利用我国第九次南极考察队获得的德雷克海峡地区水温资料,并结合国外锚碇浮标和测流资料,分析和研究了德雷克海峡绕极流和锋面的时间变化和空间变化.研究表明,德雷克海峡绕极流的流速共有3个强流区,就德雷克海峡上层海流的空间变化而言,以亚南极锋附近的海流最强,流向和流速也最稳定少变.德雷克海峡深层海流的空间分布特点与上层海流的空间分布特点不同,深层流速明显减弱,且稳定性差.德雷克海峡绕极流有着明显的时间变化,但是这种时间变化因地而异.极锋附近在冬春季节是稳定的深层北向流,它与南半球高纬度的冬、春季节的Ventilation过程有着密切的关系,德雷克海峡上层水温的空间分布具有明显的锋面分布特征.水温在德雷克海峡的高纬度区更加稳定少变,而极锋附近深层海水温度随时间的变化最大.  相似文献

利用第15,16,21,25,26和27次南极考察在普里兹湾及邻近海域所获取的CTD观测数据,对该海域主要水团、典型层面水文要素平面分布等进行了对比分析。研究表明:1)普里兹湾及邻近海域水团主要包括南极表层水、普里兹湾陆架水、绕极深层水和南极底层水。夏季表层水温盐变化显著,没有固定的核心值;绕极深层暖水的分布范围和温盐特征相对比较稳定;南极底层水在各航次中均有出现。2)在陆架水中存在位温低于海面冰点的冰架水和温度低于现场温度的过冷水。冰架水主要分布在冰架前缘和70°30′E断面上,沿70°30′E断面最北可扩展至陆坡附近;过冷水主要分布在冰架前缘西部。3)高盐陆架水在普里兹湾存在较少,主要分布在埃默里冰架前缘和73°E断面67°30′~68°45′S范围内,其中S34.62的高盐陆架水均位于73°E断面附近,并沿73°E断面向北扩展至67°30′S附近,盐度最大值为34.64。4)夏季表层温盐分布时空变化特征显著。部分航次埃默里冰架前缘存在一个很强的纬向温度锋面,最高温度达到3.55°C。5)绕极深层水在第15航次涌升至100m以浅,涌升最明显的海域在63°00′~64°00′S附近,73°E断面涌升最强。  相似文献

利用2004年5月"实验3"号船在南海南部陆架区观测站(109°40′E,06°05′N)连续48h观测得到的温度、溶解氧浓度、叶绿素浓度数据,分析了观测点的叶绿素和溶解氧的垂向分布、日变化特征及其同水温和盐度等物理环境要素的相关关系。结果表明,叶绿素和溶解氧垂向分布与温度有着显著的负相关关系,与盐度有着显著的正相关关系,溶解氧和叶绿素的日变化与温度和盐度的相关性则不显著,跃层深度和海流等对溶解氧的日变化有一定的影响作用。  相似文献

利用中国第15次南极科学考察科学考察队的CTD全深度观测资料(1998年11月至1999年2月),分析并讨论了普里兹湾以北的南大洋海域内,绕极深层水(CDW)和南极底层水(AABW)的物理特性及其空间分布.同时还与历史上其他学者的发现进行了比较.指出了在研究海域内,CDW在100~2000m之间从北向南扩展,其高温核(t>1.2℃)和高盐核(S>34.7)在75°E断面上最为深厚,向南扩展得最远;而AABW则在2500m以深由陆坡底部向北扩展,σθ>27.875的高密度水体在70°E断面上最为深厚,向北扩展得最远.此外还通过实测的CTD资料证实了CDW和AABW的经向环流特征,以及它们与迪肯流环(Deaconcell)、亚极地流环和深层流环的一致性.  相似文献

全球海洋环流复杂,其产生的水体和热盐输运决定了各大洋物质和能量的再分配,并且对海气相互作用以及全球气候变化产生重要影响。本研究基于GLORYS12、GLORYS2V4、C-GLORS05、FOAM和ORAS5五种再分析资料对全球12个关键截面处的海洋水体和热盐输运进行了估算。平均计算结果显示,纬向积分的海洋经向盐量输运与经向体积输运的变化基本一致,这主要是由于海水盐度垂向变化较小,水体盐量输运与体积输运大小成比例。全球海洋在35°S附近呈现经向体积输运极值,其南向输运量接近10 Sv。由于海洋温度随深度增加迅速减小,且中下层较为稳定,因此海洋经向热量输运与上层海洋环流相关性更高。全球海洋在南北半球均呈现向极的经向热量输运,北半球中低纬度输运量在1.5~2.0PW,南半球中低纬度输运量在1.0 PW左右。N向热量输运横跨整个大西洋,南大西洋中低纬度输运量在0.3~1.0 PW,北大西洋中低纬度输运量在1.0~1.3 PW。与大洋经向输运相比,南大洋由于强劲的南极绕极流的E向流动,其纬向水体和热盐输运显著。计算结果显示,通过南大洋20°E、146°E截面以及德雷克海峡分别约有144.50、...  相似文献

