The origin of the oil in Barremian–Hauterivian and Albian age source rock samples from two oil wells (SPO-2 and SPO-3) in the South Pars oil field has been investigated by analyzing the quantity of total organic carbon (TOC) and thermal maturity of organic matter (OM). The source rocks were found in the interval 1,000–1,044 m for the Kazhdumi Formation (Albian) and 1,157–1,230 m for the Gadvan Formation (Barremian–Hauterivian). Elemental analysis was carried out on 36 samples from the source rock candidates (Gadvan and Kazhdumi formations) of the Cretaceous succession of the South Pars Oil Layer (SPOL). This analysis indicated that the OM of the Barremian–Hauterivian and Albian samples in the SPOL was composed of kerogen Types II and II–III, respectively. The average TOC of analyzed samples is less than 1 wt%, suggesting that the Cretaceous source rocks are poor hydrocarbon (HC) producers. Thermal maturity and Ro values revealed that more than 90 % of oil samples are immature. The source of the analyzed samples taken from Gadvan and Kazhdumi formations most likely contained a content high in mixed plant and marine algal OM deposited under oxic to suboxic bottom water conditions. The Pristane/nC17 versus Phytane/nC18 diagram showed Type II–III kerogen of mixture environments for source rock samples from the SPOL. Burial history modeling indicates that at the end of the Cretaceous time, pre-Permian sediments remained immature in the Qatar Arch. Therefore, lateral migration of HC from the nearby Cretaceous source rock kitchens toward the north and south of the Qatar Arch is the most probable origin for the significant oils in the SPOL.  相似文献

Twenty organic rich outcrop samples from the Belait and Setap Shale formations in the Klias Peninsula area, West Sabah, were analysed by means of organic petrology and geochemical techniques. 酒西盆地主力烃源岩为下白垩统下沟组和赤金堡组暗色半深湖相-深湖相的白云质泥岩和泥质白云岩,是典型的湖相碳酸盐岩烃源岩。通过对酒西盆地下白垩统二百多块湖相碳酸盐岩烃源岩详细的有机岩石学研究,解剖了湖相碳酸盐岩烃源岩中有机质的赋存形式,揭示了藻纹层为有机质纹层的主要发育形式,其与富泥晶白云石纹层和富粘土纹层构成湖相碳酸盐岩烃源岩特有的"三元式纹层"沉积结构,系统总结了各显微组分的光性、成因、生烃性及分布规律,提出了以全岩和干酪根为基础的湖相碳酸盐岩有机显微组分分类方案,首次鉴定出对酒西盆地油气有贡献的主要生烃组分为腐泥无定形体、腐殖无定形体以及浮游藻类体、孢粉体、壳屑体五种有机显微组分。  相似文献

Palynological and palynofacies analyses were carried out on some Cretaceous samples from the Qattara Rim-1X borehole, north Western Desert, Egypt. The recorded palynoflora enabled the recognition of two informal miospore biozones arranged from oldest to youngest as Elaterosporites klaszii-Afropollis jardinus Assemblage Zone (mid Albian) and Elaterocolpites castelainii–Afropollis kahramanensis Assemblage Zone (late Albian–mid Cenomanian). A poorly fossiliferous but however, datable interval (late Cenomanian–Turonian to ?Campanian–Maastrichtian) representing the uppermost part of the studied section was also recorded. The palynofacies and visual thermal maturation analyses indicate a mature terrestrially derived organic matter (kerogen III) dominates the sediments of the Kharita and Bahariya formations and thus these two formations comprise potential mature gas source rocks. The sediments of the Abu Roash Formation are mostly dominated by mature amorphous organic matter (kerogen II) and the formation is regarded as a potential mature oil source rock in the well. The palynomorphs and palynofacies analyses suggest deposition of the clastics of the Kharita and Bahariya formations (middle Albian and upper Albian–middle Cenomanian) in a marginal marine setting under dysoxic–anoxic conditions. By contrast, the mixed clastic-carbonate sediments of the Abu Roash Formation (upper Cenomanian–Turonian) and the carbonates of the Khoman Formation (?Campanian–Maastrichtian) were mainly deposited in an inner shallow marine setting under prevailing suboxic–anoxic conditions as a result of the late Cenomanian and the Campanian marine transgressions. This environmental change from marginal to open (inner shelf) basins reflects the vertical change in the type of the organic matter and its corresponding hydrocarbon-prone types. A regional warm and semi-arid climate but with a local humid condition developed near/at the site of the well is thought to have prevailed.  相似文献

