Based on the AIRS satellite spectrometer data (the Aqua platform), the peculiarities are studied of the field of total ozone (TO) under prolonged blocking conditions over the European part of Russia in summer 2010. It is revealed that the spatial distribution of TO values during the period of blocking was characterized by negative TO anomalies (up to -37 DU on the first ten days of August) over the western and northern peripheries of the blocking anticyclone and by positive TO anomalies (up to 60 DU) over the troughs adj oinmg the anticyclone. Possible mechanisms of the formation of TO anomalies are discussed. The results are presented of the validation of TO measurements with the AIRS spectrometer in May-September 2010 obtained from the data of TO measurements with Brewer spectrophotometers at Kislovodsk and Obninsk stations of the global ozone network.  相似文献

利用1975—2008年NCEP/NCAR的逐月平均风场资料及1975—2001年ECMWF的逐月多层臭氧质量混合比资料,用大气环流三维分解方法研究了东亚低纬度地区之局地Hadley环流的结构及年代际演变特征,分析了该区域局地Hadley环流异常时对应大气臭氧的空间距平分布。研究结果表明:(1)东亚低纬度地区局地Hadley环流既与纬圈平均Hadley环流具有明显的季节变化,但又具有明显区别于纬圈平均Hadley环流的自身结构特征:除冬季存在明显向南、向北输送的两闭合环流圈外,局地Hadley环流在其余季节均以向南输送为主;(2)该局地Hadley环流具有不同于纬圈平均Hadley环流的年代际演变特征,在整个研究时段上以振荡变化为主,并没有表现出象纬圈平均值那样明显的增强趋势;(3)区域赤道上空平流层20~50 hPa大气臭氧的正负距平异常中包含有局地Hadley环流的异常信息:当局地Hadley环流异常强时,区域赤道上空20~50 hPa大气臭氧有一显著负距平异常中心,反之亦然。  相似文献

During more than half-century ozone observations in the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, the significant anomalies of total ozone (TO) with the duration of a month and more were observed in March 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2011 (in 1997 and 2011, they were the most significant and the longest). The maximum total ozone deficit zone over the land was observed over the northern coast of East Siberia. The ozone loss in the anomalies in 1997 and 2011 were associated with the unusual behavior of the circumpolar vortex which was unusually deep, stable, and durable in these years that resulted in the abnormal low temperature in the stratosphere in the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. In subpolar latitudes, the temperature in the lower stratosphere during the period from December 2010 to February 2011 was lower than in 1997. In 2011 due to the durable springtime anomaly, almost over the whole territory of Russia the average annual ozone values turned out to be significantly lower than in the previous decade. The total ozone deficit in the circumpolar vortex in spring 1997 and 2011 amounted to about 140 DU. The formation of large TO anomaly in 2011 indicates that the long-term evolution of ozone layer conditions is a part of the long-term evolution of the Earth climate system.  相似文献

The analysis of external factors, which are most significant for the formation of the monthly mean total ozone (TO) field and ozone transport over the Russian Federation, based on observation data obtained from about 30 ground-based stations of the ozonometric network averaged over a year, December through March and June through August, over five climatic regions, is considered. Performed spectrum and discriminant analysis allowed obtaining quantitative estimates of the impact of the Arctic Oscillation, deviation of the winter temperature of the lower polar stratosphere, quasi-biennial oscillations (QBO), 11-year solar cycle, El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on the TO and to assess the regional differences in the effects of these factors. In December–March, in the years with a negative Arctic Oscillation phase, warm stratosphere, and the easterly QBO phase (QBO-E), the ozone content increases significantly relative to the opposite phases of oscillations on average by 35, 28, and 26 Dobson units (DU), respectively. The spectra, similar to the discriminant function, demonstrate strong influence of the 11-year solar cycle and QBO on the TO even in the summer months, while the QBO is more pronounced in the eastern part of the Russian Federation. The ENSO effect was not singled out against the general “noisy” background of the cold six-month period, when many atmospheric processes become active: however, during the summer months, in warm periods of the ENSO, the TO, at the 97% significance level, increases over most of the Russian area. The rest of the obtained results are significant at the 95–99.9% level.  相似文献

利用TOMS臭氧资料和NCAR/NCEP再分析海温资料,分析研究了斯堪的纳维亚地区的臭氧亏损状况及其季节变化规律,指出在斯堪的纳维亚地区上空存在一个严重的臭氧亏损区。该臭氧亏损有明显的季节变化:冬季最强,夏季最弱。同时研究了北大西洋海温分布和季节变化,指出其与斯堪的纳维亚地区臭氧亏损有极好的负相关。因此,认为可以用北大西洋海温的季节变化来估计斯堪的纳维亚地区气候尺度的臭氧亏损变化。  相似文献