根据 2 0 0 2 ,2 0 0 0和 1999年中国南极考察和 1992年澳大利亚南极考察资料 ,分析了普里兹湾 73°E断面水团与地转流的结构及其多年变化 :(1)该断面上水团主要有南极表层水、绕极深层水、南极底层水和陆架水 ;(2 )南极表层水 1999,2 0 0 0年向北扩展最强 ,2 0 0 2年向北扩展最弱 ,绕极深层水 2 0 0 2年向南扩展也较强 ,1999和 1992年绕极深层水向南扩展较弱 ,南极底层水 ,位温在 - 0 .3~- 0 .4℃ ,盐度在 34.6 6左右 ,主要是本地形成 ,而 1992年高盐底层水可能来源于其他原因 ;(3)该海域深层水呈显著的升温 ,增暖率约为 0 .0 0 7~ 0 .0 0 8℃ /a;(4 )南极陆坡锋的强度和位置 ,与南极表层水的北向扩展和绕极深层水的变化一致 ;(5 ) 6 2°S~ 6 6°S是绕极流的南缘 ,东向流深度可达 2 0 0 0 m,最大流速中心在 6 4.5°S附近 ,2 0 0 0年北移至 6 3.5°S附近 ,最大流速为 3~ 5 cm/s;陆架上 6 8°S附近主要为流速 1cm /s左右的西向流。  相似文献

利用中国第34次南极考察于2018年1–2月在南极半岛周边海域获得的温盐、海流现场观测数据,分析了调查区域主要水团及水交换特征。结果表明,观测区域内主要存在南极表层水、绕极深层水、暖深层水、南极底层水、布兰斯菲尔德海峡底层水。威德尔海的暖深层水、威德尔海深层水通过南奥克尼海台东侧的奥克尼通道、布鲁斯通道和南奥克尼海台西侧的埃斯佩里兹通道进入斯科舍海,其中奥克尼通道的深层海流最强,流速最大可达0.25 m/s,密度较大的威德尔海深层水可以通过此通道进入斯科舍海;布鲁斯通道海流流速约为0.13 m/s,通过此通道的暖深层水位势温度较高;埃斯佩里兹通道海流流速约为0.10 m/s,通过此通道的暖深层水位势温度最低,威德尔海深层水密度最小。在南奥克尼海台东西两侧均观测到南向和北向的海流,但整体上来看,向北的海流和水交换更强。水体进入斯科舍海后,沿着南斯科舍海岭的北侧向西北方向流动,流速约为0.21 m/s。德雷克海峡中的南极绕极流仅有一部分向东进入斯科舍海南部海域,且受到向西流动的暖深层水、威德尔海深层水的影响,斯科舍海南部海域的绕极深层水明显比德雷克海峡中绕极深层水的高温高盐性质弱;受到南极绕极流的影响,南斯科舍海岭北侧的威德尔海深层水比南侧暖。南斯科舍海岭上的水体可能受到北侧绕极深层水、暖深层水,西侧陆架水,东侧冬季水的影响,因此海岭上水体结构较为复杂。  相似文献

南极绕极流(ACC)是南大洋中最显著的流动,流量超过130×106m3/s (Nowlin et al.,1986)。传统认为,由于以东向运动为主的ACC的存在极大地阻碍了南大洋中上层的南北向物质和能量的交换,绕极流区的经向输运是非常小的。但是近些年的研究发现,穿过ACC的通量并不是可以忽略不计的,它对维持南极和亚南极区的动力和热力平衡起着重要作用,在全球气候系统中也有着深刻的影响(Doos et al.,1994)。  相似文献

长江口及其邻近海区的水动力学研究因其与沿岸地区的经济发展关系密切而倍受海洋学者的广泛关注。为了揭示该海区环流的动力过程和温、盐结构的分布特征及其动力成因,首先在对研究海区的地形特征、海面风应力、海面温度、海面盐度以及北、南、东三个液边界温度和盐度现场观测资料进行全面分析的基础上。选定适合于研究海区的三维斜压流体动力学模型(POM)。以研究海区冬、春、夏和秋季的海面风应力、海面温度和盐度资料作为海面边界条件,以北、南和东三个液边界的温度和盐度资料作为侧向液边界条件,并考虑长江径流、台湾暖流和东海沿岸流等外海入流的影响,对研究海区(120.9°E—124°E,29.5°N—33°N)四个季节的斜压环流和温、盐结构实施了动力学数值研究。获得了与观测事实相一致的三维流速和温、盐结构的空间分布。从动力学角度揭示并阐明长江口及其邻近海区水平环流和垂直环流的动力过程以及温、盐结构的分布特征和动力成因,为海区的生态动力学研究提供动力条件。  相似文献

