The long awaited event of the detection of a gravitational wave from a binary neutron star merger and its electromagnetic counterparts marked the beginning of a new era in observational astrophysics. The brand-new field of gravitational wave astronomy combined with multi-messenger observations will uncover violent, highly energetic astrophysical events that could not be explored before by humankind. This article focuses on the presumable appearance of a hadron–quark phase transition and the formation of regions of deconfined quark matter in the interior of a neutron star merger product. The evolution of density and temperature profiles inside the inner region of the produced hypermassive/supramassive neutron star advises an incorporation of a hadron–quark phase transition in the equation of state of neutron star matter. The highly densed and hot neutron star matter of the remnant populate regions in the QCD phase diagram where a non neglectable amount of deconfined quark matter is expected to be present. If a strong hadron–quark phase transition would happen during the post-merger phase, it will be imprinted in the spectral properties of the emitted gravitational wave signal and might give an additional contribution to the dynamically emitted outflow of mass.  相似文献

The Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model is known for its simplicity and capacity to reproduce some of the basic characteristics of the quantum chromodynamics phase diagram. However, since it is a nonrenormalizable model, there are regularization issues that should be treated conveniently. This is the case when considering the quark anomalous magnetic moment (AMM) when external constant magnetic fields are present. Regularization procedures based on entangled functions between the magnetic field and the cutoff of the model can predict first-order phase transitions for chiral symmetry restoration at finite values of magnetic fields and inverse magnetic catalysis. The strengths of magnetic fields explored in NJL model and lattice QCD do not show first-order phase transition. In the present work, we show that some of the previous results are regularization-dependent effects and how to handle the divergences using the vacuum magnetic regularization scheme.  相似文献

In the present article, a family of static spherical symmetric well behaved interior solutions is derived by considering the metric potential g 44=B(1−Cr 2)n for the various values of n, such that (1+n)/(1−n) is positive integer. The solutions so obtained are utilised to construct the heavenly bodies’ like quasi-black holes such as white dwarfs, neutron stars, quarks etc., by taking the surface density 2×1014 gm/cm3. The red shifts at the centre and on the surface are also computed for the different star models. Moreover the adiabatic index is calculated in each case. In this process the authors come across the quarks star only. Least and maximum mass are fond to be 3.4348M Θ and 4.410454M Θ along with the radii 21.0932 km and 23.7245 km respectively.  相似文献

We use two methods of constructing the initial mass distribution, the traditional way and Monte Carlo simulation, to obtain integrated U - B, B - V, V-R and V-I colours and absorption-line indices denned by the Lick Observatory image dissector scanner (referred to as Lick/IDS), for instantaneous burst solarmetallicity single stellar populations with ages in the range 1-15 Gyr. We find that the evolutionary curves of all colours obtained by the traditional method are smoother than those by Monte Carlo simulation, that the U - B and B - V colours obtained by the two methods agree with one another, while the V - R and V - I colours by the traditional method are bluer than those by Monte Carlo simulation. A comparison of the Lick/IDS absorption-line indices shows that the variations in all the indices by the traditional method are smoother than that for the Monte Carlo simulation, and that all the indices except for TiO1 and TiO2 are consistent with those for the Monte Carlo simulation.  相似文献

Convincing evidence for a past interaction between the two rich clusters A399 and A401 was recently found in the X-ray imaging observations. We examine the structure and dynamics of this pair of galaxy clusters. A mixture-modeling algorithm was applied to obtain a robust partition into two clusters, which allowed us to discuss the virial mass and velocity distribution of each cluster. Assuming that these two clusters follow a linear orbit and they have once experienced a close encounter, we model the binary cluster as a two-body system. As a result, four gravitationally bound solutions are obtained. The recent X-ray observations seem to favor a scenario in which the two clusters with a true separation of 5.4h-1 Mpc are currently expanding at 583 km s-1 along a direction with a projection angle of 67.5°, and they will reach a maximum extent of 5.65 h-1 Mpc in about 1.0 h-1 Gyr.  相似文献

