Experimental and numerical investigations into the bearing capacity of circular footing on geogrid-reinforced compacted granular fill layer overlying on natural clay deposit have been conducted in this study. A total of 8 field tests were carried out using circular model rigid footing with a diameter of 0.30 m. 3D numerical analyses were performed to simulate soil behavior using finite element program Plaxis 3D Foundation. The results from the FE analysis are in very good agreement with the experimental observations. It is shown that the degree of improvement depends on thickness of granular fill layer and properties and configuration of geogrid layers. Parameters of the experimental and numerical analyses include depth of first reinforcement, vertical spacing of reinforcement layers. The results indicate that the use of geogrid-reinforced granular fill layers over natural clay soils has considerable effects on the bearing capacity and significantly reduces the lateral displacement and vertical displacement of the footing.  相似文献

The buckling behaviour of the 360 × 152 steel H-piles supporting the integral abutments of the Scotch Road Bridge, located in Trenton, New Jersey, has been studied for the cases of single pile and pile bent. Three-dimensional finite-element models for single pile and pile bent have been developed to study the behaviour of these fully embedded piles under axial and lateral loading. An iterative analysis based on extracting the eigenvalues and eigenvectors (mode shapes) that correspond to the pile(s) critical buckling loads has been adopted. The pile(s) and the surrounding sand were modelled using solid continuum elements in the finite-element model. Material non-linearity is accounted for in both the piles and the soil in the base state of the model. A parametric study has been utilized to determine the effect of the geometric and material properties of the pile and the surrounding sand on the predicted critical buckling loads of the piles. The effects of four parameters have been studied: soil stiffness, pile length, type of connection, and combining vertical and lateral loads. The results from the parametric study showed that the variation of the percentage change in the sand stiffness, pile length, and combining vertical and lateral loads with the critical buckling loads of the 360 × 152 H-piles is nonlinear. Furthermore, the parameters studied are more influential in affecting the critical buckling load of a single pile than a pile bent, with the exception of the ‘type of connection’ parameter.  相似文献

土工格栅路堤加筋效果的影响因素分析   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
土工格栅作为一种新型的土工合成材料,由于具有高强度、低延伸率等特点而被选作主要的路堤加筋材料,在路堤中适当位置加入土工格栅能有效地减少路堤的沉降和侧向变形。本文采用通用非线性有限元程序ABAQUS分析了加筋前后的路堤底部的竖向位移、堤址点垂线下地基深度的水平位移和地表的水平位移,计算中采用D rucker-Prager模型和C lay p las-tic ity模型模拟土体的非线性,土工格栅采用一维杆单元来模拟。通过对加筋层数、筋材模量、软基模量、填土高度和软土层厚度等影响加筋效果的因素进行对比分析,从计算结果分析可知,路堤加筋虽然对软土地基的竖向位移影响不大,但加筋能有效抑制侧向位移的发展,这样增大了路堤边坡的稳定性,分析结果与大多数实际工程的实测资料相吻合。  相似文献

Coupled theory of mixtures for clayey soils   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
In this work, elasto-plastic coupled equations are formulated in order to describe the time-dependent deformation of saturated cohesive soils (two-phase state). Formulation of these equations is based on the principle of virtual work and the theory of mixtures for inelastic porous media. The theory of mixtures for a linear elastic porous skeleton was first developed by Biot (Theory of elasticity and consolidation for a porous anisotropic solid, Journal of Applied Physics, 1955, 26, 188–185). An extension of Biot's theory into a nonlinear inelastic media was performed by Prevost (Mechanics of continuous porous media, International Journal of Engineering Science, 1980, 18, 787–800). The saturated soil is considered as a mixture of two deformable media, the solid grains and the water. Each medium is regarded as a continuum and follows its own motion. The flow of pore-water through the voids is assumed to follow Darcy's law. The coupled equations are developed for large deformations with finite strains in an updated Lagrangian reference frame. The coupled behavior of the two-phase materials (soil-water state) is implemented in a finite element program. A modified Cam-clay model is adopted and implemented in the finite element program in order to describe the plastic behavior of clayey soils. Penetration of a piezocone penetrometer in soil is numerically simulated and implemented into a finite element program. The piezocone penetrometer is assumed to be infinitely stiff. The continuous penetration of the cone is simulated by applying an incremental vertical movement of the cone tip boundary. Results of the finite element numerical simulation are compared with experimental measurements conducted at Louisiana State University using the calibration chamber. The numerical simulation is carried out for two cases. In the first case, the interface friction between the soil and the piezocone penetrometer is neglected. In the second case, interface friction is assumed between the soil and the piezocone. The results of the numerical simulations are compared with experimental laboratory measurements.  相似文献

