以某地新建化工厂选址为例,详细介绍了基于遥感和GIS的工程项目选址建模方法。该方法通过遥感获得地物的空间属性和类别特征,通过GIS的缓冲区分析、再分类、栅格叠加、归组、面积计算等空间分析与统计方法实现满足多个条件的目标区块的提取。作为选址模型的具体实现,以遥感和GIS分析软件为依托,规划出了某地适宜兴建化工厂的区块,实施了化工厂选址的遥感和GIS辅助决策。  相似文献

In this study, remote sensing (RS) with computer-based geographic information systems (GIS) techniques are used as a tool for monitoring the water basin area and water quality in Istanbul's relatively less polluted and comparatively less destroyed catchment of the metropolis drinking water dam reservoir named Terkos. It is necessary to work with recent data to be able to identify the effects of urbanization on the water quality of the Terkos dam catchment area that supplies drinking water to the metropolis. RS is an important tool to monitor water quality and urban terrain. For this aim, a project has been initiated at the Technical University Remote Sensing Laboratory, under the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) sponsorship in Istanbul. The project uses SPOT-PAN, XS and IRS-1C/D PAN and satellite data of 1993 and 2000 for urban analysis and Landsat-TM and LISS-III satellite data of 1992 and 2000 for water quality. For calibration and validation, ground truth samples are collected from the experimental area. The RS data was converted into the UTM coordinate system and image enhancement and classification techniques are used. Raster data is converted to vector data to assess the study area for analyzing in GIS for the purpose of planning and decision-making on protected water basin zones. As a result of monitoring land use and water quality changes, recommendations are made for planning and management of the protected environment of the Terkos catchment protected area. Measuring land use change is a very important issue for controlling the future development of the basin, GIS techniques are performed and results are illustrated in established models on the four protected zones of Terkos water basin.  相似文献

Nitrogen (N) management is important in sustaining oil palm production. Remote sensing-based approaches via spectral index have promise in assessing the N nutrition content. The objectives of this study are; (i) to examine the N classification capability of three spectral indices (SI) such as visible (Vis), near infrared (NIR) and a combination of visible and NIR (Vis + NIR) from the SPOT-6 satellite, and (ii) to compare the performance of linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and support vector machine (SVM) in discriminating foliar N content of mature oil palms. Nitrogen treatments varied from 0 to 2 kg per palm. The N-sensitive SIs tested in this study were age-dependent. The Vis index (BGRI1) (CVA = 79.55%) and Vis + NIR index (NDVI, NG, IPVI and GNDVI) (CVA = 81.82%) were the best indices to assess N status of young and prime mature palms through the SVM classifier.  相似文献

Understanding the growth and changes in urban environments are the most dynamic system on the earth’s surface is critical for urban planning and sustainable management. This study attempts to present a space-borne satellite-based approach to demonstrate the urban change and its relation with land surface temperature (LST) variation in urban areas of Klang valley, Malaysia. For this purpose an object-based nearest neighbour classifier (S-NN) approach was first applied on SPOT 5 data acquired on 2003 and 2010 and subsequently five land cover categories were extracted. The overall accuracies of the classified maps of 2003 and 2010 were 90.5 % and 91 % respectively. The classified maps were then used as inputs to perform the post classification change detection. The results revealed that the post-classification object-based change detection analysis performed reasonably well with an overall accuracy of 87.5 %, with Kappa statistic of 0.81 %. The changes represented that the urban expanded by 10 % over the period, whereas the urban expansion had caused reduction in soil (1.4 %) and vegetation (11.4 %), and growth in oil palm (2 %), and water (0.7 %). Additionally decision tree method was used to derive the surface heat fluxes from thermal infrared Landsat TM and ETM+bands. Subsequently, a comparison was made with classified result from SPOT 5 images. Results showed high correlation between urban growth and LST.  相似文献

Abstract

The analysis of remote sensing (RS) images, which is often accomplished using unsupervised image classification techniques, requires an effective method to determine an appropriate number of classification clusters. This paper proposes a preliminary analytical method to evaluate the input parameters for unsupervised RS image classification. Our approach involves first analysing the colour spaces of RS images based on the human visual perception theory. This enables the initial number of clusters and their corresponding centres to be automatically established based on the interaction of different forces in our supposed force field. The proposed approach can automatically determine the appropriate initial number of clusters and their corresponding centres for unsupervised image classification. A comparison of the experimental results with those of existing methods showed that the proposed method can considerably facilitate unsupervised image classification for acquiring accurate results efficiently and effectively without any prior knowledge.  相似文献

