作为冷季主要的天气事件,冷空气过境会改变湖泊上方的气团性质,对湖泊的水热通量产生影响,进而影响湖泊的生物物理和化学过程.以亚热带大型浅水湖泊——太湖为研究对象,基于2012-2017年5个冷季(11月-翌年3月)的太湖中尺度通量网观测数据,量化不同强度冷空气(寒潮、强冷空气和较强冷空气)对太湖水热通量的影响.结果表明:在5个冷季中,寒潮、强冷空气和较强冷空气发生的总次数分别为4、11和33次,累积持续天数分别为14、31和78天.冷空气过境显著增强太湖的水热通量,3种冷空气过境使太湖的感热通量分别增至无冷空气时的10.3、6.0和4.3倍,潜热通量分别增至无冷空气时的4.0、2.1和2.7倍.虽然冷空气影响天数仅占冷季天数的16.4%,但对整个冷季的潜热和感热通量贡献分别为34.9%和51.7%,以较强冷空气贡献最大.冷空气影响时,水-气界面的温度梯度是太湖感热通量的主控因子,而潜热通量的主控因子为风速.与深水湖泊相比,太湖等浅水湖泊对冷空气过境的响应更快,寒潮过境时尤为明显.  相似文献

Summary The main characteristics of surface winds are tabulated for 34 Antarctic stations. Using these data, supplemented by traverse records, the average wind flow is interpolated for each region and presented as a map showing the pattern of surface wind flow for the whole continent. Attention is focused on the flow in relation to surface contours. Statistics are presented for surface slope, wind speed, temperature, seasonal variations of speed and temperature, diurnal variation (including power spectra) of the wind speed and times of maximum and minimum speed at coastal and inland stations, wind frequency versus direction, the occurrence of calms, the deviation of the plateau wind from the downslope direction, the wind direction near the front of ice shelves, the proportion of cloud cover, and wind chill factors. In all cases data are grouped according to the environs of the stations in an attempt to isolate systematic differences depending on location: coastal stations near the foot of the ice slope and fully exposed to katabatic flow, coastal stations on offshore islands, coastal stations on peninsulas, coastal stations on extensive rock areas, ice shelf stations and inland stations.  相似文献

利用1999年和2000年长江三角洲近地层大气与农田生态系统综合观测试验资料,对常熟地区水稻插秧、拔节、抽穗等不同生长期近地层二氧化碳和感热、潜热、动量等湍流通量特征及变化规律进行了初步研究. 研究结果表明, 平均而言在水稻各生长期,近地面为二氧化碳的汇,白天水稻通过光合作用吸收二氧化碳、夜间则放出二氧化碳,抽穗期消耗的二氧化碳要多于拔节和插秧期;近地面为大气的热源,主要以潜热方式加热大气,尤其是在抽穗期,感热与潜热之比仅为0.058;二氧化碳等湍流通量的变化与辐射平衡各分量及气象要素有显著关系.  相似文献

在TOGA-COAREIOP期间用涡度相关法对海气热通量进行了船载直接观测.对垂直风速、温度和湿度湍流脉动观测数据的谱分析显示它们在高频区基本满足"-2/3次方律".对船体简谐震荡影响的讨论从理论上证明该影响在热通量计算中可被忽略.根据以此方法得到的通量求出了中性层结条件下感热和潜热的整体输送系数分别为2.25×10-3和1.26×10-3.对海气边界层特性的分析表明该海域的近海层主要呈中性或弱不稳定层结.海气通量的变化与背景环流形势密切相关,潜热通量主要受海面风场强度的影响,而感热通量变化除了风场的影响外,层结变化也是一个重要因素.用整体输送法计算TOGA-COAREIOP期间以及TOGA期间8个航次的通量结果而得到的Bowen比约为0.1,显示潜热通量是暖池大气的主要热源.  相似文献

