Brittle fractures occurring at the beam–column connections of welded steel moment frames, such as those observed following the Mw 6.7 1994 Northridge earthquake, result in sudden decreases in connection strength and stiffness. These changes lead to various types of transient dynamic behavior at the local and global levels. The effects on global acceleration include highly transient, high‐frequency waveforms that occur immediately following fracture and decay quickly. The theoretical basis for the occurrence of these transient waveforms is examined and their presence in structural analysis results is demonstrated. Results from shaking table experiments on a simple steel moment frame with fracturing connections show that transient accelerations are consistently observed following fracture. These experiments and analyses show that, due to their short duration, the transient acceleration waveforms do not cause any sudden changes in the global lateral displacement response of typical building structures. Therefore, these global acceleration transients have relatively benign effects on overall system behavior despite their relatively large amplitudes. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

本文研究了不同发射电流波形对瞬变电磁(TEM)响应的影响,利用自由空间中回线作为目标体,推导出方波、梯形波、半正弦波、三角波激励的响应.研究表明:对于低电导率目标体,同种波形激励的响应在有发射电流期间(on-time)与无发射电流期间(off-time)的幅度相近,四种波形中方波激励响应最强.由于off-time采集可以获得更高的信噪比,因而探测低电导率目标体时一般采用方波激励,采集off-time信号.对于高电导率目标体,off-time响应幅度随电导率增加而迅速下降,而半正弦与三角波激励的on-time响应幅度基本不随电导率变化,因而航空TEM可以采用半正弦与三角波进行on-time采集,并通过适当地提高激励电流的基频,以提高信噪比与空间分辨率.  相似文献

传统低层建筑砌体结构动力特性分析中,易受到外界环境的干扰,砌体结构的完整性欠缺,导致动力特性分析的准确度较低。为提高低层建筑砌体结构的抗震性能,提出地震作用下低层建筑砌体结构的动力特性分析方法。首先利用低层建筑砌体结构反应自功率谱,完成砌体结构的自振频率辨认;然后通过941B型超低频率测振仪测试自振频率,筛出振动波形中噪声干扰的区域,获取时域波形和频域波形;最后依据时域波形和频域波形塑造低层建筑砌体三维精细化模型,在该模型基础上,通过子空间迭代算法获取低层建筑砌体结构的模拟结果,分析地震作用下芯柱、圈梁等构造措施对建筑砌体结构动力特征的影响,完成砌体结构的动力特性分析。实验结果表明,利用所提方法对地震作用下低层建筑砌体结构的动力特性进行分析,得到的分析结果准确度较高。  相似文献

A three-dimensional finite-element time-domain forward-modelling algorithm is developed to simulate transient electromagnetics excited by grounded-wire sources. The main advantage of this finite-element time-domain algorithm is that full transmitting-current waveforms and complex-shaped sources resulting from topography can be directly dealt with in this algorithm. The models used to test this algorithm include a homogeneous half-space model, a stratified-medium model, the model of a complex conductor at a vertical contact and the Ovoid Zone massive sulfide deposit at Voisey's Bay, Canada. The homogeneous half-space model is used to determine the truncation boundary for a computational domain, and to compare with the electromagnetic responses excited by step-off, step-on and direct current waveforms. For the stratified-medium model, results demonstrate that full transmitting waveforms have strong effects on the observed electromagnetic responses. The model of a complex conductor at a vertical contact is designed for the grounded electrical source airborne transient electromagnetic method and is also used to examine the effectiveness of the broadside and inline configurations for such a vertical, thin plate embedded in the subsurface. The area of the Ovoid Zone massive sulfide deposit possesses non-negligible topography, the effects of which on the shapes of the grounded-wire sources must be taken into account when implementing the finite-element time-domain solver. The results show that both the broadside and inline electromagnetic responses are strongly affected by the massive conductive ore body.  相似文献

本文以近年来广西地震台网中心记录的天然地震和岩溶塌陷为例,尝试利用基于小波包的分形和径向基函数神经网络技术对这两类事件的波形进行识别,以期有效地识别地震与岩溶塌陷。结果表明,基于小波包分形与神经网络相结合的事件识别方法对天然地震和岩溶塌陷事件的识别率高达89.5%,可作为识别天然地震与岩溶塌陷的一个有效方法。   相似文献