We investigate a unique accreting millisecond pulsar with X-ray eclipses,SWIFT J1749.4-2807(hereafter J1749),and try to set limits on the binary system by various methods including use of the Roche lobe,the mass-radius relations of both main sequence(MS)and white dwarf(WD)companion stars,as well as the measured mass function of the pulsar.The calculations are based on the assumption that the radius of the companion star has reached its Roche radius(or is at 90%),but the pulsar's mass has not been assumed to be a certain value.Our results are as follows.The companion star should be an MS one.For the case that the radius equals its Roche one,we have a companion star with mass M(~-)0.51 M⊙ and radius Rc(~-)0.52 R⊙,and the inclination angle is i(~-)76.5°; for the case that the radius reaches 90% of its Roche one,we have M(~-)0.43 M⊙,Re()0.44 R⊙ and i(~-)75.7°.We also obtain the mass of J1749,Mp(~-)1 M⊙,and conclude that the pulsar could be a quark star if the ratio of the critical frequency of rotation-mode instability to the Keplerian one is higher than~0.3.The relatively low pulsar mass(about~M⊙)may also challenge the conventional recycling scenario for the origin and evolution of millisecond pulsars.The results presented in this paper are expected to be tested by future observations.  相似文献

Annual modulations in timescales of intraday variability (IDY here-after) are discussed for six extragalactic sources:0716 714,0917 624,0954 65,1749 70,1803 78 and 2007 77.The timescales calculated from scintillation the-ory are compared with the observational data.It is emphasized that systematic observations are required to identify the phenomenon and to determine the motion of the interstellar medium with respect to the Local Standard of Rest.In addi-tion,significant deviations from the annual modulation could be due to intrinsic variations.  相似文献

Collective elastic oscillations of a lattice of nonabelian quark semisuperfluid vortex filaments in the superfluid core of a rotating neutron star are examined. It is shown that in the incompressible fluid approximation, transverse long wavelength oscillations (Tkachenko oscillations) owing to shear deformation of the vortex lattice propagate in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The periods of these oscillations are consistent with rotational variations on the order of 100-1000 days observed in the pulsars PSR B0531+21 and PSR B1828-11. The line profiles of Hα in a limb flare on 1998 November 11 appear to be unusually broadened. It is considered that macro-turbulence (or macroscopic mass motions) may be one of the main causes. We use an inversion technique to extract the probability distribution of the line-of-sight velocity in the flare. There exist some differences between the velocity distributions deduced from Hα and from CaⅡ λ8542, which may be because the two lines depend differently on the temperature and velocity. Since the loop density is high, we obtain a rather short cooling time (several tens of seconds) from the hot X-ray loops to the cool loops visible in Hα. Possible origins of the large scale motions are discussed.  相似文献

为了研究激光天文动力学空间任务概念,我们建立了CGC2星历框架及演算法。在此框架中,我们考虑了太阳,九大行星,月球等十一个主要天体和492颗直径大于65km的小行星。我们使用后牛顿运动方程式及Rnge-Kutta四阶数值方法,取的演进间距为0.01天。鉴于个人计算机的进展,此星历之演算在个人计算机上即可进行,算法及程序公开,可供研究者方便使用。在和JPL DE405之算法比较时,我们使用DE 405星历之参及初始值学演算并将其和DE 405之差与DE 403和DE405之差比较。结果显示,显示CGC2星历与DE405星历之演算结果相近。若要进一步成为独立的星历,则需重新拟合所有有效的观测数据。此公开的框架并可望在未来有新数据时供研究者改进。  相似文献

阿波罗型小行星1989 FC于1989年3月23日(ET)几乎掠地而过,与地球近达0.0046AU,创小行星近地纪录,引起人们极大的关注与兴趣。本文考虑九大行星、月球的精确摄动与广义相对论效应,精确地计算研究了这颗特殊近地小行星在未来一世纪内轨道的动力学演变,发现在2051年3月24.25日(ET),此星还将再次非常接近地球达0.012AU,但不会极度接近以致碰撞,届时将是对1989 FC作观测研究以致空间开发利用的有利时机。  相似文献
