The wastewater treatment is carried out in two parallel pond groups: South–9200 m3/d, 1748 kg/d BOD5, preliminary clarifier (1.1 ha, 22000 m3), three ponds (9.8 ha, 88000 m3), naturel aeration; North ?5700 m3/d, 2394 kg/d BOD5, Imhoff tank, three ponds (7.9 ha, 71000 m3), the pond 1 artificially aerated by gyroscopic units. The different loads of 15.9 and 33.7 g/m3 d BOD5 results in rates of removal of 11.2 and 22.5 g/m3d BOD5, resp. Therefore, the efficiency of the naturally aerated system is higher than that of the artificially aerated system. In the aerated system mainly the bacterial growth is promoted, a typical algal state being achieved only slowly, whereas the naturally aerated system gains a summer-time algal maximum in the ponds 2 and 3, which is accompanied already by zooplankton populations. In the dynamics of the biomass development, the higher efficiency of the four-stage, naturally aerated system is especially obvious.  相似文献

The most important measure is that the freshwater demand of 0.5 m3 per t beet processing is strictly kept to or fallen below, to which a catalogue of measures with ten points is presented. The wastewaters which cannot be used again have to be stored prior to the final purification in order to compensate for quantities and concentrations, aerated storage ponds being successful for small sugar factories as the purification technology. For this, three cases are described as examples: supplementary equipment of two anaerobic ponds with a rod-roll aeration, by which within two months (May to July) the BOD3 is reduced from 1,200 to 11 mg/l. The aeration of a pond of 12.5 ha (370,000 … 500,000 m3) by means of a centrifugal aerator (45 kW) does not lead to completely aerobic conditions: Accumulation up to 350 t BOD5, 200 t organic acids at a reduction of 100 t sulphate, 45 t of which being converted via sulphides by photoautotrophic sulphur bacteria. This combination of anaerobic and aerobic processes is very economical. At aeration with ca. 1 W/m3 in the third case in summer there are achieved wastewater loads which are of a receiving-water quality.  相似文献

The system consists of three preliminary clarifiers and two ponds operating in series. It drains 100,000 to 120,000 m3 highly loaded wastewater per year over the ground. In dependence on load, in the pond 1 a midsummer-time bacterial maximum of up to 800 m3/l occurs. The algal biomass, too, shows an annual curve with one peak; the maximum is independent of the ice cover and varies with the seasons. The BOD5 shows a spring maximum and a summer maximum independent of the biomasses and their variations. In the second pond only slight changes are found from June till October; here prevail algae and a maximum of flagellates. Although a stage of filtrators and consumers is lacking, the system can be regarded as a sewage pond system with a reduction of BOD5 by 73%.  相似文献

池塘养殖是农业源污染的重要来源之一,尤其在水网密布、渔业发达的太湖流域,控制池塘养殖过程中氮、磷、化学需氧量等污染物的排放,对于减轻水体富营养化程度、恢复水质健康、维持地区社会经济可持续发展具有重要意义.基于野外采样、入户调查、遥感解译等多种手段,结合GIS软件技术,对太湖流域池塘养殖污染物的排放进行了估算.结果表明,20142015年太湖流域总氮、硝态氮、铵态氮、总磷、可溶性磷、COD Cr的年排放量分别为6.1×10^6、1.1×10^6、1.7×10^6、1.3×10^5、1.1×10^5和8.0×10^7 kg.其中鱼类池塘养殖排放系数分别为69.5、12.4、20.1、1.6、1.3和919.8 kg/hm 2;虾类池塘排放系数分别为3.0、0.5、0.9、0.07、0.06和39.3 kg/hm^2;蟹类池塘排放系数分别为6.4、1.2、1.9、0.2、0.1和84.9 kg/hm^2.太湖流域池塘养殖各类污染物排放分布特征为位于太湖西北部、南部和东北部的大部分地区池塘养殖污染物排放较高,位于太湖东部和太湖西南部的池塘养殖污染物排放较低.池塘养殖业发达、饲料肥料投入高、养殖密度大等是造成该流域池塘养殖污染物排放较高的主要原因.针对太湖流域池塘养殖减排治理,建议推行合理的池塘污染治理管理政策与策略,综合考虑饲料利用率与投放量、养殖面积、养殖密度、养殖生物生态混养,以及一些科学养殖管理措施和净化养殖废水的技术措施等.  相似文献

