The analysis of the history of the management and distribution of electricity, water and sanitation networks in Santiago de Chile throws light on a problem which is central to thinking on the relationship between urban services management and territorial splintering: what is the impact of urban policy, in particular housing policy and urban planning, on access to services and on the potential levels of social segregation and institutional splintering of metropolises?The Chilean example is eminently anchored in its political and institutional history. We shall see, for example, that the authoritarian urban policy of the military government, associated with early liberal reform, enabled the improvement of access to networks in every municipality of the Greater Santiago area. However, this success, leading to the integration by urban services of a large territory, does not signify that networks remained neutral as regards the process of spatial segregation. Inversely, we can defend the theory that the presence of an integrated service was a necessary condition and a reinforcing factor of the process of urban spread and residential segregation. This paradoxical argument is a result of the ambivalent liberal network and urban policies of the military government. Urban expansion was largely sustained by the development of integrated infrastructures and universal services. The processes of liberalising land and urban services were mutually sustaining and provided the necessary conditions for the birth of an extremely intense movement of urban sprawl and segregation between 1985 and 2000. 相似文献

Urban sprawl in South America has for many decades been driven by the housing debate, with major impact on overall urban development. The impact of uncontrolled expansion has been social, economic and environmental degradation to high rates of poverty, poor services and transport. The presence of undeveloped areas within suburban landscapes, such as former infrastructural facilities, obsolete airports, and abandoned train stations, contribute to the impetus to reclaimed and revamped land. These spaces also trigger political aspirations for implementing better practices on “smart” growth, sustainable development and urban regeneration principles. A case in point is the former airport ‘Aeropuerto Cerrillos’ in Santiago, Chile, which closed in 2001 after years of decay; it intended to replace and host a large-scale urban project called ‘Ciudad Parque Bicentenario’. This development is still incomplete and describes a series of pressures on a planning system traditionally adjusted to promote expansion confirming that urban sprawl is still an open agenda triggered by the presence of diverse unexpected urban gaps. 相似文献

This report is a petrographic study of alteration phenomena in an area of 100 km2 in the Coastal Range west of Santiago. The stratified sequence of the area is of Cretaceous age and belongs to the western monoclinal limb of the Andean Geosyncline. Two structural units are present, separated by an angular unconformity. The older is about 9,000 m thick, and the younger 300 m thick. The rock types are mostly altered andesitic flows and flow breccias, and keratophyric ignimbrites and lavas, with alternating marine, brackish-water and terrestrial interbeds. Stratified rocks are cut locally by acid and basic apophyses and dikes, probably feeders of their volcanic host rocks. Discordant Cretaceous granitic plutons intrude the older unit. Throughout the whole stratigraphic section there are alteration minerals, which selectively replace the primary minerals, or fill amygdules and open fractures, or form a cement in flows, dikes and sedimentary interbeds. Patterns of alteration are regular and persistent; they correlate on a large scale with stratigraphic level and on a smaller scale with position within each individual flow and situation within amygdules. Reappearence of the greenschist facies at a higher level in the younger unit poses a problem for which several explanations are possible. The smaller scale pattern of alteration shows a persistent tendency —not without exception — for the “grade” of the alteration assemblage (as correlated with depth on the large scale) to increase: from the base of the flow (non-amygdaloidal part) upward (amygdaloidal part), and from the rim of each amygdule inward. Also recognizable on the scale of a single flow is a tendency for upward increase in: a) extent of alteration (the basal zone may be fresh andesite), and b) weight percent of Na2O, K2O (with complementary depletion in CaO), and of Fe2O3/FeO. Preliminary observations indicate that this alteration pattern persists for at least 400 km north of the area here described in rocks of similar lithology and age. In this paper we examine two central concepts of urban metabolism (‘system boundaries’ and ‘flows’), and explore how to approach them as a means to politicise urban metabolism research. We present empirical findings from two case studies of waste management, in Mexico City and Santiago de Chile, looking at: the materiality of waste flows, the actors involved in them, and how waste flows relate to issues of environmental justice. We argue that urban metabolism, as a methodology to understand urban sustainability, has the potential to produce knowledge to trigger urban transformations, and to analyse the social, political and environmental aspects of waste management in urban areas. 相似文献

