Thorough understanding of the shock metamorphic signatures of zircon could be the basis for the use of this mineral as a powerful tool for the study of old, deeply eroded, and metamorphically overprinted impact structures and formations. This study of the cathodoluminescence (CL) and Raman spectroscopic signatures of experimentally (20-60 GPa) shock-metamorphosed zircon single crystals contributes to the understanding of high-pressure microdeformation in zircon. For all samples, an inverse relationship between the brightness of the backscattered electron (BSE) signal and the corresponding cathodoluminescence intensity was observed. The unshocked sample shows crosscutting, irregular fractures. The 20 GPa sample displays some kind of mosaic texture of CL brighter and darker domains, but does not exhibit any shock metamorphic features in BSE or CL images. The 40 GPa sample shows a high density of lamellar features, which might be explained by the phase transformation between zircon- and scheelite-structure phases of zircon and resulting differences in the energy levels of the activator elements. The CL spectra of unshocked and shocked (20, 40, and 60 GPa) zircon samples are dominated by narrow emission lines and broad bands in the region of visible light and in the near-UV range. The emission lines result from rare earth element activators and the broad bands might be associated with lattice defects. Raman spectra revealed that the unshocked and 20 GPa samples represent zircon-structure material, whereas the 40 GPa sample yielded additional peaks with relatively high peak intensities, which are indicative of the presence of the scheelite-type high-pressure phase. The 60 GPa sample has a Raman signature that is similar to that of an amorphous phase, in contrast to the observations of an earlier TEM study that the crystalline scheelite-structure phase is stable at this shock pressure. The 60 GPa Raman signature cannot be explained at this stage. The results show a clear dependence of the CL and Raman properties of zircon on shock pressure, which confirm the possible usage of these methods as shock indicators.  相似文献

岩矿样中包含有大量高密度金属物质,致使其在工业CT图像上产生了金属伪影,严重影响岩矿样参数分析的准确性。为抑制岩矿样CT图像的金属伪影,本文提出一种基于双域自适应网络的岩矿样CT图像金属伪影校正算法(DDA-CNN-MAR),将含有金属伪影的CT图像分别通过投影域网络和图像域网络进行金属伪影的抑制,自适应融合双域处理结果,实现由含伪影图像到无伪影图像的端到端映射。该算法以残差编解码网络模型(RED-CNN)为基础,易于提取特征并恢复图像细节;双域结构可自适应调整投影域(伪影抑制)和图像域(细节修复)的权重,借以获得最优的校正结果。研究结果表明,较之于RED-CNN-MAR,经过DDA-CNN-MAR方法校正的图像,MSE减小2.570,而PSNR和SSIM则分别提高1.218 dB和0.018,有效提升岩矿样CT成像的图像质量。   相似文献

Abstract

Low-temperature scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe metamorphosed snow, glacial firn, and glacial ice obtained from South Cascade Glacier in Washington State, USA. Biotic samples consisting of algae (Chlamydomonas nivalis) and ice worms (a species of oligochaetes) were also collected and imaged. In the field, the snow and biological samples were mounted on copper plates, cooled in liquid nitrogen, and stored in dry shipping containers which maintain a temperature of-196°C. The firn and glacier ice samples were obtained by extracting horizontal ice cores, 8 mm in diameter, at different levels from larger standard glaciological (vertical) ice cores 7.5 cm in diameter. These samples were cooled in liquid nitrogen and placed in cryotubes, were stored in the same dry shipping container, and sent to the SEM facility. In the laboratory, the samples were sputter coated with platinum and imaged by a low-temperature SEM. To image the firn and glacier ice samples, the cores were fractured in liquid nitrogen, attached to a specimen holder, and then imaged. While light microscope images of snow and ice are difficult to interpret because of internal reflection and refraction, the SEM images provide a clear and unique view of the surface of the samples because they are generated from electrons emitted or reflected only from the surface of the sample. In addition, the SEM has a great depth of field with a wide range of magnifying capabilities. The resulting images clearly show the individual grains of the seasonal snowpack and the bonding between the snow grains. Images of firn show individual ice crystals, the bonding between the crystals, and connected air spaces. Images of glacier ice show a crystal structure on a scale of 1–2 mm which is considerably smaller than the expected crystal size. Microscopic air bubbles, less than 15 μm in diameter, clearly marked the boundaries between these crystal-like features. The life forms associated with the glacier were easily imaged and studied. The low-temperature SEM sample collecting and handling methods proved to be operable in the field; the SEM analysis is applicable to glaciological studies and reveals details unattainable by conventional light microscopic methods.  相似文献