为了适应电性参数在水平方向和垂直方向是连续变化的实际需要,这里采用矩形剖分,线性插值的有限元法研究了电导率分块线性变化的高频大地电磁高精度,快速正演模拟。首先给出了二维高频大地电磁测深的变分问题以及电导率分块线性变化时的有限元数值解法,编制了相应的有限元程序。利用该程序对层状模型进行了计算,并与解析解的结果做了对比分析,证明了程序的正确性和有效性,然后对典型电导率随深度线性变化的模型和典型地堑模型进行了正演模拟,结果表明能够有效地解决电导率在水平和垂直方向分块线性变化的高频大地电磁正演问题。  相似文献

This paper presents a finite element simulation of the behaviour of a vertical pile subjected to a cyclic lateral loading. First, the choice of a suitable constitutive model is discussed. The analytical solution of the model equations for a monotonic triaxial compression is given, and the model is compared with monotonic and cyclic triaxial tests on dry Fontainebleau sand. Simulations of tests carried out on a model pile with the geotechnical centrifuge of the French Public Works Research Laboratory (LCPC) were then performed with the model parameters derived from the triaxial tests. Degradation model for one-way cyclic lateral load on piles in soft clay   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The analysis of laterally loaded piles in soft clay is carried out idealising the pile as beam elements and the soil by nonlinear inelastic spring elements modeled with elasto-plastic sub-elements. The nonlinear hyperbolic model for static load condition is developed based on the undrained shear strength and modulus of subgrade reaction. An iterative procedure is adopted to perform a nonlinear finite element analysis and the effect of static lateral load on deflection is studied. Based on the lateral deflection at the end of first cycle (static load), the degradation factor is assumed and the p-y curve is modified. The cyclic load analysis is carried out using the static analysis program idealising the soil by modified p-y curve, which considers the effect of number of cycles and magnitude of cyclic lateral load. The results of the proposed analytical model compare well with the published experimental results, on piles subjected to one-way cyclic loading for different magnitude of cyclic lateral load and number of cycles.  相似文献

建立了横-竖立体加筋(H-V筋)地基的有限元模型,通过分析地基中的竖向应力分布、水平向位移分布以及筋-土界面相互作用,发现横-竖立体加筋地基中的竖向应力在筋材下方出现扩散和重分布,并逐渐向土体下部传递,使得土体中整体的应力分布更加均匀;同时,横-竖筋材中的竖筋类似于一个侧壁,其提供的垂直侧向力约束了介于竖筋间的土体,限制了土体的侧向水平位移,使得地基中筋材上部土体的侧向水平位移变小。基于有限元模拟对横-竖立体加筋地基加固机制的认识,将横-竖立体筋视为作用在地基上的一维弹性地基梁,通过弹性地基梁理论,根据弗拉曼解推导求解了横-竖立体加筋地基中任意一点竖向附加应力的计算表达式。将模型计算结果与有限元模拟所得结果进行对比发现两者吻合良好。  相似文献

