Study of seismic wave excitation and propagation in laterally heterogeneous media was an active and important subject in seismology in the past two decades, numerous analytical and numerical efforts have been made in this research field. In this article, I have, first, made a brief review on those developments and then introduced and summarized a unified and efficient method, global generalized reflection-transmission (abbreviated to R/T thereafter) matrices method, for synthetic seismograms in multi-layered media with irregular interfaces developed by the author [24~26]. As demonstrated in this article, this method could be regarded as an extension of the generalized R/T coefficients method for the horizontally layered case [2,5] to the layered media with irregularly shaped interfaces by incorporating the T matrices technique [27,28]. The authors proposed a method for obtaining high-quality acceleration seismograms from velocity type seismograms of digital Seismographic network, and took as an example the analysis and processing of the seismograms of a same earthquake that was simultaneously recorded by velocity seismograph CTS1-EDAS24 and strong motion seismograph EST-Q4128 installed in Jixian Station, Tianjin. The calculation steps and the processing method have been discussed in detail. From the analysis and the comparison of the obtained results, it is concluded that the proposed method is simple and effective, and it broadens the application of digital seismographic network.  相似文献

In nonlinear error growth dynamics,the initial error cannot be accurately determined,and the forecast error,which is also uncertain,can be considered to be a random variable.Entropy in information theory is a natural measure of the uncertainty of a random variable associated with a probability distribution.This paper effectively combines statistical information theory and nonlinear error growth dynamics,and introduces some fundamental concepts of entropy in information theory for nonlinear error growth dynamics.Entropy based on nonlinear error can be divided into time entropy and space entropy,which are used to estimate the predictabilities of the whole dynamical system and each of its variables.This is not only applicable for investigating the dependence between any two variables of a multivariable system,but also for measuring the influence of each variable on the predictability of the whole system.Taking the Lorenz system as an example,the entropy of nonlinear error is applied to estimate predictability.The time and space entropies are used to investigate the spatial distribution of predictability of the whole Lorenz system.The results show that when moving around two chaotic attractors or near the edge of system space,a Lorenz system with lower sensitivity to the initial field behaves with higher predictability and a longer predictability limit.The example analysis of predictability of the Lorenz system demonstrates that the predictability estimated by the entropy of nonlinear error is feasible and effective,especially for estimation of predictability of the whole system.This provides a theoretical foundation for further work in estimating real atmospheric multivariable joint predictability.  相似文献

We investigated the differences in the gene expression of carbonic anhydrase(CA)and cysteine synthase(CysM)between two weathering conditions,with either soluble potassium or insoluble potassium.We cultured a strain of A.niger by adopting a variant Czapek medium(using Na2HPO4as a substitute for K2HPO4)in two groups,Group A(containing silicate minerals bearing potassium but without KCl)and Group B(with KCl).We extracted the mRNAs of CA and CysM from these two groups and performed real-time quantitative polymerase chain reactions(RT-qPCR).We constructed relative standard curves by using glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)as the reference to confirm a consistent amplification efficiency of the target genes(CA and CysM)and the reference gene and quantified the gene expression of the targets in a relative manner.Our results showed that CA and CysM in Group A were upregulated for 1.7 times and 11.7 times,respectively,compared with those in Group B.Furthermore,we also analyzed some metabolic pathways and functions of the A.niger-induced weathering of potassium-bearing minerals,which involved the synthesizing of these two enzymes.Thus our work provides materials for further study of the roles of A.niger in the metabolic regulation during the weathering process of potassium-bearing minerals.  相似文献

The fine-scale structures of lithosphere discontinuities contain important information on the dynamics of lithosphere formation, development, transformation, and destruction. In this paper, a new seismic daylight imaging method is developed to explore the small-scale structures of lithosphere discontinuities. This method makes use of the P-wave first arrival and coda in the 0.5–4 Hz high frequency band of teleseismic events, and reaches a resolution of 2 km for lithosphere discontinuities. This method rests on the basic principle that the autocorrelation of the vertically incident transmission response below the seismic station is equivalent to the reflection response with the source and station both on the free surface. The transmission responses include the first-arrival P-waves below the station traversing the discontinuities to reach the free surface, and the multiple reflections between the free surface and the discontinuities. In this study, the normal incidence requirement of the method is further extended to include dip incidence illumination, which expands its applicability. The accuracy and feasibility of the seismic daylight imaging (SDI) theory are verified by synthesized theoretical seismograms, and the factors affecting the imaging results are discussed. The data processing steps and the interpretation criteria for the method are also given. The fine-scale lithosphere structure of two permanent stations at the eastern North China Craton is determined by the method described here, as well as instantaneous frequency. Clear discontinuities are found in the lithospheric mantle at 52 and 75 km below the two stations, respectively. Seismic daylight imaging and the receiver function reveal a more consistent lithosphere structure beneath the MBWA permanent station of the West Australia Craton, with the unmistakable presence of the lithosphere discontinuities.High-frequency SDI can be used to detect the fine-scale lithospheric structures. As its waveform is more complex, and hence appropriate reference to existing seismological information, such as from tomographic velocity inversion and the receiver function, is recommended.  相似文献