Summary The analysis extends previously obtained results for the transient magnetic fields of small loops in the presence of a homogeneous conducting half-space. Here, the secondary scattering of pulses by a buried target loop is examined for the case where both the source and receiver loops are located at the surface. While the response of the buried or target loop is orders of magnitude below the primary response, there is a significant difference in the respective transient waveforms. Thus, the results have possible application to mine rescue using a passive detection technique.  相似文献

本文通过端点效应压制的Hilbert-Huang变换, 对大同及沁源台布置的四分量钻孔应变仪记录的印尼8.6级地震激发的应变地震波形进行时频分析, 结果显示印尼8.6级地震的主震和8.2级余震的应变地震波序列各个震相具有不同的时频特征: ① 地震波到达之前的所谓“环境噪声”部分, 瞬时频率低, 瞬时振幅小; ② P波初至时, 高频成分突然增加, 振幅也随即增强; ③ S波到达时, 频率有所降低而振幅剧烈上升; ④ 面波到达时, 振幅进一步剧烈上升达到整个序列的极大值; ⑤ 尾波部分振幅逐渐降低, 但与噪声部分相比频率依然偏高, 振幅依然偏大。 本文也将应变地震波与地震仪记录的地震波进行对比, 虽然应变地震波与地震波波形和Fourier谱具有极高的相关系数, 但从Hilbert-Huang变换得到的边际谱上看, 应变地震波与地震波有显著的区别, 应变地震波比地震波记录的低频成分相对更多。 通过Hilbert谱, 有助于更好地了解非平稳信号的局部特征, 对于突变信号的地震波, Hilbert-Huang变换是一个较好的时频分析工具。  相似文献

为加强海上天然地震观测和岩石圈结构研究,我们在南海西沙群岛建立了石岛流动地震台,进行了为期一年多的观测试验.观测结果表明,虽然岛礁区的地震数据受热带气旋影响期间背景噪声较大,但仍能记录到MW 6级以上的地震.本文对具有清晰P波波形的远震记录进行了接收函数处理和计算模拟,得到台站下简单的地壳结构模型,其莫霍面深度为28 km,上地壳顶部有一层2 km厚的低速层,横波速度只有23 km/s,向下逐渐过渡到横波速度为38 km/s的下地壳.与已有的研究结果比较,发现石岛台与琼中台的地壳结构模型是西沙海槽剖面的自然延伸,西沙地块的地壳结构属减薄型陆壳,可与华南地块的正常陆壳对比.  相似文献

Seismic discrimination of an underground nuclear explosion (UNE) based on regional waveforms in continental margins is challenging due to large variations among waveforms. The 2009 North Korean UNE test was conducted in the far eastern Eurasian plate. The UNE was recorded by densely-located regional seismic stations, and regional waveforms exhibit highly path-dependent amplitude and arrival time features due to complex crustal structures. Regional source spectra are calculated by correcting for the path effects on the waveforms. A two-step approach is proposed for stable inversion of source-spectral parameters and path parameters. Characteristic overshoot features are observed in the source spectra, particularly strong in Pn. The path parameter, Q, is determined uniquely regardless of the source-spectral model implemented, which suggests stable separation of path effects from waveform records. The estimated source spectra fit well to a theoretical UNE source-spectral model. The fitness between the estimated and theoretical source-spectral models allows us to discriminate UNEs from natural earthquakes. Also, the P/S source-spectral ratio is observed to be an effective discriminant of UNE.  相似文献