This paper discusses the preliminary results of a study on the vegetation pattern and its relationship with meteorological parameters in and around Istanbul. The study covers an area of over 6800 km2 consisting of urban and suburban centers, and uses the visible and near-infrared bands of Landsat. The spatial variation of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and meteorological parameters such as sensible heat flux, momentum flux, relative humidity, moist static energy, rainfall rate and temperature have been investigated based on observations in ten stations in the European (Thracian) and Anatolian parts of Istanbul. NDVI values have been evaluated from the Landsat data for a single day, viz. 24 October 1986, using ERDAS in ten different classes. The simultaneous spatial variations of sensible heat and momentum fluxes have been computed from the wind and temperature profiles using the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory. The static energy variations are based on the surface meteorological observations. There is very good correlation between NDVI and rainfall rate. Good correlation also exists between: NDVI and relative humidity; NDVI, sensible heat flux and relative humidity; NDVI, momentum flux and emissivity; and NDVI, sensible heat flux and emissivity. The study suggests that the momentum flux has only marginal impact on NDVI. Due to rapid urbanization, the coastal belt is characterized by reduced NDVI compared to the interior areas, suggesting that thermodynamic discontinuities considerably influence the vegetation pattern. This study is useful for the investigation of small-scale circulation models, especially in urban and suburban areas where differential heating leads to the formation of heat islands. In the long run, such studies on a global scale are vital to gain accurate, timely information on the distribution of vegetation on the earth’s surface. This may lead to an understanding of how changes in land cover affect phenomena as diverse as the atmospheric CO2 concentrations, the hydrological cycle and the energy balance at the surface-atmosphere interface.  相似文献

Direct measurements of winter water loss due to sublimation were made in a sub‐alpine forest in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Above‐and below‐canopy eddy covariance systems indicated substantial losses of winter‐season snow accumulation in the form of snowpack (0·41 mm d?1) and intercepted snow (0·71 mm d?1) sublimation. The partitioning between these over and under story components of water loss was highly dependent on atmospheric conditions and near‐surface conditions at and below the snow/atmosphere interface. High above‐canopy sensible heat fluxes lead to strong temperature gradients between vegetation and the snow‐surface, driving substantial specific humidity gradients at the snow surface and high sublimation rates. Intercepted snowfall resulted in rapid response of above‐canopy latent heat fluxes, high within‐canopy sublimation rates (maximum = 3·7 mm d?1), and diminished sub‐canopy snowpack sublimation. These results indicate that sublimation losses from the sub‐canopy snowpack are strongly dependent on the partitioning of sensible and latent heat fluxes in the canopy. This compels comprehensive studies of snow sublimation in forested regions that integrate sub‐canopy and over‐story processes. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Three eddy covariance stations were installed at the Barrax experimental farm during the Land-Atmosphere Exchanges (REFLEX) airborne training and measurement campaign to provide ground truth data of energy balance fluxes and vertical temperature and wind profiles. The energy balance closure ratio (EBR) was 105% for a homogeneous camelina site, 86% at a sparse reforestation site, and 73% for a vineyard. We hypothesize that the lower closure in the last site was related to the limited fetch. Incorporating a vertical gradient of soil thermal properties decreased the RMSE of the energy balance at the camelina site by 16 W m?2. At the camelina site, eddy covariance estimates of sensible and latent heat fluxes could be reproduced well using mean vertical profiles of wind and temperature, provided that the Monin—Obukhov length is known. Measured surface temperature and sensible heat fluxes suggested high excess resistance for heat (kB?1 = 17).  相似文献

目前定量研究下垫面不均匀性对大孔径闪烁仪(LAS)、涡动相关仪(ECS)观测感热通量差异的影响还比较少.本文利用黄土高原庆阳观测站2012年6、7月典型晴天两主风向范围E-SE和SW-W的陆面过程数据,在建立了下垫面不均匀性定量化指标的基础上,分析了下垫面不均匀性与地表温度变率的关系及其对LAS、ECS观测感热通量差异的影响.结果表明:庆阳站下垫面不均匀性大小η和地表温度变率г具有很好的相关性,相关系数达到0.566以上,证明了新建立指标的合理性.下垫面不均匀性大小η和LAS、ECS观测的感热通量差异HLAS-HECS具有很好的一致性,相关系数达到0.634.下垫面不均匀性对LAS和ECS的感热通量差异影响显著,下垫面越不均匀LAS和ECS测量的感热通量差异越大.对两主风向分别进行分析,在E-SE风向范围η和HLAS-HECS的相关系数为0.430,HLAS和HEC拟合的线性趋势系数为1.279,在SW-W风向范围η和HLAS-HECS的相关系数为0.680,HLAS和HEC拟合的线性趋势系数为1.297.下垫面不均匀性的影响程度越大,LAS和ECS观测的感热通量差异越大.  相似文献

