An integrated provenance study using provenance-sensitive heavy mineral ratios, mineral chemistry and U/Pb dating of detrital zircons has revealed significant changes in sediment provenance during deposition of the Early to Middle Jurassic succession in the Heidrun Field, offshore Mid-Norway. The variations result from the interplay of two source regions, one of which was located on the Norwegian landmass and the other on the conjugate East Greenland margin. Sediment sourced from central East Greenland is distinguished by high garnet:zircon, high rutile:zircon, low chrome spinel:zircon, garnet assemblages rich in low-Ca, high-Mg varieties, and zircon populations that include an Archean group, a diverse range of Early–Middle Proterozoic grains, and an Early Paleozoic group. These features indicate derivation from a high-grade (granulite facies) metasedimentary terrain together with Archean basement and Early Paleozoic granitoids. Norwegian-sourced sandstones differ by having lower garnet:zircon and rutile:zircon, variable chrome spinel:zircon, garnet assemblages scarce in low-Ca, high-Mg varieties, and zircon populations that lack an Archean group. Derivation from the Caledonian Nappe Domain, comprising metasediments (predominantly at amphibolite facies), ophiolites and Early Paleozoic granitoids, is indicated. Initially, during deposition of the non-marine lower part of the Åre Formation (Hettangian–Sinemurian), sediment was fed from the west, but in the upper (tidally influenced) part of the Åre Formation (Sinemurian–Pliensbachian), Norwegian-sourced material appears. Greenland-derived material disappears in the subsequent Tilje Formation (Pliensbachian), with the Tilje and subsequent Ror and Ile Formations (Toarcian–Aalenian) being predominantly sourced from the east. The regional regression at the base of the Garn Formation (Bajocian) was accompanied by a switch in provenance, with Greenland-derived material replacing sediment sourced from Norway. Variations in mineralogy offer a framework for correlation on both local and sub-regional scales.  相似文献

碎屑锆石能较好保存源区岩石组成的信息,其铀-铅年龄是沉积物源区示踪有效的方法。利用激光剥蚀等离子体质谱和多接收器等离子体质谱联机(LA-MC-ICPMS)技术,对台湾海峡西部闽江口和九龙江口沉积物中的碎屑锆石进行原位铀-铅测年,同时获得锆石的微量元素。研究表明大部分碎屑锆石的钍与铀含量之比值大于0.1,稀土元素球粒陨石标准化配分曲线呈左倾型,并具有明显的铈含量正异常和铕含量负异常,结合阴极发光图像表明这些锆石绝大部分为岩浆成因。闽江口和九龙江口的碎屑锆石具有相同的印支期(峰值为236 Ma)、燕山早期(峰值为155 Ma)和燕山晚期(峰值为110 Ma)等3个峰值,这三期碎屑锆石占主要部分,反映闽江口和九龙江口碎屑沉积物主要来自各流域上游印支期和中下游燕山期岩体,而闽江口碎屑锆石具有明显的加里东期峰(峰值为465 Ma)和前寒武纪(553~2 765 Ma)较多的碎屑锆石,这些碎屑物质可能来自上游武夷山地区加里东期和前寒武纪基底的物质。对比闽江口碎屑锆石铀-铅年龄与台湾岛西部海滨沙滩(苗栗-新竹、嘉义-台南)中的独居石年龄具有相似的谱峰特征,表明台湾岛西部海滨沙滩碎屑物质可能有部分来自闽江。闽江口碎屑物质明显区别于福建的九龙江和浙江的瓯江,这为判别台湾海峡沉积物的物质来源提供可靠的依据。  相似文献

