As the globally largest area covered by high altitudinal permafrost, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau may contribute substantially to atmospheric CH4 budget when global warming. Preliminary observations on CH4 emission at Qingshuihe from November 5 to 14, 1995 show that alpine grassland may be a small source for atmospheric CH4 during early winter. The emission rates of CH4 from moist grassland surface varied from-16. 1 to 23. 9 μg. m-2h-1, with an average of 1. 82 μg. m-2h-1. Emission rates of CH4 from water surface of Qingshuihe River were from -21. 0 to 37. 1 μg. m-2h-1, with an average of 1. 56 μg. m-2h-1. The emission rates of CH at 30 to 200 cm in depth ranged from-69. 0 to 36. 0 μg. m-2h-1, with the average rate at these depths varying from -2. 15 to 2. 04 μg' m-2h-1. The mean emission rates of CH4 in the active layer and permafrost indicate the lower part of active layer tends to release CH4, CH4 is absorbed at low rates in the middle section and in the vicinity of permafrost table, and net fluxes of CH4 is emitted from the soils in the upper part. During the observation periods, the methane concentrations in static chambers and emission rates of grassland and water surface displayed noticeable diurnal variations. The water/ice content may play important role in the spatial variations of methane emission rates. The emission rates of methane is weakly correlated with the ground temperatures at sampling depths and air temperatures. The observed emission rates of methane from the comparatively dry and sandy grassland soils are quite low compared with that observed in the permafrost regions in the high latitudes.  相似文献

In an annual cycle from March 2005 to February 2006, benthic nutrient fluxes were measured monthly in the Dongtan intertidal flat within the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Estuary. Except for NH4^+, there always showed high fluxes from overlying water into sediment for other four nutrients. Sediments in the high and middle marshes, covered with halophyte and consisting of macrofauna, demonstrated more capabilities of assimilating nutrients from overlying water than the low marsh. Sampling seasons and nutrient concentrations in the overlying water could both exert significant effects on these fluxes. Additionally, according to the model provided by previous study, denitrification rates, that utilizing NO3- transported from overlying water (Dw) in Dongtan sediments, were estimated to be from -16 to 193 μmol·h^-1·m^-2 with an average value of 63 μmol·h^-1·m^-2 (n=18). These estimated values are still underestimates of the in-situ rates owing to the lack of consideration of DN, i.e., denitrification supported by the local NO3^- production via nitrification.  相似文献

The active layer is the top layer of permafrost soils that thaws during the summer season due to increased ambient temperatures and solar radiation inputs. This layer is important because almost all biological activity takes place there luring the summer. The depth of active layer thaw is influenced by climatic conditions. Vegetation has also been found to have a strong impact on active layer thaw, because it can intercept incoming radiation, thereby insulating the soil from ambient conditions. In order to look at the role of vegetation and climate on active layer thaw, we measured thaw depth and the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI; a proxy for aboveground plant biomass) along a latitudinal temperature gradient in arctic Alaska and Canada. At each site several measurements of thaw and NDVI were taken in areas with high amounts of vegetation and areas with little to no vegetation. Results show that the warmest regions, which had the greatest levels of NDVI, had relatively shallow thaw depths, and the coldest regions, which had the lowest levels of NDVI, also had relatively shallow thaw depths. The intermediate regions, which had moderate levels of NDVI and air temperature, had the greatest depth of thaw. These results indicate that temperature and vegetation interact to control the depth of the active layer across a range of arctic ecosystems. By developing a relationship to explain thaw depth through NDVI and temperature or latitude, the possibility exists to extrapolate thaw depth over large scales via remote sensing applications.  相似文献

The present study focused on the estimation of submarine groundwater discharge(SGD)and the effects of nutrient fluxes due to the SGD process.The parameters of SGD such as magnitude,character,and nutrient flux in Punnakayal region of South East coast of India were evaluated using multiple tracers of groundwater inputs in 2019.It was found that the elevated values for the tracers in the study area,displayed a gradational change in the values as move from estuarine part to the offshore.Simultaneous occurrence of fresh and saline SGD is observed on the study sites.Also,indicated that the SGD fluxes ranged from 0.04 to 0.12 m^3 m^-2d^-1 at the estuary and0.03-0.15 m^3 m^-2d^-1at the groundwater site.A substantially increased value for 222 Rn activities is distinguished in the estuary to values over 312 dpm L^-1.Nutrient embellishments were generally greatest at locations with substantial meteoric elements in groundwater;however,the recirculation of saltwater through the geological formation could provide a way of transferring terrestrially-derived nutrients to the coastal zone at many places.  相似文献