We extend the frequency‐ and angle‐dependent poroelastic reflectivity to systematically analyse the characteristic of seismic waveforms for highly attenuating reservoir rocks. It is found that the mesoscopic fluid pressure diffusion can significantly affect the root‐mean‐square amplitude, frequency content, and phase signatures of seismic waveforms. We loosely group the seismic amplitude‐versus‐angle and ‐frequency characteristics into three classes under different geological circumstances: (i) for Class‐I amplitude‐versus‐angle and ‐frequency, which corresponds to well‐compacted reservoirs having Class‐I amplitude‐versus‐offset characteristic, the root‐mean‐square amplitude at near offset is boosted at high frequency, whereas seismic energy at far offset is concentrated at low frequency; (ii) for Class‐II amplitude‐versus‐angle and ‐frequency, which corresponds to moderately compacted reservoirs having Class‐II amplitude‐versus‐offset characteristic, the weak seismic amplitude might exhibit a phase‐reversal trend, hence distorting both the seismic waveform and energy distribution; (iii) for Class‐III amplitude‐versus‐angle and ‐frequency, which corresponds to unconsolidated reservoir having Class‐III amplitude‐versus‐offset characteristic, the mesoscopic fluid flow does not exercise an appreciable effect on the seismic waveforms, but there exists a non‐negligible amplitude decay compared with the elastic seismic responses based on the Zoeppritz equation.  相似文献

Prominent postcursors to S/Sdiff waves with delays as large as 26 s are observed in Northern America for Papua New Guinea events. These waves sample the northern side of the Pacific large low shear velocity province revealed by global shear velocity (Vs) tomographic models. The emergence of the postcursors strongly depends on the epicenter-to-station azimuth, indicating that the waveforms are, in general, strongly affected by 3-dimensional (3D) heterogeneities. We limit our focus to an azimuthal range around 60°, measured clockwise from north at the epicenter, where the records show a relatively small azimuthal variation, suggesting a relatively small 3D effect there. In this azimuthal range we attempt 2D structural modelling along the great circle plane towards stations in southern US. First, we use a 2D ray theory to search for a range of models, which generate a postcursor to the main Sdiff phase with a delay time consistent with the observations. Then, for some typical models, we calculated waveforms at periods down to 5 s using the spectral element method. We obtained several models that provide synthetic waveforms in a fair agreement with the observations. The result shows that two types of low Vs regions are required to explain the data. One is a broad and weak anomaly region with a Vs reduction of 5% or so, constituting a part of the Pacific large low shear velocity province at the base of the mantle. The other is a laterally localized strong anomaly region with a more than 25% reduction of Vs within a thickness of at least 80 km and a width on the order of 500 km.  相似文献

传统瞬变电磁方法主要用于金属矿勘查,无法满足油气资源高阻目标体的勘探需要.多通道瞬变电磁(MTEM)系统的出现解决了这一问题.该方法采用伪随机序列发射波形和拟地震观测方式,测量同线电场分量,记录全时发射电流及多道观测数据,实现对高阻薄层的高精度探测.鉴于国内对此方法的研究还处于理论探索阶段,尚未进行相应的仿真模拟和数据处理工作,本文针对m序列发射波形多通道瞬变电磁法的全时正演模拟和反演解释进行研究,为国内正在进行的MTEM仪器系统研发及数据解释提供理论指导.我们利用方波响应移位叠加和电流导数与阶跃响应褶积两种方法实现理论m序列和实际发射波形的全时正演模拟;再通过相关辨识技术,削弱噪声影响,计算脉冲响应;最后对积分得到的阶跃响应进行共中心点道集数据联合反演,获取地下电性分布信息.  相似文献

本文提出了一种用于模拟非轴对称套管井中扇区水泥胶结测井100 kHz 3维瞬态声场的并行算法.采用时域有限差分方法,以及非裂化的完全匹配层吸收边界条件,基于信息传递接口(MPI)并行环境,在计算机集群上实现并行计算.对内边界上的差分方程进行参数平均处理,提高了计算稳定性.通过在轴对称情况下将有限差分模拟结果与实轴积分法计算结果对比,验证了方法的正确性.使用并行有限差分算法,模拟了水泥环有不同大小和在不同方位缺失时非轴对称套管井中8扇区的扇区水泥胶结测井仪的测井波形,并分析了套管波幅度随水泥缺失-换能器夹角的变化.根据模拟和分析结果,得到了非轴对称套管井中新的声场传播规律,并建议了一种用于反演水泥缺失大小和方位的方法.  相似文献

