In this paper the authors provide a study of the phenomenon of the gravitational capture by using the models of the circular and elliptic restricted three-body problem. In the first part the inadequacy of the circular restricted three-body problem in the study of the phenomenon of the capture in the case of NEAs is shown. In the model of the spatial elliptic restricted three-body problem criteria of the capture are deduced by using the pulsating Hill-regions. A modified method for averaging the perturbing function in Hill’s problem is suggested. The averaging is performed in the revolution period of the satellite over the mean anomaly of its motion with a full allowance for a variation in the position of the perturbing body. At its fixed position, the semimajor axis of the satellite orbit during the revolution of the satellite is constant in view of the evolution equations, while the remaining orbital elements undergo secular and long-period perturbations. Therefore, when the motion of the perturbing body is taken into account, the semimajor axis of the satellite orbit undergoes the strongest perturbations. The suggested approach generalizes the averaging method in which only the linear (in time) term is included in the perturbing function. This method requires no expansion in powers of time. The described method is illustrated by calculating the perturbations of the semimajor axes for two distant satellites of Saturn, S/2000 S 1 and S/2000 S5. An approximate analytic solution is compared with the results of numerical integration of the averaged system of equations of motion for these satellites.  相似文献

We present five families of periodic solutions of Hill’s problem which are asymmetric with respect to the horizontal ξ axis. In one of these families, the orbits are symmetric with respect to the vertical η axis; in the four others, the orbits are without any symmetry. Each family consists of two branches, which are mirror images of each other with respect to the ξ axis. These two branches are joined at a maximum of Γ, where the family of asymmetric periodic solutions intersects a family of symmetric (with respect to the ξ axis) periodic solutions. Both branches can be continued into second species families for Γ → − ∞.  相似文献

We describe and comment the results of a numerical exploration on the evolution of the families of periodic orbits associated with homoclinic orbits emanating from the equilateral equilibria of the restricted three body problem for values of the mass ratio larger than μ 1. This exploration is, in some sense, a continuation of the work reported in Henrard [Celes. Mech. Dyn. Astr. 2002, 83, 291]. Indeed it shows how, for values of μ. larger than μ 1, the Trojan web described there is transformed into families of periodic orbits associated with homoclinic orbits. Also we describe how families of periodic orbits associated with homoclinic orbits can attach (or detach) themselves to (or from) the best known families of symmetric periodic orbits. Nonlinear stability of the triangular libration point in the photogravitational restricted three body problem was investigated in the whole range of the parameters. Some results obtained earlier are corrected. The method for proper determination of cases when stability cannot be determined by four order terms of the hamiltonian was proposed.  相似文献

The irregular satellites of Jupiter are believed to be captured asteroids or planetesimals. In the present work is studied the direction of capture of these objects as a function of their orbital inclination. We performed numerical simulations of the restricted three-body problem, Sun-Jupiter-particle, taking into account the growth of Jupiter. The integration was made backward in time. Initially, the particles have orbits as satellites of Jupiter, which has its present mass. Then, the system evolved with Jupiter losing mass and the satellites escaping from the planet. The reverse of the escape direction corresponds to the capture direction. The results show that the Lagrangian points L1 and L2 mainly guide the direction of capture. Prograde satellites are captured through these two gates with very narrow amplitude angles. In the case of retrograde satellites, these two gates are wider. The capture region increases as the orbital inclination increases. In the case of planar retrograde satellites the directions of capture cover the whole 360° around Jupiter. We also verified that prograde satellites are captured earlier in actual time than retrograde ones. This paper was presented at the Asteriods, Comets and Meteors meeting held at Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August 2005 and could not be included in the special issue related to that conference.  相似文献

The present paper demonstrates the results of the numerical integration of equations of motion of a infinitesimal mass pleased in the neighborhood of the triangular point of the Sun-planet system. There are presented the results for the outer solar system, i.e. for Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The long-periodic solutions were searched for the distance from the Lagrangian point changing from ±0.01 to ±0.10 in canonical units. The Trojans of those planets have the circle, tadpole, horseshoe and irregular shape of their orbits. Same of those test particles showed a close approach to planet. Other of those collided with planet and then was removed from the solar system. The tadpole, circle and same trajectories surveyed integration for 100,000 years. We have numerically investigated the stability of retrograde orbits/trajectories around Jupiter and the smaller of the primaries in binary systems RW-Monocerotis (RW-Mon) and Krüger-60 in the presence of radiation. A trajectory is considered as stable if it remains around the smaller mass for at least few hundred binary periods. In case of circular binary orbit, we find that the third order resonance provides the basis for reduction of stability region of retrograde motion of particle in RW-Mon and Sun-Jupiter system both in the presence and absence of radiation. Considering finite ellipticity in Sun-Jupiter system we find that for distant retrograde orbits, radiation from the Sun increases the width of the stable region and covers a significant portion of the region obtained in the absence of solar radiation. Further, due to solar radiation pressure, the stable region in the neighborhood of Jupiter has been found to shift much below the characteristic asymptotic line for the periodic retrograde orbits. In case of Krüger-60 we observe the distant retrograde orbits around the smaller of the primaries get affected considerably with increase in radiation parameter β1. Further the range of velocities for which stable motion may persist narrows down for distant retrograde orbits in this system.  相似文献

We consider the Newtonian planar three-body problem with positive masses m 1, m 2, m 3. We prove that it does not have an additional first integral meromorphic in the complex neighborhood of the parabolic Lagrangian orbit besides three exceptional cases ∑m i m j /(∑m k )2 = 1/3, 23/33, 2/32 where the linearized equations are shown to be partially integrable. This result completes the non-integrability analysis of the three-body problem started in papers [Tsygvintsev, A.: Journal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik N 537, 127–149 (2001a); Celest. Mech. Dyn. Astron. 86(3), 237–247 (2003)] and based on the Morales–Ramis–Ziglin approach.  相似文献

The non-linear stability of the triangular libration points of the restricted three-body problem is studied under the presence of third and fourth order resonance's, when the more massive primary is an oblate spheroid. In this study Markeev's theorem are utilised with the help of KAM theorem. It is found that the stability of the triangular libration points are unstable in the third order resonance case and stable in the fourth order resonance case, for all the values of oblateness factor A1. The nonlinear stability zones of the triangular Lagrangian points are determined numerically and the effect of radiation of primaries is considered, in addition to the known effect of mass distribution, using the photogravitational restricted threebody problem model. It is found that radiation also has a considerable effect reducing the stability zones. In cases of resonances, these zones are reduced to negligible size for some parameter values within the linear stability regions.  相似文献
