粤北岩溶山地土壤垂直渗漏与粒度变化特征   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6

选择广东粤北连南两个典型岩溶山地剖面,调查了剖面裂隙、漏斗等的垂直分布特征,采样分析了土壤粒度垂向变化。结果表明:碳酸盐岩的构造运动、差异风化和溶蚀等形成的裂隙、漏斗和孔穴在降水入渗、土壤自重力和溶蚀作用下成为土壤地下迁移的通道;漏斗、裂隙及孔穴主要分布在0-10 m的范围,根据横断面调查计算,漏斗土壤占整个断面面积的23.1%-28.1%,裂隙土占整个断面面积的5.3%-8.9%,孔穴土占0.16%,土壤面积占整个剖面面积的28.4%-37.16%。在漏斗和裂隙中土壤颗粒物以粗粉沙和砂粒为主,次为粘粒和细粉沙,随深度增加砂粒含量降低,粘粒含量总体呈增加趋势但其变化与漏斗和裂隙底部形态、角度、宽度等有关;土壤粒度分布特征证明岩溶山地土壤存在水平和垂直两个运移过程以及地表侵蚀、土壤细粒物质下渗和土壤细粒物质堆积三个迁移阶段。  相似文献

Debris in basal ice produced by glaciohydraulic supercooling is typically characterized by high proportions of silt. A prominent hypothesis for this silt‐dominance is that frazil ice growing in supercooled water preferentially traps silt from sediment‐laden water percolating through it. It has therefore been suggested that silt‐dominance may be diagnostic of glaciohydraulic supercooling. The aim of our work is to test this hypothesis that freezing sediment‐laden supercooled water necessarily produces ice dominated by silt. We do this by simulating two freezing processes under laboratory conditions: (1) percolation of sediment‐laden water through frazil ice; (2) turbulent supercooling and subsequent freezing of sediment‐laden water. In experiments repeated using different particle sizes (sand, silt and clay in individual experiments) both processes entrained sand most effectively and silt least effectively. In experiments using a sediment mixture dominated by medium to coarse silt, both processes produced ice facies dominated by particle sizes between fine sand and coarse silt. These results suggest that silt‐dominance should therefore not be expected for supercooled freeze‐on, and is not a reliable diagnostic signature for supercooling. The silt‐dominated character of basal ice types associated with supercooling may result from other controls such as a silt‐dominated sediment supply or subglacial water flow rates, rather than the freezing process.  相似文献

The development and age of the present geomorphology and superficial material of the Coloradofjella plateau, Spitsbergen, have been investigated through field surveying and laboratory sediment analyses. The focus was specifically on the role of glacial erosion and periglacial processes. The summit plain is deeply incised with large V-shaped valleys. Extensive networks of ice wedge polygons indicate that the fine-grained regolith is at least a few metres thick. An abundance of coarse-grained gabbroid erratics, clearly derived from sources further to the east, are distributed over parts of the summit plain. A vertical-walled dolerite dyke protruding up to 4 m above the adjacent surface shows no sign of glacial erosion. Our findings confirm that the present bedrock geomorphology and regolith in the summit plain survived at least the Late Weichselian glaciation. This is best explained by the ice sheet having been cold-based throughout its existence on the summit plain. Cold-based conditions imply that permafrost survived the last glacial cover. Based on the geomorphic evidence and estimates of Late Cenozoic erosion, we suggest that the present summit plains roughly represent the remains of a preglacial surface.  相似文献

The sedimentology of a rock-avalanche involving ca. 7·103 m3, that happened on February 1995 at Claix, the French Alps, is analysed here. The talus shows a proximal depression due to the impact of the debris, then a grooved area with few, mainly sandy silt deposits and a downslope accumulation of coarse debris that reaches up to 3 m in thickness. The material underwent mass movement as demonstrated by the steep distal front, the strong fabric strength and the thrust planes. The greatest part of the deposits consists of a clast-supported to partially openwork debris with angular clasts over a sheared matrix-supported basal layer. The largest blocks, often more than 1 m in length, are concentrated at the surface and the front. The overall sedimentological characteristics are similar to those of the small dry grain flows that occur usually on rockfall talus, except for the abundance of fine-grained particles that results from intense cataclasis during flow. It is suggested that the deposits of such medium-scale rock-avalanches, probably not uncommon in seismic regions, may have been confused in previous studies with other slope mechanisms such as debris flow and rockfall.  相似文献