水文频率分析计算需满足独立随机同分布假设,其中同分布是指水文样本在过去、现在和未来均服从同一总体分布,即样本应具有一致性。然而,由于气候变化及人类活动的影响,使得一致性的假设受到挑战,因此变化环境下传统频率计算方法获得的设计结果,其可靠性受到质疑。为此,探索适应非一致性极值系列的频率分析方法已显得非常重要。总结介绍国内外关于非一致性水文频率分析的一些代表性研究成果,主要集中在以下两方面:一是基于还原/还现途径;二是基于非一致性极值系列直接进行水文频率分析途径。最后对进一步值得研究的问题进行了展望。 相似文献

On August 20, 1852, an earthquake caused widespread destruction in the city of Santiago de Cuba and its surroundings. A comprehensive search for contemporary documentation was made. The information gathered was used for a detailed analysis of the damage from and characteristics of the earthquakes. Intensities were evaluated at 45 localities, and an isoseismal scheme has been drawn. Maximum intensity reached 8 degrees (MSK), and 6.4 was the estimated magnitude. Damage to the city of Santiago de Cuba has been studied in detail. The low quality of construction aggravated the damage. The total number of casualties was two dead and approximately 200 injured. The shock was felt within 80,000 km2. The epicenter was determined as 19.75º N, 75.32º W, h = 30 km. This study shows that contemporary Cuban documents must be studied with care in their historical and cultural background to avoid overestimating earthquake intensities. 相似文献

The applications of the tools of nonlinear time-series analysis to measurements obtained by digital ionosonde PARUS, created at IZMIRAN, is considered. Small-scale structure of the electron density Ne at F-region of ionosphere is examined by exploring observables of reflected high-frequency radio wave.Time series corresponding to given transmitter frequency f and virtual height h and conforming to usual, not perturbed, day ionogram are examined. Using the standard correlation algorithm, we have determined that for an embedding dimension n = 15, computed correlation dimension D2(n) reaches its saturation, D2 4.Reliability of the estimation of the correlation dimension was confirmed by applying to our sets of measurements J. Theiler's modification of standard algorithm. The test of time difference, smoothing procedure, calculation of the largest Liapounov exponent, and analysis of the surrogate data were employed in our study of data sets. Although our sets of measurements contain a significant random noise, nonlinear time-series analysis clear up, that the dynamics of unperturbed ionosphere, generating this time series, exhibits low-dimensional behavior. 相似文献

Tidal bundle sequences are the characteristic large-scale cross-bedded sets with mud drapes deposited by strongly asymmetrical bidirectional tidal currents. By means of time series analysis of the bundle thickness of such sequences, the palaeohydrodynamic processes can be reconstructed. This technique involves: (1) Fourier analysis to test the periodicity of the bundle-thickness sequence and to estimate the periods and the phases of the most important periodic components; (2) filtering analysis to resolve the bundle-thickness sequence into different components (i.e. diurnal components, random variations, neap/spring components and longer period variations) and also to estimate the relative importance (amplitude) of each component. From these analyses, useful information can be derived as to the palaeotidal regime (whether semidiurnal or mixed) and also about the possible influence of non-tidal processes, such as storms (their strength, duration, frequency and direction). Results from a subrecent and an ancient example show that tidal currents and storm-induced currents are the most important hydrodynamic processes in the transport and deposition of sediment in these shallow marine environments. 相似文献

Lake sediments provide archives of various parameters correlative with climatic oscillations such as seasonal temperature and humidity. However, geochemical records from many European and Asian lakes cannot be directly correlated with meteorological data within densely populated areas, because of anthropogenic pollution there. The human impact has greatly increased within the instrumental period of the last 150-200 years. However, the pollution problem is not essential for the mountain lakes of Siberia and Mongolia remote from industrial and agricultural centers. For such lakes a correlation between sedimentological-geochemical (inorganic) parameters and climatic data is correct enough. It is able to estimate any type of transfer functions for quantification of that dependence. 相似文献

