Small-scale heterogeneities like crossbedding hamper fluid flow and cause oil to be capillary trapped at the intersections of coarser to finer lamina. These effects are fairly well established, but less well established is the method to construct an adequate flow cell model containing critical hydraulic properties like bed-shape and -size, lamina-shape, -angle and boundaries. Nor is it trivial how to obtain those features from well and core. We therefore propose to systematically describe geometry and distribution of beds. To this end we make use of standard flow cell models that a priori contain all elements and boundaries of beds for a number of bedding types.  相似文献

开展海上复杂断块油田储层流动单元研究对刻画储层连通程度、剩余油的分布情况有着十分重要的实际意义。以北部湾A油田A1/A5断块为例,首先对复合砂体内单砂体的识别来建立流动单元研究的精细地质格架,然后结合断层封闭性、隔夹层分布、砂体接触关系所形成的渗流屏障进行流动单元划分。利用主成分分析和相关性分析的方法进行参数优选,确定孔隙度、泥质含量、渗流系数作为研究区流动单元分类的主要参数,并通过神经网络聚类分析将流动单元分为3类。在单井、剖面、平面流动单元展布研究的基础上,运用截断高斯模拟方法建立流动单元三维地质模型。结果表明:Ⅰ类流动单元具有最好的储渗能力,所钻油井累计产量比较高,但分布范围局限,成土豆状分布于水下分流河道中心部分;Ⅱ类分布范围最广,储渗能力较好,分布在水下分流河道微相中,剩余油分布较多,通过调整挖潜可以开发其生产潜力;Ⅲ类大多成条带状分布,主要位于水下溢岸砂沉积部位,储渗能力最差,产量很低,其开发潜力也比较差。  相似文献

The reservoir architecture of methane hydrate (MH) bearing turbidite channels in the eastern Nankai Trough, offshore Japan is evaluated using a combination of 3-D seismic and well data. On the 3-D seismic section, the MH-bearing turbidite channels correspond to complex patterns of strong seismic reflectors, which show the 3-D internal architecture of the channel complex. A seismic-sequence stratigraphic analysis reveals that the channel complex can be roughly classified into three different stages of depositional sequence (upper, middle, and lower). Each depositional sequence results in a different depositional system that primarily controls the reservoir architecture of the turbidite channels. To construct a 3-D facies model, the stacking patterns of the turbidite channels are interpreted, and the reservoir heterogeneities of MH-bearing sediments are discussed. The identified channels at the upper sequence around the β1 well exhibit low-sinuosity channels consisting of various channel widths that range from tens to several hundreds of meters. Paleo-current flow directions of the turbidite channels are typically oriented along the north-northeast-to-south-southwest direction. High-amplitude patterns were identified above the channels along the north-to-south and north-northeast-to-south-southeast directions. These roughly coincide with the paleo-current flow of the turbidite channels. An interval velocity using high-density velocity analysis shows that velocity anomalies (>2000 m/s) are found on the northeastern side of the turbidite channels. The depositional stage of the northeastern side of the turbidite channels exhibits slightly older sediment stages than the depositional stages of the remaining channels. Hence, the velocity anomalies of the northeastern side of the channels are related to the different stages of sediment supply, and this may lead to the different reservoir architectures of the turbidite channels.  相似文献

