全新世以来南疆地区气候环境演变与人类活动的关系

根据南疆地区不同沉积相的沉积记录的研究 ,初步建立了南疆地区 1 2 ka BP以来气候环境演化序列。研究揭示 ,此期间南疆地区气候与环境的演变具有较为显著的西风型特征 ,共经历了 5次相对暖干和 4次相对冷湿时期。特别是在全新世大暖期中出现于 7.0～ 5.0 ka BP期间相对暖湿的气候环境特征可能与西南季风势力的增强有关 ,而且还揭示了此地区暖干化趋势存在阶梯式增强的特征 ,研究还发现 ,近 4ka BP以来 ,气候环境的变化与一些人文事件如古城的废弃、丝绸之路的兴衰和人地关系类型的演化存在着一定的关系。     

塔里木盆地东部台特玛湖近25.0ka BP以来气候与环境变化

由南疆罗布泊地区台特玛湖沉积物多种地质记录的综合分析表明,近25．0kaBP以来此地区气候与环境演化的过程和特征与新疆其它地区基本一致。多手段的综合研究,揭示了近25．0kaBP以来台特玛湖气候与环境的变化经历了7次相对暖干、5次相对冷湿和1次相对暖湿变化,而且全新世期间历次的气候变化与具有高分辨率的敦德冰芯记录以及北半球气候变化的过程上基本一致,所记录的气候与环境演化过程呈现出明显的西风型环境演变特征。唯一在7．0～6．0kaBP期间出现的相对暖湿的环境特征应该是真正意义上的全新世大暖期最盛期的体现,可能与此时增强的西南夏季风势力影响到本地区有关。     

艾比湖周边灌丛沙堆风沙沉积记录的气候环境演化

选择位于西风区的新疆艾比湖周边灌丛沙堆为研究对象,利用光释光测年初步建立风沙沉积的时间序列,分析了风沙沉积粒度和地球化学元素两个环境代用指标的古气候意义,并通过区域对比和综合分析,初步建立区域风沙气候环境演变序列。结果表明:研究区灌丛沙堆主要发育于晚全新世,缺失早中全新世的风沙沉积。晚冰期以来,艾比湖地区的风沙气候环境演变经历了一系列冷湿（凉湿）-暖干（温干）的变化过程,其中暖干（温干）时期气候干旱,风力强劲,湖滨阶地主要发生风蚀过程,不利于灌丛沙堆的发育。晚全新世以来,艾比湖周边灌丛沙堆发育较普遍,风沙沉积至少记录了3次相对干旱期和3次相对湿润期。灌丛沙堆记录的风沙气候环境演化序列与北疆其他全新世沉积记录有较好的一致性,基本遵循晚次冰期以来气候变化的西风模式,同时也受到局地风沙地貌环境的影响。     

天山乌鲁木齐河源1号冰川冰芯记录形成过程及年代划分

冰川冰芯记录了历史时期的气候环境信息.天山乌鲁木齐河源1号冰川位于亚洲大陆干旱半干旱地区的腹地,1991 -1998年在1号冰川钻取的4根深冰芯(To ～T3),用于探究该地区历史时期各项气候环境信息记录.通过化学离子季节变化特征以及δ18O和Mg2+的剖面与树轮重建的温度记录对比,分别对冰芯T2(80.1 m)的32...     

南极菲尔德斯半岛古海蚀龛沉积的古环境记录

在西南极菲尔德斯半岛长城站地区发现有大量古海蚀龛 ,龛内保存有完整沉积剖面 ,通过对其中一个沉积剖面的粒度特征及元素组成的分析 ,确认该剖面是后期的湖相沉积 ,并据此恢复了距今 460 0年以来该地区古环境演化历史。结果表明 ,距今 40 0 0— 30 0 0年长城站区地表岩石化学风化作用较强烈 ,处于一个相对温暖的时期 ,这与湖泊沉积物、海洋沉积物等古环境记录载体的研究结果是一致的 ,证明古海蚀龛沉积可以作为研究南极无冰区和冰缘地区古环境演化历史的一种新的地质载体。     

塔里木盆地南缘历史时期气候环境变化的过程与特征

根据塔里木盆地南缘具较高分辨率的湖沼相沉积物碳酸盐δ^13C和粒度等记录，恢复出2162-850BC期间为一相对稳定的温暖干旱时期，之后迅速转冷湿，湿润程度呈持续、阶段式增加，50 BC至500 AD期间呈现的显著冷湿特征于550 AD之后突变转暖干而结束。550 AD和1000 AD前后的具突变性质的气候事件在南疆地区近2．0ka的气候变化中具有重要意义，反映气候状况有过重大调整。850—1300AD期间(相当于中世纪温暖期)冷暖、干湿多变，但温暖特征并不明显。特别是1100—1200AD期间气候快速、频繁变化之后，奠定了本地区现代稳定干旱环境特征。区域对比表明，尼雅剖面记录的气候变化具有广泛的区域一致性。     