Distribution of copper, zinc, lead and cadmium concentrations in stream sediments from the Mapocho River in Santiago, Chile 总被引:17,自引:0,他引:17
The Mapocho river, which crosses downtown Santiago, is one of the most important rivers in contact with a population of about six million inhabitants. Anthropogenic activities, industrialization, farming activities, transport, urbanization, animal and human excretions, domestic wastes and copper mining have affected the river, contaminating it and its sediments with heavy metals. Concentration and distribution of Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd were studied with the purpose of determining their bioavailability and their relation with the characteristics of the sediments. Freshly deposited seasonal sediments were collected from 0–8 cm depths from 6 locations (S1 to S6) along the 30-km long channel length, in the four seasons of year on the following dates: May 2001 (D1, autumn); August 2001 (D2, winter); October 2001 (D3, spring) and January 2002 (D4, summer). The dried samples were sifted to obtain the < 63-μm sediment fraction, since it has been shown that large amounts of heavy metals are bound in the fine-grained fraction of the sediment. Cu and Zn were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry and Pb and Cd by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The highest concentrations of Cu (2850 μg g− 1) were found in the northern part of the river (S1, average D1–D4), near the mountains and a copper mine, and then decreased downstream to 209 μg g− 1 (S6). Total Zn showed an irregular variation, with higher values at S1 (1290 μg g− 1) and high values in some winter sampling (1384 μg g− 1 S4, S5–D2). Pb showed different trends, increasing from S1 to S6 (17 to 61 μg g− 1), with the highest values in the summer samples (83 μg g− 1, S4–S6, D4), and total Cd increased slightly from mean values of 0.2 and 0.5 μg g− 1. Partition into five fractions was made using Tessier's analytical sequential extraction technique; the residue was treated with aqua regia for recovery studies, although this step is not part of the Tessier procedure. The results show that Cu, Zn and Pb in the sediments were dependent on the sampling places along the river, and variation in two years was low (D1–D4). The highest values of total organic matter, carbonate and conductivity were found in S6, which has the smallest size particles, while at S1 the sediments were predominantly sand and contain larger amounts of silica. Cu associated with carbonate decreased gradually from 58% (1771 μg g− 1, S1) to 16% (32 μg g− 1, S6); Cu bonded to reducible fraction was almost constant (33% to 37%), and Cu associated with oxidizable fraction increased from 7% (S1) to 34% (S6), but copper content was lower (214 to 68 μg g− 1). Zn had a similar fractionation profile. However, Pb bound to oxidizable fraction did not show significant percent variation along the river (20% to 19%), but the amount bounded was 4 to 12 μg g− 1. The residual fraction increased from 24% to 41% (5 to 25 μg g− 1, S1 to S6). The distribution of Cd in the sediment was almost independent of the sampling stations and was bound to carbonate, reducible and residual fraction in similar proportion. Cu and Zn at S1 were mainly bound to carbonates and reducible phases with 91% and 73% (2779 and 965 μg g− 1, respectively), and with a change in the pH and/or the redox potential of the sediment–water system, these contaminants could easily enter the food chain. Debris and mudflows are some of the main geological hazards in the mountain foothills of the Chilean capital city of Santiago.
There, the risk of flows triggered in the basins of ravines that drain the range into the city increases with time due to
the city growth. A multivariate statistical study based on the logistic regression method is presented. The model provides
equations that allow the computation of combined meteorological triggering factors associated with a probability of rain-induced
flow occurrence. Daily rainfall, accumulated rainfall and the snowfall level, traditionally considered as the relevant factors,
are analysed for a 25-year period. The results show a strong relevance of the rainfall on the day of the flow event over the
other factors. However, the relatively low probabilities returned for some real flow events suggest that the model does not
capture all the significant variables and the problem is more complex than as it has been traditionally assumed, and further
investigations are needed to develop predictive models of flow triggering. 相似文献

