The elemental shell chemistry of two freshwater snails, Viviparus diluvianus (Kunth) and Valvata piscinalis (Müller) was studied for palaeoenvironmental purposes. The shells were collected from lake sediments from five Holsteinian (Marine Isotope Stage 11) sites in eastern Poland (Ossówka, Hrud II, Roskosz, Ortel Królewski and Szymanowo) and analysed for Ca, Mg, Sr, Mn and Fe. The Fe/Mn molar ratio was used as a redox indicator, with lower values (and high Mn concentrations) pointing to suboxic conditions. These occurred in the beginning of the Taxus zone and during the transition between the Taxus and Pinus‐Larix zones at Ortel Królewski, and in the Holsteinian thermal maximum (CarpinusAbies zone) at Roskosz Lake. Strongly reducing conditions, indicated by increased Fe and Fe/Mn values, prevailed at Ortel Królewski palaeolake in the middle of the Taxus zone, in the Pinus‐Larix zone and in the upper part of the Roskosz sequence. Indicators of anoxia correlate with eutrophic conditions, enhanced productivity and oxygen consumption due to organic matter decay. The most distinct environmental changes in the records are comparable to other central and northern European records and to the main climatic oscillations during the Holsteinian, inferred from palynological, malacological and isotopic data.  相似文献

Sediments of palaeolakes located in eastern Poland represent the Holsteinian (Mazovian) Interglacial, which corresponds to the Marine Isotope Stage 11 (MIS 11). Some of these sediments are characterized by an extremely rich occurrence of mollusc shells. A total of 1795 specimens of the snail Viviparus diluvianus were measured from 5 samples collected from a succession of lake deposits at Ortel Krolewski. The sample from the lowermost part of the succession (2.5 m) represents the Picea-Alnus pollen zone of the Holsteinian Interglacial. Samples from 2.0, 1.5, 1.0m are related to the Taxus Zone. Samples collected from the uppermost part of the succession (0.5 m) correspond to the Pinus Zone representing the so-called intra-interglacial cooling. The population of V. diluvianus displays variability correlated with climatic changes. The population from the Taxus Zone is characterized by a higher content of mature forms compared to the earlier population from the Picea-Alnus Zone. Because the mature individuals are slimmer than the juvenile forms, their last whorl is relatively lower and the aperture relatively smaller. In populations from the Taxus Zone the mean slimness of the shell therefore increases, followed by a decrease in the mean relative height of the last whorl and the mean relative aperture height.  相似文献

The groundwater flow pattern of the western part of the Guarani Aquifer System (GAS), Brazil, is characterized by three regional recharge areas in the north, and a potentiometric divide in the south, which trends north–south approximately. Groundwater flow is radial from these regional recharge areas toward the center of Paraná Sedimentary Basin and toward the western outcrop areas at the border of the Pantanal Matogrossense, because of the potentiometric divide. The isotopic composition of GAS groundwater leads to understanding the paleoclimatic conditions in the regional recharge areas. The δ18O and δ2H isotopic ratios of GAS groundwaters vary, respectively, from –9.1 to –4.8‰ V-SMOW and –58.4 to –21.7‰ V-SMOW. In the recharge zones, enriched δ18O values are observed, while in the confined zone lighter δ18O values are observed. These suggest that climatic conditions were 10°C cooler than the present during the recharge of these waters. The δ13C ratios in groundwater of GAS, in the study area, vary from –19.5 to –6.5‰ VPDB, increasing along the regional flow lines toward the confined zone. This variation is related to dissolution of carbonate cement in the sandstones.  相似文献

