On the base of CCD-observations made with the axial meridian circle of the Nikolaev Observatory from 2008 to 2009, we compiled a catalogue for astrometric positions and proper motions for 140321 stars located in an ecliptic zone and around high proper motion stars. The root-meansquare error for a star position is 20–65 mas in right ascension and 30–70 mas in declination. The UCAC2 catalogue is used as a reference for astrometric reductions. To derive stars’ proper motion and to estimate systematic errors of the compiled catalogue, cross-identification of the obtained data with modern astronomic catalogues Tycho2, 2MASS, CMC14, LSPM, PPMX, USNO-A2, and XPM-1.0 is performed. In addition to star position and proper motion, our catalogue contains photometric values B, V, r’, J, H, and K taken from other catalogues.  相似文献

The Pulkovo Compilation of Radial Velocities (PCRV) has been made to study the stellar kinematics in the local spiral arm. The PCRV contains weighted mean absolute radial velocities for 35 495 Hipparcos stars of various spectral types and luminosity classes over the entire celestial sphere mainly within 500 pc of the Sun. The median accuracy of the radial velocities obtained is 0.7 km s?1. Results from 203 publications were used in the catalogue. Four of them were used to improve the radial velocities of standard stars from the IAU list. The radial velocities of 155 standard stars turned out to be constant within 0.3 km s?1. These stars were used to analyze 47 768 mean radial velocities for 37 200 stars from 12 major publications (~80% of all the data used). Zero-point discrepancies and systematic dependences on radial velocity, B-V color index, right ascension, and declination were found in radial velocity differences of the form “publication minus IAU list of standards.” These discrepancies and dependences were approximated and taken into account when calculating the weighted mean radial velocities. 1128 stars whose independent radial-velocity determinations were available at least in three of these publications and agreed within 3 km s?1 were chosen as the work list of secondary standards. Radial-velocity differences of the form “publication minus list of secondary standards” were used by analogy to correct the zero points and systematic dependences in the radial velocities from 33 more publications (~ 13% of the data used). In addition, the radial velocities from 154 minor publications (~7% of the data used) pertaining to well-known instruments were used without any corrections.  相似文献

The catalogue of positions and stellar V magnitudes of up to 17 m stars in the declination zone from 2° to 5.5° has been compiled. The catalogue includes 2.05 × 106 stars and is based on the observations performed in 2010–2015 on the meridian axial circle (MAC) of GAO NAN Ukraine and the Astronomical Observatory of Taras Shevchenko National University. The errors of the positions and photometry for stars of 11–14 magnitude are 0.06″–0.08″ and 0.04 m –0.08 m , respectively.  相似文献

We present determinations of fundamental parameters and lithium abundances in eleven solar-type stars through observations of the Li I λ6707.8Å. The correlations between the abundance of lithium and that of other elements (Ca, K and Fe) are also discussed. The analysis of our data indicates that the maximum lithium abundance decreases with decreasingT eff, and also decreases with increasing age. The sun is just one of the stars with low lithium abundance. One of the sample stars shows a high lithium abundance of as much as 2.34 dex. The plot of lithium abundance versus [Ca/H] is similar to that versus [Fe/H]. Lithium seems depleted more quickly than potassium in the cool solar-type stars. The correlation between the lithium abundance and the other stellar characteristics, such as absolute visual magnitude, does not seem very strong. The large scatter present at each color cannot be uniquely attributed to different initial compositions or to pure age effect. Other complex mechanisms may exist to provide different amounts of lithium depletion for stars with properties similar to the sun.  相似文献

Preceding research on 172 B5V-A5V stars (Fracassiniet al., 1973) has been extended to cover 116 A5V-F5V stars of the catalogue of Geneva Observatory (Rufener, 1971), to test the validity of the method for later type stars. Figure 2 shows a satisfactory agreement between our results and those obtained by Gaposchkin (1958) using data from 82 eclipsing binary systems. Furthermore, our results also seem to confirm that the Sun has an absolute radius larger than that averaged from F5V-G0V stars. There is also a good agreement with the apparent radii of α Aql and α C Mi determined by Hanbury Brownet al. (1967, 1974). Three other stars, which are anomalous in the log α″ vsm vdiagram have been added to those selected in the preceding paper. No systematic differences among the absolute radii of stars of the same spectral type, in the Hyades, Pleiades and Praesepe, have been found.  相似文献