A discontinuous outcrop of Palaeozoic rhythmic clastites appears in the North Chilean Coastal Cordillera. The Formación El Toco (21°15–22°15S) whose scarce flora points to a presumably Upper Devonian age forms the northernmost part of the outcrop. It is discordantly overlain by Lower Jurassic volcanics (Fm. La Negra), its base, however, is not exposed. Hercynian heteromorphous deformation led to predominantly NW trending folds strongly inclined mostly to the SW. Chevron-like folds of 0.1 to 30 m occur locally and seem to display properties transitional between synsedimentary-gravitational and early tectonic deformation.The series which is at least 2300 m thick consists of proximal, in parts pebbly turbidites with non-turbiditic finegrained intercalations. Incomplete BOUMA-sequences frequently begin with A-beds of grey to green immature, badly sorted coarse sandstones of up to 6 m thickness containing isolated quartz- and pelite-clasts.Measurements of flute casts and f oresets show palaeocurrents which came from NW and NNE. Along with petrographic observations they indicate southward directed transport of detritus from low metamorphic sedimentary and magmatic source areas into an Upper Devonian nonvolcanic basin.
Zusammenfassung Die Formación El Toco ist der nördlichste Aufschluß einer Kette von Vorkommen paläozoischer rhythmischer Klastite in der nordchilenischen Küstenkordillere. Diese Formation (21°15–22°15S), deren spärliche Flora vorbehaltlich dem Oberdevon zuzuordnen ist, wird diskordant von unterjurassischen Vulkaniten (Fm. La Negra) überlagert —das Liegende ist nicht aufgeschlossen. Variszische heteromorphe Deformation führte zu vorherrschend NW-streichender Faltung, die meist starke SW-Vergenz zeigt. Lokal tritt eine scharfe Verfaltung im 0,1 bis 30 m-Bereich hinzu, die sowohl synsedimentär-gravitative als auch frühtektonische Deformationsmerkmale zeigt.Die mindestens 2300 m mächtige Serie ist ein proximaler Flysch mit z. T. kiesführenden Turbiditen, in die nichtturbiditische feinkörnige Partien eingeschaltet sind. Die unvollständigen BOUMA-Sequenzen beginnen häufig mit einer aus grauen bis grünen unreifen und schlechtsortierten Grobsandsteinen bestehenden A-Division von bis zu 6 m Mächtigkeit, die isolierte Quarz- und Pelitklasten enthalten kann.Flute cast- und Foreset-Messungen weisen auf Paläoströmungsrichtungen aus NW und NNO hin. Zusammen mit petrographischen Analysen läßt sich daraus ein südwärts gerichteter Transport von schwachmetamorphsedimentärem und magmatischem Detritus in ein oberdevonisches nicht-vulkanisches Becken ableiten.
Résumén Ritmitas clásticas de edad paleozoica forman afloramientos discontinuos en la Cordillera de la Costa del Norte de Chile. La Formación El Toco (21°15–22°15S), que contiene una flora escasa de probable edad Devónico Superior, constituye la parte más septentrional de estos afloramientos. La base no se conoce, mientras que el techo infrayace discordantemente a volcanitas jurásicas inferiores (Fm. La Negra). Deformaciones hercínicas heteromórficas llevan a la formación de pliegues orientados predominantemente al NW inclinados fuertemente al SW. Localmente aparecen pliegues en forma de chevron de un tamano de 0.1 a 30 m que muestran caracteristicas de deformación transicional entre sinsedimentana-gravitativa y tectónica temprana.La serie que tiene una potencia de por lo menos 2300 m consiste en turbiditas proximales parcialmente con gravas e intercalaciones finas no-turbidíticas. Secuencias incompletas de BOUMA empiezan frecuentemente con capas de la division A (espesor maximo 6 m) los cuales se componen con frecuencia de areniscas gruesas gris-verdes, composicionalmente inmaduras y mal seleccionadas, con clastos aislados de cuarzo y pelita.Medidas de flute casts y foresets muestran paleocorrientes provenientes de NW y NNE. Junto con observaciones petrográficas, las paleocorrientes indican un transporte de material detrítico, originado de áreas con rocas sedimentarias, metamórficas de bajo grado e ígneas, dirigido al sur hacia una cuenca no volcánica de edad Devónico Superior.