Microweathering of ice-smoothed bedrock surfaces was investigated in the Røldal area of Hardanger Plateau (60°), southern Norway. Postglacial rates of weathering were determined from surface lowering using quartz veins as reference surfaces. Weathering processes are inferred from assessment of weathering rind formation, surface hardness, and the preservation of small-scale glacial erosional features.Surface lowering rates for a range of metamorphic rocks vary from 0.05 to 2.20 mm ka− 1 and are broadly comparable with those obtained from crystalline rocks in other periglacial environments. The mean rate of surface lowering at 0.55 mm ka− 1 is low and demonstrates the relatively small impact of microweathering on postglacial landscape evolution. Variations in bedrock microweathering can be explained by lithological variation. Amphibolite and mica-rich bedrock surfaces experience greater denudation and weakening, least weathering rind formation, and abundant preservation of glacial striae, despite greater surface lowering. Conversely, quartz-rich bedrock surfaces are most resistant to denudation and weakening, but have greater weathering rind formation and fewer preserved striae. Postglacial microweathering is achieved primarily through granular disintegration involving detachment and removal of mineral grains and weakening from increased porosity. Granular decomposition is manifest in the formation of weathering rinds. Analysis of interactions between weathering indices indicates that rind accumulation is limited by microerosion.A conceptual model is proposed that illustrates the temporal interrelationships between in situ and erosional facets of microweathering in two contrasting mineral assemblages. The model proposes that cyclic processes of in situ disintegration, decomposition, and erosion are at work. The relative balance between these processes varies with lithology so that in more resistant quartz-rich rocks the net effect is minimal surface lowering and accumulation of weathering rind. In weaker, amphibolitic and micaceous rocks, the net effect is greater surface lowering and minimal accumulation of weathering rind. The results of the research demonstrate the important influence of rock properties, notably mineral composition, in postglacial microweathering of crystalline bedrock in a periglacial environment.  相似文献

Field studies and petrographic examinations of core samples and of the bedrock of the floor of the Qattara Depression, Egypt, indicate that salt weathering predominates in its western part in marked contrast to its eastern part. The eastern part of the depression is covered with more than 120-cm-thick, moist sands with sporadic occurrence of halite and gypsum due to the low salinity of the groundwater table. At the western part of the depression, the strongly saline, sodium chloride nature of the groundwater table favors crystallization of halite (and sometimes gypsum) at or near the surface of the outcropping bedrock of the Moghra clastics and/or Dabaa shale. Crystallization of halite and/or gypsum generates increased pressure that leads to mechanical disintegration of the bedrock into fine-grained debris. Features related to disintegration include blistering of the rock surface, splitting, spalling and/or granular disintegration.Alternation of dry and wet cycles favor halite crystallization, mechanical disintegration of the outcropping bedrock and dissolution of the halite cement, which exposes fine-grained debris to wind deflation. Removal of the debris from the floor of the depression leads to the accumulation of lunettes and other dunes in the downwind direction.Therefore, salt weathering provides fine-grained debris that are easily removed by deflation, which accounts for the topographically lower level of the western part of the depression (134 m below sea level (b.s.l.)). In contrast, the presence of moist sediments at the eastern part of the depression inhibits deflation and encourages sedimentation by adhesion of wind-blown sand to the damp surface of the sabkha at an elevation of 45 m below sea level.The disintegration of the bedrock of the Qattara Depression by salt weathering has been in effect since the onset of aridity in northern Egypt in Quaternary time. Whereas the initial excavation of the depression started in Late Miocene or Pliocene time by fluvial erosion, karstic process, mass-wasting and wind deflation.  相似文献