The environmental conditions of the Szczecin Bay, which existed prior to Szczecin Lagoon, have been reconstructed on the basis of the stable carbon and oxygen isotope (18O and 13C) analysis and radiocarbon dates obtained for subfossil shells of Cerastoderma (Cardium) glaucum. The shells in the collected core were well preserved in their life positions, representing a geochemical record of past temperature variation over the middle Holocene. Three major periods with different thermal conditions have been distinguished in the interval ~ 6000–4300 cal yr BP, when the important Littorina regional transgression took place. During the first period, 6000–5250 cal yr BP, water temperature decreased by 1.4°C, and then remained constant over the second period (5250–4750 cal yr BP). In contrast, during the third period (4750–4300 cal yr BP) both δ-values were highly variable and the mean summer temperature (March–November) increased by about 3.5°C. During first two periods, δ18O and δ13C were significantly correlated, indicating stability of the environmental conditions.  相似文献

Brachiopod shells are widely used as an archive to reconstruct elemental and isotopic composition of seawater. Studies, focused on oxygen and carbon isotopes over the last decades, are increasingly extending to the emerging calcium isotope system. To date, only little attention has been paid to test the reliability of fossil brachiopods on their modern counterparts. In this context, the present study investigates two modern brachiopods, Terebratulina septentrionalis (eastern Canada, 5–30 m depth, 7.1 °C seasonal temperature variation, two-layer shell) and Gryphus vitreus (northern Mediterranean, 200 m depth, constant all-year round temperature, three-layer shell). Both species were sampled along the ontogenetic growth direction and calcium, oxygen, and carbon isotopes as well as elemental concentration were measured. Calcium isotopes were analyzed on TIMS. The elemental composition was analyzed by LA-ICP-MS and ICP-AES.The results indicate an intra-specimen δ44/40Ca variation ranging from 0.16 to 0.33‰, pointing to a fairly homogenous distribution of calcium isotopes in brachiopod shells. However, in the light of the suggested 0.7‰ increase in calcium isotopes over the Phanerozoic such intra-specimen variations constrain ocean reconstruction. δ44/40Ca values of T. septentrionalis do not seem to be affected by growth rate. Calcium isotopic values of G. vitreus are heavy in the central part of the shell and trend towards lighter values in peripheral areas approaching the maximum isotopic composition of T. septentrionalis. The maximum inter-species δ44/40Ca difference of 0.62‰ between T. septentrionalis and G. vitreus indicates that care should be taken when using different taxa, species with different strontium content or brachiopods with specialized shell structure, such as G. vitreus, for ocean water reconstruction in terms of Ca isotopic composition. T. septentrionalis may record Ca isotopic fractionation related to seasonal seawater temperature variations in its shell but this is difficult to resolve at the current analytical precision. Average δ18O-derived temperatures of the two investigated species are close to on-site measured temperatures.  相似文献

The oxygen isotopic composition of Stenomelania gastropod shells was investigated to reconstruct Holocene palaeoclimate change at Lake Kutubu in the southern highlands of Papua New Guinea. Oxygen isotope (δ18O) values recorded in aquatic gastropod shells change according to ambient water δ18O values and temperature. The gastropod shells appear to form in oxygen isotopic equilibrium with the surrounding water and record a shift in average shell oxygen isotopic composition through time, probably as a result of warmer/wetter conditions at ca. 600–900 and 5900–6200 cal a bp. Shorter term fluctuations in oxygen isotope values were also identified and may relate to changes in the intensity or source of rainfall. Further δ18O analyses of gastropod shells or other carbonate proxies found in the Lake Kutubu sediments are warranted. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Given the growing interest in carbonate deposits from polar regions as paleoclimatic proxies, this review paper first provides a classification of the various types of cold-climate carbonate precipitates followed by a summary of the 13C and 18O composition of the carbonate deposits and parent water from which the carbonates precipitated. The cold-climate carbonate precipitates were classified into three broad categories: powders, crusts and speleothem. The carbonate powders include those that precipitated in relation to aufeis aggradation (cryogenic aufeis calcite) and in relation to the growth of various annual/perennial ice formations in freezing caves (cryptocrystalline calcite and calcite pearls). The carbonate crusts can be further subdivided based on their lithic environment; those that precipitated on the upper surface of bedrock/clasts (i.e. subglacially precipitated calcite and evaporative calcite crusts); those that are located on the underside of clasts (i.e. pedogenic carbonates); and those that precipitated in rock outcrop fissures (i.e. endostromatolites). The cold-climate carbonate precipitates have a highly variable isotopic composition with δ18O values ranging between −6.5‰ and 28‰ VSMOW and δ13C values in the −10–20‰ VPDB range. However, each type of carbonate precipitates has a specific δ13C and δ18O range, suggesting that their environmental setting and the mechanism by which they formed controls their 13C and 18O signature. It was found that carbonate deposits that precipitated under equilibrium physico-chemical conditions had a δ13C value that is in equilibrium with that of the parent water, while its δ18O composition was more variable, as it is in part controlled by the temperature of reaction and by the δ18O and calcite saturation state of the parent water. By contrast, the δ18O composition of biologically precipitated carbonate deposits (endostromatolites) reflect that of the parent water, while its δ13C composition was enriched over that of the parent water due to bacterial methanogenesis. In the case of kinetically precipitated carbonate deposits, the δ18O and δ13C values are out-of-equilibrium relative to that of the parent water due to the faster rate of reaction.  相似文献

