First, in connection with their construction due to HADAMARD, the mathematical and physical meaning of covariant Green's functions in relativistic gravitational fields - according to EINSTEIN: on curved space-time - is discussed. Then, in the case of a general static spherically symmetric space-time the construction equations for a scalar Green's function are cast into symmetry-adapted form providing a convenient starting point for an explicit calculation of the Hadámard building elements. In applying the obtained basic scheme to a special one-parameter family of model metrics one succeeds in advancing to the explicit exact calculation of tail-term coefficients of a massless Green's function which are simultaneously coefficients in the Schwinger-De Witt expansion of the Feynman propagator for the corresponding massive Klein-Gordon equation on curved space-time.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an exact vacuum solution of the Kaluza-Klein (KK) theory, which describes nonrotating KK black holes. We investigate general properties of geodesic motion in the space-time and calculate the effective potential for null geodesics. The thermodynamical quantities as well as the gravitational lensing of the solution is calculated. We illustrate that the Carter-Penrose diagram for different parameter values resembles the Schwarzschild-like, naked and charged solutions.  相似文献

In this work the junction conditions between the exterior Reissner-Nordstrom-Vaidya space-time with the interior quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time have been studied for analyzing gravitational collapse in the presence of a magneto-hydrodynamic fluid undergoing dissipation in the form of heat flow. We have discussed about the apparent horizon and have evaluated the time difference between the formation of apparent horizon and central singularity.   相似文献

In this paper we investigate the combined influence of both cosmological and electromagnetic particle creation mechanisms upon massive particles with spin 1/2 on the basis of general covariant Dirac theory.Curved space-time, a radiation-dominated Friedmann universe, is treated as an unquantized gravitational field and the low-frequency part of the 2.7 K background radiation is approximated by homogeneous, constant, and parallel external electric and magnetic fields. We calculate the number density of spin 1/2 particles with massm which are created under the influence of both these external fields.We find that the electric field and the magnetic field both amplify the genuine, purely gravitational particle production. This influence of the magnetic field, which is in contrast to its reducing effect as far as the creation of spin-zero particles is concerned, can clearly be traced back to its coupling to the spin of the particles.Under certain conditions the electromagnetic fields in the early universe can influence the particle creation process even more than the gravitational field.  相似文献

引力波的存在是爱因斯坦在广义相对论理论中提出的一个重要预言.由于目前技术水平的限制,无法在实验室产生足以被探测到的引力波,因此宇宙中大量的大质量剧烈活动的天体成为科学家研究引力波的首选,从而诞生了引力波天文学.引力波探测将开启研究宇宙的新窗口,是继电磁辐射、宇宙线和中微子探测后探索宇宙奥秘的又一重要手段,对天文学研究有着极为重要的意义.新一代应用了高灵敏度的迈克耳逊干涉仪装置的长基线引力波探测仪正在建造中.该综述从引力波理论出发,阐述了目前研究较多的可探测引力波源,给出了目前观测上的最新进展,并展望了今后的发展前景.  相似文献

In this paper we have considered axially symmetric Bianchi-I, Kantowski Sachs and Bianchi-III space-time models with bulk viscosity, where the gravitational constant G and the cosmological term Λ vary with time. In Einstein equations this variation in G and Λ are taken in such a way as to preserve the energy momentum tensor. Solutions are obtained with the cosmological term varying inversely with square of time.  相似文献

A pre-relativistic cosmological approach to electromagnetism and gravitation is explored that leads to a cosmic time variation of the fundamental constants. Space itself is supposed to have physical substance, which manifests by its permeability. The scale factors of the permeability tensor induce a time variation of the fundamental constants. Atomic radii, periods, and energy levels scale in cosmic time, which results in dispersionless redshifts without invoking a space expansion. Hubble constant and deceleration parameter are reviewed in this context. The time variation of the gravitational constant at the present epoch can be expressed in terms of these quantities. This provides a completely new way to restrain the deceleration parameter from laboratory bounds on the time variation of the gravitational constant. This variation also affects the redshift dependence of angular diameters and the surface brightness, and we study in some detail the redshift scaling of the linear sizes of radio sources. The effect of the varying constants on source counts is discussed, and an estimate on the curvature radius of the hyperbolic3-space is inferred from the peak in the quasar distribution. The background radiation in this dispersionless, permeable space-time stays perfectly Planckian. Cosmic time is discussed in terms of atomic and gravitational clocks, as well as cosmological age dating, in particular how the age of the Universe relates to the age of the Galaxy in a permeable space-time. We give a class of spherically symmetric-Anti de Sitter (Ads), exact solution in the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity (TEGR). The solution depends on an arbitrary function F(R)\mathcal{F}(R) and reproduce the metric of Schwarzschild Ads space-time. In the context of the Hamiltonian formulation of the TEGR we compute the gravitational energy of this class. The calculation is carried out by means of an expression for the energy of the gravitational field that naturally arises from the integral form of the constraint equations of the formalism. We show that the form of the energy depends on the arbitrary function. We make a constrain on this arbitrary function to give the correct form of energy.  相似文献