This paper presents an indirect boundary integration equation method for diffraction of plane P waves by a two-dimensional canyon of arbitrary shape in poroelastic half-space. The air-gun source has important applications as a new, environmentally, green active source in regional scale deep exploration. In the past, the air gun source was used mainly in small-scale, high-resolution shallow oil exploration, but has a lack of adequate research in deep exploration. In order to study the selection of work parameters and field conditions of the air gun source in deep exploration, this paper does the following work: ① analyze the characteristics of the air gun source using air gun experiments; ② simulate the air gun signal and air gun-array signal based on the theory of free bubble oscillation to analyze the influence of bubble oscillation and study the wavelet energy and spectrum characteristics needed in deep exploration; ③ on the basis of theoretical simulation, study the influence of work parameters, such as air-gun capacity, work stress and depth on air gun signal and analyze the influence of air-gun array inspired moment and spacing of different air guns on air gun-array signals; and ④ study energy reflection and transmission coefficients for different underwater interfaces, which is very useful for choosing suitable field conditions.  相似文献

The temporal variation of LURR(y)for Kanto,Wakayama,and Hugo regions in Japan has been calculated and analysed.The LURR(y)values are significantly higher than 1 before the occurrence of all earthquakes with magnitude M≥6.0 in the Kanto region during the last two decades and the Kobe earthquake(1995-01-17).These results suggest that LURR theory is available for Japan.Recently they-value for Wakayama region has been near 1,while the y-value is remarkably larger than 1 for nearly two years for Kanto.According to these results,it is predicted that a strong earthquake with magnitude of about 6.0 could occur in 1 year or a little longer for in Kanto region or its adjacent regions,but there is little possibility for the Wakayama region.  相似文献

The study of wave propagation in finite/infinite media has many applications in geotechnical and structural earthquake engineering and has been a focus of research for the past few decades. This paper presents an analysis of 2D anti- plane problems (Love waves) and 2D in-plane problems (Rayleigh waves) in the frequency domain in media consisting of a near-field irregular and a far-field regular part. The near field part may contain structures and its boundaries with the far-field can be of any shape. In this study, the irregular boundaries of the near-field are treated as consistent boundaries, extending the concept of Lysmer's vertical consistent boundaries. The presented technique is called the Condensed Hyperelements Method (CHM). In this method, the irregular boundary is limited to a vertical boundary at each end that is a consistent boundary at the far-field side. Between the two ends, the medium is discretized with hyperelements. Using static condensation, the stiffness matrix of the far-field is derived for the nodes on the irregular boundary. Examples of the application of the CHM illustrate its excellent accuracy and efficiency.  相似文献

Normal-mode summation is the most rapidly used method in calculating synthetic seismograms. However, normal-mode summation is mostly applied to point sources. For earthquakes triggered by faults extending for as long as several 100 km, the seismic waves are usually simulated by point source summation. In this paper, we attempt to follow a different route, i.e., directly calculate the excitation of each mode, and use normal-mode summation to obtain the seismogram. Furthermore, we assume the finite source to be a ‘‘line source' and numerically calculate the transverse component of synthetic seismograms for vertical strike-slip faults. Wave reflection and refraction in layered media is a topic closely related to seismology, acoustics, geophysics and earthquake engineering. Analytical solutions for wave reflection and refraction coefficients in multi-layered media subjected to P wave incidence from the elastic half-space are derived in terms of displacement potentials. The system is composed of ideal fluid, porous medium, and underlying elastic solid. By numerical examples, the effects of porous medium and the incident wave angle on the dynamic pressures of ideal fluid are analyzed. The results show that the existence of the porous medium, especially in the partially saturated case, may significantly affect the dynamic pressures of the overlying fluid.  相似文献

The dynamic stiffness method combined with the Fourier transform is utilized to derive the in-plane Green’s functions for inclined and uniformly distributed loads in a multi-layered transversely isotropic(TI)half-space.The loaded layer is fixed to obtain solutions restricted in it and the corresponding reactions forces,which are then applied to the total system with the opposite sign.By adding solutions restricted in the loaded layer to solutions from the reaction forces,the global solutions in the wavenumber domain are obtained,and the dynamic Green’s functions in the space domain are recovered by the inverse Fourier transform.The presented formulations can be reduced to the isotropic case developed by Wolf(1985),and are further verified by comparisons with existing solutions in a uniform isotropic as well as a layered TI halfspace subjected to horizontally distributed loads which are special cases of the more general problem addressed.The deduced Green’s functions,in conjunction with boundary element methods,will lead to significant advances in the investigation of a variety of wave scattering,wave radiation and soil-structure interaction problems in a layered TI site.Selected numerical results are given to investigate the influence of material anisotropy,frequency of excitation,inclination angle and layered on the responses of displacement and stress,and some conclusions are drawn.  相似文献

A theoretical model for river evolution including riverbed formation and meandering pattern formation is presented in this paper.Based on nonlinear mathematic theory,the nonlinear river dynamic theory is set up for river dynamic process.Its core content includes the stability and tropism characteristics of flow motion in river and river selves' evolution.The stability of river dynamic process depends on the response of river selves to the external disturbance,if the disturbance and the resulting response will eventually attenuate,and the river dynamics process can be restored to new equilibrium state,the river dynamic process is known as stable;otherwise,the river dynamic process is unstable.The river dynamic process tropism refers to that the evolution tendency of river morphology after the disturbance.As an application of this theory,the dynamical stability of the constant curvature river bend is calculated for its coherent vortex disturbance and response.In addition,this paper discusses the nonlinear evolution of the river peristaltic process under a large-scale disturbance,showing the nonlinear tendency of river dynamic processes,such as river filtering and butterfly effect.  相似文献