The two eutrophicated reservoirs Husinec (2.6 km3, 35 ha, zmax 18 m, MQ 1.87 m3/s) and ?ímov (34.5 hm3, 216 ha, zmax 44 m, MQ 4.14 m3/s) show concentrations of total phosphorus of 10… 50 mg/m3 and chlorophyll contents of 7… 36 mg/m3 in the summer season. For both reservoirs a good correlation exists between the chlorophyll concentration and the density of the phytoplankton (20 · 103… 13 · 106 ind./l). With average concentrations of 10… 20 mg/m3 chlorophyll a in summer, the water can be treated for producing drinking water only at a higher expenditure. The water quality will be improved by a reduction of the phosphorus load.  相似文献

Basic principles determining and substantiating the contents of organics in secondary effluents were formulated and discussed. It has been shown that the activated sludge process, if optimally designed and operated, can produce secondary effluents with soluble carbonaceous BOD5 values below 5 mg/1 and suspended solids concentrations approaching 10 mg/1. While the total values of BOD5 are significantly influenced by SS concentrations, the total values of COD are influenced mostly by soluble refractory organics present in raw wastewaters and formed in the process as microbial waste products.  相似文献

From the hydrobiological viewpoint the stabilization system represents three different ecosystems with specific biocoenoses. Through natural processes the processed nutrients pass through the anaerobic and semi-aerobic stages to be utilized in the trophic chain in a fishpond. Here, the process of waste water treatment is brought to the state of beta-mesosaprobity with variation towards alpha-mesosaprobity. The annual yield of fishes amounted to 1,060 kg/ha on the average. The economic returnability of the system is 20 years. A critical analysis of the performance of the system allowed the proposal of its optimization. It would consist in the complete separation of the entirely different biocoenoses in three consecutive basins preceding the stabilization pond. When the pond is fished out, the second and the third basin would accumulate the effluent of the first basin until the end of March. In this way the nutrients in incoming waste water would be utilized purposively by the algae during the vegetative period, the algae by the filtering zooplankton and the latter by the fish.  相似文献

The lake without any outlet (11 ha, 55000 m3, zmax 2,25 m) has a weak thermal stratification with maximum surface temperatures of 32.5 °C. The annual variation of temperature and depth of visibility is unimodal, with the maxima or minima in August. Phytoplankton consists mainly of Cyanophyceae. The primary production determined by the light-dark bottle technique (oxygen method) varies in the annual variation between 0.3… 0.5 g m?2 d?1 C (winter) and 3.4… 4.6 g m?2 d?1 C (summer); as the annual means of 1975 and 1976 there were found 1.9 and 2.4 g m?2 d?1 C, resp., gross production at a utilization of 0.42… 2.85% of the radiation energy. The chemism is a well-buffered hydrogen-carbonate water (pH 8.1… 9.0) with 74… 90 mg/1 Na and 20.5… 31.5 mg/1 K and with a good nutrient supply (20… 40 μg/1 PO4—P and 100… 240 μg/1 NO3—N) at the same time.  相似文献

Thirteen alicyclic compounds (C5… C7) are examined for their biochemical degradability in a laboratory activating tank and in two respirometers (Warburg, Sapromat). The tests were performed with adapted and nonadapted activated sludge. In addition, the COD was determined by three different methods. The effluent from biological treatment plants of cane sugar factories undergoes a final purification in laboratory models with a Chlorella culture at volume loads of 76… 325 mg/l. d BOD5 or 121… 555 mg/l-d COD. The coefficient of removal on the basis of BOD5 is found to be linearly negatively correlated with the retention time, but independent of the substrate concentration and composition as well as of the pre-treatment of the wastewaters (aerobic or anaerobic). A dimensioning on the basis of the COD is not possible because of the high phytoplankton content in the effluent of the ponds.  相似文献