Guizhou is located in the Circum-Pacific Global Mercuriferous Belt, and mercury concentrations in soil in this area are enriched. In-situ total gaseous mercury (TGM) exchange fluxes between air and soil surface were intensively measured at four sampling sites in Guiyang from 21 May to 16 June, 2003, and five sites in the Lanmuchang mercury mining area in December 2002 and May 2003, respectively. The in-situ Hg flux measurement was conducted with a dynamic flux chamber (DFC) of quartz. Overall, net emissions were obtained from all sampling sites. Soil mercury concentration and solar radiation have been proved to be the two most important parameters to control mercury emissions from soil. Meanwhile, rain events can enhance mercury emission rate significantly.  相似文献

Settling particles were collected from six stations at the Okinawa Trough and the East China Sea continental margin. Activities of U, Th, Pu isotopes and ^210Pb were determined for the particles to elucidate their transport processes. Surface sediment samples were also analyzed for their isotopes. There was a tendency for ^210Pb activities to increase almost linearly with depth from 72 m on the continental shelf edge to 1019 m in the Okinawa Trough. Increasing ^210Pb activities in settling particles with depth on the continental margin may be attributable to enhanced ^210Pb scavenging by particles and removal near the front. There also was a clear tendency for total mass fluxes and the radionuclide fluxes to increase with depth, with an especially large increase near the bottom. The ratio of the observed ^210Pb flux to the ^210Pb deficiency flux in the near-bottom traps ranged between 8.9 and 46. These high values show a strong ^210Pb excess which would be attributable to large advective import to the near-bottom and resuspended particles that have settled through the water column but have not been incorporated into the sediments. High variability of radionuclide fluxes occurred in very short time periods. Activities of ^238U, ^232Th, ^230Th, ^228Th, ^210Pb and ^239Pu+^240Pu in settling particles were significantly higher than those in the underlying surface sediments.  相似文献

This paper presents spatial variation of seismic hazard at the surface level for India,covering 6-38°N and 68-98°E.The most recent knowledge on seismic activity in the region has been used to evaluate the hazard incorporating uncertainties associated with the seismicity parameters using different modeling methodologies.Three types of seismic source models,viz.linear sources,gridded seismicity model and areal sources,were considered to model the seismic sources and different sets of ground motion prediction equations were used for different tectonic provinces to characterize the attenuation properties.The hazard estimation at bedrock level has been carried out using probabilistic approach and the results obtained from various methodologies were combined in a logic tree framework.The seismic site characterization of India was done using topographic slope map derived from Digital Elevation Model data.This paper presents estimation of the hazard at surface level,using appropriate site amplification factors corresponding to various site classes based on V_(S30) values derived from the topographic gradient.Spatial variation of surface level peak horizontal acceleration(PHA) for return periods of 475 years and 2475 years are presented as contour maps.  相似文献

Using the Guancun River, an underground stream-fed river, in Rong’an County of Guangxi, China as a case study, the daily biochemical cycle was examined in this paper based on the data collected a weeklong via high resolution data logger monitoring and high-frequency sampling. Furthermore, the loss of inorganic carbon along its flow path was estimated. Results show that chemical components of the groundwater input are quite stable, showing little change extent; while all of the chemical parameters from two downstream monitoring stations show diel variation over the monitoring period, suggesting that plant activity in the river has a strong influence on water chemistry of the river. The comparison of the input fluxes from the groundwater with the output fluxes of HCO3? estimated at the downstream monitoring station during the high-frequency sampling period shows a strong decrease of HCO3?, indicating that the river is losing inorganic carbon along its flow path. The loss is estimated to be about 1,152 mmol/day/m of HCO3? which represent about 94.9 kg/day of inorganic carbon along the 1,350 m section of the Guancun River. It means that HCO3? entering the river from karst underground stream was either consumed by plants or trapped in the authigenic calcite and thus constitutes a natural sink of carbon for the Guancun karst system.  相似文献