准噶尔盆地西南缘四棵树凹陷主要分布侏罗系、白垩系和古近系3套潜在烃源岩,其中侏罗系八道湾组烃源岩有机质丰度较高,有机质类型以Ⅲ型为主,部分为Ⅱ2型,生烃潜力较高;三工河组烃源岩有机质丰度、类型明显偏差,生烃潜力较低;西山窑组泥岩有机质丰度较高,但由于受西山窑组沉积末期构造抬升导致地层剥蚀的影响,烃源岩厚度较小,总体上生烃条件较差;白垩系烃源岩在四棵树凹陷最大厚度可达300 m,处于低熟阶段,生烃潜力较小;古近系烃源岩有机质丰度较高、类型好,但成熟度偏低,生烃条件较差。侏罗系八道湾组烃源岩处于主要生油阶段;白垩系烃源岩已达到生烃门限,处于低熟—中等成熟阶段;古近系烃源岩成熟度偏低,目前仍处于未熟到低熟阶段。油源对比表明,四棵树凹陷北部斜坡及车排子凸起带原油主要来源于四棵树凹陷及沙湾凹陷侏罗系烃源灶,后期受到白垩系低熟油源灶的侵染,古近系烃源岩的油源贡献有限。  相似文献

The Miran oilfield is one of the new oil fields in Kurdistan region, northern Iraq, located in the Sulaimani Governorate. Twelve Cuttings samples from the Upper Jurassic Naokelekan and Barsarin formations in well Miran-2 were selected for detailed organic geochemical investigations. All the samples were subjected to bitumen extraction in order to study any biomarkers present using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The dominance of low-molecular-weight n-alkanes and other calculated parameters indicate a marine source for the organic matter derived from planktonic algal and bacterial precursors deposited under anoxic conditions. The isoprenoids/n-alkanes ratios indicate type II and mixed II/III kerogen for both formations. The type II/III kerogen is characteristic of transitional environment under anoxic to dysoxic conditions as also indicated by the homohopane index for studied samples. More argillaceous carbonate rocks were deposited when reducing conditions were prevalent. Medium to high gammacerane index values in the rock extracts probably indicate a stratified water column during deposition of both formations. The studied samples from both formations have entered peak oil window maturity as reflected from the biomarker ratios from both aliphatic and aromatic fractions of the extracts.  相似文献

东营凹陷牛38井沙河街组三段烃源岩从沙三下亚段向沙三中-上亚段为一从高水位深湖相向低水位前三角洲相发展的沉积旋回,该沉积环境控制从下向上发育不同类型的有机质。相应地,该段烃源岩品质从下向上变差,其中沙三中亚段上部及沙三中亚段中部烃源岩产烃能力小,沙三下亚段烃源岩整体品质好,局部存在优质烃源岩。其优劣性体现了在该段烃源岩中,Ⅰ型干酪根具有高的生产力,而Ⅲ型、Ⅱ2型干酪根生烃潜力很低,基本为无效有机质。计算结果显示不同数据点的烃源岩单位质量原始生烃潜量可相差3个数量级,体现了烃源岩存在强烈的非均质性。有机碳的非均质性分布为其提供了物质基础,而湖盆的旋回式沉积及湖平面的波动性变化是其内在原因。同时,本文也提供一种计算生排烃量的新方法,结果表明该方法较为有效可行。  相似文献