In order to assess the impact of deep-sea mining on the in situ benthic life, we measured the microbial standing stock and concentration of organic nutrients in the deep-sea sediments of the Central Indian Ocean Basin in the Indian pioneer area. Sediments were collected using box core and grab samples during September 1996. The total bacterial numbers ranged from 10 10 -10 11 cells per g -1 dry weight sediment. There was a marginal decrease in the number of bacteria from surface to 30 cm depth, though the subsurface section registered a higher number than did the surface. The highest numbers were encountered at depths of 4-8 cm. The retrievable number of bacteria were two orders less in comparison with the direct total counts of bacteria. An almost homogeneous distribution of bacteria, total organic carbon, living biomass, and lipids throughout the depth of cores indicates active microbial and benthic processes in the deep sea sediments. On the other hand, a uniform distribution of total counts of bacteria, carbohydrates, and total organic carbon in all the cores indicates their stable nature and suggests that they can serve as useful parameters for long-term monitoring of the area after the benthic disturbance. Further studies on temporal variability in this region would not only verify the observed norms of distribution of these variables but would also help to understand restabilization processes after the simulated benthic disturbance.  相似文献

海上大直径钢管桩打桩过程中,桩周土体受到强烈扰动而发生强度弱化,掌握桩周土体强度弱化规律对于准确预测打桩过程、保证工程安全具有重要意义。为研究土体强度弱化规律,开展了环剪试验模拟打桩对桩周土体的扰动,测试土体强度随剪切速率的变化规律,建立了描述土体强度弱化规律的拟合公式,引入到打桩分析软件中。研究结果表明:土体的强度折减程度不仅与土体本身的性质有关还受到土体的埋深和剪切速率的影响,埋深越深土体强度折减程度越低,剪切速率越高土体强度折减越高,在打桩分析中可采用这里推荐的线性折减方法来模拟不同深度处土体强度的折减规律。  相似文献

An acoustic inversion method using a wide-band signal and two near field receivers is proposed and applied to multiple layered seabed models including a manganese sediment. The inversion problem can be formulated into a probabilistic model comprised of signals, a forward model, and additive noise. The forward model simulates wide-band signals, such as chirp signals, and is chosen to be the source-waveletconvolution plane wave modeling method. The wavelet matching technique, using weighted least-squares fitting, estimates the sediment sound-speed and thickness on which determination of the possible numerical ranges for a priori uniform distribution is based. The genetic algorithm is applied to a global optimization problem to find a maximum a posteriori solution for determined a priori search space. Here the object function is defined by an L 2 norm of the difference between measured and modeled signals. Not only the marginal pdf but also its statistics are calculated by numerical evaluation of integrals using the samples selected during importance sampling process of the genetic algorithm.  相似文献

This article reviews information recently available from existing marine and coastal mining for responses to environmental issues affecting marine mining at different depths. It is particularly but not exclusively concerned with those issues affecting seabed biodiversity impact and recovery. Much information has been gathered in the past 10 years from shallow mining operations for construction aggregate, diamonds, and gold, from coastal mines discharging tailings to shallow and deep water, and from experimental deep mining tests. The responses to issues identified are summarized in a series of eight tables intended to facilitate site-specific consideration. Since impacts can spread widely in the surface mixing layer SML, and can affect the biologically productive euphotic zone, the main issues considered arise from the depth of mining relative to the SML of the sea. Where mining is below the SML, the issue is whether it is environmentally better to bring the extraction products to the surface vessel for processing (and waste discharge), or to process the extraction products as much as possible on the seabed. Responses to the issues need to be sitespecific, and dependent on adequate preoperational environmental impact and recovery prediction. For deep tailings disposal from a surface vessel, there are four important environmental unknowns: (1) the possible growth of "marine snow" (bacterial flocs) utilizing the enormous quantities of fine tailings particles (hundreds or thousands of metric tons per day) as nuclei for growth, (2) the possibility that local keystone plankton and nekton species may migrate diurnally down to and beyond the depth of deep discharge and hence be subjected to tailings impact at depth, (3) the burrow-up capability of deep benthos and their ability to survive high rates of tailings deposition, and (4) the pattern and rate of dispersion of a tailings density current through the deep water column from discharge point to seabed. Actions to obtain relevant information in general and site-specifically are suggested.  相似文献