Stable isotope characterization of porewater, and dissolved species, in mudrocks and argillaceous rocks is notoriously difficult. Techniques based on physical or chemical extraction of porewater can generate significant analytical artefacts. The authors report a novel, simple approach to determine the δ18O of porewater and δ13C of dissolved C in argillites. The method uses core samples placed in specifically-designed outgassing cells, sealed shortly after drilling and stored in well-controlled conditions. After 1–2 months, CO2 naturally outgassed by argillite porewater is collected, purified and analyzed for C and O isotopes. Porewater δ18O and dissolved C δ13C are calculated from CO2 isotope data using appropriate fractionation factors. This methodology was successfully applied to the Callovo-Oxfordian argillites from Bure (eastern Paris Basin, France) and the Opalinus Clay formation from Mont Terri (Switzerland). In both clay formations, results indicate that porewater is meteoric and dissolved C is of marine origin. The main advantage of the approach is that it does not induce any major physical or chemical disturbance to the clay–water system investigated. Further testing on argillaceous rocks of variable composition and organic content is needed to assess extent of applicability.  相似文献

Benthic foraminifera and stable isotopes analyses revealed changes emerging in the paleoceanographic scenery in the Paratethys. The percentage of inbenthic, oxyphylic taxa and diversity in the benthic foraminiferal assemblage showed increasing food supply (organic matter), decreasing oxygen level and growing stress on the sea floor. Oxygen isotopes measured in planktonic and benthic foraminifera pointed to strengthening stratification during the Badenian period. The carbon isotopes indicated intensified accumulation of light marine organic matter. This increasing stratification trend is especially pronounced by Late Badenian (13.5–13 Ma) when surface water oxygen isotope values are rather negative. A simple two-layer circulation model was worked out for the Badenian Paratethys explaining these characteristic environmental changes. An antiestuarine (lagoonal) circulation is assumed for the Central Paratethys during the Early (16.4–15 Ma) and mid Badenian (15–13.5 Ma). The mid Badenian period of time comprises the short episode of evaporite formation in the Carpathian Foredeep and the Transylvanian Basin. Evidence presented here supported a reversal of circulation to estuarine type after the deposition of salts by Late Badenian (13.5–13 Ma). The Early Badenian antiestuarine circulation is suggested to associate with the high temperatures of the Mid-Miocene Climatic Optimum, and the Late Badenian estuarine circulation with the cooler period following it.  相似文献