Bitumen reservoirs dominated by inclined heterolithic stratification (IHS) formed in large point bars of the Aptian (Lower Cretaceous) McMurray Formation in the northwestern part of the Corner oil sand lease (Alberta, Canada) were investigated to establish their value. Hybrid production technologies were applied to thin pay, typified by homogeneous reservoir sand units thicker than 5 m at the base overlain by IHS (so-called ‘thin pay’), as well as IHS-dominated reservoirs in which the IHS extends down to the base of the reservoir. High-resolution seismic data and well data (core, dipmeter, HMI) were used to map four facies associations, comprising a total of 16 sedimentary facies, as well as various fluid contacts to assist in reservoir characterization and risk assessment. The conceptual depositional model was based on the analysis of the migration and re-orientation history of the IHS-dominated point bars reflecting lateral accretion, downstream migration, rotation and relocation of the bars. Multiple reactivation events, which control the heterolithic nature and reservoir quality of the deposits, create developable “pools”.Seven electrofacies (with generally increasing mud content) were defined and used as input to construct vertical proportion curves that relate the electrofacies distribution to geomodel statistics in the main reservoir zone. At the electrofacies scale, numerical effective porosity-permeability models were created using micromodeling and minimodeling concepts. The geometrical shape of the electrofacies in the geomodel was investigated using non-stationary Truncated Gaussian (TG) facies simulation to enforce the stacking patterns. Each geomodel area was characterized using one variogram to efficiently compute the horizontal and vertical variogram ranges and average azimuths. Sequential Gaussian simulation (SGS) was used to map the distribution of key petrophysical parameters such as effective porosity, effective water saturation and Vshale. Empirically derived saturation versus elevation profiles for each electrofacies were included in the modeling. The distributions from the micro- and mini-modeling were introduced using probability field (P-field) simulation. To investigate the amount of connected resources (the degree of connectivity of good sand as well as IHS) were extractable flow simulation studies were performed at the pad scale. In preparation for reservoir simulation, connectivity calculations within the local pool geomodel realizations were tailored for the reservoir heterogeneities (i.e., IHS) that are expected to have a major impact on the specific thermal and gravity drainage extraction processes. 储层沉积微相是影响储层非均质性的重要因素之一,准确预测储层沉积微相分布对认识储层非均质性、提高油田油气采收率具有重要意义.储层随机建模方法具有很强的地质适用性,合理选择随机建模方法能够有效提高模型精度.以东濮凹陷濮城油田沙三中亚段6-10水下扇油藏为例,由于水下扇沉积储层微相具有几何构型及空间分布复杂的特点,选择序贯指示建模可以对不同微相采用不同变差函数来表征其空间分布结构特征,从而再现储层微相复杂的空间分布.通过定义沟道吻合程度参数Mat对模拟实现进行检验,抽稀井沟道吻合程度参数Mat平均值达到84.7%,表明建模结果具有较高的准确度.序贯指示建模适合于建立水下扇储层沉积微相模型.  相似文献

Facies and diagenetic heterogeneities in carbonate reservoir rocks affect both, fracture distribution and fracture permeability. Many studies focussed on fracture patterns in limestone–marl alternations, as e.g. fluid flow models, are based on laterally continuous beds. Here we examine 4010 fractures in multiple layers of limestone–marl alternations using a modified scan-line method. The studied successions belong to the Blue Lias Formation (Hettangian–Sinemurian), exposed on the coast of the Bristol Channel, United Kingdom. We combine methods of sedimentology and structural geology with rock physics to gain a better understanding of the role of facies, diagenesis and petrophysical properties (tensile and compressive strength, hardness, porosity) on the distribution of fractures (fracture orientation, density, spacing and height). Fracture distribution varies significantly despite similar bed thicknesses, indicating that planar bedding planes (i.e. well-bedded limestones, WBL) and beds with bedding plane irregularities (i.e. semi-nodular limestones, SNL) must be distinguished. SNL show higher percentages of non-stratabound fractures (67%) while they are more stratabound in WBL (57%). Additionally, beds with variable bed thicknesses (in scale of 15 m long beds) exhibit a wide range of fracture spacing, whereas fractures in beds with more continuous bed thicknesses are more regularly spaced. Considering all lithologies, the percentage of non-stratabound fractures increases proportionally with CaCO3 content. Three subsections studied in detail reveal different main sedimentological and diagenetic features (from early lithified over differentially compacted to physically compacted). All of them are characterised by dissimilar percentages of stratabound and non-stratabound fractures in limestone beds and marl interbeds. Our findings demonstrate that the distribution of fractures in individual well-bedded limestones is not necessarily representative for successions of limestone–marl alternations; multiple layers should therefore be studied in outcrop analogues as basis for fluid flow models of reservoirs composed of such lithologies.  相似文献

在水平井地质导向随钻跟踪中,通常利用临井的测井资料建立地质导向前导模型指导随钻.该模型在水平井着陆阶段能相对准确地预测目的层的深度,但在水平段随钻跟踪时,要保证钻头始终控制在目的层内物性较好的部位钻进,仅靠临井的井资料插值预测储层物性,误差就比较大.为此,针对地质导向前导模型储层横向非均质预测的缺陷,把基于模型的地震波阻抗反演技术引入到地质导向模型修正中,预测目的层横向非均质性,指导水平井水平段随钻跟踪服务,以控制井轨迹始终在储层物性较好的部位钻进,提高储层钻遇率.此方法经过实钻水平井的验证,达到了良好的效果.  相似文献

