A simplified model of the planar Three-Body Problem is considered in which two particles, forming a close binary, orbit a distant point. A small parameter , related to the distance separating the binary and the remaining mass is defined. The time is eliminated from the equations of motion and an angular variable is used instead. A two-variable expansion procedure is used to find an asymptotic solution. The solution obtained is known completely up to the order ten in , and it is valid for almost arbitrary initial conditions. Specification of the initial conditions leads to a solution which is periodic with respect to a modified time variable.
Résumé On considère un modèle simplifé du Problème Plan des Trois Corps, dans lequel deux particules, formant une binaire proche, sont en orbite par rapport à un troisième point éloigné des deux autres. On définit un petit paramètre , lié à la distance séparant la binaire de la particule restante. On élimine le temps des équations du mouvement et on utilise une variable angulaire comme nouvelle variable indépendante. Une méthode de développement à deux échelles est utilisée permettant d'obtenir une solution asymptotique du problème. La solution obtenue est connue complètement jusqu'àl'ordre dix en , et elle est valable pour des conditions initiales très générales. Pour des conditions initiales bien déterminées, on obtient une solution périodique par rapport à une nouvelle variable temporelle.

Resume On étudie les solutions périodiques d'un système Hamiltonien au voisinage des résonances i/j Ni et Nj sont des nombres entiers premiers entre eux.Dans le cas ou l'hamiltonien à la forme H=H0+H1, une procédure générale est donnée pour trouver les familles de solutions périodiques. Le développement asymptotique de la solution peut être calculé explicitement. L'étude de la stabilité est traitée (Stellmacher, 1984).Une application aux problèmes de dynamique galactique pour un système à trois degrés de liberté est faite pour le voisinage de la résonance 221.
Hamiltonian systems in the neighbourhood of an equilibrium solution. I:Periodic orbits in cases of resonance
We study the periodic solutions of an Hamiltonian system with n degrees of freedom, near an equilibrium point, in the vicinity of the resonances i/jNi/Nj. Ni/Nj are fractions in their lowest terms for any pair (i, j).In this case, a general procedure to find the families of periodic solutions is given. The asymptotic solutions can explicitly be calculated including the periods. (The stability will be presented in Stellmacher (1984).) An application to a galactic dynamics problem in a system with three degrees of freedom near the resonances 221, is analytically treated in detail.

The effect of small perturbations and in the coriolis and the centrifugal forces respectively on the stability of the triangular points in the restricted problem of three bodies with variable mass has been studied. It is found that the range of stability of triangular points increases or decreases depending upon whether the perturbation point (, ) lies in one or the other of the two parts in which the (, ) plane is divided by the line J8–J9=0 where J8 and J9 depend upon , the constant due to the variation in mass governed by Jeans' law.  相似文献

A model of a first generation intermediate star of 5M , with Z=0 has been considered. The model is at an advanced stage of its evolution and has a double shell burning. It burns helium in the inner shell, and hydrogen, via CNO cycle, in the outer shell. =(log/log) T and T =(log/logT) were computed allowing for the oscillations of the relative mass abundance of the reagents in nuclear reactions. Including =(log/log) T and =(log/logT) of mean molecular weight and the effect of the oscillations of abundances due to nuclear reactions, stability was studied. Contrary to the results of the static calculations, we found that instability due to the excitation mechanism provided by the high temperature sensitivity of energy generation rate propagates up to the surface. Thus the model in question was found to be unstable against radial adiabatic pulsations, in its fundamental mode.  相似文献

The clear sky emissivity 0 and the ground emissivity g in Bahrain is studied. The study reveals that the annual value of 0 is 0.88 ± 0.039 relating to the maximum and the minimum values in August and February, respectively. Meanwhile, the annual value of g is 0.338 ± 0.228, where the maximum and the minimum values are in July and January, respectively. The location and the stability of the libration points in the restricted problem have been studied when small perturbation and are given to the Coriolis and the centrifugal forces respectively. It is seen that the pointsL 4 andL 5 form nearly equilateral triangles with the primaries and the pointsL 1,L 2,L 3 remain collinear. It is further observed that for the pointsL 4 andL 5, the range of stability increases or decreases depending upon whether the point (, ) lies in one or the other of the two parts in which the (, ) plane is divided by the line 36-19=0 and the stability of the collinear points is not influenced by the perturbations and they remain unstable.  相似文献