The main rock types and mineral assemblages of the metamorphic rocks of the territory of Chile are described, and the metamorphic facies are identified. The crystalline basement of Chile consists of predominantly low-grade, semipelitic metamorphic and granitic rocks, exposed mostly along the coastal area of Central and Southern Chile, and in isolated areas of Northern Chile. Radiometric ages of both metamorphic and igneous rocks indicate Late Paleozoic. Three metamorphic series were recognized in Central Chile and used for a tentative classification of the metamorphic rocks from the remaining areas. The series correspond to intermediate-high pressure, intermediate-low pressure, and low pressure conditions of metamorphism, respectively. The formation of these series, their relation toMiyashiro's circumpacific paired belts, and the role of the basement during the Andean orogeny, are briefly discussed.
Zusammenfassung Die Haupttypen der metamorphen Gesteine Chiles und deren Mineralzusammensetzung werden beschrieben und deren metamorphe Fazies charakterisiert. Das chilenische kristalline Grundgebirge besteht in der Hauptsache aus Graniten und semipelitischen Gesteinen, die unter den Bedingungen der niedriggradigen Metamorphose umgewandelt wurden. Die Gesteine sind in der Regel in der Küstenzone Süd- und Zentral-Chiles aufgeschlossen; in Nord-Chile treten sie isoliert auf. Radiometrische Altersbestimmungen ergaben sowohl für die Tiefenwie für die metamorphen Gesteine ein spätpaläozoisches Alter. In Zentral-Chile wurden drei metamorphe Serien erkannt und für eine erste Klassifizierung der metamorphen Gesteine dieses Gebietes herangezogen. Die Serien entstanden in der Hauptsache durch Metamorphoseprozesse, die unter mittleren bis hohen, mittleren bis tiefen und tiefen Drücken abliefen. Die Bildung dieser Serien, ihre Beziehung zuMiyashiro's zirkumpazifischen Gürtelpaaren und die Rolle des Grundgebirges während der Anden-Orogenese werden kurz diskutiert.
Resumen Se describen los principales tipos de rocas y asociaciones minerales del basamento cristalino del territorio chileno. Este basamento consiste predominantemente de rocas metamórficas semipelíticas de bajo grado y de rocas graníticas, expuestas de preferencia a lo largo de la región costera de Chile Central y Austral y en áreas aisladas de Chile Septentrional. La edad radiométrica de las rocas metamórficas y graníticas indica Neopaleozoico. En Chile Central se encontraron tres series metamórficas, las que fueron empleadas para la clasificación provisoria de las rocas de otras partes del país. Estas series corresponden a condiciones de metamorfismo a presiones intermedia-alta, intermedia-baja, y baja, respectivamente. Se discuten brevemente la formación de las series, su relación a los arcos circumpacíficos apareados deMiyashiro, y el papel del basamento durante la orogénesis andina.