Reservoir characterization based on geostatistics method requires well constraints (e.g. seismic data with high quality) to predict inter-well reservoir quality that is conformed to geological laws. Nevertheless, the resolution of seismic data in multiple basins or reservoirs is not high enough to recognize the distribution of different types of sand bodies. In this paper, we propose a new method to improve the precision of reservoir characterization: reservoir modeling with the constrains of sedimentary process model and sedimentary microfacies. We employed stratigraphic forward modeling, a process-based method, to constrain the reservoir modeling in one oil-bearing interval of the third member of Eocene Shahejie Formation in J-Oilfield of Liaoxi Sag, Bohai Bay Basin.We divide reservoir modeling into two orders using different types of constrains. In the first order, we use the simulated shale model from stratigraphic forward model that is corrected by wells data as a 3D trend volume to constrain the reservoir sand-shale modeling. In the second order, different types of sedimentary microfacies in the sandy part of the model are further recognized and simulated within the constrains of sedimentary microfacies maps. Consequently, the porosity, permeability and oil saturation are modeled under the control of precise sedimentary microfacies model. The high-resolution reservoir model shows that the porosity, permeability and oil saturation of distributary channel is generally above 20%, 10md and 50%, respectively, which are much higher than that of other types of sedimentary microfacies. It can be concluded that comparing to other types of sedimentary facies, distributary channel has better physical properties and more oil accumulation in the fan-delta front and therefore is the most favorable zones for petroleum development in the research area.  相似文献

根据板东构造板东4井等长兴组钻探资料,对长兴组的生物礁进行了研究。研究表明板东构造长兴组储集岩有生物(屑)泥晶灰岩-含生物(屑)泥晶灰岩、礁灰岩和白云岩。综合储集岩物性特征、区域钻、测井资料及野外剖面,总结了生物礁的形成与演化模式及模式各部位所对应的岩性和物性。通过地震响应特征、反演等技术建立了长兴组储层识别模式,利用对应速度、Landmark属性提取的储层有效厚度经计算机网格化编制出了长兴组储层厚度分布预测图,与钻测井厚度对比,证实板东4井生物礁为点礁。  相似文献

Submarine channel deposits are recognised as the primary heterogeneity within the turbidite systems that host them, with channel fill heterogeneities being considered secondary. An investigation of channel fill heterogeneities was conducted on Oligocene turbidites of the Grès du Champsaur, Hautes Alpes, SE France, which was deposited in a sub-basin within the Alpine peripheral foreland basin. Here, a series of erosional channels are exposed in mountainous terrain. Maximum channel widths are in the order of 1000 m, and depths of the order of 100 m. The channels can be traced along axis for at least 6 km. Mapping of channel facies revealed three orientations of fill heterogeneity expressed as: (1) upward variations in the character of vertically stacked fill sequences, (2) lateral variability, and (3) the occurrence of downstream dipping and stacking units forming the uppermost parts of channel fill. Vertically expressed heterogeneities are thought to have developed via the gradual reduction in the efficiency of channelised flow, leading to a progressive reduction in scour and the deposition of overall thinning and fining upwards sequences. Lateral heterogeneity is related to the development of downstream-oriented elongated scour and fill facies. Downstream-dipping heterogeneity is represented by a series of several metre-scale downstream-dipping low-angle clinoforms thought to be related to final infill of the negative channel bathymetry by a migrating front of sand that would have formed part of a downstream-migrating sheet to channel transition in plan view. Both first and second orders of channel heterogeneity may control the reservoir performance of channel prone turbidite sequences. Preferred-orientation channel facies heterogeneities are thought to affect potential hydrocarbon recovery through their impact on permeability anisotropy within the confines of the channel.  相似文献

Modified Moving Particle method in Porous media (MMPP) is introduced in this study for simulating a flow interaction with porous structures. By making use of the sub-particle scale (SPS) turbulence model, a unified set of equations are introduced for the entire computational domain and a proper boundary treatment is suggested at the interfaces between fluid and the porous media. Similar to the Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamic (ISPH) method, a robust two-step semi-implicit scheme is utilized to satisfy the incompressibility criterion. By means of the introduced model, different flow regimes through multi-layered porous structures with arbitrary shapes can be simulated and there is no need to implement calibration factors.The developed MMPP model is then validated via simulating the experiments of Liu et al. (1999) i.e. linear and turbulent flows through porous dams and the experiments of Sakakiyama and Liu (2001) i.e. wave overtopping on a caisson breakwater protected by multi layered porous materials. Good agreements between numerical and laboratory data present the ability of the introduced model in simulating various flow regimes through multi-layered porous structures. It is concluded that the turbulent flow is an important issue particularly at the interface between the free fluid and porous media and consequently, the accuracy of the previous Lagrangian models that were based on neglecting the turbulence effect can be improved significantly by means of the present model. In addition, to satisfy the continuity criteria in the SPH models, it is necessary to modify density of particles in accordance with their porosity.  相似文献