冲绳海槽南部作为冲绳海槽全新世以来沉积速率最快的区域,其沉积物记录了物源区、黑潮及东亚季风演化等多方面的信息。通过碎屑锆石年代学,对冲绳海槽南部H4-S2孔沉积物开展了物源示踪研究。结合核密度估计图解(Kernel Density Estimation,KDE)、累积年龄分布(Cumulative Age Distribution,CAD)及其相关性分析,进行了研究层位和潜在物源区的可视化分析与相似性检验,揭示了研究样品中2个层位碎屑锆石的年代学特征及物质来源。物源分析结果显示,近200 a来冲绳海槽南部沉积物中的碎屑锆石记录了东海陆架、长江以及兰阳河来源的物质,指示了除兰阳河外,东海陆架及长江在晚全新世对冲绳海槽南部的沉积物质来源具有重要贡献。  相似文献

Three distinctive detrital garnet associations have been recognized in Brent Group sandstones of the Oseberg area (northern North Sea) by means of electron microprobe analysis. These have lithostratigraphical significance, with one association occurring in the Etive and Oseberg Formations, one in the Ness Formation and one in the Tarbert Formation. The stratigraphic variation in garnet population reflects changes in provenance and in the pattern of distribution of clastic detritus, although a detailed reconstruction of source areas is not possible on the basis of the available information.Differentiation of Ness and Etive/Oseberg Formations by means of detrital garnet geochemistry has enabled the recognition of fluvial chanbel sandstones belonging to the Ness Formation which have cut down into the Etive Formation shoreline complex. This provides direct evidence of communication between Ness and Etive/Oseberg, adding an extra degree of sophistication to the geological input for reservoir simulation. A strong permeability anisotropy can be modelled around the fluvial channels, and a net sand volume can be modelled in agreement with channel orientation.  相似文献

The provenance of the Danish Miocene sands has been deduced from zircon ages and heavy minerals integrated with an existing detailed stratigraphic model of the fluvio-deltaic sand successions that prograded into the North Sea Basin in large delta lobes. The stratigraphic model allowed interpretation of the depositional ages of the samples, which were used to reconstruct the outline of the river pathway system for each time slice. The contribution from individual source areas to a specific position in the Miocene succession was controlled by depositional environment and tectonics. The major rivers each flowed separately to the sea, so mixing between supplies from different sources could only have occurred in the marine environment, where a wave-induced shallow current and a tidally-induced deeper current transported the sediment along the shore in opposite directions. Changes in grain size parameters and mineral assemblages across Denmark showed that the overall sediment transport direction for southern Scandinavia was to the south-west. They also showed that the sediments are immature with regards to transport length, so the high maturity of the heavy mineral suite suggests that kaolinisation has been a widespread phenomenon in the source areas. Rapid uplift and/or extensive denudation may have been revealed by an apparent eastward migration of the dominating provenance area, which was observed in the zircon age data for two consecutive time spans; the early Miocene first tectonic pulse and the intra-early Miocene tectonic phase. Comparison of the zircon age distributions with age markers defined using the published ages of the Scandinavian basement terranes shows that most of the sand came from several Sveconorwegian source areas in south-eastern Norway and south-western Sweden. Contributions from the Svecofennian Orogen, the Caledonian belt and the Oslo Rift are also found and the presence of Archaean zircon grains suggests that contributions to the river systems came from as far away as Finland.  相似文献

单颗粒碎屑矿物可减小源区岩石类型、蚀变过程和程度及搬运与沉积过程对物源信息释读的干扰, 已逐渐成为海洋沉积物物源分析的有力工具, 并取得一定的应用成果。目前, 锆石、石榴石、长石、辉石、角闪石、独居石及磁铁矿等均已被成功用于海洋沉积物物源研究, 并主要利用单矿物主量元素、年代学等方法精确识别物源区地质特征和位置, 但单矿物微量元素、同位素及微区结构及多矿物对比研究的应用尚有不足; 因此, 目前对物源信息的释读难免片面, 物源识别方法和技术也仍未成熟。随着方法的发展和完善, 将可开展诸多深入研究, 如通过锆石、独居石、云母和磷灰石等不同矿物的年代学研究, 示踪研究物源区的时空变化; 通过建立多矿物定量研究模型, 进而定量研究源区蚀变速率和源汇过程中的物质输运通量和过程等。文章总结单颗粒碎屑矿物在物源识别中的应用现状, 并展望其应用前景, 以期引起同行对此研究方法的关注, 进一步促进该方法在海洋沉积物物源分析中的应用和发展。  相似文献