The relegation algorithm extends the method of normalization by Lie transformations. Given a Hamiltonian that is a power series = 0+ 1+ ... of a small parameter , normalization constructs a map which converts the principal part 0into an integral of the transformed system — relegation does the same for an arbitrary function [G]. If the Lie derivative induced by [G] is semi-simple, a double recursion produces the generator of the relegating transformation. The relegation algorithm is illustrated with an elementary example borrowed from galactic dynamics; the exercise serves as a standard against which to test software implementations. Relegation is also applied to the more substantial example of a Keplerian system perturbed by radiation pressure emanating from a rotating source.This revised version was published online in October 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Résumé On considère souvent que le milieu coronal est en équilibre hydrostatique si bien que l'étude de la distribution verticale de la matière est censée donner une bonne estimation de la température coronale (Billings, 1966). De fait, le gradient vertical de densité observé dans la basse couronne (altitudes inférieures à 300 000 km) où l'effet du vent solaire est peu important conduit à une température hydrostatique de 1 500 000 K en moyenne, en assez bon accord avec les déterminations fondées sur l'étude du rayonnement radioélectrique et sur celle de l'ionisation. Il semblerait néanmoins souhaitable de chercher à préciser cette concordance moyenne en comparant dans le détail les variations de la température coronale et celles du gradient vertical de densité pour voir si l'hypothèse de l'équilibre hydrostatique est partout vérifiée.Cette comparaison ne peut être tentée qu'à partir d'un jeu d'observations suffisamment variées pour que l'on puisse déterminer de façon indépendante la densité et la température dans une même région de la couronne: un tel matériel est disponible grâce aux observations coronales effectuées entre 1967 et 1969 à l'Observatoire du Pic du Midi, qui comportent notamment, pour 81 journées d'observations, (a) la mesure de l'intensité des raies 5303 Å et 6374 Å, à 1 du bord, tous les 5° autour du Soleil (b) la mesure de la brillance de la couronne K pour les mêmes angles de position, à 15 et à 5 du bord. Sans discuter ici des caractéristiques propres à ces deux catégories d'observations, qui ont déjà été décrites dans d'autres publications, nous allons chercher dans ce travail à les utiliser pour mettre à l'épreuve la validité de l'hypothèse de l'équilibre hydrostatique dans la basse couronne.
The observations performed at the Pic du Midi Observatory with a K-coronameter at different altitudes above the solar limb allow us to compute the vertical density gradient of the corona, therefore giving the value of the hydrostatic temperature T h computed under the assumption of hydrostatic equilibrium in the lower corona. We compare T h with the ratio r = I 5303/I 6374 of the intensities of the green and the red coronal lines observed at the same position angle and on the same day: r is expected to yield the proportion of cold regions and hot regions along the line of sight under study. As a matter of fact no relation appears between individual values of T h and r nor between averaged values of T h and r (Figure 1). In a second step we compute the 5303 Å emission which should be observed, for selected position angles where 6374 Å emissions are faint, making use of the electron density values which can be deduced from the K corona observations. The ratio q = (I 5303) obs/(I 5303) calc of observed to computed 5303 Å intensities should depend upon the corona temperature according to the ionization theory. But again, we do not find the expected relation since Figure 2 displays only a large scatter of points. We conclude that large deviations to hydrostatic equilibrium probably occur in the corona but it is still possible that the presence of arch structures in the lower corona makes it unrealistic to interpret a ratio of intensities integrated along different lines of sight in term of a regular density gradient, although this procedure has been universally used up to now.

In the theory of supergravity (N=1), the supersymmetric version of general relativity, and for the Kasner cosmological model (Bianchi type I) we find a non-trivial solution (for the metric and spinor-vector) under the most simple assumption =11 + 22; 12+21=0 and for a special choosed gaugeN=1,N j=0, 0=0. It is shown that, to any change of variables:q i=qi(r, t) (i=1,..., n; =1,...,n+m; mn) increasing the number of variables, it is possible to associate a Mathieu's transformation and conversely. The results are applied to the theory of the osculating plane of motion.