We have performed non-LTE calculations for O I with a multilevel model atom using currently available atomic data for a set of parameters corresponding to stars of spectral types from A to K. Departures from LTE lead to a strengthening of O I lines, and the difference between the non-LTE and LTE abundances (non-LTE correction) is negative. The non-LTE correction does not exceed 0.05 dex in absolute value for visible O I lines for main-sequence stars in the entire temperature range. For the infrared O I 7771 Å line, the non-LTE correction can reach ?1.9 dex. The departures from LTE are enhanced with increasing temperature and decreasing surface gravity. We have derived the oxygen abundance for three A-type mainsequence stars with reliably determined parameters (Vega, Sirius, HD 32115). For each of the stars, allowance for the departures from LTE leads to a decrease in the difference between the abundances from infrared and visible lines, for example, for Vega from 1.17 dex in LTE to 0.14 dex when abandoning LTE. In the case of Procyon and the Sun, inelastic collisions with HI affect the statistical equilibrium of OI, and agreement between the abundances from different lines is achieved when using Drawin’s classical formalism. Based on the O I 6300, 6158, 7771-5, and 8446 Å lines of the solar spectrum, we have derived the mean oxygen abundance log ? = 8.74 ± 0.05 using a classical plane-parallel model solar atmosphere and log ? +3D = 8.78 ± 0.03 by applying the 3D corrections taken from the literature.  相似文献

Astroplates acquired in the course of the Photographic Survey of the Northern Sky project (abbreviated as FON) were scanned at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAO NASU). For this, the Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL TMA and Epson Expression 10000XL scanners were used. From 1600 plates of the total amount, the rectangular coordinates of stars were obtained. After the astrometric reduction, a catalog of the equatorial coordinates and brightness for more than 15 million stars was built up. The mean-squared errors in positions and B magnitudes of the stars in the catalog (from–2° to 90° by declination) mainly depend on the position in a plate, the overlapping multiplicity (that may reach 8), and the stellar magnitude. These errors estimated by internal convergence are within the limits of 0.1′′–0.4′′ and 0.05–0.2 m for the coordinates and stellar magnitudes, respectively.  相似文献

The results of longitudinal magnetic field measurements B z in the hot accretion spot in three classical T Tauri stars (CTTS) are reported. In all three stars the magnetic field is detected at a level above 2σ in the formation region of the narrow component of the He I 5876 Å emission line. In the case of DS Tau the longitudinal field B z in the hot spot was also measured from the narrow emission components of the Na I D lines, implying +0.8 ± 0.3 kG, which is equal to the B z field component measured from the He I 5876 Å line. Our results suggest that the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory can be used to study magnetic fields in the hot spots of CTTS with magnitudes down to 13m, making it possible to double the number of stars of this type with measured B z values in the accretion zone.  相似文献