Papago Park, Arizona, is a pediment-inselberg complex that hosts a variety of well developed tafoni and alveolar weathering forms. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the nature of chemical weathering associated with the tafoni using backscatter electron microscopy (BSE) and quantitative wavelength dispersive X-ray analysis (WDS). Calcium-rich and iron-rich coatings occur on the outer shells of the tafoni. Calcium carbonate precipitation within mineral microfractures occurs on the underside of the tafoni. Chemical weathering of primary mineral grains provides a source of material found in the coatings. The WDS analyses show a near-complete lack of salt-forming elements. Geochemical analysis of fine grained (<20 μm) tephra found in ice cores is inherently difficult, due to the typically low number and small size of available particles. Ice core tephra samples require specialized sample preparation techniques to maximize the amount of information that can be gained from these logistically limited samples that may provide important chronology to an ice record, as well as linking glacial, marine and terrestrial sediments. We have developed a flexible workflow for preparation of tephra and cryptotephra samples to allow accurate and robust geochemical fingerprinting, which is fundamental to tephrochronology. The samples can be prepared so that secondary electron imagery can be obtained for morphological characterization of the samples to ensure that the sample is tephra-bearing and then the sample can be further prepared for quantitative electron microprobe analysis using wavelength dispersive techniques (EMP-WDS), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS), laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) or secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). Some samples may be too small for typical instrumentation conditions to be used (i.e. 20 μm beam on the EMP) to analyze for geochemistry and we present other techniques that can be employed to obtain accurate, although less precise, geochemistry. Methods include analyzing unpolished tephra shards less than 5 μm in diameter with a 1 μm beam on an SEM; using the “broad beam overlap” EMP method on irregular particles less than 20 μm in diameter, and analyzing microlitic shards as well as aphyric shards using EMP to increase the number of analyzed shards in low abundance tephra layers. The methods presented are flexible enough to be employed in other geological environments (terrestrial, marine and glacial) which will help maximize and integrate multiple environments into the overall tephra framework.  相似文献

文中通过对海南岛北部卫星遥感影像的解译分析,对该区活动断裂的分布与发育情况进行了研究。首先选取光学影像和雷达影像为主要数据源,在数据预处理及信息增强处理的基础上,进行了多源遥感信息融合处理,以综合利用各类数据源;其次结合研究区已有研究成果,分析遥感影像上地质地貌特征的表现,以建立研究区的解译标志,分析提取各类地质体影像特征;最后,综合分析研究区的地质地貌特征,对海南岛北部活动构造的分布与发育情况进行了全面深入的遥感解译。研究发现,研究区内主要存在EW、NW及NE向3组活动断裂,其中EW及NW向断裂对海南岛北部的地质地貌发育情况影响很大,对该区地震的发生起了比较大的控制作用  相似文献

利用遥感影像的光谱分析和纹理分析技术,研究了长白山天池火山地区IKONOS影像的光谱特征以及纹理特征。对照野外实际调查结果,选取了8种训练样本类别,首先使用波谱角技术(SAM)和最大似然法进行分类,并通过混淆矩阵评价分类结果;然后,引入了ENVI的二阶概率矩阵法的纹理分析,利用差异性(Dissimilarity)纹理特征图对地物建立了纹理解译标志;最后,通过光谱和纹理结合的方法得出了最终的分类结果,使得分类精度得到了很大提高。以研究区广泛分布的浮岩为例,确定了浮岩的分布范围和相对厚度分布,分析了不同厚度浮岩的地形特征  相似文献

Mass transport is known to depend on heterogeneity in geological formations. This entails geological bodies with complex geometries. The major interest of multiple-point simulation is its ability to reproduce such geological features through the use of a training image. The idea behind the training image is to describe a geological concept with the expected geological architecture. Its structural content is then used to infer multiple-point statistics. This yields a database with a variety of possible patterns or events. In this paper, we present a hybrid algorithm combining geostatistical multiplepoint and texture synthesis techniques for simulating geological reservoir models constrained to hard data. The proposed algorithm is a two steps process, involving first analysis with the building of an organized database from the training image content, and second synthesis with the simulation of a realization. Various tests are performed to investigate the potential of the algorithm in terms of computation time and ability to properly reproduce the shapes and connectivity features of the objects represented in the training image. We also propose a few improvements to make the algorithm more efficient. Last, six examples are presented based upon different kinds of training images depicting large-scale channelized and fractured media as well as fine-scale porous media.  相似文献

