The general-relativistic equations of hydrodynamics for a nonideal fluid are derived in the modified Lagrangian form. Together with the zeroth and first moment equations of radiative transfer derived by Morita and Kaneko (1986), the equations provide a complete set of the modified Lagrangian equations of radiation hydrodynamics. The equations of hydrodynamics are specialized for a thermally conducting, Newtonian viscous fluid in the modified Lagrangian form, which are the generalization of the specialrelativistic equations of hydrodynamics derived by Greenberg (1975).  相似文献

The basic integro-differential equation is subjected to a one-sided finite Laplace transform to obtain linear integral equations of angular distribution of bounding faces. These linear integral equations have been transformed into linear singular integral equations which have been solved exactly to get the emergent distributions from the bounding faces by the theory of linear singular operators. Some solutions of linear singular integral equations have also been derived for future use in radiative transfer problems.  相似文献

The three-dimensional inverse problem is investigated. A quasi-linear system of partial differential equations is derived for the determination of the potential. The solution of this system is studied by a method of differential geometry. A necessary condition for the solution is derived and the determination of the potential is reduced to algebraic equations written in vectorial form. A few examples are also given.  相似文献

A set of differential equations is derived that has a number of advantages in special perturbation work. In particular, the equations remain valid for all values of the orbital eccentricity and inclination including zero. They are therefore applicable to parabolic- and hyperbolic-type orbits as well as elliptic-type; a scheme for use when the orbit is rectilinear or nearly so is provided. The equations are also much simpler in form than the Lagrange planetary equations and the transformations of the osculating elements to and from the rectangular coordinates are straightforward.  相似文献

Analytic expressions are derived for the perturbation of planetary orbits due to a thick constant density asteroid belt. The derivations include extensions and adaptations of Plakhov's analytic expressions for the perturbations in five of the orbital elements for closed orbits around Saturn's rings. The equations of Plakhov are modified to include the effect of ring thickness and additional equations are derived for the perturbations in the sixth orbital element, the mean anomaly. The gravitational potential and orbital perturbations are derived for the asteroid belt with and without thickness, and for a hoop approximation to the belt. The procedures are also applicable to Saturn's rings and the newly discovered rings of Uranus. The effects of the asteroid belt thickness on the gravitational potential coefficients and the orbital motions are demonstrated. Comparisons between the Mars orbital perturbations obtained using the analytic expressions and those obtained using numerical integration are discussed. The effects of the asteroid belt on the Earth based ranging to Mars are also demonstrated.  相似文献

In this paper the first variational equations of motion about the triangular points in the elliptic restricted problem are investigated by the perturbation theories of Hori and Deprit, which are based on Lie transforms, and by taking the mean equations used by Grebenikov as our upperturbed Hamiltonian system instead of the first variational equations in the circular restricted problem. We are able to remove the explicit dependence of transformed Hamiltonian on the true anomaly by a canonical transformation. The general solution of the equations of motion which are derived from the transformed Hamiltonian including all the constant terms of any order in eccentricity and up to the periodic terms of second order in eccentricity of the primaries is given.  相似文献

On the planar motion in the full two-body problem with inertial symmetry   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Relative motion of binary asteroids, modeled as the full two-body planar problem, is studied, taking into account the shape and mass distribution of the bodies. Using the Lagrangian approach, the equations governing the motion are derived. The resulting system of four equations is nonlinear and coupled. These equations are solved numerically. In the particular case where the bodies have inertial symmetry, these equations can be reduced to a single equation, with small nonlinearity. The method of multiple scales is used to obtain a first-order solution for the reduced nonlinear equation. The solution is shown to be sufficient when compared with the numerical solution. Numerical results are provided for different example cases, including truncated-cone-shaped and peanut-shaped bodies.  相似文献

Circumstellar dust particles can be captured in a mean-motion resonance (MMR) with a planet and simultaneously be affected by non-gravitational effects. It is possible to describe the secular variations of a particle orbit in the MMR analytically using averaged resonant equations. We derive the averaged resonant equations from the equations of motion in near-canonical form. The secular variations of the particle orbit depending on the orientation of the orbit in space are taken into account. The averaged resonant equations can be derived/confirmed also from Lagrange’s planetary equations. We apply the derived theory to the case when the non-gravitational effects are the Poynting–Robertson effect, the radial stellar wind, and an interstellar wind. The analytical and numerical results obtained are in excellent agreement. We found that the types of orbits correspond to libration centers of the conservative problem. The averaged resonant equations can lead to a system of equations which holds for stationary points in a subset of resonant variables. Using this system we show analytically that for the considered non-gravitational effects, all stationary points should correspond to orbits which are stationary in interplanetary space after an averaging over a synodic period. In an exact resonance, the stationary orbits are stable. The stability is achieved by a periodic repetition of the evolution during the synodic period. Numerical solutions of this system show that there are no stationary orbits for either the exact or non-exact resonances.  相似文献