恩平组是珠江口盆地白云凹陷已经获得勘探证实的主要烃源层系。对其物源的清晰认识是潜力烃源和有利储层发育研究的重要基础。基于大量的三维地震解释和有限的钻井资料分析,提出白云凹陷恩平组时期不仅有来自北部盆外物源的输入,同时存在来自南部隆起的物源贡献。已钻井岩石学特征、古地貌分析、地震剖面特征和碎屑锆石年代学特征表明,白云凹陷西南部恩平组具有砂地比超过80%、粒度较粗、发育NE向大规模高角度“S”型前积地震相、具有物源通道的古地貌以及碎屑锆石以中生代岩浆锆石为主的特征,这与凹陷北部盆外具有NW向较平缓的“叠瓦状”前积地震相和较老的前寒武纪—古生代的碎屑锆石年龄的特征截然不同。综合分析认为,恩平组时期白云凹陷的南部隆起物源为白云凹陷西南部提供了充足的陆源物质供给,对白云西南部的优质陆源海相烃源岩的发育有重要作用;同时云开低凸起恩平组砂体埋深浅,粒度粗,是重要的潜在优质储层,具有重要的勘探意义。  相似文献

碎屑锆石年代学常被用于示踪物源、重建源区古地理以及揭示区域构造-沉积演化历史。分析和收集了台湾山溪性河流及大陆东南部中小河流的碎屑锆石U-Pb年龄,探究了山溪性中小河流碎屑锆石年代学的主要控制因素,及对东部海区沉积物源的示踪意义。河流碎屑锆石年龄组成与流域基岩性质比较研究揭示,大陆东南部中小河流碎屑锆石年代学与流域基岩所经历的构造-岩浆活动对应,而台湾山溪性小河流的碎屑锆石年代学与流域沉积岩的构造-沉积演化历史密切相关。中国东南部山溪性中小河流的碎屑锆石年龄组成揭示出三类不同的物源端元:(1)东南沿岸的小河流具有极高的燕山期锆石峰值;(2)东南部中等流域规模的河流以明显的加里东期锆石峰值为特征;(3)台湾西部山溪小河具有较高比例的前寒武纪锆石以及明显的晋宁期和吕梁期峰值年龄。这些物源端元特征的确立为今后示踪末次冰期阶段东海内陆架和台湾海峡的粗粒沉积物来源提供重要参考。  相似文献

ODP (Ocean Drilling Program) Site 1119 was drilled in drift successions deposited by northward flowing currents on the Canterbury slope, South Island, New Zealand. Pliocene (∼3.9 Ma) to Pleistocene drift accumulation was concomitant with tectonic uplift and sediment supply from the Alpine Fault plate boundary to the west, glacial development and eustatic sealevel change that created cyclicity in sandy input. Sand detrital and biogenic modes of very fine and fine sand fractions from 24 unconsolidated core samples (44 thin sections) were determined. Fine sand fractions contain an average of 52% bioclastic debris, with bioclasts making up 23% of the very fine sand fraction. Foraminifers are the dominant bioclasts, with pelagic more common than benthic varieties. The average proportions of monocrystalline quartz, plagioclase and potassium feldspar are similar in both size fractions (average QmKP of ∼25:12:63). In contrast, the very fine sand fractions have, on average, higher lithic (QFL%L of 16 vs. 3%), mica (Totalgrain%M of 10 vs. 6%), and dense mineral (Totalgrain%D of 8 vs. 5%) content as compared with the fine sand fractions. Younger clinoform drape (Unit I) and older mounded drift (Unit II) seismic facies showed no distinct detrital compositional differences in their sand fractions, though bioclast content ranges higher in the fine sand fraction of Unit II. Albite feldspar, metamorphic rock fragment, and chlorite components in the sand are consistent with a schist provenance. Other components such as biotite, plagioclase, and K-feldspar require a contribution from metasedimentary and volcanic rocks. Thus there is some along-slope mixing during sediment transport by south-to-north flowing currents. Cemented microporous sandstone at the base of the section provides some insight into contourite burial diagenesis. This work provides a better understanding of the compositional variability of sand components of drift successions which are potential hydrocarbon reservoirs elsewhere.  相似文献