利用1979—2005年TOMS(total ozone mapping spectrometer)和2006—2007年OMI(ozone mo-nitoring instrument)的卫星观测资料,分析中国地区对流层臭氧含量(tropospheric ozone residue,TOR)、整层臭氧含量(total ozone,TO)的空间分布和季节变化特征,利用二项式加权平均法、Mann-Kendall突变检验法以及小波分析法分析南方典型地区广州臭氧序列的趋势、突变以及周期特征。结果表明,中国地区多年平均对流层臭氧柱含量为35.89DU,东中部地区高于西部,四川东部和重庆西部存在极高值区,青藏高原为极低值区;对流层臭氧夏季平均值最高,冬季最低,春季高于秋季。中国地区多年平均臭氧总量为298.61DU。臭氧总量随着纬度增大而增大,成带状分布,青藏高原为极低值区;臭氧总量春季平均值最大,秋季为最低。南方广州地区的对流层臭氧在1979—2007年之间存在明显的上升趋势,时间变率为0.38DU/(10a);TOR时间序列在1997年发生突变,存在显著的1a及2a的周期。臭氧总量在1979—2007年之间存在明显的下降趋势,变化率为-2.1DU/(10a);TO在1993年发生突变,存在显著的2a周期  相似文献

综合利用1978-2011年TOMS(Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer)和OMI(Ozone Monitoring Instrument)臭氧总量资料,MLS(Microwave Limb Sounder)臭氧廓线资料以及NCEP/NCAR再分析气象场资料,对比研究了近30a南北极臭氧总量的年际变化和季节变化差异,重点分析了2010/2011年冬末春初北极臭氧出现的异常损耗现象,探讨北极春季臭氧低值产生的原因。结果表明:与南极地区一年四季都保持一个臭氧低值中心明显不同,北极臭氧总量的减少则是伴随着整个春夏季(4-8月),在秋季(10月)达到最低值,冬季(11月-次年2月)北极臭氧快速恢复,这主要是由于南北半球极地地区环流差异和温度差异造成的。南北两极年均O3总量呈下降趋势,两极地区O3总量年际变化最大的季节是春季。近30a,北极在1997和2011年春季(3-4月)分别达到极低值355DU和361DU,但近年来两极臭氧年际变化趋势不明显。2011年春季,北极地区出现的较严重臭氧低值现象从3月中旬至4月中旬持续了近1个月,2010/2011年冬春季平流层低温和臭氧低值对应关系很好。  相似文献

Boreal summer intraseasonal oscillation(BSISO) of lower tropospheric ozone is observed in the Indian summer monsoon(ISM) region on the basis of ERA-Interim reanalysis data and ozonesonde data from the World Ozone and Ultraviolet Radiation Data Centre. The 30–60-day intraseasonal variation of lower-tropospheric ozone shows a northwest–southeast pattern with northeastward propagation in the ISM region. The most significant ozone variations are observed in the Maritime Continent and western North Pacific. In the tropics, ozone anomalies extend from the surface to 300 hPa; however, in extratropical areas, it is mainly observed under 500 hPa. Precipitation caused by BSISO plays a dominant role in modulating the BSISO of lower-tropospheric ozone in the tropics, causing negative/positive ozone anomalies in phases 1–3/5–6. As the BSISO propagates northeastward to the western North Pacific, horizontal transport becomes relatively more important, increasing/reducing tropospheric ozone via anticyclonic/cyclonic anomalies over the western North Pacific in phases 3–4/7–8.As two extreme conditions of the ISM, most of its active/break events occur in BSISO phases 4–7/1–8 when suppressed/enhanced convection appears over the equatorial eastern Indian Ocean and enhanced/suppressed convection appears over India, the Bay of Bengal, and the South China Sea. As a result, the BSISO of tropospheric ozone shows significant positive/negative anomalies over the Maritime Continent, as well as negative/positive anomalies over India, the Bay of Bengal,and the South China Sea in active/break spells of the ISM. This BSISO of tropospheric ozone is more remarkable in break spells than in active spells of the ISM, due to the stronger amplitude of BSISO in the former.  相似文献

利用1979~2002年TOMS卫星观测资料,采用臭氧总量纬向偏差和区域强迫的分析方法,研究北大西洋东北部大气臭氧低值与北太平洋西北部臭氧高值的季节变化过程和相互关系.研究表明,(1)北大西洋东北部存在一个大气臭氧极小值,年平均臭氧总量比纬向平均值低20 DU以上,冬季低50 DU以上; 北太平洋西北部存在一个大气臭氧极大值,年平均臭氧总量比纬向平均值高35 DU以上,冬季高70 DU以上.(2)上述两个地区大气臭氧的季节变化具有很强的区域特征,区域大气动力学输送和化学过程对上述两个地区大气臭氧季节变化的强迫分别为50.3%和42.6%.(3)上述两个地区大气臭氧纬向偏差的季节变化间存在很好的反相关,相关系数达到-0.98,说明其臭氧区域强迫之间存在良好的关系.  相似文献