The use of biomarkers to evaluate the biological effects of chemical pollutants in marine organisms represents a recent tool in the monitoring field responding to the need to detect and assess the effects of chemical contaminants on the biota. The aim of the present work was the field application of the integrated use of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and antioxidant enzymes (catalase--CAT, glutathione peroxidase--GSH-Px), for detecting the possible exposure/effect induced by chemical pollutants in native marine organisms from a coastal marine area, represented by Salento Peninsula (Italy), that shows a coastline of high environmental value, but under constant urban pressure, including agriculture activities, widely diffused in the whole hinterland. Eight sampling stations were chosen: four not urbanized areas considered "uncontaminated" controls and four clearly exposed to anthropogenic impact. The bioindicator species studied were a sessile invertebrate, Mytilus galloprovincialis, and a benthic teleost fish, Mullus barbatus.AChE activity in M. galloprovincialis revealed significant differences among places; the minimum values observed (3.9+/-1.8 nmolmin(-1)mg(-1)) was about 50% reduced with respect to the maximum found (11.4+/-0.9 nmolmin(-1)mg(-1)). The reduction in AChE activity observed in two control stations could be explained by the leaching of pesticides into the sea from the agricultural lands. Moreover, the inhibition of AChE activity by heavy metals besides pesticides, can also explain the reduction of the enzymatic activity observed in an industrialized and harbour area. In M. galloprovincialis AChE activity showed a significant inverse correlation with catalase activity but not with glutathione peroxidase that did not significantly change in animals sampled from the eight stations. Also in M. barbatus AChE activity showed significant differences among places; it was inversely correlated with liver GSH-Px activity, but not with catalase activity, that did not show any significantly variation in animals sampled in the different stations.In conclusion, the integrated use of AChE and antioxidant enzymes (catalase or glutathione peroxidase) in M. galloprovincialis and M. barbatus, two species living in different compartment of marine coastal ecosystem, can find a useful application within the framework of marine coastal environment monitoring programs for detecting the possible exposure/effect induced by chemical pollutants, including pesticides, on living marine organisms.  相似文献

Many highly productive marine ecosystems exhibit nitrogen limitation or co-limitation. This article is a status review of research into the exchange of nitrogen between the atmosphere and these ecosystems with a particular focus on reactive nitrogen compounds. A summary of research conducted over the past ten years is presented and a perspective given as to remaining uncertainities and research needs. Looking toward development of coastal management modeling tools, we illustrate the processes that need to be resolved in order to accurately simulate the flux from the atmosphere and provide guidance on the required resolution of such models.  相似文献

This study analyzes the impacts of latent and sensible heat exchanges between the atmosphere and the ocean in a non-explosive Shapiro–Keyser type cyclogenesis event that occurred over the southwestern South Atlantic Ocean. The synoptic evolution shows a relatively strong warm front and a cold frontal fracture during the system’s development and a warm seclusion in its mature stage, characterizing a Shapiro–Keyser type cyclone. Numerical experiments with the ARW-WRF Model version 3.3 were used to investigate the influences of sensible and latent fluxes on the track of the surface low, intensity of the fronts and coupling of the lower and upper troposphere. The simulations indicate that in the presence of these fluxes the cyclone underwent greater intensification, had a longer life time and longer trajectory, and presented a typical southeastward movement. In the absence of these fluxes, the cyclone developed a weaker warm front with consequent reduction of diabatic heating due to grid scale precipitation along it. This reduced the negative pressure tendency southeast of the cyclone center and the surface cyclone moved northeastward, showing a decoupling of the lower- and upper-level waves. A consequence of this anomalous tracking is the location of the surface cyclone beneath the upper-level trough axis, where there is no upper-level divergence associated with cyclonic vorticity advection contributing to the further system intensification. Numerical experiments suggest that for this Shapiro–Keyser type cyclone the air–sea interaction processes are crucial to obtain a cyclone with features similar to the observations.  相似文献

We have investigated the impact of a large mussel farm on the benthic environment using a battery of benthic indicators of environmental quality (including biochemical, microbial and meiofaunal parameters). These were analysed through a multi-control sampling strategy over one year. The differences across the seasons are typically higher than those between the impacted and the control stations. No effects are seen in terms of the sediment oxygen penetration and the downward fluxes (as the total mass, organic and phytopigment fluxes). The indicators based on the biochemical compositions of the sediment organic matter and the microbial parameters also show no evidence of the eutrophication process, except as a slight increase in the bacterial density in the sediments beneath the long-lines of the farm during the period of highest mussel stocks. Finally, no effects are observed in terms of the benthic faunal indicators, as the meiofaunal abundance, the community structure and the taxa richness are all indistinguishable between the farm sediments and the controls. These results show that mussel farming in the investigated system is eco-sustainable and does not significantly alter the coastal marine ecosystem, both in terms of the functioning and the trophic state. The battery of indicators selected in this study represents a useful tool for the monitoring of the potential ecological impact of mussel farms, towards guaranteeing the sustainable development of aquacultures in shallow coastal environments.  相似文献