Carbon and noble gas isotope analyses are reported for bubbling gas samples from the Tengchong volcanic geothermal area near the Indo-Eurasian suture zone. All samples contain a resolvable component of mantle-derived 3He. Occurrence of mantle-derived 3He coincides with surface volcanism. However, 3He occurs over a larger geographic areathan do surface volcanics. δ13C values for CO2 and CH4 vary from -33.4‰ to 1.6 ‰ and from -52.8‰ to -2.8‰, respectively. He and C isotope systematics indicate that CO2 and CH4 in the CO2-rich gases originated predominantly from magmatic component mixed with crustal CO2 produced from carbonate. However, breakdown of organic matter and near-surface processes accounts for the CH4 and CO2 in N2-rich gases. 3He/4He ratio distribution pattern suggests that mantle-derived He and heat sources of high-temperature system in central Tengchong originate from a hidden magma reservoir at subsurface. Lago Verde is a fresh water maar found in the San Martin volcano, at the Sierra of Los Tuxtlas, Mexico, currently the northernmost remnant of the tropical rain forest in America. A sediment core from Lago Verde was analyzed for ^210Pb and ^137Cs in order to assess the evolution of the accretion rates in the lake and to reconstruct the historical fluxes of heavy metals (Ag, Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg and Zn) to the site during the last -140 years. C/N ^13C were used to evaluate the provenance of the organic atomic ratios and matter accumulated in the sediments. Modem sediments from Lago Verde were found enriched in Pb (26-fold natural concentration level, NCL's) and moderately enriched in Cd〉Cu〉Zn and Hg (6, 5, 4 and 4 fold corresponding NCL's). The excess fluxes of Cu, Hg, Pb and Zn have importantly increased during the last 60 years, with peak ratios of total modem to preindustrial fluxes (FR) of 11, 11, 19 and 49, respectively. The lake occupies a relatively pristine, non-industrialized basin, surrounded mostly by pasture lands and sugar cane fields; therefore the increased metal fluxes recorded in the sediment core are most likely related to the enhanced rate of erosion within the watershed, promoted by changes in land use and the irrational deforestation of the tropical rain forest, which have occurred during the past.  相似文献

采用静态箱-气象色谱法对控制灌溉稻田CH4和N2O排放进行了观测,研究控制灌溉模式对稻田CH4和N2O排放的影响,并对其温室效应进行了评估。结果表明,控制灌溉稻田CH4排放通量明显低于淹水灌溉稻田,且主要集中在分蘖前期和中期,全生育期CH4排放量比淹水灌溉稻田减少73.2%~85.0%。控制灌溉稻田N2O排放通量在水稻全生育期大部分时间都要大于淹水灌溉稻田,稻季N2O排放量分别为106.65 mg/m2和96.40 mg/m2,控灌稻田较淹灌稻田增加了10.6%。控制灌溉稻田稻季排放CH4和N2O的全球增温潜势(GWPs)为726 kg/hm2,较淹水灌溉稻田减少了59.1%。控制灌溉模式能显著降低CH4和N2O综合排放的全球增温潜势。  相似文献

自工业革命以来全球大气CH4含量呈快速的增长趋势, 但达索普冰芯记录所显示的北半球中低纬度地区大气CH4增长的启动时间要晚于极地冰芯记录近100 a. 由于受北半球人类活动CH4排放、CH4在大气中的寿命及大气中CH4的传输等过程的影响, 最近150 a以来, 中低纬度大气CH4与南极大气CH4含量在不同的时段表现出不同的净积累量和增长速率, 且20世纪两次世界大战期间达索普冰芯记录明确显示出人类活动排放的减缓使大气CH4呈负增长. 对比研究认为, 到20世纪中叶人类活动的甲烷排放已达到极高值, 中低纬度大气中CH4增长率及年积累逐步趋于平稳且略有降低. 可以认定, 工业革命以来中低纬度地区大气CH4与南极大气CH4含量的变化在不同的时段在受控于人类活动影响的同时, CH4在大气中的行为和传输过程以及东亚中低纬度季风气候的影响决定了两地之间大气CH4含量变化存在显著的差异.  相似文献