湖泊碳酸盐在过去环境变化研究中的应用

国内外的研究成果表明,湖泊沉积碳酸盐矿物及其微量元素、同位素分布特征记录了全球或区域古气候环境演变历史,可以从中提取大量定量化的古气候参数。因此,可以根据湖泊碳酸盐矿物的含量和碳、氧同位素变化等信息推知其形成时期的气候环境,重建古环境,揭示气候环境演变的规律。湖泊碳酸盐是一种研究古环境演化重要的代用指标,在过去气候环境变化研究中有广阔的应用前景。     

塔里木盆地南缘沉积物磁化率变化与历史时期环境演化

磁化率作为一种重要的环境指标，在恢复气候环境演变方面得到了较为广泛的应用。本研究表明，塔克拉玛干沙漠南缘沉积物的低频磁化率对于本地区环境的演变反映较为敏感，因此本文以低频磁化率为主导指标，结合其它地质记录，对尼雅地区的古气候环境进行了恢复，研究结果表明：近4000年来尼雅地区的气候环境以干旱化为主，但期间仍有几次相对干湿的波动，共经历了3次相对湿润期和3次相对干旱期。据此恢复出的古气候环境与其它环境指标恢复出的结果具有较好的吻合性，不仅具有鲜明的区域性特征，同时也具全球性的一致性。     

巴丹吉林沙漠包气带Cl-示踪与气候记录研究

Cl^-是自然界中最稳定的示踪剂, 包气带水Cl^-浓度与降水中Cl^-浓度的差异可以反映降水的有效入渗补给量和包气带水的年龄。基于CMB的氯累积年龄可以用³⁶Cl/Cl在三个时间尺度上校正。利用CMB研究了巴丹吉林沙漠南缘的两个钻孔剖面的Cl^-与含水量的分布状况, 计算了800a以来的地下水补给量及其所反映的气候波动特征。在该地区, 多年平均降雨量为89mm, 而平均补给量仅为1.3mm。干旱沙漠地区最近800a气候明显经历了4个干期和3个湿期。1500-1530年是干旱区气候突变的时期, 18世纪末至19世纪初是气候环境演化的又一个十分重要的时间界限, 自此以后的漫长时间, 干旱化进程进一步加剧。     

过去300年华南地区冷冬指数序列的重建与特征

根据华南地区历史文献记录的特点,参照华南地区冬季气候和天气特征,提出利用史料记录重建华南地区冷冬指数的方法,重建1710-2009年华南地区冷冬指数序列,据此分析过去300年华南地区的冬季冷暖变化特征。结果表明:1710-2009年间,华南地区平均冷冬指数为2.2,相邻年最大相差为3.0,相邻年代最大相差为0.7,波动较为明显;过去300年可分为3个时段:1710-1834年相对暖期、1835-1892年相对冷期和1893-2009年的相对暖期;华南地区冬季冷暖变化呈显著变暖趋势;华南地区冷冬指数序列存在显著的100年、50年、40年和8年周期;重建序列与同时期器测序列具有较高的相关性,可从一定程度上反映华南过去300年冬季变化的规律性,对华南地区和中国冬季冷暖变化特征研究可能具有些许参考意义。

Deserts and Aeolian Desertification in China: Book review and some thoughts

Desertification is a global phenomenon that affects about two billion people. It occurs in arid zones where the annual precipitation is below 400 mm, partic- ularly in the marginal areas of the world＇s largest deserts. It is a result of water and wind erosion, over- grazing, global warm-ing, improper soil cultivation, and increased pressure ot population growth, and it causes degradation of soil and natural and agricultural vegetation. The direct result is less food for people and livestock, which influences pop- ulation and animal husbandry fluctuations. Despite ef- forts to combat and reduce desertification, the affected areas are annually increasing.

THE MOST PERFECT EXAMPLE OF AN ALIEN ECOLOGY EVER CONSTRUCTED

Much science-fiction literature is based upon the creation and exploration of alternative environments. Stanley G. Weinbaum's short story, “Parasite Planet,”introduces an unusual environment that may be wrong in the light of recent evidence on Venus but still stimulates the geographical imagination.     

Metals and models: Diagenic modelling in freshwater lacustrine sediments

This review aims to distill and synthesize the existing information on the use of models to describe and predict the distribution and movement of metals in lacustrine sediments. As such it examines the causes of metal diagenesis, the origin and form of the equations that govern these phenomena, and the predictability or measurability of the parameters that appear in the models. The paper concludes by highlighting some seminal results from modelling studies, including the determination of the factors controlling the formation of surficial Mn-Fe-enriched zone or layers, the substantial contribution possible from metal reduction to organic matter regeneration, the calculation of mixing-corrected metal input histories to lakes, and the prediction of growth rates and morphologies for both deep-sea and lacustrine ferromanganese nodules.

正1.Aims and scope Sciences in Cold and Arid Regions(SCAR)is a bimonthly journal that publishes in English the latest research achievements in processes and the patterns of the Earth surface system in cold and arid regions.Researches in cold regions emphasize particularly on the cold-region-characterized physical,chemical and biological processes and their interactions,and on the response of cryosphere to global change and human activities as well as their effects on environment and the acclimatizable strategies;focus on the objects of glacier,snow,river,lake,sea ice,permafrost and seasonal frozen ground,and periglacial geomorphology,etc.;and think much of cold regions