Atmospheric stability conditions over the water surface can affect the evaporative and convective heat fluxes from the water surface. Atmospheric instability occurred 72.5% of the time and resulted in 44.7 and 89.2% increases in the average and maximum estimated evaporation, respectively, when compared to the neutral condition for a small shallow lake (Binaba) in Ghana. The proposed approach is based on the bulk-aerodynamic transfer method and the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory (MOST) using standard meteorological parameters measured over the surrounding land. For water surface temperature, a crucial parameter in heat flux estimation from water surfaces, an applicable method is proposed. This method was used to compute heat fluxes and compare them with observed heat fluxes. The heat flux model was validated using sensible heat fluxes measured with a 3-D sonic anemometer. The results show that an unstable atmospheric condition has a significant effect in enhancing evaporation alongside the sensible heat flux from water surfaces.  相似文献

Summary The technique for evaluating the natural illumination of direct solar radiation introduced byÅngström andDrummond [1]2) has been applied by the authors to the pyrheliometric observations in India and the values of natural illumination derived at eight representative stations are presented in this paper. The dirunal and seasonal variations of the illumination fluxes have been discussed. —In general, illumination fluxes in India show a maximum during summer season except at Madras, where the maximum occurs during winter. The illumination fluxes at various stations vary within the range 80–110 kilolux throughout the year. However, at Calcutta, it varies within a rather narrow range of 65–85 kilolux. Both in summer and winter, the illumination flux during forenoon hours is usually more than that during afternoon hours. An increase in daylight illumination is observed with height of the station above sea level.  相似文献

In order to discuss the values and daily variation characteristics of heat storage fluxes in a tropical seasonal rain forest in Xishuangbanna, the sensible and latent heat storage flux within air column, canopy heat storage flux, energy storage by photosynthesis and ground heat storage above the soil heat flux plate, as well as the ratios of these heat storage fluxes to the net radiation in the cool-dry, hot-dry and rainy season were compared and analyzed based on the observation data of carbon fluxes, meteorological factors and biomass within this tropical seasonal rain forest from January 2003 to December 2004. The findings showed that heat storage terms ranged significantly in the daytime and weakly in the nighttime, and the absolute values of sensible and latent heat storage fluxes were obviously greater than other heat storage terms in all seasons. In addition, the absolute values of total heat storage fluxes reached the peak in the hot-dry season, then were higher in the rainy season, and reached the minimum in the cool-dry season. The ratios of heat storage fluxes to net radiation generally decreased with time in the daytime, moreover, the sensible and latent heat storage dominated a considerable fraction of net radiation, while other heat storage contents occupied a smaller fraction of the net radiation and the peak value was not above 3.5%. In the daytime, the ratios of the total heat storage to net radiation were greater and differences in these ratios were distinct among seasons before 12:00, and then they became lower and differences were small among seasons after 12:00. The energy closure was improved when the storage terms were considered in the energy balance, which indicated that heat storage terms should not been neglected. The energy closure of tropical seasonal rain forest was not very well due to effects of many factors. The results would help us to further understand energy transfer and mass exchange between tropical forest and atmosphere. Moreover, they would supply a research basis for studying energy closure at other places.  相似文献

In this paper, high-resolution wave, current and water depth fields derived by marine X-Band radar are presented for a coastal region of extreme tidal currents in the presence of inhomogeneous bathymetry at the south coast of New Zealand’s North Island. The current and water depth information for the presented location covers an area of approximately 13 km2 with a spatial resolution of 225 m and an update rate of 3 min. The sea state data provides a spatial representation of coastal effects like wave shoaling and refraction forced by bathymetry and current interaction. The near-surface current measurements about 3 km off the coast show expected tidal current pattern with maximum northwest/southeast current of 1.5–2 m/s alongshore. This is in agreement with currents from the RiCOM hydrodynamic model. The spatial resolution of the observed current field exhibits in addition small-scale current features caused by the influence of the local bathymetry. These data demonstrate the insight to be gained in complex, high-energy coastal situations through the use of high-resolution remote sensing techniques.  相似文献