The equilibrium point O of an autonomous Hamiltonian system of two degrees of freedom is considered for small-oscillation frequencies related as 2=21+. If under the precise resonance (=0) the equilibrium is unstable, the inner diameter () of the domain of stability containing the point O is estimated. It is shown that for the normalized variables ()/b where b is the corresponding resonance coefficient. The estimates () for other main resonances are reported.  相似文献

Expressions for the stimulated Compton effect are derived that are complete to order /ge/, where is the photon energy in the laboratory system, and =m 0 C 2 is the electron energy. Explicit formulas are given for the energy flow between a relativistic electron and a radiation field that obeys a power law so that the number of photons is proportional to –m–1. R'esumé Les raies et le rayonnement continu de l'hydrogène sont calculés, dans le cas solaire, en tenant compte des écarts à l'équilibre thermodynamique local.La comparaison des résultats, interprétés par la théorie de la formation des raies de Jefferies et Thomas, avec les observations donne des renseignements sur le modèle de l'atmosphère solaire.L'énergie émise par Ly dépend très fortement de la densité électronique. Seuls les modèles á palier de température dans la haute chromosphère donnent un profil de Ly à dépression centrale.La raie H, qui est contrôlée essentiellement pour les photoionisations dépend surtout du modèle de photosphère; toutefois les modèles de chromosphère à fortes température et densité électroniques ont une influence sur le profil de H.
Summary The continuous and line spectrum of hydrogen emitted by the sun is computed, taking deviations of local thermal equilibrium into account. The theory of line formation as given by Jefferies and Thomas has been applied to the computations; a comparison of these results with the observations gives information on the solar atmospheric model.The energy emitted by Lyman has been computed for a two- and three-level atom: it appears to increase slightly with the number of levels. The energies, computed with the HAO model and the model of Coates, are larger than the observed values. The core of the Lyman profile is determined by collisions; the peaks are formed at a height where the electron temperature is about 20 000 °K; the energy depends very strongly on the electron density of the model.It is shown that the profile of Lyman only shows a central self reversal if the model of the high chromosphere has a temperature plateau.An interpretation of the observed distance of the peaks of the Lyman and Lyman line profiles is possible; it can also be shown why the distance of the Lyman peaks to the line centre is always of the order of 0.2 Å.The residual central intensity of H increases slightly with the number of atomic levels; the value computed with a five level atom, with the HAO chromospheric model, and the Utrecht photospheric model (1964) does not differ very much from the observed value: it is slightly smaller than the observed value and the computed profile is narrower than the observed profile.In the case of the HAO model the source function of H is dominated by the photo-ionization terms; nevertheless, the collision terms are not much smaller than the photo-ionization terms; the residual central intensity of H computed with a chromospheric model similar to the interspicular model of Athay and Thomas but assuming a higher electron temperature and density is larger than the observed value.

In connection with the problem of the initial singularity in the framework of the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor isotropic cosmology, the dynamics of the early stages of the expansion is studied on the basis of the general analytical solutions for flat models withP=n (0n1). The sourceless scalar field, which plays a role of effective source of the geometry, entirely changes the character of the initial expansion, whereas in the absense of it the dynamics of the models almost does not differ from GR-case. If the connecting parameter <–6 then the sourceless scalar field removes the initial singularity for any equations of state, and provides the regular transition form the compression to the expansion through the non-stationary state with . If is positive, the singularity of vacuum nature necessarily exists; the sourceless scalar-field being prevalent over the material sources (at least for P1/3) near the singularity. For P>1/3 parallel with the vacuum singularity the singular initial state with dominant role of gravitating matter is possible. In the course of expansion, the influence of gravitating matter and curvature-which as nonessential at the early stage in comparison with sourceless -field — becomes dominant, and all models approach the Machian ones which differs slightly from corresponding GR-models. If is negative (<–6) the sourceless -field slows down the initial expansion and increases essentially the real age of the Universe; it can also influence the primordial nuclear synthesis by diminishing in particular the content of He4. It is shown that a knowledge of the sign gives us the information about the nature of the initial Universe state.
Zusammenfassung In diesem Artikel betrachtet man die Einwirkung des quellosen skalaren Feld auf die Dynamik der früheren Stadien der Ausdehnung der kosmologischen Modellen. Man zeigt auch die Möglichkeit der Existenz eines unsingulären ursprünglichen Zustand in der Brans-Dickeschen skalar-tensorischen Kosmologie.