选取2011—2016年发生的38次震中距大于1 000 km的MW≥7.5地震震后3小时的连续波形资料,利用人工检视方法对这38次地震是否触发了我国台湾地区的非火山型微震颤进行了调查。分析结果显示:这38次地震中有4次远震触发了非火山型微震颤,事件持续300—500 s不等。利用网格搜寻方法对此4次微震颤事件进行了定位,确定震中位于台湾中央山脉南段,震源深度为21—53 km。结合研究区内地球物理观测资料,分析认为是由于远震产生的面波改变了研究区内的瞬时应力,进而导致断层蠕滑触发了微震颤事件。   相似文献

With dense seismic arrays and advanced imaging methods, regional three-dimensional(3D) Earth models have become more accurate. It is now increasingly feasible and advantageous to use a 3D Earth model to better locate earthquakes and invert their source mechanisms by fitting synthetics to observed waveforms. In this study, we develop an approach to determine both the earthquake location and source mechanism from waveform information. The observed waveforms are filtered in different frequency bands and separated into windows for the individual phases. Instead of picking the arrival times, the traveltime differences are measured by cross-correlation between synthetic waveforms based on the 3D Earth model and observed waveforms. The earthquake location is determined by minimizing the cross-correlation traveltime differences. We then fix the horizontal location of the earthquake and perform a grid search in depth to determine the source mechanism at each point by fitting the synthetic and observed waveforms. This new method is verified by a synthetic test with noise added to the synthetic waveforms and a realistic station distribution. We apply this method to a series of M_W3.4–5.6 earthquakes in the Longmenshan fault(LMSF) zone, a region with rugged topography between the eastern margin of the Tibetan plateau and the western part of the Sichuan basin. The results show that our solutions result in improved waveform fits compared to the source parameters from the catalogs we used and the location can be better constrained than the amplitude-only approach. Furthermore, the source solutions with realistic topography provide a better fit to the observed waveforms than those without the topography, indicating the need to take the topography into account in regions with rugged topography.  相似文献

In near-surface transient electromagnetic studies, it is desirable to measure the transient response starting from the earliest possible time. This requires the current in the transmitter loop to be switched off quickly, which necessitates working with a low transmitter current. As for deep-target transient electromagnetic studies, the transmitter current is as high as possible. The transmitter current's turn-off waveform and total duration affect the transient voltage response, especially at early times, which is to be accounted for when interpreting transient electromagnetic data. This article discusses the difference in switching off low and high current in a horizontal loop used as the source of the primary magnetic field in the transient electromagnetic method. Low and high currents are turned off in fundamentally different ways. When the current to be switched off is low, the loop can be represented as a symmetric combination of two transmission lines grounded at the middle of the loop perimeter. Such a representation of a loop allows calculating the current turn-off waveform at any point of the loop. The waveform and total duration of switching off a low current does not depend on its magnitude, but is determined by the period of natural oscillations of the current in the loop and the resistance of a shunting resistor. Switching off a low current in a loop can be represented as the sum of stepped current waves travelling along the loop wire. As a consequence, the current at different points of the loop perimeter is turned off at different times. In contrast to a low current, a high current is switched off linearly in time and synchronously at all points of the loop perimeter. The wave phenomena appear only at the very beginning of the current shutdown for a time interval that is much less than the total current turn-off duration. Presentation of the loop using a simple lumped-circuit model predicts the waveform and duration of the high current turn-off that coincide with the measured ones. There are two reasons why the article may be of interest to those engaged in the theory and/or practice of electromagnetic geophysical methods. First, it contributes to a general understanding of how the current in the transmitter loop is turned off. Second, the article shows how the parameters of a transmitter loop determine the current turn-off duration and thus the minimum depth of the transient electromagnetic sounding method.  相似文献

本文采用计算合成地震图与分布在东北地区的11个地震台记录的深源远震波形对比分析的方法,研究该区壳幔结构.结果表明,东北地区地下100km 以上壳幔介质为分层结构,并存在有低速层.莫霍界面较清晰.地壳厚度在31.8——35.8km 之间.   相似文献
