剧烈太阳活动和空间灾害天气的研究 ,是当代空间科学中最前沿、最具挑战性和最能造福人类的课题。这一研究将揭示太阳活动的成因、证认太阳活动和空间灾害天气的因果联系 ,在天文、空间和地球科学交叉领域取得实质性的学科进步 ,为实施我国国家空间天气计划提供坚实的科学基础 ,为发展我国空间科学探测准备新的概念和思路。本文评述了国家基础研究重点规划 (973)项目“剧烈太阳活动与空间灾害天气”的研究进展、科学机遇和进一步努力方向。  相似文献

A homogeneous cosmological model in higher dimension is obtained assuming a timedependent equation of state. It is observed that as usual 3-D space expands, extra space (space belonging to the other dimensions) reduces with time, thus exhibiting the desired feature of dimensional reduction. The dynamical behavior of the model is examined and it is noted that with a decrease in extra space the observable 3-D space entropy increase, thus accounting for the large value of entropy observable at present.  相似文献

Space VLBI is a new observing technique which will be available in the second half of this decade by radio telescopes as interferometer elements in orbit. Besides the main astronomical interests, this new development has some very interesting potential applications in satellite dynamics, geodesy and geodynamical research which qualify space VLBI a potential new technique in space geodesy. A geodesy demostration experiment (GEDEX) is being proposed for the Japanese space VLBI satellite-VSOP, with the main objectives of reference frame interconnections and orbit accuracy improvement of the space radio telescope. The paper gives a review of the special characteristics of space VLBI and a general background of the GEDEX proposal.  相似文献

Lunar-style space weathering is well understood, but cannot be extended to asteroids in general. The two best studied Asteroids (433 Eros and 243 Ida) exhibit quite different space weathering styles, and neither exhibits lunar-style space weathering. It must be concluded that at this time the diversity and mechanisms of asteroid space weathering are poorly understood. This introduces a significant unconstrained variable into the problem of analyzing asteroid spectral data. The sensitivity of asteroid surface material characterizations to space weathering effects - whatever their nature - is strongly dependent upon the choice of remote sensing methodology. The effects of space weathering on some methodologies such as curve matching are potentially devastating and at the present time essentially unmitigated. On other methodologies such as parametric analysis (e.g., analyses based on band centers and band area ratios) the effects are minimal. By choosing the appropriate methodology(ies) applied to high quality spectral data, robust characterizations of asteroid surface mineralogy can be obtained almost irrespective of space weathering. This permits sophisticated assessments of the geologic history of the asteroid parent bodies and of their relationships to the meteorites. Investigations of the diversity of space weathering processes on asteroid surfaces should be a fruitful area for future efforts.  相似文献

Space debris—man-made non-functional objects of all sizes in near-Earth space—has been recognized as an increasing threat for current and future space operations. The debris population in near-Earth space has therefore been extensively studied during the last decade. Information on objects at altitudes higher than about 2,000 km is, however, still comparatively sparse. Debris in this region is best detected by surveys utilizing optical telescopes. Moreover, the instruments and the applied observation techniques, as well as the processing methods, have many similarities with those used in optical surveys for ‘astronomical’ objects like near-Earth objects (NEOs). The present article gives a general introduction to the problem of space debris, presents the used observation and processing techniques emphasizing the similarities and differences compared to optical surveys for NEOs, and reviews the results from optical surveys for space debris in high-altitude Earth orbits. Predictions on the influence of space debris on the future of space research and space astronomy in particular are reported as well.  相似文献

Space Science helped the start of the open space race after the launch of Sputnik-1 in 1957. Conversely, the use of space vehicles during the cold war allowed the scientists to conduct many observations and make discoveries which have dramatically changed our views of our own Solar System and of the Universe. What will be the future of this activity in the next century, with the disappearance of the cold war justification and in the context of shrinking budgets? Is there a future for space exploration? For what benefit and how will space science programmes be conducted? Who will be the main players? Are there limits to our ability to explore? The pioneers of space research in the post-Sputnik-1 era, like J-L. Steinberg, had both an easier and a more difficult time than space scientists of today. Nevertheless, space science will only survive in the next century if it succeeds in reaching the deep interest and motivation of society at large.  相似文献

随着航天活动的增加,产生的空间碎片也越来越多,空间环境日趋恶化,已经对人类的空间活动构成了威胁。监视测量这些空间碎片,天基光电比地基光电更为有利,而天基光电的光学可见条件与地基光电相比,有相似的,也有不同的,针对天基光电,给出了空间碎片的光学可见条件,即日光条件、地影条件、地光条件、地球背景条件、月光条件。在天基光电轨道特征、光学可见条件及天基光电坐标系已知的情况下,建立起天基光电预报方法。既可用于空间碎片预报,也可以用于空间碎片的轨道识别。  相似文献

Studying space weather is an excellent subject for getting people interested in space science in general; therefore, it is being included as part of the education and public outreach activities being organized during the International Heliophysical Year (IHY). The general public find the subject interesting because variation in the space environment, i.e., space weather, can be related to their daily lives. The international organization concerned with space weather is called the International Space Environment Service (ISES). This organization is composed of the World Warning Agency (WWA) and 11 Regional Warning Centers (RWCs). The WWA and RWCs collect, collate, and disseminate space weather information on a regular basis. This report contains history and activities of the ISES.  相似文献