Understanding the dynamics of sediment generation and transport on hillslopes provides important constraints on the rate of sediment output from orogenic systems. Hillslope sediment fluxes are recorded by organic material found in the deposits infilling unchanneled convergent topographic features called hollows. This study describes the first hollow infilling rates measured in the southern Appalachian Mountains. Infilling rates (and bedrock erosion rates) were calculated from the vertical distribution of radiocarbon ages at two sites in the Coweeta drainage basin, western North Carolina. At each site we dated paired charcoal and silt soil organic matter samples from five different horizons. Paired radiocarbon samples were used to bracket the age of the soil material in order to capture the range of complex soil forming processes and deposition within the hollows. These dates constrain hillslope erosion rates of between 0.051 and 0.111 mm yr− 1. These rates are up to 4 times higher than spatially-averaged rates for the Southern Appalachian Mountains making creep processes one of the most efficient erosional mechanisms in this mountain range. Our hillslope erosion rates are consistent with those of forested mountain ranges in the western United States, suggesting that the mechanisms (dominantly tree throw) driving creep erosion in both the western United States and the Southern Appalachian Mountains are equally effective.  相似文献

选取云南石林红土剖面作为研究对象,探讨在岩溶盆地这一独特地貌单元中主量、稀土元素的地球化学特征。研究表明: 云南石林土壤中主量和稀土元素的组成具有较好的一致性; 通过对化学蚀变指数(CIA)与Na/K比值关系图以及A-CN-K(Al2O3-CaO*+Na2O-K2O)三角图分析发现:石林地区2个剖面均经历了温暖湿润环境下的强烈化学风化作用;石林地区土壤中稀土元素含量较高,其稀土元素球粒陨石标准化分布模式表现出高度相似性,且继承了基岩的特征,两者均表现为Eu处负异常,但剖面CK在Ce处表现为负异常,而剖面KP在Ce处无明显变化;2个剖面元素组成及含量变化基本保持一致,表明此地土壤受外来物质影响程度较小,2个剖面的元素地球化学特征与基岩存在一定相似性。  相似文献

Dissolution of extensive outcrops of limestone and dolostone in humid tropical and subtropical southern China produced numerous caves and residual hills that are referred as tower karst. This study identifies and relates the physical and chemical characteristics of the surface sediment with the limestone bedrock in Guilin to assess the influence of the limestone dissolution process on sediment composition.The results of this study indicated that (i) both limestone and dolostone of the region are very pure (99.5% and 98.5% of CaCO3 and MgCO3, respectively); (ii) the material composition of limestone and dolostone is different from that of soil and sediment of the region: constituents of surface sediments are highly related with the clastic sedimentary rocks, such as the mudstone, but show negative correlation with limestone and dolostone; (iii) the limestone formations are highly resistant to physical weathering and disintegration; their durability versus physical weathering and their high susceptibility to chemical dissolution account for why residual towers can form and persist; (iv) a dual-zone environmental structure exists vertically downward from the surface in Guilin: the zone of unconsolidated clastic sediments that is predominantly acidic, and the zone of karstified limestone that is predominantly basic. The evidence suggests that the environment and processes differ in these two zones. The chemical dissolution of limestone that formed tower karst of the region is not mainly responsible for the accumulation of clastic sediment on the surface.  相似文献

In the western part of the Canadian Prairies, there are thousands of small, closed-basin saline lakes. Most of these lakes are ephemeral, filling with water during the spring and drying completely by late summer. Ceylon Lake, located in southern Saskatchewan, is typical of many of these shallow ephemeral lacustrine basins. The stratigraphic sequence recovered from this salt playa can be subdivided into six distinct facies types: (a) icelaid gravelly clay loam diamicton; (b) fluvial massive bedded to laminated sand; (c) lacustrine laminated calcareous clay and silt; (d) lacustrine laminated gypsiferous clay and silt; (e) lacustrine black, anoxic, nonlaminated, organic-rich mud; and (f) lacustrine salt. The crystalline salt facies, which can be up to 9 meters thick, is comprised mainly of sodium and sodium + magnesium sulfates, with smaller and more variable proportions of other sulfates, halides, carbonates, and insoluble clastic detritus.Although a variety of postdepositional processes have significantly altered the nature and stratigraphic relationships in the basin, the sediment fill does record, in a general way, the fluctuating depositional, hydrological, and geochemical conditions that existed in the basin since deglaciation. The Ceylon Lake basin originated about 15 000 years ago as meltwater from the retreating glacial ice cut a major spillway system in the drift and bedrock. The initial (early Holocene) phases of lacustrine sedimentation in Ceylon Lake occurred in a relatively deep freshwater lake. By about 6000 years B.P., the lake had become much shallower with numerous episodes of complete drying and subaerial exposure. The most recent 5000 years of deposition in the basin have been dominated by evaporite sedimentation. The composition of the soluble salts deposited during this time indicates some degree of cyclic sedimentation superimposed on an overall gradual shift from a sodium dominated brine to one of mixed sodium and magnesium.  相似文献