The Cenozoic evolution of the Barents Sea has been widely debated for its implications on hydrocarbon exploration. In this paper, we provide the first, for the area, apatite (U–Th)/He thermochronology data on Early-Middle Jurassic and Early Cretaceous sandstone reservoir samples obtained from three wells located on the western part of the Barents Shelf. A large range of grain ages have been detected, ranging from 1.58 to 50.65 Ma. These thermochronological data, initially integrated with vitrinite reflectance measurements to properly constrain the burial history evolution, have been modelled on the basis of estimated maximum temperature in order to evaluate the cooling path to present-day temperatures. Outputs from modelling indicate that: 1) the amount of net uplift and denudation is in the order of 1000 m, and 2) the last important phase of exhumation occurred during late Miocene-early Pliocene time, therefore challenging the prevailing idea of substantial uplift linked to the observed shelf-progradation along the margin as a result of the Plio-Pleistocene glaciations. The timing of the distinct exhumation event documented here may be, instead, attributed to different mechanisms. These may include basin inversion widespread on the NW European margin that is probably related to local changes in the North Atlantic spreading vector, while other mechanisms may include thermal and lithospheric-scale anomalies observed at the northwestern corner of the Barents-Svalbard Shelf.  相似文献

Triassic platform-margin deltas in the western Barents Sea   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The Early to Middle Triassic in the Barents Sea was dominated by prograding transgressive-regressive sequences. Internal clinoform geometries indicate that sediments were derived from the Baltic Shield in the south and the Uralian Mountains in the east and southeast. These systems were formed in a large, relatively shallow epicontinental basin, where modest variations in relative sea-level relocated the shoreline significantly. This study shows the development of strike elongated depositional wedges that thicken just basinward of the platform-edge. Seismic facies and time-thickness maps show the position and development of platform-margin delta complexes within each sequence. Seismic clinoforms and trajectory analysis show significant lateral variation from the axis of the delta complex to areas adjacent to the main delivery system. Frequent toplap geometries are observed in proximity to coarse-grained deposits, while aggradation of seismic clinoforms characterizes areas laterally to the platform-margin deltas. Complex shifts in depocenters are revealed by large-scale compensational stacking pattern and relict platform breaks. Locally, relict breaks are created due to pre-existing paleo-topography. Platform-margin deltas can be identified by careful mapping of clinoform geometries, clinoform angles and trajectories. However, seismic analysis of prograding clinoform units indicate that the shoreline and delta complexes commonly are positioned landward of the platform-edge. Deposition of platform-margin deltas is sometimes caused by locally increased sediment supply during slightly rising relative sea-level, and occasionally caused by a regional drop in relative sea-level with significant shelf bypass.Development, position, thickness and facies distribution of platform deltas and platform-margin deltas of very broad low-relief basins, like the Triassic of the epicontinental Barents Sea basin, are strongly sensitive to changes in relative sea-level due to rapid emergence and submergence of wide areas, and to changes in position of major rivers supplying sand to the delta systems. In this respect, the depositional model of the present study deviates from models of clinoform successions obtained from small and narrow basins or siliciclastic platforms with high coarse-clastic sediment supply.  相似文献