中国计划于2025年左右建立月球轨道VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometer)测站,将会搭载被动型星载氢钟作为时间频率标准.由于是首次在VLBI观测中使用星载氢钟,需要研究和验证其可行性.因此,利用星载氢钟作为频率基准开展了VLBI观测.实验时,分别使用主动型地面氢钟和被动型星载氢钟作为频率基准,利用上海天文台佘山25 m射电望远镜和其他测站对我国火星探测器天问一号进行了交替VLBI观测.数据处理分析结果表明,基于地面氢钟与星载氢钟的VLBI残余群时延标准差均在0.5 ns以内,表明星载氢钟可满足深空探测VLBI测定轨的精度要求,验证了其作为月球VLBI测站频率基准的可行性.  相似文献

The impact of the space environment upon living organisms is profound. Its effects range from alterations in sub-cellular processes to changes in the structure and function of whole organ systems. As the number of astronaut and cosmonaut crews flown in space has grown, so to has our understanding of the effects of the space environment upon biological systems. There are many parallels between the physiology of space flight and terrestrial disease processes, and the response of astronaut crews themselves to long-duration space deployment is therefore of central interest. In the next 15 years the International Space Station (ISS) will serve as a permanently manned dedicated life and physical sciences platform for the further investigation of these phenomena. The European Space Agency's Columbus module will hold the bulk of the ISS life science capability and, in combination with NASA's Human Research Facility (HRF) will accommodate the rack mounted experimental apparatus. The programme of experimentation will include efforts in fundamental biology, human physiology, behavioural science and space biomedical research. In the four decades since Yuri Gagarin first orbited the Earth, space life science has emerged as a field of study in its own right. The ISS takes us into the next era of human space exploration, and it is hoped that its programme of research will yield new insights, novel therapeutic interventions, and improved biotechnology for terrestrial application. Modern star trackers are based on photodetector arrays such as CCD or CMOS arrays. The accuracy of commercially available devices is ~1–3 arcseconds. However, the development of the space industry calls for higher orientation accuracies, which are needed in laser space communications, monitoring of near-Earth space and space debris, high-precision global mapping, and remote sensing of the Earth. The problems associated with enhancing the accuracy of modern star trackers are discussed.  相似文献

The processes of space debris formation are described; the urgency of the problem of its removal from near-Earth space is noted. A method to prevent the clogging of space by equipping a spacecraft to be launched into orbit with additional devices, simple in design and mode of operation, is presented. China plans to establish a lunar orbital VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometer) station around 2025, which will carry a space passive hydrogen maser as the time and frequency reference. Since it is the first time to use a space passive hydrogen maser for VLBI observation, its feasibility needs to be studied and verified. Therefore, we carried out VLBI observations using the space passive hydrogen maser as the frequency reference. In the experiment, the active hydrogen atomic clock and space passive hydrogen maser were used as the frequency standard, and the alternate VLBI observations of China’s Mars probe TW1 (Tianwen 1) were carried out using the 25 m radio telescope at Sheshan, Shanghai, and other VLBI stations. The results of data processing and analysis show that the standard deviation of VLBI residual group delay based on both active hydrogen atomic clock and space passive hydrogen maser are within 0.5 ns, which indicates that the space passive hydrogen maser can meet the accuracy requirements of VLBI measurement for deep space exploration, and verify its feasibility as the frequency standard of lunar orbital VLBI stations.  相似文献

In order to investigate redshift space distortion effect on voids, VIDE (Void Identification and Examination toolkit) algorithm is used to find cosmic voids in real space and redshift space based on a mock galaxy catalog produced by the semi-analytical galaxy formation model. The voids can be divided into “collapsed” type and “expanded” type, according to the galaxy velocity on the void wall. The results show that the fraction of the “collapsed” voids decrease as the voids’ size grows, while “expanded” voids are contrary. The effective radius of two type voids differs by 20% in real space, and the mean radial density profile of “collapsed” voids is significant higher than that of “expanded” voids. Using the member galaxies to match the voids in two spaces, the comparison of the voids’ number distributions of two spaces shows that the difference of voids’ number between them is related to the voids’ size, and half of the voids in redshift space can not matched to the voids in real space. For the matched voids, the redshift space distortion has stronger effect on the density profile of the “collapsed” voids. For the unmatched ones, their density profile is clearly different, and the infall movement of galaxies on their shell is more obvious in real space.  相似文献

The formation of space debris as an accumulation of small heavenly bodies in near-Earth space is considered. How debris can arise in near-Earth space is described. The accumulation of debris is shown to have a ring structure. The formation and spatial distribution of debris are statistically analyzed. Orbital correlation of space objects is one of the most important elements in space object identification. Using the orbital elements, we provide correlation criteria to determine if objects are coplanar,co-orbital or the same. We analyze the prediction error of the correlation parameters for different orbital types and propose an orbital correlation method for space objects. The method is validated using two line elements and multisatellite launching data. The experimental results show that the proposed method is effective, especially for space objects in near-circular orbits.  相似文献

The Big Bang model assumes that the Universe expands by continuously changing the relationship between the metrics of space and time. However, the relationship between space and time could remain constant during the cosmological expansion and all cosmological locations in time and space could be equivalent, if the metrics of both space and time expand. The Scale Expanding Cosmos theory accurately models the universe we observe and offers simple and direct explanations for several cosmological enigmas. I will argue that an ambitious programme of human space exploration, involving a return to the Moon, and eventually human missions to Mars, will add greatly to human knowledge. Gathering such knowledge is the primary aim of science, but science’s compartmentalisation into isolated academic disciplines tends to obscure the overall strength of the scientific case. Any consideration of the scientific arguments for human space exploration must therefore take a holistic view, and integrate the potential benefits over the entire spectrum of human knowledge. Moreover, science is only one thread in a much larger overall case for human space exploration. Other threads include economic, industrial, educational, geopolitical and cultural benefits. Any responsibly formulated public space policy must weigh all of these factors before deciding whether or not an investment in human space activities is scientifically and socially desirable.  相似文献