This paper deals with chemical and isotope analyses of 21 springs, which were monitored 3 times in the course of 2001; the monitoring program was focused on the groundwater of the Gran Sasso carbonate karst aquifer (Central Italy), typical of the mountainous Mediterranean area.Based on the hydrogeological setting of the study area, 6 groups of springs with different groundwater circulation patterns were distinguished. The hydrogeochemistry of their main components provided additional information about groundwater flowpaths, confirming the proposed classification. The spatial distribution of their ion concentrations validated the assumptions underlying the hydrogeological conceptual model, showing diverging groundwater flowpaths from the core to the boundaries of the aquifer. Geochemical modelling and saturation index computation elucidated water–carbonate rock interaction, contribution by alluvial aquifers at the karst aquifer boundaries, as well as impacts of human activities. The analysis of 18O/16O and 2H/H values and their spatial distribution in the aquifer substantiated the hydrogeology-based classification of 6 groups of springs, making it possible to trace back groundwater recharge areas based on mean isotope elevations; the latter were calculated by using two rain monitoring stations. 87Sr/86Sr analyses showed seasonal changes in many springs: in winter–spring, the changes are due to inflow of new recharge water, infiltrating into younger rocks and thus increasing 87Sr/86Sr values; in summer–autumn, when there is no recharge and spring discharge declines, changes are due to base flow groundwater circulating in more ancient rocks, with a subsequent drop in 87Sr/86Sr values. The results of this study stress the contribution that spatio-temporal isotope monitoring can give to the definition of groundwater flowpaths and hydrodynamics in fissured and karst aquifers, taking into account their hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical setting.  相似文献

The world-class Idrija mercury deposit (western Slovenia) is hosted by highly deformed Permocarboniferous to Middle Triassic sedimentary rocks within a complex tectonic structure at the transition between the External Dinarides and the Southern Alps. Concordant and discordant mineralization formed concomitant with Middle Triassic bimodal volcanism in an aborted rift. A multiple isotopic (C, O, S) investigation of host rocks and ore minerals was performed to put constraints on the source and composition of the fluid, and the hydrothermal alteration. The distributions of the 13C and 18O values of host and gangue carbonates are indicative of a fracture-controlled hydrothermal system, with locally high fluid-rock ratios. Quantitative modeling of the 13C and 18O covariation for host carbonates during temperature dependent fluid-rock interaction, and concomitant precipitation of void-filling dolomites points to a slightly acidic hydrothermal fluid (13C–4 and 18O+10), which most likely evolved during isotopic exchange with carbonates under low fluid/rock ratios. The 34S values of hydrothermal and sedimentary sulfur minerals were used to re-evaluate the previously proposed magmatic and evaporitic sulfur sources for the mineralization, and to assess the importance of other possible sulfur sources such as the contemporaneous seawater sulfate, sedimentary pyrite, and organic sulfur compounds. The 34S values of the sulfides show a large variation at deposit down to hand-specimen scale. They range for cinnabar and pyrite from –19.1 to +22.8, and from –22.4 to +59.6, respectively, suggesting mixing of sulfur from different sources. The peak of 34S values of cinnabar and pyrite close to 0 is compatible with ore sulfur derived dominantly from a magmatic fluid and/or from hydrothermal leaching of basement rocks. The similar stratigraphic trends of the 34S values of both cinnabar and pyrite suggest a minor contribution of sedimentary sulfur (pyrite and organic sulfur) to the ore formation. Some of the positive 34S values are probably derived from thermochemical reduction of evaporitic and contemporaneous seawater sulfates.Editorial handling: P. Lattanzi  相似文献