This study examines the effect of drawdown on the timing and magnitude of suspended solids and associated phosphorus export from a 12 ha reservoir located in an urbanized watershed in southern Ontario, Canada. Water level in Columbia Lake was lowered by 1·15 m over a 2‐week period in November 2001. The total phosphorus (TP) concentrations ranged from 63 to 486 µg L?1 in Columbia Lake and 71 to 373 µg L?1 at its outflow. All samples exceeded the Provincial Water Quality Objective of 30 µg TP L?1. Outflow concentrations of suspended solids and TP increased significantly with decreasing lake level and were attributed to the resuspension of cohesive bottom sediments that occurred at a critical threshold lake level (0·65 m below summer level). Suspended solids at the outflow consisted of flocculated cohesive materials with a median diameter (D50) of c. 5 µm. Particulate organic carbon accounted for 8·5% of the suspended solids export by mass. A total mass of 18·5 t of suspended solids and 62·6 kg TP was exported from Columbia Lake, which represents a significant pulse of sediment‐associated P to downstream environments each autumn during drawdown. The downstream impacts of this release can be minimized if the water level in Columbia Lake is lowered no more than 0·5 m below summer levels. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The primary production in the small pond (3.5 m long, 1.5 m wide, 1.5 m deep) was measured in winter from November to April by means of the bright-dark-flask method at an exposure for 24 hours. The following results were obtained: gross production 0.9 … 11 g C/m3d, net production 0.8 … 7 g C/m3d, respiration 0.5 … 5.6 g C/m3d, P/R quotient 19.6 … 0.18. The results are discussed in connection with chemical and hydrographie parameters as well as with the hydrological situation.  相似文献

Lake Gucheng is located in the southeast of Nanjing, with an area of 24.3 km2, an average depth of 2 meters. The macrophytes of the lake were used to be abundant and their biomass was about 4.96 mg·m-2. The annual average contents of total phosphorus (TP), total nitrogen (TN), PO3- -P, CODMn and BOD5 0.03, 1.31, 0.005, 3.61 and 1.46 mg·L-1, respectively. Thus, the water quality of this lake is quite well. Recently, the water quality in pari of the lake became worse because of some unreasonable exploitation and utilization of bioresources. The interactions between phytoplankton (N1), macrophyte (N2), fish (N3), crab (N4) were studied here. The macrophyte has great influences on both phytoplanktons, fish and crab, controlling the water quality and maintaining the fishery productivity. On the other hand, the phytoplankton, fish and crab also influence the macrophyte. It is key method of ecological management to maintain the macrophyte by fishery culture. Therefore, a modified Lotka-Volterra model has been established to estimate the interaction between N1, N2, N3, N4 and the influences of some water environmental parameters on these aquatic organism, environmental and economic effect. The main model consists four compart-mental models and four submodels, involved 12 external variables, 8 state variables, 19 universal constants and 11 parameters. The values of most parameters were found from our experiments and calibrated by the model and actually measured data. The model has been validated by comparison the computed and experimental data of phytoplankton and macrophyte. The theoretical outputs showed a good agreement with the measured data. This model predicated that if the standing crop offish and crab was higher than 2.65 ·m-2 during springtime in this lake, macrophytes would not grow, chlorophyll a content would arrive 34.8 mg·m-3 and the water quality would decrease. If the macrophyte grow well, the maximum fishery productivity would be about 1 600 t. In this case, the annually averaged phytoplankton chlorophyll a content should be 3.69 mg·m-3, which is lower than the criterion (10 mg·m-3) for eutrophic state. From 1991 to 1996, Lake Gucheng was managed with this model, its water quality maintain quite well, chlorophyll a content decreased from 3.51 (1991) to 1.89 mg·m-3 (1994). Meanwhile, the fishery productivity increased and the economic effect heightened year by year.  相似文献