Kongsfjorden and Krossfjorden are two ice-proximal fjords on the western coast of Spitsbergen which have been surveyed using multibeam bathymetry, sub-bottom profiling and gravity coring. Central and outer Kongsfjorden is dominated by a 30 km2 outcrop of bedrock, with a thin (<10m) sediment cover. The bedrock displays a relict sub-glacial, ice-scoured topography produced during the glacial re-advances of the Weichselian (20 Ky BP) and again during the last major Holocene re-advance of the Little Ice Age (550-200 yrs BP). Drumlins and glacial flutes are common across the floor of Kongsfjorden, with lengths of 1.5-2.5 km and widths of <100 m, rising up to 10 m in water depths of <100 m. This topography is smoothed by bottom currents from the wind-driven forcing of surface waters. The flow is counter-clockwise, matching boundary layer movement under the influence of Coriolis force. Both fjords are characterized by a variable acoustic character, based on sub-bottom profile data. The deepest basins are dominated by parallel, well-laminated reflectors and an irregular-transparent acoustic character indicating the presence of Holocene-age fine-grained sediments up to 30 m thick. A parallel, irregular-transparent acoustic character with waveform morphology in inner Kongsfjorden is interpreted as moraines, originating from the 1948 and 1869 surges of Kronebreen glacier. Mass-flows are common on the flanks of topographic highs as acoustically chaotic-transparent lensoid and wedge-shaped reflectors. The sediments of outer and central Kongsfjorden are characterized by bioturbated, gas-rich homogeneous muds interpreted as being the result of the settling of fine-grained sediment and particulate suspensions.  相似文献

We discuss the issues related to the formation of phytogenic hillocks on sand massifs in the eastern part of the Silesian Highlands. These regions formed on originally deflated fossil soils. The formation processes of hillocks are directly associated with the growth of Salix arenaria. The spread of Salix arenaria in deflation regions is not accidental but exhibits a direct linkage with underlying substrate, especially with the emergence of silt material in it. Species that colonize such regions form propagation cores of vegetation through the spread of secondary roots. Adventitious (daughter) branch roots of Salix arenaria that are responsible for the formation of phytogenic hillocks develop along the main mother roots.  相似文献

在黄河中游地区 ,选择了 5 0多个面积约 5 0 0~ 2 5 0 0平方公里的水文测站流域 ,分别代表 6种不同自然地理类型 ,在流域沟壑密度、沟间地坡度小于 15°面积百分比等地貌形态指标量计的基础上 ,进行了流域产沙量与地貌形态指标相关分析。结果表明 ,对于不同类型流域 ,流域产沙量随流域地貌的变化遵循不同的响应规律 ,而且视流域其它下垫面环境条件的均一程度 ,其相关程度和响应速率各不相同。受地面物质、植被、地貌发育阶段等流域其它下垫面环境条件的制约 ,除沟壑密度外 ,流域产沙量与流域地貌形态的关系都没有人们以前所预期的好。  相似文献

哈尔滨2002年3月20日的沙尘沉降物以粉砂(4~63 μm)为主,占71.18%,砂粒组分(>63 μm)占 21.7%,粘土(<4 μm)组分含量最少,仅占7.13%。哈尔滨2002年3月20日沙尘沉降物的粒度是迄今为止有见报道中最粗的。沉降物粒度为多峰态分布,29.16~34.67μm粒级的粗粉砂组成第一主峰,含量约占7.4%,420.45~500 μm粒级的中砂组分组成第二主峰,含量约占1.29%,而0.69~0.82 μm粒级的细粘土组分形成第三主峰,含量约占0.52%。沉降物的平均粒径Mz为28.4 μm,分选系数为1.81,偏态为0.044,峰态为1.494,粉粘比为7.3。粒度特征显示,哈尔滨沙尘沉降物是不同来源沙尘远距离和近距离搬运的混合体,粗颗粒为低空气流搬运的近源物质。哈尔滨沙尘源区的生物状况和生态环境较为恶劣,该地区沙尘暴工作的重点应放在哈尔滨周边沙尘源区的治理上。  相似文献