锆石具有较强的稳定性,是地质研究中一种强有力的工具。通过对其形态学研究,再结合其地球化学特征,可讨论其母岩的成因;同时,结合颗粒锆石的微区定年,可以讨论重要的地质事件成因和演化,如锆石的成因和微区离子探针技术在研究造山带构造年代学中发挥着重要作用。利用激光探针等离子体质谱(LAM-ICPMS)技术对丽水凹陷古新统沉积岩中锆石进行微区定年和微量元素测定,并对稀土元素配分模式和微量元素特征进行分析,结果表明,对于复杂来源的锆石,利用其地球化学特征进行区分效果不理想,锆石地球化学特征并不是有利的沉积和锆石来源显示。  相似文献

The East China Sea Shelf Basin generated a series of back-arc basins with thick successions of marine- and terrestrial-facies sediments during Cenozoic. It is enriched with abundant oil and gas resources and is of great significance to the petroleum exploration undertakings. Therein, the Lishui Sag formed fan delta, fluvial delta and littoral-to-neritic facies sediments during Paleocene–Eocene, and the research on its sedimentary environment and sediment source was controversial. This study analyzed the paleontological combination characteristics, and conducted a source-to-sink comparative analysis to restore the sedimentary environment and provenance evolution of the Lishui Sag during Paleocene–Eocene based on the integration of detrital zircon U-Pb age spectra patterns with paleontological assemblages. The results indicated that Lishui Sag was dominated by littoral and neritic-facies environment during time corroborated by large abundance of foraminifera, calcareous nannofossils and dinoflagellates. Chronological analysis of detrital zircon U-Pb revealed that there were significant differences in sediment sources between the east and west area of the Lishui Sag. The western area was featured by deeper water depths in the Paleocene–Eocene, and the sediment was characterized by a single Yanshanian peak of zircon U-Pb age spectra, and mainly influenced from Yanshanian magmatic rocks of South China Coast and the surrounding paleo-uplifts. However, its eastern area partly showed Indosinian populations. In particular, the upper Eocene Wenzhou sediments were featured by increasingly plentiful Precambrian zircons in addition to the large Indosinian-Yanshanian peaks, indicating a possible impact from the Yushan Low Uplift to the east. Therefore, it is likely that the eastern Lishui Sag generated large river systems as well as deltas during time. Due to the Yuquan Movement, the Lishui Sag experienced uplifting and exhumation in the late stage of the late Eocene and was not deposited with sediments until Miocene. Featured by transitional-facies depositions of Paleocene–Eocene, the Lishui Sag thus beared significant potential for source rock and oil-gas reservoir accumulation.  相似文献

澳大利亚西北陆架盆地是一个长期继承性发育的叠合盆地,三叠纪时期处于稳定克拉通大陆边缘拗陷阶段,沉积区基底构造稳定,坡度平缓,发育大型的浅水三角洲。利用钻井、地震以及古生物资料,明确了当时的古地理、古气候与沉积特征:平面上具有三角洲平原分布广、三角洲前缘欠发育、无前积现象等特征;纵向上具有相漂移、地层厚度大、三角洲平原薄煤层普遍发育等特点;沉积作用以单向水流作用为主,正旋回的分支流水道砂体广泛发育;三角洲砂岩分布广,成分成熟较高,但分选磨圆差-中等,互层泥岩中陆源碎屑有机组分丰富,体现了浅水、快速堆积、远距离搬运的特点。平面上西北陆架North Carnarvon以及Browse主力三角洲砂体位于中晚三叠世卡尼期-诺瑞期;而Bonaparte盆地主力砂体位于中三叠世拉丁期-卡尼期。晚三叠世澳大利亚西北陆架北部普遍发生抬升,导致Browse盆地与Bonaparte盆地三叠系发育不全,三角洲规模较小;而西北陆架西南部North Carnarvon盆地地层发育齐全,厚度大,且发育大型三角洲。Pilbara地块、Yilgarn地块以及Kimberley地块为源区三大古陆,其中Pilbara地块与Yilgarn地块大多出露太古代花岗岩类,Kimberley地块以元古代变质结晶岩和沉积岩为主,为盆地提供了充足的碎屑沉积物。利用岩矿资料、磷灰石裂变径迹等资料探讨了大型三角洲的碎屑物来源:North Carnarvon盆地物源主要来自于Pilbara以及Yilgarn地块,Browse以及Bonaparte盆地物源主要来自于Kimberley地块。研究成果表明,在三叠纪全球温室气候背景条件下,特提斯南缘具有发育大型三角洲的特殊古地理背景;大型三角洲发育的地质条件除充足的降雨与丰富的物源供给外,还必须具有稳定持续沉降的构造背景。  相似文献