The Tycho-2 proper motions and five-band Tycho-2 and 2MASS photometry for approximately 2.5 million common stars have been used to select OB stars and to determine the extinction and photometric distance for each of them. We have selected 37 485 stars and calculated their reddenings based on their positions in the two-color V T -H, J-Ks diagrams relative to the zero-age main sequence and the theoretical reddening line for B5 stars. Tests confirm that the selected stars belong to the spectral types O-B with a small admixture of later types. We calculate the extinction coefficient R and its variations with Galactic longitude based on the positions of the selected stars in the two-color B T -V T , V T -Ks diagram. The interstellar extinction for each star is calculated as the product of the reddening found and the coefficient R. The extinction and its variations with Galactic longitude agree well with the extinction based on the model by Arenou et al. (1992). Calibration of the relation between the absolute magnitude and reduced proper motion V T − + 5 + 5 log μ for Hipparcos stars has allowed us to calculate the absolute magnitudes and photometric distances for the selected stars. The distances found agree with those derived from the Hipparcos parallaxes within 500 pc. The distribution of the stars and the extinction variations with distance found show that the selected stars form an almost complete sample of stars with spectral types earlier than B5 within about 750 pc of the Sun. The sample includes many noticeably reddened stars in the first and second Galactic quadrants that are absent from the Hipparcos and Tycho Spectral Types Catalogues. This slightly changes the pattern of the distribution of OB stars compared to the classical pattern based on Hipparcos. Original Russian Text ? G.A. Transverse amplitude modulations of fast magnetosonic waves propagating perpendicular to the background magnetic field are shown to be unstable on a time scale τ ~- λ/V aφ, if the wave amplitude φ exceeds a critical value, φ c = C s/V a. The slow modes generated by the modulational instability under gravity can propagate along the magnetic field with the characteristic velocity, V ph = g/2k V aφ. The applications of this modulational instability and slow-mode generation mechanism to a solar plasma are discussed.  相似文献

We present a progress report on an extensive survey to find and characterize all types of horizontal-branch stars in the nuclear bulge of the Galaxy. We have obtained wide, shallow imaging in UBV of ≈12 square degrees in the bulge, with follow-up spectroscopy for radial velocities and metal abundance determinations. We have discovered a number of metal-rich blue HB stars, whose presence in the bulge is expected by the interpretation of the extragalactic ultraviolet excess. Very deep images have been obtained in UBV and SDSS u along the bulge minor axis, which reveal a significant number of EHB candidates fainter than B=19, i.e., with the same absolute magnitudes as EHB stars in several globular clusters.  相似文献

Recent observations of the X-ray and EUV emission of non-supergiant B stars are summarized. As compared with O stars, the X-rays of most of the near-main-sequence B stars are soft, and the stars show a departure from theL x = 10?7 L bol relation. Using line driven wind models to provide an estimate of the density distribution, it is concluded that a major fraction of the wind emission measure is hot, whereas in shocked wind theory less than 10 percent of the wind emission measure should be hot. The X-ray observations suggest that all of the B stars are X-ray emitters with a basal X-ray luminosity of about 10?8.5 L bol . A hard component dominates the X-ray emission of τ Sco, and possible causes are discussed. For the Be stars, the X-ray emission is that which is expected from a normal B-star wind coming from the poles, as in the Wind Compressed Disk (WCD) model of Be stars. None of the stars, including theβ Cep stars, show noticeable variability in their X-rays.EUVE observations of CMa B2 II, find it to be the brightest object in the EUV sky at 500 to 700 Å. It shows a Lyman continuum flux that is a factor of 30 higher than line blanketed model atmospheres. The continuum is seen on both sides of the He I 504 Å edge, and the discrepancy with model atmospheres is even greater shortward of 504 Å. TheEUVE spectra show emission lines both from high stages of ionization ( Feix to Fexvi) and from low stages (Heii and Oiii). The Heii Lymanα results from recombination following X-ray photoionization in the wind, and the Oiii resonance line is found to be present because of the Bowen fluorescence mechanism. Thus, there is and interesting coupling between the wind production by the EUV photospheric emission, the production of X-ray and line EUV emission by winds, and the production of fluorescence by recombination in the wind; all of these processes are now observable in B stars.  相似文献

