In this study a 2D basin model has been built along a transect crossing the Horn Graben in WNW-ESE direction. The aim of the investigation was to improve the understanding of the thermal evolution of the basin and its influence on possible petroleum systems. The 2D model of the subsurface is based on one seismic line and data from two exploration wells. Both wells TD’ed in Triassic sediments. The updoming of the Ringkøbing-Fyn High began during Late Carboniferous–Early Permian. At the end of the Permian the Horn Graben became active due to regional extension. The subsequent sedimentation history from Triassic to date is well recorded by well reports. A matter of debate has been whether or not significant amounts of Pre-Permian sediments exist in this area of the North Sea. Since organic material rich Paleozoic sediments serve as source rocks in widespread areas of North Germany and the southern North Sea it would be of great importance to know whether the same deposits exist in the Horn Graben. Nielsen et al. (Bull Geol Soc Denmark Copenhagen 45:1–10, 1998) introduced a model, which shows Paleozoic sediments covering the basement at a maximum depth of 6.5 km. Assuming, Paleozoic sediments are underlying the Permian salt deposits there should be an active petroleum system present. Mudstones are one of the least permeable rocks in most sedimentary sequences. Accordingly they can act as seals for fluid
flow leading to abnormal overpressures. Nevertheless, mudstone compaction and related permeability and porosity decrease are
not adequately described in current basin modelling software, because only mechanical compaction is taken into account. In
reality, however, clay minerals undergo severe chemical diagenesis which certainly influences petrophysical properties and
compaction. In this context a mathematical approach which has been originally developed in soil mechanics has been adapted
to basin modelling. The underlying mathematical equations are carefully explained in the text. In the basic equation the compression
coefficient is a function of void ratio and effective stress. Using these equations, overpressure can be predicted by using
petroleum systems modelling techniques. This is shown for a real 3D case study in the North Sea, in which strong overpressure
occurs. A compaction model for mudstones that depends strongly on the clay content of the individual stratigraphic units is
used for the calibration of porosities in the 3D case study. In addition, a chemical compaction model that reduces porosities
by using a kinetic reaction is used for the deeper part of the basin where mechanical compaction processes are less important.
The pressure generation process depends strongly on permeability and compressibility of the porous medium. Therefore, the
use of mudstone compaction and permeability models is sufficient to produce pore overpressures. In the case studied, abnormal
overpressures are generated during burial together with the petroleum generation process. The mechanical and chemical compaction
mechanisms ensure that the pressures are preserved in the deeper part of the basin. 相似文献

正断层生长和侧向连接是最基本的三维地质构造问题,深入剖析其三维时 空演化过程对理解沉积盆地内正断层系统的形成与演化至关重要。
南海扩张时间和影响范围一直是国内外地学界研究的热点问题之一。南海北部珠江口盆地陆丰凹陷发育大量正断层,并覆盖有高精度二维地震反射剖面,成为研究上述问题的理想地区之一。本研究以陆丰凹陷为研究对象,开展三维构造解析和建模研究,为正断层系统三维时 空演化过程提供一个实例。研究结果表明:陆丰凹陷主控断层F1的生长和连接过程主要分三个阶段:晚白垩世—早古新世,两条断层分别形成并以孤立断层模式分别向两侧生长;早古新世—早渐新世,断层发生侧向连接作用合并为F1断层,连接处发育侧断坡;晚渐新世—中中新世,F1断层继续向两侧生长。基于F1断层定量分析(生长指数和断距),发现F1断层活动强度表现为先增加然后突然降低,其转折时间对应于T60界面,~23 Ma,较好地对应了西北次海盆扩张终止时间,说明南海北部扩张已经影响到陆丰凹陷。结合前人对珠江口盆地构造变形和演化研究,初步认为南海北部扩张波及的范围已跨过陆丰凹陷向大陆方向继续延伸,其北部边界可能对应于华南大陆南缘的滨海断裂带。本研究可为正断层系统三维生长过程研究提供案例,同时为南海扩张过程研究提供基础数据支撑。 相似文献

Landslide susceptibility mapping using GIS and digital photogrammetric techniques: a case study from Ardesen (NE-Turkey) 总被引:3,自引:3,他引:3
Ardesen is a settlement area which has been significantly damaged by frequent landslides which are caused by severe rainfalls
and result in many casualties. In this study a landslide susceptibility map of Ardesen was prepared using the Analytical Hierarchy
Process (AHP) with the help of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Digital Photogrametry Techniques (DPT). A landslide
inventory, lithology–weathering, slope, aspect, land cover, shear strength, distance to the river, stream density and distance
to the road thematics data layers were used to create the map. These layer maps are produced using field, laboratory and office
studies, and by the use of GIS and DPT. The landslide inventory map is also required to determine the relationship between
these maps and landslides using DPT. In the study field in the Hemsindere Formation there are units that have different weathering
classes, and this significantly affects the shear strength of the soil. In this study, shear strength values are calculated
in great detail with field and laboratory studies and an additional layer is evaluated with the help of the stability studies
used to produce the landslide susceptibility map. Finally, an overlay analysis is carried out by evaluating the layers obtained
according to their weight, and the landslide susceptibility map is produced. The study area was classified into five classes
of relative landslide susceptibility, namely, very low, low, moderate, high, and very high. Based on this analysis, the area
and percentage distribution of landslide susceptibility degrees were calculated and it was found that 28% of the region is
under the threat of landslides. Furthermore, the landslide susceptibility map and the landslide inventory map were compared
to determine whether the models produced are compatible with the real situation resulting in compatibility rate of 84%. The
total numbers of dwellings in the study area were determined one by one using aerial photos and it was found that 30% of the
houses, with a total occupancy of approximately 2,300 people, have a high or very high risk of being affected by landslides. 相似文献

近年来,与深水沉积物重力流沉积紧密相关的湖相致密油气与深层油气勘探开发日益受到关注并逐渐成为研究热点;断陷湖盆陡坡带由于受"沟梁对应"的地貌特征影响且受控于边界断层,水下重力流沉积扇体发育,也因此成为湖相致密油气与深层油气勘探的重要目标。以东营凹陷胜坨地区沙四段上亚段(分为纯上次亚段和纯下次亚段)为研究对象,以岩芯,地震,测井,录井资料为基础,对陆相断陷湖盆陡坡带深水重力流沉积特征及沉积模式展开研究。研究结果表明:东营凹陷胜坨地区沙四段上亚段深水沉积体系主要发育砂质滑动-滑塌沉积,砂质碎屑流沉积,底流改造沉积,浊流沉积和深湖泥岩沉积五种类型,根据不同岩相组合特征划分出重力流沟道微相,砂质碎屑流舌状体微相,远端朵叶体微相三种微相类型;沙四段上亚段经历了从低位域到湖侵域再到高位域的转换,纯下次亚段在低位域时期经历了胜北断层幕式活动,是形成该时期深水重力流沉积在三级层序整体上呈退积发育,四级层序内部呈进积发育的主要原因,而纯上次亚段高位域时期相对稳定的构造条件使得该时期在三级层序内呈现退积到加积,四级层序内呈现稳定进积的特征;深水重力流搬运过程中由"流动分离作用"引起的"流体性质转换"可以较好地解释平面上重力流沉积类型随搬运距离由近及远的差异性分布以及"远端砂质碎屑流沉积"的形成。 相似文献