欧亚大陆积雪是重要的气候预测因子,评估其在气候模式中的预测潜力可为季节气候预测和模式发展提供重要参考。本文利用IAP AGCM4的多年集合后报结果,分析了欧亚大陆春季雪水当量的可预报性。结果表明该模式对提前1月后报的欧亚大陆春季雪水当量的空间分布,主要模态及变化趋势具有较好的可预报能力。此外模式对欧亚中高纬积雪的年际异常也具有较高的预报技巧,特别是高纬度区域。可预报性来源分析则表明,大气初始异常对欧亚中高纬积雪可预报性的影响与海温异常相比显得更为重要。  相似文献

We investigate the Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO) signal in wintertime stratospheric ozone over the Tibetan Plateau and East Asia using the harmonized dataset of satellite ozone profiles. Two different MJO indices — the all-season Real-Time multivariate MJO index(RMM) and outgoing longwave radiation-based MJO index(OMI) — are used to compare the MJOrelated ozone anomalies. The results show that there are pronounced eastward-propagating MJO-related stratospheric ozone anomalies(mainly within 20–200 h Pa) over the subtropics. The negative stratospheric ozone anomalies are over the Tibetan Plateau and East Asia in MJO phases 4–7, when MJO-related tropical deep convective anomalies move from the equatorial Indian Ocean towards the western Pacific Ocean. Compared with the results based on RMM, the MJO-related stratospheric column ozone anomalies based on OMI are stronger and one phase ahead. Further analysis suggests that different sampling errors, observation principles and retrieval algorithms may be responsible for the discrepancies among different satellite measurements. The MJO-related stratospheric ozone anomalies can be attributed to the MJO-related circulation anomalies,i.e., the uplifted tropopause and the northward shifted westerly jet in the upper troposphere. Compared to the result based on RMM, the upper tropospheric westerly jet may play a less important role in generating the stratospheric column ozone anomalies based on OMI. Our study indicates that the circulation-based MJO index(RMM) can better characterize the MJOrelated anomalies in tropopause pressure and thus the MJO influence on atmospheric trace gases in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere, especially over subtropical East Asia.  相似文献

根据2001~2003年期间获得的大气臭氧探空资料,揭示了北京地区上空对流层顶高度的某些变化特征及其对上对流层(UT)和下平流层(LS)区域内大气臭氧含量变化的影响.结果显示:北京地区上空对流层顶高度的平均值约11.1 km,其变化范围为7.7~14.4 km,臭氧层顶始终处在对流层顶下方约0.9 km高度处.对流层顶高度变化与臭氧总量变化之间的关系相对较弱.通常情况下,LS中的臭氧积分量明显高于UT中的相应值,并且二者呈相反的季节变化特征.北京地区上空仲夏和初秋季节第一对流层顶出现的频数明显减少,在第一对流层顶消失的情况下,LS中的臭氧积分量明显减少,而UT中的臭氧积分量明显增加,臭氧量减少最多发生在200~100 hPa层次中,而臭氧量增幅最大的层次是400~250 hPa.  相似文献

Summary  Rainfall anomaly patterns are obtained for the city of Barcelona from a statistical and a spectral point of view. The time series consists of monthly rainfall amounts recorded over 128 years without interruption. Monthly positive and negative anomalies, obtained as the difference between monthly amounts and monthly threshold values, are used for both types of analyses. The threshold levels are derived form the deciles of theoretical monthly rainfall distributions, which have been previously modelled by the gamma distribution. Positive and negative anomalies of the monthly rain amounts are investigated for these threshold levels. The statistical analysis is applied to each decile considered, yielding empirical exponential laws that can be used to forecast the cumulative number of episodes of consecutive months with either positive or negative anomalies equalling or exceeding a fixed length. A set of linear laws, relating the expected rainfall amount cumulated during an episode of a fixed length, is also deduced. It is worthy of mention that, independently of the decile considered, all the exponential and linear laws have satisfactory regression coefficients. At the same time, it has also been possible to establish the evolution of the coefficients of these laws with respect to the different deciles considered. The exponential laws for episodes of positive and negative anomalies are the starting point, together with two hypotheses, to model probabilities of repeated long episodes over an arbitrary number of years and their return periods in terms of the Poisson distribution model. Moreover, power spectra are derived for anomalies relative to the 50% decile at monthly and seasonal scale. The spectral estimates obtained are then compared with theoretical spectra deduced from possible Markovian or random behaviour of the time series of anomalies. Finally, the significant spectral peaks are discussed and compared with other significant spectral components deduced for some areas of the Mediterranean domain. 首次利用Nimbus-7卫星上搭载的臭氧观测光谱仪(TOMS)资料,分析研究了大尺度山地(青藏高原、洛基山脉和安第斯山脉)上空臭氧总量的分布和季节变化规律,指出了大尺度山地对大气臭氧的减少作用。从全球大气臭氧总量分布和纬向偏差分布可以看出:在上述3个大尺度山地上空均存在着明显的臭氧低值扰动,该扰动区夏季强于冬季。在这3个区域中,青藏高原上空的臭氧低值扰动为最强。分析同时指出:上述大尺度山地上空臭氧季节变化的极小值在秋季,极大值在春季。但上述地区臭氧总量与同纬度其它地区臭氧总量的偏差在春季或初夏达到极小值。为分析这种大尺度山地对臭氧减少作用的原因,本文分析了青藏高原地面热源与臭氧总量的关系,指出:大尺度山地表面对大气的加热与该地区臭氧减少之间存在着良好的反相关;在地面对大气的感热加热、潜热加热和有效长波辐射加热中,以感热加热与臭氧减少的关系为最好。  相似文献