We report on a recent finding of granulitic and gabbroic xenoliths in the Rincon de Parangueo and La Cintura maars, within the Valle de Santiago volcanic field. The field is formed by several maars, cinder cones, and shield volcanoes and is located at the northern sector of the extensive Michoacan-Guanajuato volcanic field, characterized by abundant Neogene cinder cones and medium-sized shield volcanoes. The maars are distributed along a belt elongated NW-SE, apparently related to a regional fault system that has been documented in the west-central sector of the Trans-Mexican volcanic belt (TMVB). Two types of xenoliths have been distinguished—i.e., hypersthene-diopside granulites and gabbroic xenoliths—which are present in the Rincon de Parangueo and La Cintura maars, respectively. The silica content in the granulites has a narrow range between 46.9 and 50.9 wt%, plagioclase crystals are fractured and display reaction borders, and crystals appear to have grown slowly and show no compositional zoning. Silica in the gabbroic xenoliths ranges from 45.7 to 47.5 wt%. Chemical composition is similar to mafic and intermediate orthogneiss xenoliths from the San Luis Potosi maars of the Central Mexican Altiplano. An Sm/Nd model age for the granulitic xenoliths from Rincon de Parangueo maar of 1.5 Ga supports the presence of a Precambrian lower crust. This finding challenges current models of crustal structure in central and western Mexico. The Valle de Santiago field represents the westernmost lower-crustal xenolith locality reported thus far. It lies within the Guerrero terrane that has been considered as a collage of island arcs built on oceanic lithosphere and accreted to the North American plate during late Mesozoic time. Our results support a composite nature for the Guerrero terrane and extend the limit of possible granulitic lower continental crust farther to the west of the Central Altiplano province, beneath the TMVB, than currently considered (i.e., to the east of the Guerrero terrane). 相似文献

Evaluation of groundwater availability and sustainable extraction rate for the Upper Santiago Valley Aquifer,Chile 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The use of groundwater as water supply has increased dramatically in Santiago, Chile, during the last decades, and there is a need for accurately estimating the actual groundwater supply capacity in the upper Santiago Valley aquifer. The behavior of this aquifer was studied in order to determine the availability of water and the long-range sustainable extraction rate.Water-table depths were simulated using a numerical model with information on recharge from the last 48 years under different extraction policies. With this series of groundwater level data, groundwater level probability distribution functions were determined and extraction statistics were estimated by fitting time series models and by using the crossing theory. With this information, it has been possible to calculate the risk of being unable to supply groundwater demand because the results verify that only 67% of the water rights granted are able to be extracted on a sustained basis with a 90% exceedance probability. Furthermore, the results obtained demonstrate that the method is adequate for determining exceedance probabilities of groundwater flow.
Resumen El uso de las aguas subterráneas como fuente de abastecimiento se ha incrementado enormemente en Santiago de Chile durante las últimas décadas, por lo que se necesita estimar de forma adecuada la capacidad actual de suministro del acuífero superior del Valle de Santiago. Se ha estudiado el comportamiento de este acuífero para determinar la disponibilidad de recursos y la tasa de extracción sustentable a largo plazo.Se ha simulado los niveles freáticos del acuífero utilizando un modelo numérico con información de la recarga en los últimos 48 años bajo diferentes regímenes de extracción. Con esta serie de datos de los niveles en el acuífero, se ha determinado la distribución de probabilidad de los niveles de las aguas subterráneas y se ha estimado las estadísticas de las extracciones mediante el ajuste de modelos de series temporales y la teoría de cruce. Con esta información, se ha podido calcular el riego de no satisfacer la demanda de abastecimiento, puesto que los resultados verifican que sólo se podría extraer el 67% de las concesiones de agua existentes de manera sustentable con un 90% de probabilidad de excedencia. Aún más, los resultados obtenidos demuestran que el método es adecuado para determinar las probabilidades de excedencia del flujo de las aguas subterráneas.
Resumé Lutilisation de leau souterraine pour leau potable sest considérablement accrue à Santiago (Chili) au cours des derniers lustres; cest pourquoi il est maintenant nécessaire destimer avec précision la capacité réelle dalimentation de la nappe de laquifère supérieur de la vallée de Santiago. Le fonctionnement de cet aquifère a été étudié afin de déterminer la disponibilité en eau et le taux dextraction durable à long terme.Les niveaux de la nappe ont été simulés avec un modèle numérique à partir dinformation sur la recharge au cours des 48 dernières années pour différentes politiques dextraction. A partir de cette série de données piézométriques, des fonctions de distribution de probabilité des niveaux de la nappe ont été déterminées et des statistiques dextraction ont été estimées par ajustement de modèles de séries chronologiques en utilisant la théorie du croisement. Avec ces informations, il a été possible de calculer le risque de ne pas pouvoir satisfaire la demande deau souterraine, puisque les résultats vérifient que seulement 67% des droits deau attribués peuvent être extraits sur une base durable avec une probabilité de dépassement de 90%. En outre, les résultats obtenus démontrent que la méthode est adaptée à la détermination des probabilités de dépassement de lécoulement souterrain.相似文献