Particle fluxes were measured 7 m above the sea bottom during the predisturbance, disturbance, and postdisturbance periods by using time series sediment traps attached to seven deep-sea moorings deployed in the INDEX experiment site in the Central Indian Basin. The predisturbance particle fluxes varied between 22.3 to 55.1 mg m -2 day -1 . Increased and variable particle fluxes were recorded by the sediment traps during the disturbance period. The increase observed was 0.5 to 4 times more than the background predisturbance fluxes. The increases in particle fluxes (~4 times) recorded by the sediment trap located in the southwestern direction (DMS-1) were the greatest, which could be the result of preferential movement of resuspended particles generated during the deep-sea benthic disturbance along the general current direction prevailing in this area during the experimental period. Also, the traps located closer to the disturbance area recorded greater fluxes than did the traps far away, across the Deep Sea Sediment Resuspension System path. This variability in recorded particle fluxes by the traps around the disturbance area clearly indicates that physical characteristics such as grain size and density of the resuspended particles produced during the disturbance had an important effect on particle movement. The postdisturbance measurements during ~5 days showed a reduction in particle fluxes of ~50%, indicating rapid particle settlement.  相似文献

The advanced piston corer (APC) has been used by the Ocean Drilling Program since 1985 for recovering soft sediments from the ocean floor. The pullout force measured on extracting the core barrel from the sediment is shown to correlate with the average shear strength of the sediment core measured in the ship's laboratory. A simple rule of thumb is derived relating the shear strength of the sediment to the pullout force. Multiple APC holes at individual sites allow the consistency of the pullout measurements to be assessed. The effects of different operational procedures during APC coring are also explored. Although generally applicable, the correlation between pullout force and laboratory measurements of shear strength breaks down for some APC holes, possibly because of the disturbance of some sediment types during the APC coring process. A better understanding of the physical process of APC coring, and its effect on the properties of the sediment both inside and immediately outside the core barrel, would indicate what confidence can be put on the measurement of pullout force as a way of evaluating the in situ shear strength of deep sea sediments.  相似文献

A set of 27 marine planktonic bacteria isolated from the polar regions was characterized by 16S rDNA sequencing and physiological and biochemical testing. More than half of these bacteria were positive for caseinase, gelatinase and 13-glucosidase, and could utilize glucose, maltose or malic acid as carbon source for cell growth. Twelve isolates expressed nitrate reduction activities. Except for one antarctic isolate BSwlO175 belonging to Actinobacteria phylum, these isolates were classified as γ-Proteobacteria, suggesting that γ-Proteobacteria dominated in cultivable marine bacterioplankton at both poles. Genus Pseudoalteromonas was the predominant group in the Chukchi Sea and the Bering Sea, and genus ShewaneUa dominated in cultivable bacterioplankton in the Prydz Bay. With sequence similarities above 97%, genus Psychrobacter was found at both poles. These 27 isolates were psychrotolerant, and significant 16S rDNA sequence similarities were found not only between arctic and antarctic marine bacteria ( 〉 99% ), but also between polar marine bacteria and bacteria from other aquatic environments ( ≥ 98.8% ), including temperate ocean, deep sea, pond and lake, suggesting that in the polar oceans less temperature-sensitive bacteria may be cosmopolitan and have a bipolar, even global, distribution at the species level.  相似文献

Oedometer tests have been carried out on 70 undisturbed surficial clays (at approximately 250 mm below the mudline), mostly collected by free-fall corers from sites widely scattered throughout the deep-sea North Atlantic. Acoustic measurements were also made, initially on contiguous samples and ultimately on the same sample using a geophysically instrumented oedometer which also collected electrical resistivity data. Apart from those quiescent areas below the carbonate compensation depth, such as north of the West Indies where very fine clays exist, most of the samples are silty clays whose geotechnical-geophysical properties are dependent on the type of clay minerals present (and their ability to take in moisture), the sand-size fraction, and the quantity of carbonate present. Thus the pure clays have high compressibilities which decrease on the addition of coarse particles, while the converse is true for the acoustic parameters, these increasing with the sand fraction. Using the notion of the intrinsic compression line for all samples, and comparison to it of the measured compression curves, it is clear that, contrary to some previously held ideas, most deep-sea clays are normally consolidated; the addition of carbonate has the effect of creating an open, stronger sediment skeleton. Interestingly, where information is available, the variation with depth of a sample's acoustic velocity follows the void ratio pressure relationship of the compression curve. This allows the construction of an in-situ sediment compression curve using the in-situ geophysical observations.  相似文献