松科1井是中国大陆第一口以白垩系陆相地层为主的全取心科学探井。通过取心样品的系统地球化学分析,研究了泥岩有机质丰度、类型、成熟演化及有机质沉积环境在纵向上的变化特征。结果表明:青一段泥岩有机质丰度最高,有机碳一般大于2%,平均为3.21%,发育优质烃源岩,其次在青二、三段、姚家组和嫩江组一、二段中也均发育有机质丰度相对较高的源岩层。纵向上泥岩有机质丰度显示出从高向低的9个韵律性变化,反映了湖相沉积过程中气候与水体环境、生物发育及有机质保存条件的周期性变化。青一段泥岩有机质类型主要为Ⅰ型,较高的甾烷含量反映以藻类输入为主,较高的伽马蜡烷和低的Pr/Ph及甲藻甾烷的存在反映该时期水体具有盐度分层和强还原的沉积环境,可能与海侵有关。青二、三段泥岩有机质类型主要为Ⅰ—Ⅱ型,伽马蜡烷和Pr/Ph等多项指标反映出该时期水体呈现振荡变化,有机质受陆源影响加大。姚家组有机质类型变化大,一部分为Ⅰ—Ⅱ1型,另一部分则Ⅱ2—Ⅲ型,较高丰度的泥岩通常具有较好的有机质类型,多项指标反映出该时期沉积环境波动较大。嫩江组一、二段泥岩主要以Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型为主,4-甲基甾烷的存在反映具有沟鞭藻的贡献,较高的伽马蜡烷和低的Pr/Ph反映水体有盐度分层。有机质成熟度指标反映青二、三段中部泥岩开始进入成熟,源岩开始大量生油的深度在1500m。  相似文献

宾参1井是松辽盆地北部宾县断陷中的第一口参数井,钻遇白垩系地层,自下至上依次为沙河子组、营城组、登娄库组、泉头组和青山口组。在对宾参1井白垩系暗色泥岩进行一系列有机地球化学样品分析测试的基础上,从有机碳(TOC)、氯仿沥青"A"、有效碳(PC)、生烃潜量Pg(S1+S2)、热解峰温Tmax值、镜质体反射率(Ro)、烃源岩气相色谱特征、干酪根碳同位素特征、干酪根元素特征和源岩甾萜烷特征等方面着手,从有机质丰度、有机质类型和有机质成熟度三个角度认识该井白垩系烃源岩,并进行烃源岩的初步评价,认为:(1)青一段干酪根主要为Ⅱ1和Ⅱ2型,其中、下部已进入生油门限,属于非—差烃源岩,个别深度段为较好烃源岩,其上部及青二、三段处于未成熟阶段;(2)泉头组和登娄库组干酪根主要为Ⅲ型,已进入成熟生油阶段,前者属于非—差烃源岩,后者属于差烃源岩;(3)营城组和沙河子组干酪根主要为Ⅲ型,有些层段为Ⅱ2型,处于高成熟—过成熟阶段,以生气为主。对该井白垩系烃源岩的认识和初步评价为勘探程度极低的宾县凹陷含油气前景的评价预测和石油地质研究奠定了基础,具有现实意义和重要的理论意义。  相似文献

The Avengco Basin is located in the western part of the Tibetan Plateau and is similar to the Nima Basin in the central part of the plateau and the Lunpola Basin in the eastern part in terms of sedimentary characteristics and tectonic settings, which are well known to provide a good source rock potential. However, the organic geochemical characteristics of the Paleocene-Eocene potential source rocks in the Avengco Basin have been under debate. Thirty-four marl and mudstone outcrop samples of the Niubao Formation in the Avengco Basin were collected and subjected to the following analyses: total organic carbon (TOC), Rock–Eval pyrolysis, stable carbon isotopes of kerogen, gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Here, we present the results indicating the organic matter of the upper Niubao Formation is mainly composed of Type II kerogen with a mixed source, which is dominated by algae. However, the lower Niubao Formation has the less oil-prone Type II–III kerogen, and the sources of the organic matter are mainly terrestrial plants with less plankton. In addition, the samples are thermally immature to marginally mature. The Niubao Formation was deposited in an anoxic–oxic environment which was brackish with an imperceptible stratified water column. The upper Niubao Formation has a medium to good hydrocarbon-generating potential. However, the lower Niubao Formation has a zero to poor hydrocarbon-generating potential.  相似文献