分析认为,基坑支护外侧的土体有可能产生侧向卸载和加载两种应力路径,因此进行了侧向卸载、加载的应力路径试验,并根据邓肯-张模型的思路和试验结果,推导了侧向卸载、加载的切线弹性模量公式。通过实例计算发现,用推导的切线弹性模量公式,可以得到很好的计算结果,这说明考虑侧向卸载、加载的应力路径的模量公式能够更好地模拟基坑问题。  相似文献

卸载状态下冻土三轴蠕变试验结果表明,冻土具有明显的剪胀性,且体积应变不能忽略。为了全面反映冻土在卸载状态下的蠕变变形规律,以简单的黏弹塑模型为基本流变元件,提出了冻土服从椭圆-DP双屈服面流变本构力学模型。通过有限元程序的二次开发,将该模型嵌入到ADINA有限元程序中。对冻土三轴蠕变试验过程进行了数值模拟表明,椭圆-DP型双屈服面本构力学模型能够较好地反映冻土的剪胀性和体积应变等变形性质,数值模拟和试验结果吻合良好,可为冻土工程数值计算提供参考。  相似文献

将地基视为多层各向同性弹性体,对Euler-Bernoulli梁进行有限单元离散分析,对地基-梁接触面采用边界积分法求解,根据地基-梁接触面的竖向位移协调和光滑接触条件,应用有限元与边界元耦合的方法推导出各向同性成层弹性地基上的Euler-Bernoulli梁的半数值半解析解。基于文中理论,编制了相应的程序,通过与现有文献对比,验证了文中理论的正确性,对比分析了分层地基与等效均匀地基两种模型上的弹性地基梁。研究结果表明,分层地基与等效均匀地基两种模型上弹性地基梁性状差异较大,实际弹性地基梁计算中应采用分层地基模型。  相似文献

砂土液化导致的地基侧向大变形是地震中许多重要的工程设施和建筑物破坏的主要原因之一。简要介绍了可进行液化大变形分析的散粒体材料本构模型--应变空间多机构CG模型,基于FLIP ROSE程序平台,建立了预测和研究倾斜地基砂土液化导致侧向大变形的二维有限元数值分析方法。采用该模型对相同工况的土工动态离心模型试验进行了模拟,通过对比超孔隙水压力、剪切波水平加速度以及地基侧向位移发现,数值预测与试验结果吻合良好,从而验证了该有限元数值分析模型的可靠性。最后利用该数值分析模型预测了倾斜率不同的地基受到相同剪切波作用时,倾斜地基不同深度产生的侧向位移。预测结果显示,随着地基深度的减小,倾斜率对于地震液化导致倾斜地基侧向大变形的影响越来越显著。  相似文献

A multiphase model and corresponding computational time‐saving finite element code is proposed in this paper for predicting the settlements experienced by a piled raft foundation when subject to the combined action of vertical and lateral loadings. This model, which is formulated in the framework of an elastoplastic behaviour for the soil and the reinforcing piles as well, explicitly accounts for the shear and flexural behaviour of the latter. Starting from a simple analytical example where all the concepts attached to this model are clearly illustrated, the main stages leading to its finite element implementation are then presented. The numerical tool thus elaborated, is applied to the simulation of a pile‐reinforced strip foundation submitted to a horizontally applied seismic load in addition to a permanent vertical load. One of the key results of such a simulation in terms of design recommendation, lies in the conclusion that, while the shear and flexural contributions of the reinforcement play quite a negligible role in the case of a vertical load (as compared with their axial resistance), they remain absolutely essential for withstanding the seismic lateral loading. 导管架平台桩基础的控制荷载主要为风荷载、波浪荷载、地震荷载等水平荷载,为研究水平荷载下导管架平台桩基础的承载特性,采用非线性有限元分析方法对水平荷载下桩-土之间的相互作用进行研究,提出了有效模拟桩基水平承载特性的有限元模型,分析了模型桩的刚度、直径、土质参数中水平土压力系数、剪胀角对桩基承载特性的影响及水平荷载下群桩承载特性,并将有限元计算结果与API规范及模型试验结果进行对比。研究结果表明,非线性有限元分析方法分析水平荷载下桩-土相互作用是可行的,计算结果可为导管架平台的桩基设计提供参考。  相似文献