Biologically purified wastewater in ten doses of 50 and 400 mm per year was given into sand-filled lysimeters of 1 m2 area and 1 m depth which were vegetated with Lolium perenne (forage rye) and green maize all the year round. The experimental results gained in the course of five summer half-years and four winter half-years were evaluated with respect to the purification efficiency of the soil-plant system. The results demonstrate a high efficiency of the system with mean annual elimination performances of 86 and 40% for BOD5, and COD-Cr, resp., as well as 49, 86 and 52% for N, P and K, resp., at mean concentrations in mg/l for BOD5?1.3, COD-Cr?34.1, N?18.1, P?0.4 and K?9 in the percolating water from a soil depth of 1 m. The lysimeters which had been supplied with wastewater were not treated with mineral fertilizer. Intermingling with 1 kg/m2 straw brings about an increase of the loads of K and P as well as COD-Cr in the percolating water and a reduction of the N-loads, besides an increase in yield. All in all, for four years the performance has been stable without any temporal trend.  相似文献

The zooplankton of oligotrophic lakes in North Patagonia is often dominated by mixotrophic ciliates, particularly Stentor amethystinus and Stentor araucanus. Therefore, we tested whether Stentor spp. (i) is an important food for juvenile endemic (Cheirodon australe, Galaxias maculatus, Odontesthes mauleanum, Percichthys trucha) and introduced (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fish species, and (ii) represents a remarkable grazer of bacteria. Ingestion rates of fish estimated by disappearance of Stentor in feeding experiments ranged between 8 (G. maculatus) and 53 (C. australe) ciliates per fish and day, and assimilation rates measured by using radioactively labelled Stentor ranged between 3 (P. trucha) and 52 (C. australe) ciliates per fish and day. However, although we detected the consumption of Stentor by fish, the daily consumption amounted to at most 0.2% of the fish biomass which can not cover the energy requirement of the fish. Furthermore, the daily consumption was equivalent to a maximum of 1.6% of the Stentor standing stock so that fish predation does not seem to be an important mortality factor for the ciliates. The clearance rate of Stentor sp. on natural bacteria was on average 3.8 μl cil−1 h−1. The daily ingestion (mean 3.9 ng C cil−1 d−1) was about 3.5% of the individual biomass of Stentor sp. Therefore, bacteria ingestion might explain a ciliate growth rate of appr. 1% d−1, which was about 17% of the photosynthesis of endosymbiotic algae. The maximum density of Stentor sp. in the lake could ingest about 1 μg C L−1 d−1 bacteria which is only 3% of average bacterial production. Thus, grazing by Stentor sp. does not seem to be a main loss factor for the bacteria.  相似文献

Erosion leading to sedimentation in surface water may disrupt aquatic habitats and deliver sediment-bound nutrients that contribute to eutrophication. Land use changes causing loss of native vegetation have accelerated already naturally high erosion rates in New Zealand and increased sedimentation in streams and lakes. Sediment-bound phosphorus (P) makes up 71–79% of the 17–19 t P y−1 delivered from anthropogenic sources to Lake Rotorua in New Zealand. Detainment bunds (DBs) were first implemented in the Lake Rotorua catchment in 2010 as a strategy to address P losses from pastoral agriculture. The bunds are 1.5–2 m high earthen stormwater retention structures constructed across the flow path of targeted low-order ephemeral streams with the purpose of temporarily ponding runoff on productive pastures. The current DB design protocol recommends a minimum pond volume of 120 m3 ha−1 of contributing catchment with a maximum pond storage capacity of 10 000 m3. No previous study has investigated the ability of DBs to decrease annual suspended sediment (SS) loads leaving pastoral catchments. Annual SS yields delivered to two DBs with 20 ha and 55 ha catchments were 109 and 28 kg SS ha−1, respectively, during this 12-month study. The DBs retained 1280 kg (59%) and 789 kg (51%) of annual SS loads delivered from the catchments as a result of the bunds' ability to impede stormflow and facilitate soil infiltration and sediment deposition. The results of this study highlight the ability of DBs to decrease SS loads transported from pastures in surface runoff, even during large storm events, and suggests DBs are able to reduce P loading in Lake Rotorua.  相似文献