Résumé On considère dans cet article l'influence du champ scalaire sans source sur la dynamique des étapes premières de l'expansion des modèles cosmologiques. On montre, en outre, la possibilité de l'existence de l'état initiale nonsingulier dans la cosmologie scalaire-tensorique de Brans-Dicke.

An expansion of the force function ofn-body dynamical systems, where the equations of motion are expressed in the Jacobian coordinate system, is shown to give rise naturally to a set of (n–1) (n–2) dimensionless parameters ki li {i = 2,...,n;k = 2,...,i – 1 (i 3);l =i + 1,...,n (i n – 1)}, representative of the size of the disturbances on the Keplerian orbits of the various bodies. The expansion is particularized to the casen=3 which involves the consideration of only two parameters 23 and 32. Further, the work of Szebehely and Zare (1977) is reviewed briefly with reference to a sufficient condition for the stability of corotational coplanar three-body systems, in which two of the bodies form a binary system. This condition is sufficient in the sense that it precludes any possibility of an exchange of bodies, i.e. Hill type stability, however, it is not a necessary condition. These two approaches are then combined to yield regions of stability or instability in terms of the parameters 23 and 32 for any system of given masses and orbital characteristics (neglecting eccentricities and inclinations) with the following result: that there is a readily applicable rule to assess the likelihood of stability or instability of any given triple system in terms of 23 and 32.Treating a system ofn bodies as a set of disturbed three-body systems we use existing data from the solar system, known triple systems and numerical experiments in the many-body problem to plot a large number of triple systems in the 23, 32 plane and show the results agree well with the 23, 32 analysis above (eccentricities and inclinations as appropriate to most real systems being negligible). We further deal briefly with the extension of the criteria to many-body systems wheren>4, and discuss several interesting cases of dynamical systems.  相似文献

By solving the Euler hydrodynamical equations we have obtained closed form solutions for the angular velocities and pressures of a three stratified non-confocal heterogeneous oblate spheroid. Limiting and particular solutions cases, such as a spheroid with N layers, a stratified spheroid with the same eccentricities, as well as confocal layered spheroids are also explicitly written down. As an application, we have numerically estimated planet Earth's outer and inner cores' ellipticities to be o=1/413.318 and i=1/424.616, respectively. These Earth's ellipticities values are in good agreement with those found in the literature.  相似文献