以多层感知器(MLP)为例,探讨了地学知识与ANN融合进行遥感影像分类的方法。首先对MLP网络结构、学习算法及其改进进行分析;然后总结了MLP进行遥感影像分类的一般方法和存在的缺陷;发展了基于知识的MLP神经网络遥感影像分类模型,并具体利用基于规则的MLP方法进行了遥感土地覆盖分类的实验,把获得的结果与传统统计方法与一般ANN方法进行了综合比较,获得了有意义的结果。  相似文献

Normally, to detect surface water changes, water features are extracted individually using multi-temporal satellite data, and then analyzed and compared to detect their changes. This study introduced a new approach for surface water change detection, which is based on integration of pixel level image fusion and image classification techniques. The proposed approach has the advantages of producing a pansharpened multispectral image, simultaneously highlighting the changed areas, as well as providing a high accuracy result. In doing so, various fusion techniques including Modified IHS, High Pass Filter, Gram Schmidt, and Wavelet-PC were investigated to merge the multi-temporal Landsat ETM+ 2000 and TM 2010 images to highlight the changes. The suitability of the resulting fused images for change detection was evaluated using edge detection, visual interpretation, and quantitative analysis methods. Subsequently, artificial neural network (ANN), support vector machine (SVM), and maximum likelihood (ML) classification techniques were applied to extract and map the highlighted changes. Furthermore, the applicability of the proposed approach for surface water change detection was evaluated in comparison with some common change detection methods including image differencing, principal components analysis, and post classification comparison. The results indicate that Lake Urmia lost about one third of its surface area in the period 2000–2010. The results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, especially Gram Schmidt-ANN and Gram Schmidt-SVM for surface water change detection.  相似文献

This paper describes different change detection techniques, including image differencing, image rationing, image regression and change vector analysis (CVA) to assess their effectiveness for detecting land use/cover change in a Mediterranean environment. Three Landsat TM scenes recorded on 7 July 1985, 27 July 1993 and 21 July 2005 were used to minimize change detection error introduced by seasonal differences. Images were geometrically, atmospherically and radiometrically corrected. The four change detection techniques were applied and an object-based supervised classification was used as a crossclassification to determine ‘from–to’ change which enabled assessment of the four techniques. The change vector analysis resulted in the largest overall accuracy of 75.25 and 75.55% for the 1985–1993 and 1993–2005 image pairs, respectively. The ratio yielded the least accurate results with an overall accuracy of 59.10 and 61.05% for the 1985–1993 and 1993–2005 image pairs, respectively. Different change detection algorithms have their own merits and advantages. However, the change vector analysis change detection technique was the most accurate model for handling the variability present in Mediterranean land use/cover.  相似文献

To have sustainable management and proper decision-making, timely acquisition and analysis of surface features are necessary. Traditional pixel-based analysis is the popular way to extract different categories, but it is not comparable by the achievements that can be achieved through the object-based method that uses the additional characteristics of features in the process of classification. In this paper, three types of classification were used to classify SPOT 5 satellite image in mapping land cover; Support vector machine (SVM) pixel-based, SVM object-based and Decision Tree (DT) pixel-based classification. Normalised Difference Vegetation Index and the brightness value of two infrared bands (NIR and SWIR) were used in manually developed DT classification. The classification of the SVM (pixel based) was generated using the selected groups of pixels that represent the selected features. In addition, the SVM (object based) was implemented by using radial-based function kernel. The classified features were oil palm, rubber, urban area, soil, water and other vegetation. The study found that the overall classification of the DT was the lowest at 69.87% while those of SVM (pixel based) and SVM (object based) were 76.67 and 81.25%, respectively.  相似文献

Abstract

Wildfire is a major disturbance agent in Mediterranean Type Ecosystems (MTEs). Providing reliable, quantitative information on the area of burns and the level of damage caused is therefore important both for guiding resource management and global change monitoring. Previous studies have successfully mapped burn severity using remote sensing, but reliable accuracy has yet to be gained using standard methods over different vegetation types. The objective of this research was to classify burn severity across several vegetation types using Landsat ETM imagery in two areas affected by wildfire in southern California in June 1999. Spectral mixture analysis (SMA) using four reference endmembers (vegetation, soil, shade, non‐photosynthetic vegetation) and a single (charcoal‐ash) image endmember were used to enhance imagery prior to burn severity classification using decision trees. SMA provided a robust technique for enhancing fire‐affected areas due to its ability to extract sub‐pixel information and minimize the effects of topography on single date satellite data. Overall kappa classification accuracy results were high (0.71 and 0.85, respectively) for the burned areas, using five canopy consumption classes. Individual severity class accuracies ranged from 0.5 to 0.94.  相似文献