Abstract

Mathematical transformation models of TDS (total dissolved salts) and organic substance concentration as BOD5 (biochemical oxygen demand) in water of the Angara River and the proposed Boguchan Reservoir have been developed. Having filled the reservoir to a water level of 208 m, in an average year it is shown that increase in surface water mineralization is expected in the cross-section of Boguchan Hydroelectric Power Station giving TDS of up to 20–40 mg/dm3, and values of BOD5 will increase to 2.0–3.9 mgO2/dm3. In a low-water year the value of BOD5 may be as great as 5 mgO2/dm3; mineralization, in contrast, decreases. Several years after reservoir filling, the values of BOD5 would decrease, but water quality of the upper part of the reservoir would still depend on the degree of treatment of wastewater discharged to it.

The treatment of a highly eutrophic raw water is investigated by a differentiated microscopic analysis of the seston particles in three size classes, an analysis of the assimilation pigments and of the seston solids. At an average number of particles of 106/ml elimination amounts to 31… 44%. The average pigment content of 124 mg/m3 chlorophyll a plus phaeopigments is reduced by 34%, the average dry matter of 14.6 mg/l being reduced by 50%.  相似文献

In twelve flowing water (Q 1.04… 30.4 m3/s, 0.5… 1.2 m/s) the self-purification efficiency in 110 river sections (L 1.3… 26.4 km) is determined as the load difference in kg · d?1 COD-Mn as well as in g · m?3 referred to the daily passage. In the economical comparison, the self-purification efficiency is valued as substitution for wastewater treatment plants of the same capacity. At a mean specific capacity of 8.6 g · m?3, the self-purification efficiency of the investigated waters is equivalent to economical values of 124 · 103… 534 · 103 M km?1 investment costs, 11 · 103… 80 · 103 M · a?1km?1 operating costs and 5… 81 MWh · a?1 km?1 expenditure of energy. The specific capacity in g · m?3 COD-Mn shows an exponential regression to the degree of saprobity (L = 0.015 · exp (1.7358 · S)). From this empirical model the limits of the self-purification capacity of aerobic waters by oxygen input can be detected: in respective examples more than 50% of the required oxygen input are due to weirs.  相似文献

Nutrients migrating from agrocenoses through drainage effluents are retained in a field pond. Studies were carried out concerning the effectiveness of this process in an aquatic environment in the conditions of development of phytoplankton and submersed and floating-leaved macrophytes (1987), in the state of phytoplankton dominance (1988), and, in a swamp environment, in the state of dominance of emergent macrophytes (1991).The greatest effectiveness of this process was found in the conditions of development of aquatic plants, i.e. submersed and folating-leaved macrophytes and phytoplankton. In the warm season of 1987 the retention of nutrients (in g · m–2) was: TN — 7.20, TP — 3.5, K — 3.80, Ca — 119, and Mg — 8.2. When the euglenoid phytoplankton dominated, the level of retention was slightly higher and the export of Norg was also noted (3.27 g · m–2 season–1). In the case of dominance of emergent macrophytes, a reduction in the TN load, particularly in N-NO3 (by 3.67 m–2 season–1), occurred, though at the same time a release of P, K, and Mg was noted. The export exceeded the import of TP by 0.44, K by 15.3, and Mg by 1.4 g · m–1. The conditions for the functioning of a field pond as a sink for nutrients migrating from agroecosystems to surface waters were determined.  相似文献