烃源岩是油气生成的物质基础,白垩系烃源岩以29%的比例居全球各层系之首。通过古地磁与地理信息数据耦合,以及对所有白垩系烃源岩层位数据的统计和对比,恢复了白垩系烃源岩的分布特征,分析了其发育环境。结果表明:(1)白垩系烃源岩主要发育于阿普特阶—土伦阶(占白垩系烃源岩的52 63%)。(2)白垩系烃源岩主要发育于2种构造、沉积环境:陆表海环境(非典型被动陆缘)和裂谷环境。(3)白垩纪早期,烃源岩干酪根以Ⅰ型为主;白垩纪中期,烃源岩干酪根过渡为以Ⅱ型为主,Ⅰ型较少;白垩纪晚期,Ⅲ型干酪根烃源岩迅速增多。(4)白垩纪大陆裂解边缘出现富有机质沉积,上升流促进生物繁盛,高温、干旱的气候使陆表浅海区盐度较高,其还原环境有利于烃源岩的保存。  相似文献

现代海洋生物有机组分的动态变化过程是利用正演法评价海相优质烃源岩的重要中间环节, 可以为估算沉积过程中有机质的损耗提供参考.从化学组成来看, 生物体的脂类与原油成分最为接近, 而且与其他生化组分相比, 脂类的化学性质相对稳定, 可以长期保存在地层中, 因此脂类是最重要的生油母质.温度、盐度、CO2等环境条件以及生物的种类和生长阶段对生物脂类组成有重要影响, 不同环境条件和不同种类的生物对烃源岩有机质的贡献也不同.海水中的有机质在沉积过程中受原始生产力和氧化还原条件的影响.在特定生境中, 在一定的生产力范围内, 沉积有机质的通量与生产力有正相关关系.超过此范围, 沉积有机质通量与生产力关系不大.氧化条件下有机质降解速度快, 而还原条件则有利于沉积有机质的保存.生物膜的形成不仅使有机质更容易沉积, 而且降低了有机质被降解的机会.地质历史时期生物膜的识别对研究烃源岩有机质的保存具有重要意义.   相似文献

羌塘盆地是青藏高原最大的含油气盆地,也是中国潜在的石油战略后备区之一。新的油气地质调查发现,盆地内发育优质古生代烃源岩,主要为石炭系、二叠系的暗色泥岩,具有机碳含量高的特征,机质类型主要为Ⅱ2-Ⅲ型,Ro值大多为1.50%~2.40%,处于高成熟-过成熟阶段。前那底岗日组的古风化壳是盆地内新发现的潜在的储集层,其覆盖于二叠系以及前人已确定的三叠系肖茶卡组地层之上。新发现的上侏罗统-下白垩世白龙冰河组泥灰岩夹膏盐、页岩是区域上较好的盖层。盆地内近年来在地表发现油气显示250余处,其中最重要的是发现了现代天然气泄漏的泥火山,并采集到了天然气样品。综合考虑沉积相、烃源岩、储集层、盖层、保存条件等因素,优选了6个有利区块,其中,托纳木和半岛湖区块作为潜力目标区进行了勘探。  相似文献

The Upper Jurassic Madbi Formation, located in the Masila Basin, eastern Yemen, represents the major source rock in this basin. Organic rich shales from two oilfields (Kharir and Wadi Taribah) were analysed to evaluate the type and origin of the organic matter and to determine the factors controlling its deposition. This study is based on geochemical analyses of whole rock (total organic carbon content, Rock-Eval pyrolysis and carbon isotope data) and petrographic analyses on organic matter (kerogen maceral composition and palynofacies) by optical and scanning electron microscopy. Organic petrographic composition of kerogen shows that the Madbi shale is characterized by high amounts of organic matter, consisting predominantly of yellow fluorescing amorphous organic matter and alginite of marine origin. Terrigenous organic materials such as vitrinite, spores and pollen are present in low quantities. The predominance of marine plankton, as indicated by visual kerogen analysis, is consistent with reported carbon isotopic values. It appears that the high amounts of organic matter in the Madbi shale succession might be mainly due to good preservation under suboxic–anoxic conditions. Consequently the Madbi shales possess very good petroleum generative potential, owing to high content of hydrogen rich Type II and I oil prone kerogen.  相似文献