针对地表超载导致的隧道竖向土压力问题,参照室内模型试验的隧道结构变形与土压力实测结果,建立了有限元模型。在地表超载作用下,分析了隧道穿越土层与隧道上覆土层的压缩性能对隧道周围土压力与结构变形的影响。结果表明:隧道穿越土层的压缩模量越小,地表超载作用导致的隧道竖向土压力越大,且对应的隧道水平土压力越小,隧道结构越容易发生横椭圆变形;隧道上覆土层的压缩模量越小,地表超载作用导致的竖向土压力越小,隧道结构发生的变形也越小;在软土地区地表堆土(超载)导致的隧道竖向土压力要大于按土柱理论计算所得的隧道竖向土压力。研究结果可为软土地区地铁盾构隧道设计与运营期管控提供参考依据。  相似文献

在饱和土耦合作用与土和结构相互作用理论基础上,以地铁车站为例,用有限元法研究地下结构在地震液化作用下的响应。所采用的软件为动力两相体非线性有限元软件Dyna-Swandyne-II,该软件可以应用先进的Pastor-Zienkiewicz III广义塑性模型模拟可液化土的动力特性,应用u-p形式的Biot方程,在有限元分析中充分考虑孔隙水与土之间的耦合,同时考虑地下结构与饱和土在动力作用下的非线性相互作用。分析了地铁车站的动力响应,包括地铁内力、加速度以及地铁位移。研究结果表明,地铁结构在地震液化作用下会产生较大的上浮,从而对结构造成比较严重的破坏;地铁结构在地震作用下的最大内力位于结构的交接处。因此,结构交接处的配筋应该格外小心。  相似文献

初始地应力是大型地下洞室群设计与施工所要考虑的重要因素之一。结合大岗山水电站工程地质条件以及实测地应力资料,分析了地下厂房区初始地应力的影响因素,建立了基于侧压力系数的三维地应力反演模型,提出Nelder-Mead法与有限元联合反演法,将有限元程序作为一个单独模块嵌入到Nelder-Mead算法程序中,对建立的地质概化模型进行计算,以实测点地应力值与计算应力值建立精确罚函数误差模型,进行优化逼近分析。通过实测点的计算应力值与现场实测值的比较,从而获得地下厂房区初始地应力场较为合理的分布规律,为水电站开挖模拟及长期稳定性分析提供了合理的初始条件。  相似文献

Piles and diaphragm wall-supported berthing structure on marine soils are loaded laterally from horizontal soil movements generated by dredging. The literature on the adequacy of the finite element method modeling of berthing structure to analyze their behavior during dredging is limited. This paper describes a finite element approach for analyzing the lateral response of pile and diaphragm wall during dredging. Piles are represented by equivalent sheet-pile walls and a plane strain analysis using the finite element method is performed. Results from the finite element method are compared with full-scale field test data. Full-scale field test was conducted on a bearing structure to measure the lateral deflection on pile and diaphragm wall for their full length using inclinometer during dredging in sequence. The finite element method results are in good agreement with full-scale field results. Conclusions are drawn regarding application of the analytical method to study the effect of dredging on piles and diaphragm wall-supported berthing structures.  相似文献

An extensive program was conducted to develop and validate computer models for the deformation of structures in jointed rock. Both discrete element and finite element models were investigated. The program comprised a sequence of seven calculational and experimental studies. In the final step, model predictions were compared with experimental data from a well-instrumented jointed-rock precision test. The results show that the sophisticated models developed were able to predict some elements of structural deformation in jointed rock, but that it is difficult to make high-confidence predictions of all aspects of structural deformation with these models.