海洋溢油与烃渗漏是资源与环境遥感关注的重要方向之一。光学遥感在该领域的理论与应用研究表明:(1)光学遥感探测的分类目标已经明确,即溢油污染形成的海面油膜、黑色浮油与油水混合物,海底烃渗漏形成的海面油膜与近海表大气碳氢化合物气体异常;(2)这些目标对入射光具有不同的光学作用过程(如反射、吸收、散射、干涉等),会产生不同的光学响应特征,是光学遥感识别、分类与定量估算的理论基础;(3)在实际应用中,目标介质面(不同类型、折射率与粗糙度的油面与海面)的菲涅尔反射差异,有利于目标探测的同时,也给目标识别分类与定量估算带来诸多不确定性影响。光学遥感技术在本领域的应用特点与优势逐渐清晰,但依然面临巨大的挑战,今后的研究趋势也主要集中于以下几个方面:光学传感器的可探测性,典型目标的光学响应特征,定量遥感模型与参数查找表,目标的光谱与空间尺度响应,实地测量等。随着研究的深入,光学遥感技术必能以新的视角为海洋溢油与烃渗漏目标的实时监测、识别分类与定量评估提供更好的解决方案。  相似文献

The study evaluates the potential of satellite remote sensing technology for detection, mapping and monitoring of diseased rubber plantation affected by Corynespora and Gloeosporium fungi, which causes leaf spot and leaf fall. Multi-date satellite data of IRS-1C have been analyzed adopting enhancement and classification techniques to identify and extract information on the spatial extent and distribution of healthy and diseased rubber plants with an accuracy of 90%. The diseased rubber plantations have shown considerable reduction in the near-infrared reflectance followed by a rise in the reflectance in red and short wave infrared. Vegetation index images generated for different periods have shown the progress of disease incidence, severity and recovery of rubber plantations after fungicidal spraying. The study has demonstrated the use of remote sensing technology in identifying and delineating diseased rubber plantations. Early detection of the disease would be of immense value for taking up necessary control measures and minimize the loss.  相似文献

The usefulness of remote sensing (RS), geographical information systems, and ground observations for monitoring changes in urban areas has been demonstrated through many examples over the last two decades. Research has generally focused on the relief phase following a disaster, but we have instead investigated the subsequent phases involving early recovery, recovery, and development. Our aim was to determine to what extent integration of the available tools, techniques, and methods can be used to efficiently monitor the progress of recovery following an earthquake. Changes in buildings within the Italian city of L’Aquila following the 2009 earthquake were identified from Earth observation data and are used as indicators of progress in the recovery process. These changes were identified through (1) visual analysis, (2) automated change detection using a set of decision rules formulated within an object-based image analysis framework, and (3) validation based on a combination of visual and semiautomated interpretations. An accuracy assessment of the automated analysis showed a producer accuracy of 81% (error of omission: 19%) and a user accuracy of 55% (error of commission: 45%). The use of RS made it possible for the identification of changes to be spatially exhaustive, and also to increase the number of categories used for a recovery index. In addition, using RS allowed the area requiring extensive fieldwork (to monitor the progress of the recovery process) to be reduced.  相似文献

针对遥感图像土地利用一种类别由多种地物组成,存在难以求取类别光谱特征多元分布模型的问题,分析了多光谱遥感图像土地利用的光谱特征和区域多中心特征,提出了一种光谱信息和区域信息基于规则的区域多中心分类方法,以类别的类内中心集合表征类别模式,以区域为分类单元,以区域单元含类别类内中心数和区域单元中属于某种类别的像元占单元总像元的百分比为分类准则;采用类内中心表征类别模式和基于规则的分类方法,较好地解决了土地利用类别由多种地物组成、类别模式不满足多元正态分布的问题,由于类别区域单元多中心特性差异大,分类规则的建立及训练样本的选择易于实现。实验表明:该方法能提高分类精度4%—6%。  相似文献