The results of lidar measurements of ozone profiles over Obninsk in the altitude range of 12–35 km in 2012–2016 are presented. Temporal variations in total ozone in the above altitude range and seasonal variations in the vertical distribution of ozone are considered. Basic attention is paid to the analysis of ozone profile variations on the daily and weekly scales. The backtrajectory analysis demonstrated that in most cases the formation of layers with low or high ozone values is explained by the direction of meridional advection. Cross-correlation coefficients for the variations in ozone and temperature relative to the current monthly mean variations are calculated. Rather high values of correlation coefficients (~0.4–0.6) are obtained for summer in the low stratosphere (100 and 160 hPa) and for winter in the upper troposphere (50 and 20 hPa). In general, variations in ozone profiles are consistent with available climatologic data.  相似文献

The present work reports studies on the spatial distribution of tropospheric ozone extending over both southern and northern hemispheres. This study is based on a univariate approach to the spatial data series obtained at regular spatial intervals. Mann?CKendall's (MK) trend analysis has been carried out to discern the trend within the spatial distribution of the tropospheric ozone, and it has been observed that in all seasons, except monsoon (JJAS), there is a linear trend within the spatial distribution. Studying both monthly and seasonal behavior through autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA), it has been revealed that ARIMA (0,2,2) can be used as a representative of the spatially distributed tropospheric ozone over southern and northern hemispheres. The representative model has been confirmed through the study of Willmott's index and prediction yield.  相似文献

This study examines the influence of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on the frequency of landfalling tropical cyclones (TCs) in the Korean Peninsula during the TC season, June through October, of the years 1951–2010. An ENSO year is defined when the seasonal mean of the NINO3.4 sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies is greater/less than the typical seasonal mean by 0.5°C. The overall results of this study support that ENSO does not affect the landfalling TCs in Korea; the mean frequencies of the TC landfalls (influences) during El Niño and La Niña calculated over the entire analysis period are 1.1 (3.3) and 1.2 (3.0), respectively. The variations in the basin-wide distribution of TCs show that the influence of ENSO on TC distribution is extended over southeastern Japan with no significant signals coming from over the Korean Peninsula and the East China Sea. The change in the intensity of the landfalling TCs in the Korean Peninsula due to ENSO leads to the same conclusion as that in the frequency of the landfalling TCs. In addition, the same conclusion is obtained when the TC season duration is expanded to include the entire year and when different definitions of the ENSO years (e.g., based on the preceding or following winter NINO3.4 SST anomalies) are selected for analysis.  相似文献

The review is compiled on the basis of the results of the operation of the total ozone (TO) monitoring in the CIS and Baltic countries functioning in the operational regime at the Central Aerological Observatory (CAO). The monitoring system uses the data from the national network with M-124 filter ozonometers under methodological supervision of the Main Geophysical Observatory. The quality of the functioning of the entire system is under operational control based on the observations obtained from the OMI satellite equipment (NASA, the United States). The basic TO observation data are generalized for each month of the fourth quarter of 2011, for the quarter, and for the year as a whole. The features of the development of the spring Arctic and Antarctic ozone anomalies in 2011 are described. The results of regular observations of surface ozone content in the Moscow region are also generalized.  相似文献

Presented are the results of surface ozone monitoring in the atmosphere over Ulan-Ude during the period from 2000 to 2012. Revealed are seasonal and diurnal variations of surface ozone. The analysis of the seasonal variability of surface ozone concentration indicates the presence of the clearly pronounced maximum in spring-summer period. A statistical model of forecasting single concentrations of the surface ozone is considered using the multiple regression analysis. Temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, wind speed, turbulence factor, temperature gradient, velocity of vertical flow, and concentrations of minor gas admixtures such as nitrogen oxides are used as predictors. Analyzed are statistical relationships, where observed ozone values are presented in the form of the regression function of the most significant predictors.  相似文献