在杭州地区利用静态箱法对稻田CH_4排放进行连续观测,结果证明CH_4排放率有较大的日变化和季节变化,CH_4排放率的日变化较复杂,除了和温度变化一致的峰型外,还有夜间峰、双峰型、多峰等。CH_4排放率的季节波动较大,在分蘖期和长穗前期分别有一较大峰值,早稻和晚稻的变化规律略有不同。稻田CH_4排放规律可用稻田中有机物含量的变化和空气、土壤温度的变化等作一定性解释。 早稻和晚稻的CH_4排放总量有较大的差别,平均来看,早稻的排放量为0.46g·m~(-2)·d~(-1),晚稻为0.80g·m~(-2)·d~(-1)。稻田CH_4排放也有较大的年际变化,1988年全年CH_4排放量为0.23g·m~(-2)·d~(-1),1989年为0.95g·m~(-2)·d~(-1),施肥对CH_4排放有一定的影响,施有机肥的稻田CH_4排放量最高,施化肥的稻田次之,不施肥的稻田CH_4排放量最低。  相似文献

通过对稻田CH_4排放施肥效应的研究指出:化肥的施用能够降低CH_4的排放,但是有机物的数量及质量是影响稻田CH_4排放的主要因素,因此稻田CH_4排放的控制应该主要从有机肥的科学施用入手;比起常规的有机肥,沼渣肥这种已经发酵的“陈”有机肥能够较大程度地降低CH_4排放。推出沼渣肥和化肥混施的方案,在不降低水稻产量的同时降低CH_4排放,并建议新鲜有机肥(紫云英、稻草、猪粪等)先进沼气池产生沼气并利用,沼渣在施入土壤前先充分干燥。 水管理实验发现,当土壤湿润度低到一定程度时(26%<湿度<31%),CH_4排放率突然减少,CH_4产生率也明显降低,而且主要的产CH_4区域向土壤深处移动。重新灌水后在较长的一段时间内CH_4排放率仍不能恢复。一个三日间隔灌溉法因为灌溉的时间间隔太短,没有起到降低排放的作用。同时考虑水稻产量及方案实用性,提出用适当时间表的间歇灌溉来降低CH_4排放。如果能控制好土壤湿润度的临界值,我国常用的晒田技术会起到降低CH_4排放的效果。 为更好地降低CH_4排放,并努力增加水稻产量,设想了一种水肥结合的控制措施,即把沼渣肥和化肥混施方案与最简单的间歇灌溉方案——晒田共同使用、结果使晚稻CH_4排放降低了一倍多。水稻作为传输CH_4的主要路径,某些水稻品种也可能对降低稻田CH_4排  相似文献

郭德冰芯上部95m的12个样品记录了近800a来冰内气泡包裹气体中甲烷的浓度变化,结果表明,最近200a来该冰芯记录的甲烷浓度急剧上升,与南极及格陵兰的甲烷记录反映的趋势相一致,但与两极同时代样品相比,其浓度总体上要高出0.5×10^-6~0.6×10^-6mol/mol在这之前,3者基本保持一致,在0.7×10^-6~0.8×10^-6mol/mol之间波动。  相似文献

利用卫星高光谱数据分析了张家口—渤海(张渤)地震带CO和CH4总量的时、空变化特征及其影响因素。时间上,该地区CO总量存在明显的周期性季节变化,但是CH4总量的周期性季节变化不明显。空间上,研究区南部CO和CH4总量高于北部地区;由西向东气体总量增大,在平原和山区交界的地方变化明显。CO和CH4总量背景趋势时间上受气候和气象变化影响,空间上主要受控于区域地形地貌、地质背景、构造和地震活动及地壳厚度等。研究结果不仅为研究区地震地球化学测量提供了新的科学资料,而且对地震异常判识、断裂带分段活动性研究具有重要意义。  相似文献