Subsurface Late Cretaceous succession has been recovered from 16/G-1, an offshore exploratory well that located in the Qamar Basin, eastern Republic of Yemen. This paper deals with the study of source rocks, maturation, hydrocarbon evaluation, and palynofacies of the Late Cretaceous Mukalla and Dabut Formations of the Mahra Group. These two formations consist of an intercalation of argillaceous, carbonates, siltstones, sandstones and coal layers. The sedimentary organic matter as amorphous organic matter, phytoclasts and palynomorphs are investigated and identified under transmitted light microscope. Spores, pollen, dinoflagellates, algae, fungi, and acritarchs in addition to foraminiferal lining test have been also identified. The optical and organic geochemical studies were used to evaluate the source rock, maturation and its hydrocarbons potentiality. The thermal alteration index, vitrinite reflectance, rock-eval pyrolysis, and palynofacies were also used. The upward increase in the relative abundance of marine versus terrestrial input reflects a major marine transgression and retregration cycles from Campanian to Maastrichtian stages. The Mukalla and Dabut Formations are late immature to mature stages with kerogen types II and III. The hydrocarbons generation potentiality of two formations is oil and wet gas prone indicators.  相似文献

从地层形成的构造古地理环境、地层的厚度及空间展布以及烃源岩的岩性特征等方面,对美国东部阿巴拉契亚盆地中泥盆统Marcellus页岩和下扬子地区的下志留统高家边组黑色页岩作对比研究。结果发现,两套地层形成于相似的古地理环境,都沉积于前陆盆地早期缺氧的闭塞水体中,都是有利于细粒的有机质保存形成黑色页岩的环境。两套地层的分布和埋深都受到同沉积构造及其后期改造作用的相互影响,同时也对其中页岩的空间分布和勘探前景起重要的控制作用。两套页岩都是较好的烃源岩,含有较高的总有机碳(TOC)和脆性矿物,且都达到了高成熟阶段,生气和产气潜力大。相对于Marcellus页岩,高家边组黑色页岩TOC含量较低,埋深更大,而且受到多次构造作用的改造,使得其勘探风险相对较大。  相似文献

通过Rock-Eval、饱和烃色谱质谱、电感耦合等离子质谱分析和X荧光光谱等测试方法,对南襄盆地泌阳凹陷核桃园组三段2油组和3油组泥页岩开展了有机质丰度、类型,生物标志化合物特征和常微量元素参数综合分析,探讨了湖相富有机质泥页岩地球化学特征及其沉积环境,并建立了富有机质泥页岩发育模式。研究结果表明,2油组沉积时期,泥页岩有机碳含量相对较低,湖盆内的有机质由水生生物和陆源有机质共同供给,有机质类型从Ⅰ型到Ⅲ型均有分布,高盐度下的水体分层和还原环境为有机质提供了良好的保存条件,但高盐环境抑制了水生生物的繁盛,一定程度上降低了湖泊生产力,此外较高的陆源碎屑的输入稀释了湖泊生产力,不利于有机质的富集;而3油组沉积时期,泥页岩有机碳含量相对较高,有机质类型以Ⅰ型和Ⅱ1型为主,尽管水体盐度降低,分层作用减弱,但是缺氧的还原环境为有机质提供了保存条件,该环境下的湖泊高生产力是富有机质页岩形成的主控因素。  相似文献