Astrometric CCD observations of 1123 stars with large proper motions (μ > 300 mas yr−1) from the LSPM (I/298) catalog in the declination zone +30°–+70° have been carried out with the Pulkovo normal astrograph since 2006. The observational program includes mostly stars that previously have not entered into high-accuracy projects to determine the proper motions. Our studies are aimed at determining new proper motions of fast stars in the HCRF/UCAC3 system and searching for stars with invisible companions in the immediate Galactic neighborhoods of the Sun. Having analyzed about 10 000 CCD frames, we have obtained the equatorial coordinates of 414 program stars in the HCRF/UCAC3 system at an accuracy level of 10–50 mas and determined their new proper motions. To derive the proper motions, we have used the data from several star catalogs and surveys (M2000, CMC14, 2MASS, SDSS) as early epochs. The epoch differences range from 5 to 13 years (on average, about 10 years); the mean accuracy of the derived proper motions is 4–5 mas yr−1. For 70 stars, we have revealed significant differences between the derived proper motions and those from the LSPM and I/306A catalogs (these proper motions characterize the mean motion of the photocenter in 50 years or more). Apart from systematic errors, these differences can result from the existence of invisible components of the program stars.  相似文献

Eclipsing variables in visual binary and multiple stars are searched using data from GCVS, WDS, and CCDM catalogs. The list of 421 eclipsing variables is obtained. The masses of components of multiple systems from the list are estimated using the mass-luminosity relation for the main sequence stars. It is shown that, for 85% multiple systems from the list, the mass of visual components is smaller by a factor of 2 than the total mass of close binary systems. The distributions of orbital elements of visual binary systems are constructed and used for calculation of orbit semi-major axes for star from the list. The distributions of orbit semi-major axes and periods obtained from observations are approximated by Gaussian curves. The maxima of the curves correspond to a = 800 a.u. and P = 7600 years, respectively. The distribution of orbit semi-major axes larger than 800 a.u. is better described by Opik’s law; it is expected that this law describes the real a distribution in the region of small values as well. The frequency of eclipsing variables in multiple stars makes 12% of the total number of stars of this type in GCVS.  相似文献

The stars in the Main Sequence are seen as a hierarchy of objects with different massesM and effective dynamical radiiR eff=R/α given by the stellar radii and the coefficients for the inner structure of the stars. As seen in a previous work (Paper I), during the lifetime in the Main SequenceR eff(t) remains a near invariant when compared to the variation in the time ofR(t) and α(t). With such an effectiveR eff one obtains the amounts of actionA c(M), the effective densities ρeff(M)=ρ(M3(M), the densities of action and of energy (or mean presures in the stellar interior)a c(M),e c(M), and the potential energiesE p(M). The amounts of action areA cM k withk≈1.87 for the M stars,k≈5/3 for the KGF stars, andk≈1.83 for the A and earlier stars, representing very simples conditions for the other dynamical parameters. For instancek≈5/3 means a near invariant effective density αeff for the KGF stars, while for such stars the mean densities and coefficients α present the strongest variations with masses ρ(M)∝M ?1.81, α(M)∝M0.6. The cases for the M stars (e c(M)∝M ?1) and for the A and earlier stars (betweena c(M)=constant and αeff(M)∝M ?1) and also discussed. These conditions for the earlier stars also represent reasonable mean values for the whole stellar hierarchy in the range of masses 0.2M M≤25M . With all this, one can build ‘dynamical’ HR diagrams withA c(M), Ep(M), αeff M ?p , etc., whose characteristics are analogous to these in the photometrical HR diagram. A comparison is made betweenA c(M) from the models here and the HR diagram with the best known stars of luminosity classes IV, V, and white dwarfs. The comparison of the potential energiesE p(M)∝M ?p according to the stellar models used here and the observed frequency function ψ(MM ?q (number of stars in a given interval of masses) from different authors suggests the possibility that the productE p(M)ψ(M) is a constant, but this must be confirmed with further studies of the function ψ(M) and its fine structure. There are analogies between the formulation used here for the stellar hierarchy and other physical processes, for instance, in modified forms of the Kolmogorov law of turbulence and in the formulation used for the hierarchy of molecular clouds in gravitational equilibrium. Besides, the function of actionA c(M) for the stars has analogous properties to the relations of angular momenta and massesJ(M) for different types of objects. We have measured the absolute proper motions of 534 stars in a 1.5° × 1.5° region around the cluster M3, using 14 plates taken with a 40-cm refractor spanning 80 years. 24 stars in the ACT catalogue were used to define the reference frame and the reduction was made using the central overlapping technique. Using the new data, the membership probabilities were redetermined. The mean absolute motion of the cluster was found to be −0.3 ± 0.3 mas/yr in R.A., and −3.1 ± 0.3 mas/yr in declination. Combining the present data with the known distance and radial velocity, the three-dimensional galactic orbit of M3 was calculated for Allen's galactic potential.  相似文献