We study the holographic dark energy on the subject of Hořava-Lifshitz gravity with a time dependent gravitational constant G(t), in the non-flat space-time. We obtain the differential equation that specify the evolution of the dark energy density parameter based on varying gravitational constant. We find out a relation for the state parameter of the dark energy equation of state to low red-shifts which containing varying G corrections in the non-flat space-time.  相似文献

Gravitational radiation from the proper quadrupole momentum variation of asymmetric anticollapsar, which is a model of white and grey holes, is considered within the framework of general relativity. In the white hole model (and grey hole at the anticollapsing stage) in extended space-time manifolds the power of gravitational radiation may attain very high values and can serve as possible source of gravitational wave bursts from Supernova 1987A as well as in Weber's experiments. The correlation between gravitational bursts and bursts of electromagnetic radiation and some features of the latter can be an evidence of such model.  相似文献

The usual picture in which a massive object undergoes a gravitational collapse to become a black hole and ultimately end up in space-time singularity, is modified with the introduction of a negative energy force of repulsion effective only at a short range. It is shown that the object executes oscullations between states of high and low densities.From the view point of high energy astrophysics, such a massive oscillator combines some of the attractive features of black holes and white holes. It is suggested that the energy production and spectral features of quasars, BL-Lacs and the active galactic nuclei might be accounted for by postulating the existence of massive oscillators.  相似文献

Helium formation is studied in a class of exact radiation-filled cosmological models in which the space-time geometry is represented by the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker metric and the source of the gravitational field is a non-co-moving imperfect fluid. Using the methods described by Barrow (1984) we find it possible to calculate the predicted helium-4 abundance in the class of radiative models analytically in terms of the results in the corresponding standard model. It is found that different amounts of helium-4 are produced at different space-time locations in the models. It is also found that while there is less helium-4 produced than in the standard model, the models give rise to predictions for the primordial helium-4 abundance within the observed range. In view of current estimates for the pre-galactic helium abundance and the predictions obtained from the standard model, models in which less helium is produced are of particular interest. The techniques employed in the calculation are discussed, and the assumptions and approximations that have been made are described in some detail.  相似文献

In this work, we have investigated the outcome of gravitational collapse in Husain space-time in the presence of electro-magnetic and a scalar field with potential. In order to study the nature of the singularity, global behavior of radial null geodesics have been taken into account. The nature of singularities formed has been thoroughly studied for all possible variations of the parameters. These choices of parameters has been presented in tabular form in various dimensions. It is seen that irrespective of whatever values of the parameters chosen, the collapse always results in a naked singularity in all dimensions. There is less possibility of formation of a black hole. Hence this work is a significant counterexample of the cosmic censorship hypothesis.  相似文献

It is shown that, when taking into account the self-gravity of field energy of a gravitational field, one obtains a modified field equation for the intensity of gravitational field, the solution of which, when inserted in Kepler's problem, furnishes a formula for the perihelion precession of planets which (except of a fitting numerical factor) is identical with Einstein's. In Appendix 1 we point out the significance of an analogous equation in electrodynamics, and in Appendix 2 we shall try to construct a field model within the relativistic field theory which justifies the previous perihelion-shift calculation.  相似文献

In this paper we present an exact solution of Einstein’s field equations describing the Schwarzschild black hole in dark energy background. It is also regarded as an embedded solution that the Schwarzschild black hole is embedded into the dark energy space producing Schwarzschild-dark energy black hole. It is found that the space-time geometry of Schwarzschild-dark energy solution is non-vacuum Petrov type D in the classification of space-times. We study the energy conditions (like weak, strong and dominant conditions) for the energy-momentum tensor of the Schwarzschild-dark energy solution. We also find that the energy-momentum tensor of the Schwarzschild-dark energy solution violates the strong energy condition due to the negative pressure leading to a repulsive gravitational force of the matter field in the space-time. It is shown that the time-like vector field for an observer in the Schwarzschild-dark energy space is expanding, accelerating, shearing and non-rotating. We investigate the surface gravity and the area of the horizons for the Schwarzschild-dark energy black hole.  相似文献

For a previously studied theory of gravitation in flat space-time a general formula of the gravitational radiation at large distances from a system of bodies is derived. The calculations are carried out through post-Newtonian order within this theory of gravitation. A more explicit formula is given for a binary system. The scale-covariant theory of gravitation, which was proposed by Canutoet al. (1977), assumes that gravitational and atomic units are related by a scalar function of space-time. The cosmology based on this theory can explain very well the 3K radiation, as well as Hubble's redshift law. However, Falik (1979) derived a result from the scale-covariant cosmology which was in conflict with the observed helium abundance. Contrary to Falik, we show in this paper that if we choose a gauge functionβt α and α satisfies the condition ?1/3<α<1, the scale-covariant cosmology will be consistent with the observed cosmic-helium abundance. The value α=1/2 has recently been suggested by Canuto and Goldman (1982) on general grounds.  相似文献