Organic geochemical analysis and palynological studies of the organic matters of subsurface Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous Formations for two wells in Ajeel oil field, north Iraq showed evidences for hydrocarbon generation potential especially for the most prolific source rocks Chia Gara and Sargelu Formations. These analyses include age assessment of Upper Jurassic (Tithonian) to Lower Cretaceous (Berriasian) age and Middle Jurassic (Bathonian–Tithonian) age for Chia Gara and Sargelu Formations, respectively, based on assemblages of mainly dinoflagellate cyst constituents. Rock-Eval pyrolysis have indicated high total organic carbon (TOC) content of up to 18.5 wt%, kerogen type II with hydrogen index of up to 415 mg HC/g TOC, petroleum potential of 0.70–55.56 kg hydrocarbon from each ton of rocks and mature organic matter of maximum temperature reached (Tmax) range between 430 and 440 °C for Chia Gara Formation, while Sargelu Formation are of TOC up to 16 wt% TOC, Kerogen type II with hydrogen index of 386 mg HC/g TOC, petroleum potential of 1.0–50.90 kg hydrocarbon from each ton of rocks, and mature organic matter of Tmax range between 430 and 450 °C. Qualitative studies are done in this study by textural microscopy used in assessing amorphous organic matter for palynofacies type belonging to kerogen type A which contain brazinophyte algae, Tasmanites, and foraminifera test linings, as well as the dinoflagellate cysts and spores, deposited in dysoxic–anoxic environment for Chia Gara Formation and similar organic constituents deposited in distal suboxic–anoxic environment for Sargelu Formation. The palynomorphs are of dark orange and light brown, on the spore species Cyathidites australis, that indicate mature organic matters with thermal alteration index of 2.7–3.0 for the Chia Gara Formation and 2.9–3.1 for the Sargelu Formation by Staplin's scale. These characters have rated the succession as a source rock for very high efficiency for generation and expulsion of oil with ordinate gas that charged mainly oil fields of Baghdad, Dyala (B?aquba), and Salahuddin (Tikrit) Governorates. Oil charge the Cretaceous-Tertiary total petroleum system (TPS) are mainly from Chia Gara Formation, because most oil from Sargelu Formation was prevented passing to this TPS by the regional seal Gotnia Formation. This case study of mainly Chia Gara oil source is confirmed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis for oil from reservoirs lying stratigraphically above the Chia Gara Formation in Ajeel and Hamrine oil fields, while oil toward the north with no Gotnia seal could be of mainly Sargelu Formation source.  相似文献

烃源岩潜力评价是油气田勘探的重要步骤,对于岩性油气藏勘探尤为重要,需考虑多方面因素。受塔南凹陷实际条件的限制,选取烃源岩厚度、有机碳含量、干酪根类型、热解指标、有机质成熟度等5 项指标,对研究区下白垩统铜钵庙组、南屯组、大磨拐河组烃源岩特征及潜力进行评价。研究表明,研究区烃源岩特征整体优好; 南屯组的烃源岩最优,大磨拐河组次之,铜钵庙组最差。使用 “直接乘法”对研究区9 小层烃源岩生烃潜力进行综合排队,其中南屯组SQ3-3 小层的烃源岩发育最好,铜钵庙组I 油组的烃源岩发育最差,其先后顺序及评价为: SQ3-3、SQ3-2、SQ3-5、SQ3-1、SQ3- 4、SQ4-1、II 油组、SQ4-2 及I 油组。  相似文献

页岩油是指生成并滞留在烃源岩中,以游离或吸附状态赋存在地层微纳米级储集空间中,基本未运移或极短距离运移的低熟—半熟油气.通过总结泥页岩低孔低渗的特点,对页岩油的形成机制、演化条件、保存条件以及分布特征进行了讨论.泥页岩中有机质的丰度、类型以及演化成熟度是泥页岩生油能力的主要影响因素.生油能力较好的Ⅰ或Ⅱ型干酪根是良好的有机质类型,而Ⅲ型干酪根则以生气为主.在适当的埋藏深度下,达到生油门限,即可发生热化学反应产生大量液态烃.弱水动力条件以及相对长时间稳定的构造活动,都能使得有机质及沉积物缓慢沉降并演化.陆上优质泥页岩由于分布范围广、类型多、时代跨度大、陆相湖盆面积小、物源丰富且湖平面变化等原因,有利于页岩油气形成.  相似文献