18O/16O, 34S/32S, and D/H ratios as well as vacuum-fusion H2O+ contents were measured for late Tertiary volcanic basaltic rocks ranging in composition from quartz tholeiites and alkali olivine basalts to melilite-bearing olivine nephelinites and for peridotite xenoliths from the Northern Hessian Depression of W.-Germany. Measured Oisotope ratios in both basalts and peridotites were corrected for variable degree of post-eruption, secondary alteration. The ranges and means of corrected 18O values ( SMOW) for the North Hessian lavas and peridotites are: (i) 8 tholeiites: ca. +6.1 to +7.3 (¯x=+6.6), (ii) 21 alkali olivine basalts: ca. +5.4 to +7.6 (¯x=+6.5), (iii) 19 nepheline basanites, limburgites, and olivine nephelinites: ca. +5.3 to +8.0 (¯x=+6.6), and (iv) 23 peridotites: +5.1 to 7.0 (¯x+6.0). The 34S values ( CDT) for the tholeiites range from –0.6 to +1.4 (¯x=–0.03) and for the alkali basalts range from +0.9 to +8.6 (¯x=+2.5). The approximate D value ( SMOW) of the pristine basalts and peridotites is estimated to have been ca. –90The quartz tholeiites appear to have had a different genetic history than the alkali basalts. Supported by chemical evidence, the 18O and 87Sr enrichment observed in the tholeiites suggests low crustal contamination of parental olivine tholeiite melts, derived from a depleted mantle source. The contamination by crustal partial melts may have occurred in granulitic lower crust during differentiation. By contrast the high 18O and 34S values observed for the alkali basalts and peridotites are best explained in terms of metasomatic alteration of the mantle source region by fluids enriched in 18O, K, and incompatible trace elements prior to partial melting. The 18O-K relationships for the peridotites indicate that the mantle beneath the Northern Hessian Depression has had a complex stable isotope history involving at least two distinct metasomatic events. The earlier event involved a CO2-rich fluid which modified 18O/16O ratios without altering the mineralogical character of the mantle peridotite. The second event involved an aqueous fluid, which mainly altered the clinopyroxene and introduced phlogopite (plus possibly apatite, carbonate, and amphibole). It superimposed an 18O and K enrichment upon a previously altered mantle.  相似文献

The Rocabruna and Coll de Pal barite deposits, located in the eastern Pyrenees of Spain, fill karstic cavities within carbonate rocks of Cambrian and Devonian age, respectively. The deposits contain barite, chalcopyrite, tetrahedrite, pyrite and minor sphalerite and galena with saddle dolomite and quartz as gangue. Fluid inclusion data from Coll de Pal quartz and dolomite indicate that the mineralizing fluid was a polysaline CaCl2-rich brine, with temperatures between 125 and 150 °C. C and O isotopic compositions of carbonates in both deposits are consistent with a progressive increase in temperature during deposition. The 34S values of barite, which range from 14.2 to 15.9‰ in Coll de Pal, and from 13.9 to 19.3‰ in Rocabruna, together with 87Sr/86Sr ratios ranging from 0.7118 to 0.7168 in Rocabruna, and from 0.7115 to 0.7136 in Coll de Pal, indicate two different fluid sources. We propose that these deposits formed as a result of mixing between a Ba-rich, sulfate-poor hot fluid, and sulfate-rich solutions of surficial origin. The different Sr isotope ratios in the deposits indicate that the hot Ba-rich fluids involved in each deposit were equilibrated with different rock types (carbonates and shales), in agreement with the geology of the two areas. This study presents the results of TOC/TN (C/N) ratio, δ13C and δ15N analyses of lake sedimentary organic matter (OM) from the Hedong section, western Guangdong Province in south China, with the objective to reveal the history of hydrological and ecological variations in the region influenced by both the Indian summer monsoon (ISM) and East Asian summer monsoon (EASM). Variations in δ13C and δ15N of sedimentary OM may be closely related to past climatic conditions, which results in variations in surface runoff, lake level, allochthonous and autochthonous sources of OM, and lake productivity. Based on the interpretation of these proxies, four periods, i.e. 4370–4100, 3700–2900, 2400–2100 and 1900–900 cal. a BP, are characterized by low lake level, weakened surface runoff and deteriorated status of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, whereas the periods 4100–3700, 2900–2400, 2100–1900 and 900–600 cal. a BP are dominated by high lake level, strengthened surface runoff, and flourishing terrestrial and aquatic plants. A remarkable positive correlation between the δ13C values of the section and the ENSO number record obtained from the tropical Pacific implies that the impact of the ISM is greater than that of the EASM in the study area. The abnormal correspondence between the δ13C and solar activity reconstructed from 10Be and 14C records in GRIP ice‐core occurred from 1500–800 and particularly from 4200–4000 cal. a BP, suggesting that these two cool and dry intervals may be caused by stronger volcanic activities that are recorded in the GISP2 and Dome C ice‐cores. This study reveals that changes in solar insolation and solar activity, as well as changes in oceanic–atmospheric circulation (e.g. the ENSO intensity) and intensive volcano eruptions may have exerted influence on late Holocene climate variability in the study area.  相似文献