对华夏地块南岭地区38个新元古代基底变质岩的岩相学和地球化学分析表明,它们的原岩都是沉积岩。不同地区变质沉积岩的化学成分存在一定的变化,但是它们大都具有明显的轻重稀土元素分异和Eu负异常(Eu/Eu^+=0.35~0.76),高K2O/Na2O、La/Co、Th/Sc比值和低Cr/Zr比值,显示了高成熟度和沉积再循环地壳的特点,表明沉积岩的物质主要来源于古老的再循环的地壳,它们沉积于被动大陆边缘。与其他地区元古宙沉积岩的地球化学对比显示,南岭地区这些新元古代沉积岩不同于赣中和扬子地块南缘的元古宙沉积岩,而与印度东北部ksser Himalaya地区的元古宙沉积岩较为相似。所以,南岭地区新元古代沉积岩的物质不可能来自与赣中和扬子地块南缘沉积物相同的扬子南部的源区,而应该来自南方,这一推论与岩相古地理分析以及沉积物中碎屑锆石形貌特征和年龄谱变化的结论是一致的,指示华夏南部新元古代时曾与一个大陆源区相邻。根据地球化学对比研究,结合已有的年代学对比,推断华夏地块南岭地区(特别是中部)新元古代沉积物很可能来源于与Lesser Himalaya地区元古宙沉积岩相同的源区,即东Gondwana大陆的北缘。这样,华夏地块在Rodinia超大陆裂解时期很可能是位于西澳大利亚-东印度-东南极之间。 相似文献

The Lonquimay volcanic complex (LVC) in the high Southern Andes comprises a stratocone and NE-trending flank-cone alignments. Numerous effusive and explosive volcanic eruptions characterize its post-glacial magmatic activity. Our tephrostratigraphic record, pre-dating the four historically documented eruptions, comprises 22 dated pyroclastic deposits that are used to constrain repose time distribution and eruption probability of the LVC magmatic system. Statistical examination of the stratigraphy-based eruption time series yields probabilities of 20–50 % for at least one explosive (VEI ≥ 3) eruption within the next 100 years as of 2011. The tephra deposits are subdivided into three petrographic groups: a felsic group (Lonquimay colored-pumice tephra, LCPT), an intermediate population (Lonquimay gray pumice tephra, LGPT), and a mafic member (Lonquimay dark scoria tephra, LDST). The distribution of these petrographic groups through the LVC tephrostratigraphy is linked to the observed changes in repose times. LDST-deposits as well as deposits compositionally zoned from LCPT to LGPT dominate the lower part of the stratigraphy for which recurrence times are short (RTmean = 417 ± 169a). Deposits younger than 6,000 b2k (years before 2000 AD) have dominantly LCPT and minor LDST compositions, no longer contain LGPT, and repose times are significantly longer (RTmean = 1,350 ± 310a). We interpret the change in eruption regime to result from a rearrangement in the magma storage and plumbing system. Thermobarometric calculations based on cpx–liquid equilibria and amphibole compositions reveal three distinct magma storage levels: the mafic LDST derive from mid crustal storage (P mean = 476 ± 95 MPa, T mean = 1,073 ± 24 °C), felsic LCPT mainly erupted from upper-crustal level (P mean = 86 ± 49 MPa, T mean = 936 ± 24 °C), whereas LGPT samples yield intermediate storage depths (P mean = 239 ± 100 MPa, T mean = 1,013 ± 17 °C). Magma contributions from this intermediate reservoir are restricted to >6,000 b2k when the Lonquimay plumbing system was in a regime of short repose times; disappearance of the intermediate reservoir coincides with the change to longer repose times between eruptions. 相似文献
