temperature dependence of release. Production of dissolved iodide is zeroth order with respect to natural ranges of pore water concentrations and apparently first-order with respect to a reactive I component in the solid phase. First order reaction coefficients in sediments from Mud Bay, South Carolina and Long Island Sound, Connecticut, U.S.A., are strongly depth dependent, varying from ~6.9/yr in the top few centimeters to an average of ~0.011/yr over the upper 70 cm. About 90% of the dissolved I flux comes from the top 10 cm with estimated values of ~ 15 and 29 μmoles/m2/day at 22–23°C in Mud Bay and Long Island Sound, respectively. The I/C net release ratio of decomposing material changes rapidly below the sediment surface. When temperature corrections are made, I remineralization rates from nearshore sediments below the bioturbated zone appear to be similar to those observed in deep water sediments underlying oxygenated waters.  相似文献

Based on the sulfur isotopic composition of sulfide minerals, gold deposits in terrigenous successions were systematized and grouped by variation ranges, intervals of modal values, and distribution of δ34S. It was concluded that the evolution of the sulfur isotopic composition of deposits depends on the character of changes in sulfur isotopes in the host rocks of the continental crust.  相似文献