The effective temperatures of the classical Cepheids RT Aur and T Vul have been determined by a comparison of their spectral scans with appropriate model atmospheres. The radii of the stars have been determined through the Wesselink method. Using these temperatures and the Wesselink radii, the luminosities of the stars have been determined. These radii estimates, including the radii of SU Cas (Joshi & Rautela 1980) andζ Gem (unpublished) fit better in the theoretical period-radius relationship given by Cogan (1978), as compared to earlier determinations of Wesselink radii. The pulsation masses and evolutionary masses of the stars have been calculated. The pulsation to evolutionary mass ratio is derived to be 0.85. Based on the effective temperatures obtained by us at different phases of the stars aθ c ? (B-V)0 relationship is found of the form, \(\begin{gathered} \theta _e = 0.274 (B - V)_0 + 0.637 \\ \pm 0.011 \pm 0.007 \\ \end{gathered} \)   相似文献

In order to get a broader view of the s-process nucleosynthesis we study the abundance distribution of heavy elements of 35 barium stars and 24 CEMP-stars, including nine CEMP-s stars and 15 CEMP-r/s stars. The similar distribution of [Pb/hs] between CEMP-s and CEMP-r/s stars indicate that the s-process material of both CEMP-s and CEMP-r/s stars should have a uniform origin, i.e. mass transfer from their predominant AGB companions. For the CEMP-r/s stars, we found that the r-process should provide similar proportional contributes to the second s-peak and the third s-peak elements, and also be responsible for the higher overabundance of heavy elements than those in CEMP-s stars. Which hints that the r-process origin of CEMP-r/s stars should be closely linked to the main r-process. The fact that some small r values exist for both barium and CEMP-s stars, implies that the single exposure event of the s-process nucleosynthesis should be general in a wide metallicity range of our Galaxy. Based on the relation between C r and C s, we suggest that the origin of r-elements for CEMP-r/s stars have more sources. A common scenario is that the formation of the binary system was triggered by only one or a few supernova. In addition, accretion-induced collapse(AIC) or SN 1.5 should be the supplementary scenario, especially for these whose pre-AGB companion with higher mass and smaller orbit radius, which support the higher values of both C r and C s.  相似文献

New spectral observations of chemically peculiar (CP) magnetic stars were obtained using an NES echelle spectrometer with a BTA telescope in the Special Astrophysical Observatory (Russian Academy of Sciences). Several stars were shown to have anomalous Li abundances. Testing and monitoring the stars with Doppler shifts Vsini > 10 km/s indicated that the lithium 6708 Å line was variable in the spectra of some roaAP-CP stars. To distinguish variable features in the spectra, the dispersogram technique was used. The most peculiar among the stars studied is HD 12098. The strong and variable lithium 6708 Å line was detected in the spectrum of this star. The star has been shown to have greatly different lithium abundances in two rotation phases corresponding to opposite surface areas. As mentioned earlier, a similar behavior of the Li blend was found in the spectra of HD 83368 and HD 60435 which have lithium spots on their surface. Spectral observations of slowly rotating CP stars with the Doppler shifts Vsini < 10 km/s revealed the strong and nonvariable lithium 6708 Å line in the spectra of these stars. Quantitative spectral analysis using the Li I 6708 Å resonance doublet and the Li I 6103 Å line shows the lithium abundance, as determined by the 6103 Å line, to be somewhat greater than that determined by the 6708 Å line. A higher ratio of 6Li/7Li amounting to ~0.3–0.5 was found in these stars. 6Li production is assumed to be due to spallation reactions on the surface of magnetic CP stars; this isotope ratio remained in strong magnetic fields.  相似文献