<正>In the last ten years, with important discoveries from oil and gas exploration in the Dabashan foreland depression belt in the borderland between Shanxi and Sichuan provinces, the relationship between the formation and evolution of,and hydrocarbon accumulation in,this foreland thrust belt from the viewpoint of basin and oil and gas exploration has been studied. At the same time, there has been little research on the origin of fluids within the belt.Based on geochemical system analysis including Z values denoting salinity and research onδ~(13)C,δ~(18)O and ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr isotopes in the host rocks and veins, the origin of paleofluids in the foreland thrust belt is considered. There are four principal kinds of paleofluid, including deep mantle-derived,sedimentary,mixed and meteoric. For the deep mantle-derived fluid,theδ~(13)C is generally less than -5.0‰PDB,δ~(18)O less than -10.0‰PDB,Z value less than 110 and ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr less than 0.70600;the sedimentary fluid is mainly marine carbonatederived, with theδ~(13)C generally more than -2.0‰PDB,δ~(18)O less than -10.0‰PDB,Z value more than 120 and ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr ranging from 0.70800 to 0.71000;the mixed fluid consists mainly of marine carbonate fluid(including possibly a little mantle-derived fluid or meteoric water),with theδ~(13)C generally ranging from -2.0‰to -8.0‰PDB,δ~(18)O from -10.0‰to -18.0‰PDB,Z value from 105 to 120 and ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr from 0.70800 to 0.71000;the atmospheric fluid consists mainly of meteoric water, with theδ~(13)C generally ranging from 0.0‰to -10.0‰PDB,δ~(18)O less than -8.0‰PDB,Z value less than 110 and ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr more than 0.71000.The Chengkou fault belt encompasses the most complex origins, including all four types of paleofluid;the Zhenba and Pingba fault belts and stable areas contain a simple paleofluid mainly of sedimentary type;the Jimingsi fault belt contains mainly sedimentary and mixed fluids, both consisting of sedimentary fluid and meteoric water.Jurassic rocks of the foreland depression belt contain mainly meteoric fluid.  相似文献

Alluvial fans and shallow carbonate lakes interfered in the Teruel half‐graben during the Late Miocene–Pliocene. Tectonic influence is recorded in alluvial and lacustrine–palustrine successions, with long‐term climate changes being recorded in detail in the isotopic signatures of carbonates. Episodes of tectonic activity induced alluvial fan progradation and lake retraction in the whole basin. Three lacustrine stages have been identified, which support the idea that climate also exerted an important control on sedimentation. The transition between stages 1 and 2 occurred during a tectonically calm episode due to an increase in aridity in the Early Turolian; small fans with source areas next to the lake margin prograded, inducing lake‐shore retraction. The transition from stage 2 to 3 was caused by the superimposition of increasing tectonic activity and aridity effects. Our study demonstrates that discrimination of allogenic factors controlling sedimentation in continental closed basins is possible using sequence stratigraphy in combination with other techniques such as geochemistry of carbonates.  相似文献