低渗透油藏储层物性较差,通常油层在酸化压裂等工艺技术措施下,才可产出工业油流,对低渗透油藏有效储层进行测井解释较为困难。从冷家堡油田冷46区块的油藏特征出发,建立了一套有效厚度下限标准研究方法。为检测油层有效厚度划分精度,在取心井中选取5口井进行岩心厚度与测井厚度对比,层划准率达100%。并据此标准划分39口单井有效厚度,有效地保证油层射孔,为注水开发提供可靠的依据。  相似文献

地质建模是油田开发的基础性工作,由于滩海油田特殊的地理位置条件,造成钻井少,各种资料获取、采集难度大,给处于开发初期的油田带来了较大挑战。以大港滩海关家堡开发区为例,提出在前期地质概念模型的指导下,多学科综合,应用随机模拟理论,采用储层约束反演与地质建模相结合,建立储层岩性模型,并在岩性模型的控制下实现储层参数建模,通过三维地质模型的建立,提取出沿设计井轨迹方向的预测曲线成果,指导复杂结构井的钻探,利用该建模思路与成果,大大降低了井间储层预测的不确定性与开发风险,现场实施效果显著,其建模方法对于类似滩海稀井网开发提供了很好的借鉴。  相似文献

A comprehensive numerical study on the three-dimensional structure of a turbulent jet in crossflow is performed. Thejet-to-crossflow velocity ratio (R) varies in the range of 2 ~ 16; both vertical jets and inclined jets without excess streamwisemomentum are considered. The numerical results of the standard two-equation k-~ model show that the turbulent structurecan be broadly categorised according to the jet-to-crossflow velocity ratio. For strong to moderate jet discharges, i.e. R >4, the jet is characterized by a longitudinal transition through a bent-over phase during which the jet becomes almost parallelwith the main freestream, to a sectional vortex-pair flow with double concentration maxima; the computed flow details andscalar mixing characteristics can be described by self-similar relations beyond a dimensionless distance of around 20 ~ 60.The similarity coefficients are only weakly dependent on R. The cross-section scalar field is kidney-shaped and bifurcated,with distinct double concentration maxima; the aspect ratio is found to be around 1.2. A loss in vertical momentum is ob-served and the added mass coefficient of the jet motion is found to be approximately 1. On the other hand, for weak jets instrong crossflow, i.e. R≤ 2, the lee of the jet is characterized by a negative pressure region. Although the double vortexflow can still be noted, the scalar field becomes more symmetrical and no longer bifurcated. The similarity coeffcients are al-so noticeably different. Sedimentary heterogeneities are ubiquitous in nature and occur over a range of scales from core, reservoir to basin scales. They may thus exert significant influences on hydrocarbon generation, migration and accumulation. The sedimentary heterogeneities of the Permian Shanxi Formation in the Ordos Basin, China were modelled using Sedsim, a stratigraphic forward modelling program. The simulation results were then used to construct a 3D petroleum system model using PetroMod. The effects of sedimentary heterogeneities on hydrocarbon accumulations were evaluated by comparing the integrated Sedsim-PetroMod model with the classic 3D basin model. The Sedsim simulation shows that considerable sedimentary heterogeneities are present within the Shanxi Formation, as a result of the interplay of the initial topography, tectonic subsidence, base level change and sediment inputs. A variety of lithologies were developed both laterally and vertically within the Shanxi Formation at kilometre and metre scales, respectively, with mudstones mainly developed in the depositional centre, while sandstones developed in the southern and northern margin areas. A typical source-ward retrogradation is well developed within the Lower Shanxi Formation.A base-case classic 3D basin model was constructed to quantify the Permian petroleum system in the Ordos Basin. The geological and thermal models were calibrated using Vr and borehole temperature data. The source rocks of the Upper Paleozoic became mature (Ro > 0.5%) and high mature (Ro > 1.2%) in the late Triassic and late Jurassic, respectively, in the central and southern areas. During the Early Cretaceous, a tectonically induced geothermal event occurred in the southern Ordos Basin. This caused the source rocks to reach over maturity (Ro > 2.0%) quite rapidly in the early Late Cretaceous in the central and southern areas. All the source rock transformation ratios (TR) at present are greater than 70% in the P1 coal and P1 mudstone layers with TR values approaching 100% in the central and southern areas. The transformation ratios of the P1 limestone are close to 100% over the entire interval.In the base-case model, a large amount of hydrocarbons appear to have been expelled and migrated into the Shanxi Formation, but only a minor amount was accumulated to form reservoirs. In the model, the Shanxi Formation sandstone layer was set to be homogeneous vertically and there was no regional seal rocks present at the top of the Shanxi Formation. Therefore hydrocarbons could not be trapped effectively with only minor accumulations in some local structural highs where hydrocarbons are trapped both at the top and in the up-dip direction by the adjacent mudstone facies. In contrast, the integrated Sedsim-PetroMod model takes into account of the internal lithological and sedimentary facies heterogeneities within the Shanxi Formation, forming complex contiguous sandstone-mudstone stacking patterns. Hydrocarbons were found to have accumulated in multiple intervals of lithological traps within the Shanxi Formation. The results indicate that lithological distinctions, controlled by sedimentary heterogeneities in three dimensions can provide effective sealing in both the top and up-dip directions for hydrocarbon accumulations, with gas being mainly accumulated near the depocentre where lithological traps usually formed due to frequent oscillations of the lake level.  相似文献