预测煤层气井的压裂难易程度是制定煤层气井压裂方案的关键问题。目前,国内外还没有形成完善的压裂预测方法。以韩城区块煤层气井的压裂为例,通过测井资料和现场压裂数据,利用SPSS统计分析软件,运用多元逐步回归分析方法进行拟合,得到了煤层气井压裂难易程度预测公式。经过检验,发现该公式预测效果较好,具有一定的参考价值。  相似文献

通过对塔里木盆地满加尔凹陷低成熟煤岩在开放在线程序升温体系的热模拟实验,获得煤岩在不同温度点的热分解产物CH4、CO和N2,并对模拟后残留产物进行了镜质体反射率测试,建立了镜质体反射率与对应受热温度之间的关系。煤岩镜质体反射率与热温度之间的二阶关系表达为:Ro=0.0014×T+0.109,r=0.9931(Ro<0.6%);Ro=0.0067×T-1.5855,r=0.9996(Ro>0.6%)。通过上述方程建立CH4/N2值与煤岩镜质体反射率之间的对应关系,并利用CH4/N2值对塔里木盆地库车坳陷天然气热成熟度进行了预测。预测结果与实际地质分析结果相吻合,说明CH4/N2值可以作为塔里木盆地煤成气热成熟度预测指标应用于油气勘探中。  相似文献

The municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills are the significant sources of atmospheric contamination, due to biogas production by anaerobic decomposition of organic matter via bacterial activity. Biogas released from landfills is commonly composed of a mixture of methane (55%-60%) and carbon dioxide (40%-45%), with minor contents of N2, H2, CO and traces of toxic and bad smelling inorganic and organic compounds. Particular attention has to be paid to CH4 and CO2 because of their liability for the greenhouse effect. Presently, the U.S. methane emission from landfills is considered to be about 25% of the total methane released to the atmosphere. Accordingly, field measurements should be planned in order to verify and, eventually, optimize the amount of gases released from waste disposals to the atmosphere. Simultaneous measurements of methane and carbon dioxide fluxes are an effective tool to better evaluate: (1) the amount of biogas released, (2) the real efficiency of the impervious cover, and (3) the presence of anomalous degassing zones or of newly formed fractures. Static closed-chamber methods for CH4 and CO2 flux measurements have been developed and used in both natural and artificial systems. Furthermore, portable gas-chromatographers equipped with flame ionization detector (FID) and accumulation chamber connected to infrared detectors (IR) .have been utilized for measuring CH4 and CO2 fluxes, respectively. This paper deals with a detailed investigation that combines (1) CH4 and CO2 flux measurements from solid waste disposal and surrounding areas (determined by an accumulation chamber equipped with two IR detectors, respectively), (2) chemical composition of soil and piezometer gases (collected in pre-evacuated glass tubes and analyzed by gas-chromatography), and (3) CO2 linear concentration measurements on optical air paths with IR laser devices. This multi-methodological approach was successfully applied to an active MSW in Tuscany (Central Italy). The analytical results have shown that the CO2/CH4 ratios of the piezometer gases have large variations, likely related to the different stage of decomposition processes affecting the heterogeneous solid material of the waste landfill. Significant contents of light hydrocarbons and BTX were also detected.  相似文献

以2010年6月~2011年5月三峡澎溪河回水区CO2与CH4通量监测数据为基础,参考澎溪河高阳平湖水域全年4次的24 h昼夜连续跟踪观测结果,对每月各采样点的日通量值进行估算。提出了水下地形划分法和环境因素控制法,将各采样点日通量数据外延至整个回水区水域,并估算了澎溪河回水区水域CO2与CH4年总通量值。研究期间,澎溪河回水区全年各采样点CO2通量均值为(3.05±0.46)mmol/(m2·h);CH4为(0.050 1±0.009 6)mmol/(m2·h)。以水下地形法为基础,该水域全年CO2和CH4总通量分别为40 060.5 t和540.9 t;以环境因素控制法为基础,全年CO2与CH4总通量分别为39 073.0 t和467.2 t。以环境要素控制法为参考,该水域CO2全年平均释放强度为43.26 mmol/(m2·d),在全球水库数据序列中处于中等略偏高水平,CH4全年平均释放强度为1.42 mmol/(m2·d),在全球水库序列中处于中等水平。  相似文献