The half-century old idea of Infeld to use the variational principle of the general relativity field equations is reminded to show that the commonly employed EIH (Einstein–Infeld–Hoffman) equations of motion may be derived from the linearized (weak-field) metric alone. Based on it, the linearized metric might be sufficient for post-Newtonian celestial mechanics and astrometry enabling one to derive the post-Newtonian equations of motion and rotation of celestial bodies as well as the post-Newtonian equations of light propagation within the general relativity framework.  相似文献

The secular effect of YORP torque on the rotational dynamics of an asteroid in non-principal axis rotation is studied. The general rotational equations of motion are derived and approximated with an illumination function expanded up to second order. The resulting equations of motion can be averaged over the fast rotation angles to yield secular equations for the angular momentum, dynamic inertia and obliquity. We study the properties of these secular equations and compare results to previous research. Finally, an application to several real asteroid shapes is made, in particular we study the predicted rotational dynamics of the asteroid Toutatis, which is known to be in a non-principal axis state.  相似文献

The transfer equations for the Stokes parameters, as derived under the assumption of LTE and in the general case of anomalous Zeeman multiplet, are solved by a perturbative method that reduces the system of four coupled linear differential equations to an iterative series of well known linear differential equations. The perturbation parameter turns out to be of the order of magnitude of the ratio of the Larmor frequency to the line Doppler half-width, so that the method appears to be particularly suitable for small magnetic fields. Some qualitative results on the importance of Faraday rotation and the orders of magnitude of the line profiles of the Stokes parameters are obtained.  相似文献

A general treatment of the transfer of polarized radiation in spectral lines assuming a Rayleigh phase function and a general law of frequency redistribution is derived. It is shown how nine families of coupled integral equations for the moments of the radiation field arise which are necessary to fully describe the state of polarization of the emergent radiation from a plane-parallel, semi-infinite atmosphere. The special case of angle independent redistribution functions is derived from the general formalism, and it is shown how the nine families of integral equations reduce to the six linearly independent integral equations derived by Collins (1972). To serve as a test of the formulation, solutions for isothermal atmospheres are given.  相似文献

Equilibrium conditions for a mutually attracting general mass distribution and point mass are derived and their stability computed. The equilibrium conditions can be reduced to six equations in six unknowns, plus the existence of four integrals of motion consisting of the total angular momentum and energy of the system. The equilibrium conditions are further reduced to two independent equations, and their theoretical properties are studied. We derive three distinct conditions for a relative equilibrium which can be used to derive robust algorithms for solving these problems for non-symmetric gravity fields: a set of necessary conditions, a set of sufficient conditions, and a set of necessary and sufficient conditions. Each of these conditions is well suited for the computation of certain classes of equilibria. These equations are solved for non-symmetric gravity fields of interest, using a real asteroid shape model for the general gravity fields. Explicit conditions for the spectral and energetic stability of the resulting equilibria are also derived and computed for the shape of interest.  相似文献

Linear singular integral equations are derived for polarized radiation fields in semi infinite and finite plane parallel atmospheres. An arbitrary phase matrix and any distribution of primary sources are assumed. The integral equations together with appropriate sets of linear constraints arise from functional relations derived by means of CASE 's eigenfunctions and their full range completeness and orthogonality. The emergent radiation is described by half range singular integral equations, whereas the STOKES vector of the inner radiation field obeys full range integral equations depending on the emergent radiation.  相似文献

This paper calls into question the validity of the well-known formulae for the perturbations in the Keplerian elements, over one revolution of an orbit, for the motion of a drag-perturbed artificial satellite. These formulae are derived from Gauss's form of the planetary equations, by averaging over a single revolution of the orbit, and using the eccentric anomaly as the independent variable. It is shown that for light balloon-type satellites in near-circular orbits neither the eccentric anomaly nor the true longitude is a suitable choice of independent variable for the averaging procedure. Under these circumstances, it would seem that simple formulae for the variations in the elements cannot be derived from Gauss's equations.  相似文献

For application to the mid-latitude topside ionosphere, we have derived diffusion and heat flow equations for a gas mixture composed of two major ions, electrons and a number of minor ions. These equations were derived by expanding the velocity distribution of each constituent about its 13 lower order velocity moments. As a consequence, each constituent was allowed to have its own temperature and drift velocity. The restriction to mid-latitudes results because we have assumed that the species temperature and drift velocity differences were small. In deriving the diffusion and thermal conduction equations, we have discovered some new transport effects. For the major ions, we have found that: (1) a temperature gradient in either gas causes thermal diffusion in both gases; (2) a temperature gradient in either gas causes heat to flow in both gases; and (3) a relative drift between the major ion gases induces a heat flow in both gases. Similar transport effects have also been found for the minor ions.  相似文献

The influence of a net charge on the critical mass of a neutron star   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We derived the set of equations determining the structure of a spherically symmetric charged star within the framework of general relativity (modified Oppenhiemer-Volkoff equations). The equations have been solved for a completely degenerate Fermi gas with a charge density assumed to be proportional to the matter density. It is shown that the presence of a net charge does not affect the existence of a critical mass. The value, however, could be substantially altered, in some cases doubled. On leave of absence from the China University of Science and Technology, Hefei, Aniwei, People's Republic of China.  相似文献