Marine sediments from the Integrated Ocean Drilling Project (IODP) Site U1314 (56.36°N, 27.88°W), in the subpolar North Atlantic, were studied for their planktonic foraminifera, calcium carbonate content, and Neogloboqudrina pachyderma sinistral (sin.) δ13C records in order to reconstruct surface and intermediate conditions in this region during the Mid‐Pleistocene Transition (MPT). Variations in the palaeoceanography and regional dynamics of the Arctic Front were estimated by comparing CaCO3 content, planktonic foraminiferal species abundances, carbon isotopes and ice‐rafted debris (IRD) data from Site U1314 with published data from other North Atlantic sites. Site U1314 exhibited high abundances of the polar planktonic foraminifera N. pachyderma sin. and low CaCO3 content until Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 26, indicating a relatively southeastward position of the Arctic Front (AF) and penetration of colder and low‐salinity surface arctic water‐masses. Changing conditions after MIS 25, with oscillations in the position of the AF, caused an increase in the northward export of the warmer North Atlantic Current (NAC), indicated by greater abundances of non‐polar planktonic foraminifera and higher CaCO3. The N. pachyderma sin. δ13C data indicate good ventilation of the upper part of the intermediate water layer in the eastern North Atlantic during both glacial and interglacial stages, except during Terminations 24/23, 22/21 and 20/1. In addition, for N. pachyderma (sin.) we distinguished two morphotypes: non‐encrusted and heavily encrusted test. Results indicate that increases in the encrusted morphotype and lower planktonic foraminiferal diversity are related to the intensification of glacial conditions (lower sea‐surface temperatures, sea‐ice formation) during MIS 22 and 20.  相似文献

The Early Devonian Gumeshevo deposit is one of the largest ore objects pertaining to the dioritic model of the porphyry copper system paragenetically related to the low-K quartz diorite island-arc complex. The (87Sr/86Sr)t and (ɛNd)t of quartz diorite calculated for t = 390 Ma are 0.7038–0.7045 and 5.0–5.1, respectively, testifying to a large contribution of the mantle component to the composition of this rock. The contents of typomorphic trace elements (ppm) are as follows: 30–48 REE sum, 5–10 Rb, 9–15 Y, and 1–2 Nb. The REE pattern is devoid of Eu anomaly. Endoskarn of low-temperature and highly oxidized amphibole-epidote-garnet facies is surrounded by the outer epidosite zone. Widespread retrograde metasomatism is expressed in replacement of exoskarn and marble with silicate (chlorite, talc, tremolite)-magnetite-quartz-carbonate mineral assemblage. The 87Sr/86Sr ratios of epidote in endoskarn and carbonate in retrograde metasomatic rocks (0.7054–0.7058 and 0.7053–0.7065, respectively) are intermediate between the Sr isotope ratios of quartz dioritic rocks and marble (87Sr/86Sr = 0.70784 ± 2). Isotopic parameters of the fluid equilibrated with silicates of skarn and retrograde metasomatic rocks replacing exoskarn at 400°C are δ18O = +7.4 to +8.5‰ and δD = −49 to −61‰ (relative to SMOW). The δ13C and δ18O of carbonates in retrograde metasomatic rocks after marble are −5.3 to +0.6 (relative to PDB) and +13.0 to +20.2% (relative to SMOW), respectively. Sulfidation completes metasomatism, nonuniformly superimposed on all metasomatic rocks and marbles with formation of orebodies, including massive sulfide ore. The δ34S of sulfides is 0 to 2‰ (relative to CDT);87Sr/86Sr of calcite from the late calcite-pyrite assemblage replacing marble is 0.704134 ± 6. The δ13C and 87Sr/86Sr of postore veined carbonates correlate positively (r = 0.98; n = 6). The regression line extends to the marble field. Its opposite end corresponds to magmatic (in terms of Bowman, 1998b) calcite with minimal δ13C, δ18O, and 87Sr/86Sr values (−6.9 ‰, +6.7‰, and 0.70378 ± 4, respectively). The aforementioned isotopic data show that magmatic fluid was supplied during all stages of mineral formation and interacted with marble and other rocks, changing its Sr, C, and O isotopic compositions. This confirms the earlier established redistribution of major elements and REE in the process of metasomatism. A contribution of meteoric and metamorphic water is often established in quartz from postore veins.  相似文献