This work addresses the experimental and numerical study of a stepped planing hull and the related fluid dynamics phenomena typically occurring in the stepped hull in the unwetted aft body area behind the step. In the last few years, the interest in high-speed planing crafts, with low weight-to-power ratios, has been increasing significantly, and, in such context, naval architects have been orienting toward the stepped hull solution. Stepped planing hulls ensure good dynamic stability and seakeeping qualities at high speeds. This is mainly due to the reduction of the wetted area, which is caused by the flow separation occurring at the step. This paper presents the experimental results of towing tank tests in calm water on a single-step hull model, which is the first model of a new systematic series. The same flow conditions are analyzed via Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) and Large Eddy Simulations (LES), with different moving mesh techniques (overset/chimera and morphing grid), performed at different model speeds. The numerical results are in accordance with experimental data, and overset/chimera grid is found to be the best approach between the analyzed ones. The flow patterns obtained numerically through LES on a refined grid appear similar to the ones observed in towing tank investigations through photographic acquisitions. These flow patterns are dominated by a rather complex 3D arrangement of vortices originating from air spillage at both sides of the step. The understanding of these phenomena is important for the effectiveness of stepped hull designs.  相似文献

By integrating diagenesis and sequence stratigraphy, the distribution of diagenetic alterations and their impact on reservoir quality was investigated within a sequence stratigraphic framework using the fluvial and shallow marine sandstones in the Cambrian-Ordovician succession of southwest Sinai. The perographic and geochemical analysis of the studied sandstone revealed that the eogenetic alterations display fairly systematic spatial and temporal distribution patterns within the lowstand system tract and transgressive system tract, as well as along the sequence stratigraphic surfaces (i.e., sequence boundaries, transgressive surfaces and parasequence boundaries). During relative sea-level fall, percolation of meteoric waters through sandstones of the LST and below sequence and parasequence boundaries resulted in extensive dissolution of detrital grains and formation of kaolinite, authigenic K-feldspar and feldspar overgrowths as well as formation of mechanical infiltrated clays around the detrital grains. During relative sea-level rise, invasion of marine water into the sandstones as a consequence of landward migration of the shoreline, as well as low sedimentation rates encountered in the TST, resulted in the formation of glauconite, apatite and pyrite. Development of pseudomatrix, which was formed by mechanical compaction of mud intraclasts, is mostly abundant along transgressive surfaces and parasequence boundaries of the TST, and is related to the abundance of mud intraclasts in the transgressive lag deposits.The types and extent of eogenetic alterations have an important impact on the distribution of the mesogenetic alterations, including the formation of quartz overgrowths and dickite.Distribution of mesogenetic quartz overgrowths in the sandstones was controlled by the distribution of mechanically infiltrated clays and the presence of eogenetic cement. Sandstones that remained poorly cemented during eodiagenesis and that have thin or discontinuous infiltrated clay rims around the detrital grains were cemented during mesodiagenesis by quartz. The absence of extensive eogenetic cements in the sandstones suggested that the partial deterioration of porosity was mainly due to mechanical compaction. Partial transformation of kaolinite to dickite, which indicates neomorphic change to a better-ordered and more stable crystal structure at the elevated temperatures during mesodiagenesis, is partially a function of distribution of kaolinite during eodiagenesis.The conceptual model developed in this study shows the diagenetic evolutionary pathways in the reservoir sandstones within a sequence stratigraphic context, which in turn provides some insights into the controls on reservoir heterogeneity.  相似文献