Coarse-grained gravity flow deposits are quite common in the stratigraphic record, but their capability in transporting cobbles and boulders at great distance from the eroding sources is still poorly assessed. Here, we tackle this issue by the analysis of coarse-grained gravity flow deposits of the Aveto Formation, deposited in the Early Oligocene Adriatic foredeep and now exposed in the accretionary wedge of the Northern Apennines (Italy). We combine field observations and provenance constraints provided by Laser Ablation Split Stream (LASS)-ICP-MS depth-profiling of detrital zircon grains. We found that the polymodal grain-age distributions in the analyzed samples, dominated by Periadriatic, Variscan and Caledonian age populations, also include Late Cretaceous to Paleocene ages associated to thin epitaxial overgrowths on older zircon cores. These overgrowths display Th/U and REE patterns consistent with a metamorphic origin, and provide a diagnostic fingerprint that indicates the Bergell area in the Central Alps as the only viable source of coarse detritus, including cobbles and boulders of magmatic and metamorphic rocks, transported by gravity flows towards the nascent Adriatic foredeep. Our results provide not only pin-points for a reliable paleotectonic reconstruction of the Bergell-Aveto source-to-sink system, one of the most remarkable features of the Oligocene Adria-Europe plate boundary, but also compelling evidence for ∼300 km axial transport by gravity flows experienced by coarse detritus derived from the Oligocene Central Alps. The eruptions of the Bergell volcanic complex provided abundant pyroclastic material variably mixed with metamorphic detritus, that was quickly funneled into submarine canyons triggering southward-directed gravity flows. Active tectonics, pyroclastic material provided by volcanic eruptions, steep canyons close to the shoreline and the presence of fault-controlled submarine troughs, may effectively promote the long-distance transport of coarse material by gravity flows not only in the Oligocene, but also today.  相似文献

Within the context of the southwestern Barents Sea, the southern Stappen High and its transition to the Bjørnøya Basin are still underexplored. Improved quality seismic reflection data are utilised to describe new insights into the Paleozoic to early Cenozoic tectono-stratigraphic evolution of the area, as well as to discuss the structural inheritance and the rift development. Well-defined syn-rift wedges and better resolution images for both the deep Carboniferous and Permian successions are revealed. In particular, both the mid-Carboniferous and Late Permian-earliest Triassic extensional phases are characterized by widespread NE-SW oriented normal faults that are mostly westward dipping. Although Triassic is mostly considered as a tectonically stable period in the Barents Sea, in the southern Stappen High there is clear identification of a localised depocentre (named herein “Intra Stappen Basin”) where syn-tectonic geometries characterize the upper Paleozoic and Triassic deposits. Regional correlation to Middle and Upper Triassic outcrops in southwestern Svalbard reveals possible progradation from a west-northwest Northeast Greenland provenance as a western sediment source area during the Triassic, in addition to the well-known eastern sediment source area. Thin but distinct Jurassic sequences are expected to be present on Stappen High associated with prominent regional NW-SE extension throughout Late Jurassic that culminated during the earliest Cretaceous. Furthermore, structural and stratigraphic relations are observed within the study area that clearly indicate a distinct early Aptian rift phase with increasing evidence for its occurrence in the southwestern Barents Sea. Upper Cretaceous sequences bounded by major low-angle west-dipping detachment faults are observed in southwest Stappen High. During early Cenozoic, the study area was located at the proximity of the paleo-coastline and paleo-shelf edge for both Paleocene and Eocene gravity mass-waste deposits. These are most probably related to a progressively evolving steep bathymetric gradient between the developing margin, mainly towards the west and to the south, and the uplifted Stappen High.  相似文献