Clayey terrains outcropping in many parts of Italy are frequently affected by accelerated erosion processes producing landforms known as calanchi and biancane. The calanchi are intensely dissected landscapes, presenting rill and gully landforms and a dense dendritic drainage network. The biancane are landforms characterized by bare cones and hummocks, separated by flatter areas of surface wash deposits. The factors controlling the development of these two landforms are still poorly understood. This study was undertaken to identify the material properties of calanchi and biancane. The data suggest: (a) biancane tend to develop in very fine sediments, such as silty clays with a very high clay content (65–70%); (b) calanchi tend to occur in relatively coarser sediments, such as clayey silts and sandy clayey silts having a notable sand fraction (6–18%); (c) both biancane and calanchi may develop in intermediate textures, such as silty clays and clayey silts, made up of approximately equal quantities of silt and clay; (d) no strong trend in clay mineralogy can be correlated with the landforms; the swelling phyllosilicate contents are roughly equivalent in the parent materials of biancane and calanchi; (e) pore water chemistry seems to play a very important role in the development of these landforms; the biancane have high concentrations of sodium relative to other cations (essentially calcium and magnesium) in pore water; all the analysed calanchi pore waters have low concentrations of sodium relative to divalent cations.  相似文献

Based on data from the middle Yellow River, a model of erosion and sediment yield is proposed to describe coupled eolian and fluvial processes in a transitional zone from arid to sub-humid climates, and to explain rapid erosion and a high sediment yield in the zone. In the study area, wind action predominates from March to June, which erodes weathered bedrock and transports eolian sand to gullies, river channels and floodplains. In the following summer, especially from July to September, rainstorm runoff in gullies and river channels transports large quantities of fine loessic material, in the form of hyperconcentrated flow. As a result, most of the previously stored eolian sand and material supplied by mass-wasting of loess can be transported to the major tributaries and the main stream of the Yellow River, resulting in the high specific sediment yield. There exists an optimal grain size composition which maximizes suspended sediment concentration in the study area, resulted from the combined wind–water processes.  相似文献

戈壁是荒漠景观的基本类型之一。从沉积相和沉积环境的角度出发,将戈壁定义为干旱大气与砾石堆积体和裸露基岩表面相互作用的界面,由这个面覆盖的区域称作戈壁。在干旱大气环境下,砾石堆积体或基岩表面经历了机械风化作用、盐分风化和盐分微地貌作用、风力作用及荒漠漆发育等外力作用,使其与其它地区的砾石堆积体或基岩表面出现本质的不同。戈壁面特有的地质、地貌特征指示了干旱气候的存在,其中记录的有效信息可为研究干旱区气候、环境变化及新构造运动提供新的途径。  相似文献

山东黄土堆积过程记录了中国东部季风区大气环流的变化信息,对揭示东亚季风变化规律与古气候环境演变具有重要价值。本文采用参数化粒度端元分析方法探讨山东章丘剖面沉积物的沉积特征、沉积动力及其环境意义。结果表明:① 章丘剖面光释光年代(OSL)介于42.24—0.26 ka之间,为晚更新世以来的沉积物。② 章丘剖面沉积物粒度组分分为5个端元,EM1代表成壤作用产生和携带搬运的粘土组分;EM2代表高空西风远距离搬运的细粉砂组分;EM3代表以浮尘形式存在的沉降组分;EM4是该剖面的主要粉尘来源,代表地方风系作用下低空悬浮搬运的粉砂组分;EM5代表以尘暴形式近地悬移搬运的砂粒组分。EM5组分含量变化对冬季风强度变化具有较好的指示意义,并记录了晚更新世以来的气候波动事件。③ 根据各端元组分含量、低频磁化率(χlf)、土壤颜色(a*)等指标,结合OSL结果,有效指示了晚更新世以来章丘剖面沉积环境的阶段性变化,体现了全球气候环境变化的区域响应,但也存在差异性。  相似文献