Résumé Une formulation exponentielle de la loi empirique de Titus-Bode a été proposée par Basano et Hugues. Ces auteurs introduisent l'hypothèse de trois planètes manquantes ou trous. Toutes les planètes obéissent à la relation a n = n qui donne les demi-grands axes a des planètes pour des valeurs entières de n.Nous proposons une nouvelle méthode qui permet de retrouver la relation de Basano et Hugues pour le système solaire. Nous appliquons cette méthode aux systèmes de satellites de Jupiter, Saturne et Uranus en introduisant des trous pour combler les lacunes dans les séquences de satellites. Nous en tirons trois relations exponentielles de distance, analogues à la relation de Basano et Hugues. Nous constatons que les coefficients sont semblables pour les systèmes solaire, jovien et uranien alors que le coefficient du système de Saturne vaut approximativement la racine carrée des trois autres .Nous expliquons cet espacement exponentiel grâce à un modèle simple d'une nébuleuse gazeuse initiale soumise à de petites perturbations qui engendrent des oscillations dans la distribution de densité. Les minima de la densité perturbée sont donnés par les zéros des fonctions de Bessel décrivant la propagation de la perturbation. Les positions des maxima correspondent aux sites d'accrétion.Tous les trous introduits dans les parties intérieures des systèmes de satellites sont comblés par les anneaux et petits satellites. Dans le système d'Uranus, il reste deux trous vacants qui pourraient être occupés par des petits satellites non encore découverts.
Exponential distance laws for satellite systems
A revised Titius-Bode law for the Solar system was proposed by Basano and Hugues, by introducing three missing planets. This law can be written a n = n (with = 0.2853 AU and = 1.5226), which gives the distances a n of the nth planet for successive integers n.We propose a new method to find this Basano-Hugues law for the Solar system. Based upon the comparison of the ratios of successive distances, this method can be applied to the satellite systems of the three giants planets Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus by introducing missing satellites to fill the gaps in satellites sequences. We find three exponential distance relations, similar to that of Basano-Hugues. We note that the coefficients for the Solar, Jovian and Uranian systems are almost equal while the Saturnian system's coefficient is nearly the square root of that of the three others.We explain that exponential spacing by a simple model of an initial gaseous nebula subject to small perturbations generating oscillations in the density distribution. The minima of the perturbed density are given by the zeros of Bessel functions describing the perturbation propagation. The maxima positions correspond to accretion sites.All the empty places in the inside parts of satellite systems are occupied by rings and small satellites. In the Uranian system, there are two empty places which could be filled by new undiscovered small satellites.

In the present paper we prove a theorem giving rigorous estimates in the problem of bringing to normal form a nearly integrable Hamiltonian system, using methods of classical perturbation theory, i.e. series expansions in the small parameter . For any order of normalization, we give a lower bound * r for the convergence radius of the normalized Hamiltonian, and a greater bound for the remainder, i.e. the non normalized part of the Hamiltonian. As an application, we consider the case of weakly coupled harmonic oscillators with highly nonresonant frequencies and show how, by optimizing, for fixed , the orderr of normalization, one gets for the remainder a greater bound of the formAe (*1/) a , with positive constantsA,a and 1 * exponential estimate of Nekhoroshev's type.  相似文献

A small particle moves in the vicinity of two masses, forming a close binary, in orbit about a distant mass. Unique, uniformly valid solutions of this four-body problem are found for motion near both equilateral triangle points of the binary system in terms of a small parameter , where the primaries move in accordance with a uniformly-valid three-body solution. Accuracy is maintained within a constant errorO(8), and the solutions are uniformly valid as tends to zero for time intervalsO(–3). Orbital position errors nearL 4 andL 5 of the Earth-Moon system are found to be less than 5% when numerically-generated periodic solutions are used as a standard of comparison.  相似文献

We study the structure of chaos in a simple Hamiltonian system that does no have an escape energy. This system has 5 main periodic orbits that are represented on the surface of section by the points (1)O(0,0), (2)C 1,C 2y c, 0), (3)B 1,B 2(O,±1) and (4) the boundary . The periodic orbits (1) and (4) have infinite transitions from stability (S) to instability (U) and vice-versa; the transition values of are given by simple approximate formulae. At every transitionS U a set of 4 asymptotic curves is formed atO. For larger the size and the oscillations of these curves grow until they destroy the closed invariant curves that surroundO, and they intersect the asymptotic curves of the orbitsC 1,C 2 at infinite heteroclinic points. At every transitionU S these asymptotic curves are duplicated and they start at two unstable invariant points bifurcating fromO. At the transition itself the asymptotic curves fromO are tangent to each other. The areas of the lobes fromO increase with ; these lobes increase even afterO becomes stable again. The asymptotic curves of the unstable periodic orbits follow certain rules. Whenever there are heteroclinic points the asymptotic curves of one unstable orbit approach the asymptotic curves of another unstable orbit in a definite way. Finally we study the tangencies and the spirals formed by the asymptotic curves of the orbitsB 1,B 2. We find indications that the number of spiral rotations tends to infinity as . Therefore new tangencies between the asymptotic curves appear for arbitrarily large . As a consequence there are infinite new families of stable periodic orbits that appear for arbitrarily large .  相似文献