Geochemical and detrital zircon U-Pb dating data for drilled sediments from the Baiyun deepwater area of the northern South China Sea demonstrate a change of sedimentary sources from the Oligocene to the Miocene.Zircon ages of the pre-rift Eocene sequences are dominated by Yanshanian ages with various peak values(110–115 Ma for U1435 and L21; 150 Ma for H1), indicating local sediment supply from the pre-existing Mesozoic magmatic belt. For the Oligocene sediments in the northern part of the basin, the rare earth elements show different distribution characteristics, indicating sediment supply from the paleo-Zhujiang River(Pearl River), as also confirmed by the multimodal zircon age spectra of the Lower Oligocene strata in Well X28. By contrast, a positive Eu anomaly characterizes sediments from the western and southern parts of the basin, indicating potential provenances from intermediate to basic volcanic rock materials. The Baiyun Movement at the end of the Oligocene contributed to a large-scale subsidence in the deepwater area and also a northward retreat of continental shelf break, leading to deepening depositional environment in the basin. As a result, all the detrital zircon ages of the Upper Oligocene strata from Wells X28, L13, and L21 share a similar distribution, implying the possible control of a common source like the Zhujiang River. During the Miocene, whereas sediments in the northern area were mainly sourced from the Zhujiang River Delta, and those in the southern deepwater area continued to be affected by basic volcanic activities, the Dongsha Uplift could have contributed as the main source to the eastern area.  相似文献

Taiwan Island's outcropping strata can provide important insights into the sedimentary environment and source development of the southeast China margin. This research is based on the Eocene–Miocene strata of the Tsukeng area in the central Western Foothills, northeast shoreline of Taiwan Island and two sites of the East China Sea Shelf Basin(ECSSB), using petrology and detrital zircon U-Pb age for the analysis. Results show that central and northeast Taiwan Island experienced a transformation from continental to marine facies during the Eocene–Miocene, and the sandstone maturity changed with time. Source analysis shows that sediments from the Eocene–early Oligocene strata mainly originated from near-source Mesozoic rocks, whose zircon age is consistent with the igneous rock in the surrounding area and coastal Cathaysia, showing 120 Ma and 230 Ma peaks in the age spectrum diagram. Since the late Oligocene, peaks of 900 Ma and 1 800 Ma are seen, indicating that deposition of matter from the old block began. The sediments could be a mixture of the surrounding Mesozoic volcanic and fewer pre-Cambrian rocks sourced from the coastal river and sporadic old basement in the ECSSB instead of longdistance transportation.  相似文献

物源精细示踪是当前单矿物颗粒微区分析技术运用的重要领域。长江流域因面积巨大、源岩构成与分布非常复杂,充分掌握流域内岩体锆石U-Pb年龄等微区分析信息成为精细物源示踪的关键。在系统搜集与分析近十年来发表的长江流域内岩体锆石U-Pb年龄和Hf同位素组成的数据资料,结合区域地质各类岩体岩性、年龄和面积调查的新成果,认为只有少量锆石可直接根据特定年龄峰值进行物源判别,如3 000 Ma的3组锆石分别源自长江上游的昌都地块与金沙江缝合带、扬子地块北缘的峨眉山玄武岩省和三峡地区的崆岭群;联用锆石U-Pb年龄与εHf (t)值可进一步提高物源判别精度;但需注意再旋回的沉积锆石对沉积物源判别的影响。  相似文献