Variogram-based methods are not capable of capturing high (>2) order statistics since the variogram measures the relationship between two points at a time only. Multiple-point geostatistics (MPS) has brought new insights into many geological modeling problems. The application of MPS methods has been well documented in realizing complex geological patterns. These methods have often been used in reservoir characterization since their advent in recent decades. The frequent non-linear behaviors of geologic continuity are not limited to reservoirs, but mineral deposits bear complicated formations in many cases. Relying on the power of MPS methods and considering the complexity of geological scenarios in mineral deposits, we have applied MPS in the modeling of mineral deposits. A training image (TI) is produced using geological data from upper horizons of a porphyry copper ore deposit which have been mined out during the previous mining operations. In this study, the SNESIM algorithm has been used. A number of realizations are produced using this multiple-point geostatistical method. Extensive validation steps are performed considering the TI as the reference model. These validations first show that the TI is representative for the domain under study and also illustrates some degrees of similarity between the TI and the realizations. Despite simplifications made to the problem, the application of MPS in mineral deposit modeling still faces many challenges.  相似文献

Magnetic minerals are mostly identified by a combination of rock magnetic and microscopic techniques and the ferrofluid method in combination with an optical microscope was applied during the last decades. But today, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is preferred for the observation of mineral phases because its depth of focus and resolving capability at the same magnification. In this study, we report on a method, which allows ferrofluid application under the SEM. We coated a polished basalt sample containing titanomagnetite grains with high demagnetizing fields, with a colloidal suspension containing magnetite particles (ferrofluid) ranging in size between 11 and 20 nm. Due to large gradients of multidomain grains the ferrofluid particles adhered to their surfaces. Other grains of similar composition present (ilmenohematite) but with low demagnetizing fields do not generate large magnetic gradients and therefore do not attract the colloidal particles. Upon evaporation of the ferrofluid and covering the sample with conducting material the magnetic grains with high demagnetizing field are easily identifiable under the scanning electron microscope. The different mineralogy observed by this method is confirmed by temperature dependent variation of magnetic susceptibility, revealing titanomagnetite and ilmenohematite as magnetic carriers in the basaltic samples.  相似文献

x射线投影计算机仿真可以排除实际x射线断层扫描过程中的随机因素,更好地验证扫描方式、图像重建方法等的正确性,为实际系统的实现、完善以及重建算法的改进等提供理论依据。本文基于一种典型的计算机分层成像(CL)系统,针对电子线路板大多为长方体薄板的事实,研究了长方体构件的投影仿真计算方法;设计了仿真芯片模体,对其进行投影计算机仿真;并与系统实验结果对比,得到了较为满意的结果。该方法为后续改进图像重建算法、分析误差来源、校正伪影等研究提供了良好的基础。  相似文献

本文针对油气藏储层预测中的不连续及非均质地质信息识别问题,研究基于地震成像数据的稀疏反演方法.由于该类地质体的地震响应特征为弱信号,因此利用平面波破坏滤波器由地震成像数据中去除强反射同相轴.在此基础上,对剩余的地震数据进行非线性加强滤波,并构建L1稀疏反演模型.为有效求解L1模型,采用非光滑泛函L1范数逼近和拟牛顿求解算法.该方法考虑稀疏先验信息,能够提高反演结果信噪比.缝洞模型测试验证该方法在检测断点、微断裂、散射点等小尺度地质体上的有效性,塔北缝洞型碳酸盐岩储层预测的应用效果进一步证实该方法的实用性.  相似文献