The coupled ocean atmosphere mesoscale prediction system that includes the Navy Coastal Ocean Model has been configured for the Kuroshio Extension region using multiple one-way nested high-resolution grids. The coupled model system was used to simulate a strong cold-air outbreak event from 31 Jan to 7 Feb 2005 in good agreement with meteorological data from a surface buoy data and QuikSCAT scatterometer winds. Latent heat fluxes and sensible heat fluxes were computed during the event with daily averages in excess of 1,500 W/m2 and 500 W/m2, respectively, and combined instantaneous turbulent heat fluxes up to 2,300 W/m2. The largest heat fluxes were found in two large meanders of the Kuroshio and along its southern flank. Strong gradients in turbulent heat fluxes coincided with strong sea surface temperature gradients and were maintained during the cold-air outbreak simulation. The large turbulent heat fluxes lead to significant subtropical mode water formation during the event at a rate about 10 Sv in the cyclonic recirculation region south of the Kuroshio. This increased the volume of core layer mode water within the temperature range 16°C to 18°C by 10% and increased the surface area of that layer directly exposed to the atmosphere by a factor close to 5 in the model domain.  相似文献

Sensible heat flux greatly influences the Indian monsoon. In this study, we calculated sensible heat flux time‐series for 12 sites over the western Tibetan Plateau using Price and Dunne's formula and adjusting the stability function. The time‐series were derived from the field observations from the GEWEX Asian Monsoon Experiment (GAME)/Tibet programme under the Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment (GEWEX). This paper demonstrates that monthly sensible heat fluxes show strong correlations with corresponding precipitation, and that the correlation coefficients increase with precipitation amount. The preceding winter and spring solid precipitation (snowfall and resulting snowpack) can also influence sensible heat flux in May, but the situation is complex. The correlations between heat flux and snowfall at Amdo, Naqu, and Lhasa are negative, but they are positive at Gaize (also known as Gerze) and Dingri. There is a significant relationship between how the variations from the mean calculated heat fluxes at Amdo differ from those at Rikaze, or Dingri, Cuona and Longzi, and their respective June–September precipitation amounts. This phenomenon may result from changes in circulation. When the sensible heat fluxes are above average north of the influence of the Indian monsoon and below average to the south, the summer monsoon circulation develops early and with greater intensity and precipitation, and vice versa. The benthic fluxes (diffusive and with chambers) of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), dissolved oxygen (DO) and total alkalinity (TA) have been calculated in summertime in the estuary system formed by the mouths of the Tinto and Odiel rivers (SW of Spain). An increase of DIC in interstitial water with depth was found for all stations showing values of up to 28 mM at a depth of 5 cm. The diffusive fluxes of DIC and TA obtained ranging between 1.8–7.8 and 1.5–7.3 mmol m−2 d−1, respectively. These intervals are in agreement with those found for other coastal systems. Considering the plots of DIC vs. alkalinity (ΔDIC/ΔTA) in the first 30 cm of interstitial water, it was deduced that sulphate reduction and the oxidation of sulphides seem to have special relevance in the sediments of the stations studied. The benthic fluxes of inorganic carbon and DO measured by benthic chambers were variable, presenting elevated values (309–433 mmol DIC m−2 d−1 and 50–120 mmol DO m−2 d−1). The most elevated fluxes of DIC were seen at the stations with high anthropogenic influence (close to populated areas and industrial discharges). A great proportion of these fluxes are due to CaCO3 dissolution processes, which constitute an estimated 49% of total DIC flux. DIC and DO benthic flux quotients were far in excess of unity, indicating the significance processes of anaerobic degradation of organic material at the stations studied.  相似文献

This project was carried out to assess the levels and spatial distribution of organochlorine compounds in the coastal marine environment, using mussels as bioindicators to evaluate the coastal water quality. Levels of polychlorobiphenils (PCB), chlorinated pesticides (DDT isomers, HCH isomers, Aldrin, Dieldrin, alfa-Endosulfan, Hexachlorobenzene, Pentachlorobenzene) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) were determined in tissues from mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) collected along the Apulia Region coasts (Mediterranean Sea). Results indicate that contamination by organochlorine compounds is higher in mussels sampled in the Ionian Sea than in those from the Adriatic Sea, with PCB levels up to seven times higher in mussels from Ionian than from the Adriatic Sea. Although PCB levels were above the maximum values indicated by both European Community (EC) and National regulation in several sample sites, the PCB concentrations were particularly high in some stations, suggesting that these locations require a much specific attention. Conversely, results on the mussel contamination by PBDEs highlight their ubiquitous environmental distribution, and underline the need to establish the maximum level for these compounds in foodstuff, according to European Regulations.  相似文献