Automatic extraction of urban features from high resolution satellite images is one of the main applications in remote sensing. It is useful for wide scale applications, namely: urban planning, urban mapping, disaster management, GIS (geographic information systems) updating, and military target detection. One common approach to detecting urban features from high resolution images is to use automatic classification methods. This paper has four main objectives with respect to detecting buildings. The first objective is to compare the performance of the most notable supervised classification algorithms, including the maximum likelihood classifier (MLC) and the support vector machine (SVM). In this experiment the primary consideration is the impact of kernel configuration on the performance of the SVM. The second objective of the study is to explore the suitability of integrating additional bands, namely first principal component (1st PC) and the intensity image, for original data for multi classification approaches. The performance evaluation of classification results is done using two different accuracy assessment methods: pixel based and object based approaches, which reflect the third aim of the study. The objective here is to demonstrate the differences in the evaluation of accuracies of classification methods. Considering consistency, the same set of ground truth data which is produced by labeling the building boundaries in the GIS environment is used for accuracy assessment. Lastly, the fourth aim is to experimentally evaluate variation in the accuracy of classifiers for six different real situations in order to identify the impact of spatial and spectral diversity on results. The method is applied to Quickbird images for various urban complexity levels, extending from simple to complex urban patterns. The simple surface type includes a regular urban area with low density and systematic buildings with brick rooftops. The complex surface type involves almost all kinds of challenges, such as high dense build up areas, regions with bare soil, and small and large buildings with different rooftops, such as concrete, brick, and metal.Using the pixel based accuracy assessment it was shown that the percent building detection (PBD) and quality percent (QP) of the MLC and SVM depend on the complexity and texture variation of the region. Generally, PBD values range between 70% and 90% for the MLC and SVM, respectively. No substantial improvements were observed when the SVM and MLC classifications were developed by the addition of more variables, instead of the use of only four bands. In the evaluation of object based accuracy assessment, it was demonstrated that while MLC and SVM provide higher rates of correct detection, they also provide higher rates of false alarms.  相似文献

Geographical design of riparian buffers with long-term vegetation cover for environmental restoration in agricultural watersheds needs to assess how much farmland is located in the buffers of a concerned watershed. Traditionally, this assessment was done by field surveying and manual mapping, which was a time-consuming and costly process for a large region. In this paper, remote sensing (RS) and geographical information system (GIS) as cost-effective techniques were used to develop a catchments-based approach for identifying critical sites of agricultural riparian buffer restoration. The method was explained through a case study of watershed with 11 catchments and results showed that only four of the catchments were eligible in terms of higher priority for riparian buffer restoration. This research has methodological contributions to the spatial assessment of farming intensities in catchments-based riparian buffers across a watershed and to the geographical designs of variable buffering scenarios within catchments. The former makes the catchments-based management strategy possible, and the latter provides alternative restoration scenarios to meet different management purposes, both of which have direct implementations to the environmental restoration of riparian buffers in the real world. This study, thus, highlights the great potential of RS and GIS applications to the planning and management of riparian buffer restoration in agricultural watersheds.  相似文献

Manual field surveys for nature conservation management are expensive and time-consuming and could be supplemented and streamlined by using Remote Sensing (RS). RS is critical to meet requirements of existing laws such as the EU Habitats Directive (HabDir) and more importantly to meet future challenges. The full potential of RS has yet to be harnessed as different nomenclatures and procedures hinder interoperability, comparison and provenance. Therefore, automated tools are needed to use RS data to produce comparable, empirical data outputs that lend themselves to data discovery and provenance. These issues are addressed by a novel, semi-automatic ontology-based classification method that uses machine learning algorithms and Web Ontology Language (OWL) ontologies that yields traceable, interoperable and observation-based classification outputs. The method was tested on European Union Nature Information System (EUNIS) grasslands in Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany. The developed methodology is a first step in developing observation-based ontologies in the field of nature conservation. The tests show promising results for the determination of the grassland indicators wetness and alkalinity with an overall accuracy of 85% for alkalinity and 76% for wetness.  相似文献

为提高房屋震害预测效率,将数字化技术应用于房屋震害预测分类工作中。利用航空摄影测量、遥感及地理信息系统技术,提出两种房屋震害预测分类数字化辅助方法。若预测区域有符合条件的遥感影像对,利用航空摄影测量技术可获得DSM及DEM模型,进一步从层数上对建筑物进行分类。另一种方法则是利用遥感技术提取有关建筑物阴影信息,由阴影计算建筑物层数,进而对建筑物进行分类。利用地理信息系统自动统计不同类建筑物总面积,画出不同类建筑的地理分布图。与传统方法相比,这种方法效率高,可以纵览全局,减少房屋震害预测现场调查工作量,提高震害预测工作效率。  相似文献