含速度大脉冲的强地震动具有复杂的特性,人工提取速度大脉冲特征的方法较繁琐,故利用卷积神经网络(CNN)在图像特征自动提取方面的优势,提出基于卷积神经网络图像识别的速度大脉冲识别方法。基于美国太平洋地震工程研究中心NGA-West1数据库提供的强地震动记录,筛选出6 000条非脉冲记录和91条含有速度大脉冲的强地震动记录。采用在原始记录中加入高斯噪声和过采样的方法,使2类记录样本数量达到均衡。利用本文建立的卷积神经网络模型对2类记录速度时程图进行特征自动提取和分类识别,结果显示测试集准确率为99%,表明本文卷积神经网络模型能够自动提取速度大脉冲特征,进而复现已有结果。将本文方法与传统方法进行了对比,结果表明,对含有多个速度脉冲的强地震动记录的识别,本文方法优于传统方法,具有较高的可靠性、鲁棒性、灵活性。  相似文献

激光三维扫描和三维地质建模技术的应用,使得工程地质体的变形、沉降、扭转、位移勘察工作变得更加高效、快速和经济.简要介绍了逆向工程的基本思想,探讨了逆向工程在工程勘察中的应用模式,基于激光三维扫描仪器Trimble GS200和三维数据处理软件CATIA,阐述了工程勘察过程中数字模型的建立方法和图像数据的处理流程,并通过对处理结果的分析来完成工程勘察的目标.通过对一个实体数据实例的分析和模拟,实现了对实体表面地质数据的全面分析和动态监控.分析发现,联合应用激光三维扫描和三维地质建模技术,能够在河道变形分析、大坝位移与变形监测、飞机跑道路面勘察、桥梁变形监测等工程勘察工作中发挥作用,其发展前景非常广阔.  相似文献

五峰-龙马溪组页岩是目前国内页岩气勘探的首选层位,而其地震岩石物理特征是利用地震方法进行"甜点"预测的重要基础之一,但对五峰-龙马溪组页岩地震弹性特征变化规律的研究并未考虑沉积、成岩过程的影响,致使相应的规律性认识缺乏地质意义.在对五峰-龙马溪组页岩样品系统声学测量基础上,分析了页岩样品地震弹性性质的变化规律.利用X射线衍射分析、扫描电镜(SEM)、阴极发光(CL)与能谱分析确定了五峰-龙马溪组页岩在不同沉积环境下的成岩过程,并讨论了成岩过程与地震弹性性质变化规律的因果关系.研究结果表明,页岩中有机质(TOC)受高热演化程度的影响,其密度通常高于1.4 g·cm-3,并接近于有机碳密度上限1.6 g·cm-3(石墨密度).五峰-龙马溪组页岩地震弹性性质变化规律整体受沉积环境控制,沉积环境的差异形成不同的成岩过程,致使地震弹性特征也表现出不同的变化规律.表现在五峰-龙马溪页岩样品动态岩石物理特征主要受岩石结构控制(支撑颗粒弹性性质),而孔隙度、TOC含量以及孔隙形状则为对地震弹性特征影响的次一级因素.五峰-龙马溪组页岩上段为浅水陆棚相,机械压实与化学压实(硅质胶结)为先后两个过程,造成样品表现出高的速度-孔隙度变化率、高速度比(泊松比)、高各向异性以及低TOC含量的特征.五峰-龙马溪组页岩下段为深水陆棚相,机械压实过程中同时伴有生物成因的硅质胶结,造成岩石样品表现出较高TOC含量与孔隙度、各向异性较弱以及较小的速度-孔隙度变化率.研究结果可为五峰-龙马溪页气储层的测井解释和地震"甜点"预测提供依据.  相似文献

This paper develops the generalised effective‐medium theory of induced polarisation for rock models with elliptical grains and applies this theory to studying the complex resistivity of typical mineral rocks. We first demonstrate that the developed generalised effective‐medium theory of induced polarisation model can correctly represent the induced polarisation phenomenon in multiphase artificial rock samples manufactured using pyrite and magnetite particles. We have also collected representative rock samples from the Cu–Au deposit in Mongolia and subjected them to mineralogical analysis using Quantitative Evaluation of Minerals by Scanning Electron Microscopy technology. The electrical properties of the same samples were determined using laboratory complex resistivity measurements. As a result, we have established relationships between the mineral composition of the rocks, determined using Quantitative Evaluation of Minerals by Scanning Electron Microscopy analysis, and the parameters of the generalised effective‐medium theory of induced polarisation model defined from the laboratory measurements of the electrical properties of the rocks. These relationships open the possibility for remote estimation of types of mineralisation and for mineral discrimination using spectral induced polarization data.  相似文献
