 Water resources near a gold-mine waste site were studied for the distribution and contents of contaminants, and their behavior in the surface and groundwater systems. Arsenic, cadmium, and manganese were identified with levels exceeding the drinking water guidelines of WHO (World Health Organization), and their distribution depended upon the differences in source materials and in spatial pH variations. Originating from arsenopyrite, concentrations of dissolved arsenic were controlled by sorption with amorphous iron (Fe(OH)3) and carbonate minerals. Cadmium and manganese were derived from the mineral phase including sphalerite (ZnS), otavite (CdCO3), and rhodochrosite (MnCO3); their concentrations in water resources were limited by the solubility of mineral phases. All of these processes are significantly pH-dependent, implying that a small decline in pH could result in a drastic increase in contaminant concentrations and become a pollution threat to the water resources of the Gubong area. Review on Researches of Legacy POPs and Emerging POPs in the Arctic Regions   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The specific geographic location and natural conditions of the Arctic region play a significant role in the global climate change. As a result of perennial low temperature, simple ecological structure, and fragile ecosystem and weak stability in the Arctic, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) accumulating from the region of middle and low latitudes may cause tremendous pressure in the arctic ecological environment. Therefore, the research of POPs in the Arctic region is not only conducive to more in-depth understanding of POPs distribution and transformation process in the global range, but to reasonably assess the harm of human activities on the arctic ecological environment. Thus, in the past 40 years, especially after nine new kinds of emerging organic contaminants being added to the list of Stockholm Convention in 2009, more and more scientific community and general public have pay attention to the research of POPs in the Arctic region. At present, the understanding of legacy POPs in the Arctic is limited, and the research of emerging POPs is in the initial stage. This paper aimed to summarize some conclusions and implications of the research, and focused on the occurrence level, historical evolution, bioaccumulation and source of POPs in atmosphere, waters, sediments and organisms in the Arctic region. Finally, the future changes and key scientific problems of POPs in the Arctic region were proposed.  相似文献

Studies by the US Geological Survey (USGS) of uranium mill tailings (UMT) have focused on characterizing the forms in which radionuclides are retained and identifying factors influencing the release of radionuclides to air and water. Selective extraction studies and studies of radionuclide sorption by and leaching from components of UMT showed alkaline earth sulfate and hydrous ferric oxides to be important hosts of radium-226 (226Ra) in UMT. Extrapolating from studies of barite dissolution in anerobic lake sediments, the leaching of226Ra from UMT by sulfate-reducing bacteria was investigated; a marked increase in226Ra release to aqueous solution as compared to sterile controls was demonstrated. A similar action of iron(III)-reducing bacteria was later shown. Ion exchangers such as clay minerals can also promote the dissolution of host-phase minerals and thereby influence the fate of radionuclides such as226Ra. Radon release studies examined particle size and ore composition as variables. Aggregation of UMT particles was shown to mask the higher emanating fraction of finer particles. Studies of various ores and ore components showed that UMT cannot be assumed to have the same radon-release characteristics as their precursor ores, nor can226Ra retained by various substrates be assumed to emanate the same fraction of radon. Over the last decade, USGS research directed at offsite mobility of radionuclides from uranium mining and milling processes has focused on six areas: the Midnite Mine in Washington; Ralston Creek and Reservoir, Colorado; sites near Canon City, Colorado; the Monument Valley District of Arizona and Utah; the Cameron District of Arizona; and the Puerco River basin of Arizona and New Mexico.  相似文献

In China, coal mining wastes have traditionally been dumped in cone-shaped heaps that have the potential to pollute air, soil and water environments and landscapes through dust generation, leachate production, self-ignition and as a consequence of an absence of vegetation cover. Since 1980s, the disposal technique for coal mining wastes has been changing and in many instances the wastes are now transported directly to subsided land as a fill to enable the reuse of that land. Thus, today, both coal mining waste dumps from the past and filled subsided lands are in existence. However, the comparative impacts of these different disposal techniques on the environment and farmland productivity have not been studied in detail. Using Dongtan (DT), Nantun (NT) and Xinglongzhuang (XLZ) coal mines as examples, the components of coal mining wastes and their potential pollution contribution to soil, surface water and ground water are tested in-situ. The results show that contaminants are released after self-ignition and weathering of coal mining wastes, but they are not above the allowable environmental standards. However, despite these findings, more and closer attention needs to be paid to the mobility, transportation and accumulation of these contaminants in the environment over time.  相似文献

煤田火烧区的存在,给勘探、建井、开矿均带来一定的危害。本文重点论述新疆煤田火烧区的特征,煤田火烧区的危害和煤田火烧区的主要形成因素,经过各种勘探方法的对比,选用地面物探方法(磁法和自然电场法)查清了煤层火烧区的分布范围和煤层地下燃烧状态。物探成果资料经钻孔验证技术效果良好,根据煤层高温燃烧区定期观测剖面测定结果,对新疆煤田火烧区储量的损失作了科学的推算。对煤田高温燃烧区灭火方法作了简要说明,并对灭火效果提出了一定见解。对灭火工程的验收程序提出了合理化建议。  相似文献

碱渣与饱和卤水混合制成浆体回填到盐矿废弃盐腔可同时解决碱渣处理问题和地下废弃盐腔存在的地质隐患。回填碱渣强度是影响充填效果的重要因素。因此,为了提高回填碱渣强度,采用掺入粉煤灰制成复合碱渣对其强度特性进行改良。针对不同粉煤灰掺合比的碱渣开展了组成、力学和细观试验。研究结果表明:(1)掺入粉煤灰能明显改善碱渣的强度,使其黏聚力、内摩擦角都大幅提高,抗剪强度大幅增加;(2)粉煤灰掺合比越大,增强效果越明显,但强度并非随掺合比呈线性变化,对黏聚力而言,在0~20%内的掺合比下增加速度最快,而对内摩擦角则在20%~30%的掺合比区间增加最快,对抗剪强度而言,0~20%的掺合比内增加最明显;(3)粉煤灰掺入还可显著改善碱渣的压缩固结特性,使其固结系数大幅提高,从而提高碱渣固结速度,缩短充填工期,其中在0~10%的掺合比内对压缩固结特性改善最显著;(4)矿物组成分析表明,粉煤灰掺入改变了矿物组成,使得亲水性矿物含量急剧锐减,进而改变了其沉积特性。而细观分析则表明,粉煤灰掺入使碱渣从絮凝团细观结构变成了粉煤灰充当骨架的充填结构,且粒间支撑和拉联效应明显。从增强效果提高、压缩固结特性增强、控制成本和工期综合分析表明,最优掺合比为20%左右,建议工程中以不高于20%的掺合比作为实用掺合比即可取得较为理想的充填增强效果。该研究为揭示碱渣增强机制及废弃盐腔碱渣充填工艺优化提供了有益参考。  相似文献

垃圾土变形中有机物降解是一个非常重要的因素,又是很复杂的过程。进行了温度与湿度小范围波动、无压力、持水率条件下有机物降解的质量跟踪试验和垃圾土柱沉降试验,且在质量跟踪试验中还进行了淋滤液产生量的同步测定,分析了有机物降解的质量变化、质量变化速率的规律,初步明确了有机物降解的规律性结论。在质量跟踪试验的基础上,初步提出了有机物降解随时间变化规律的数学表达和3个基本计算参数的确定方法,计算结果与试验结果比较接近。用质量跟踪试验的研究结果对垃圾土柱试验进行了计算模拟,分别计算和分析了次压缩和有机物降解沉降随时间变化的过程。计算结果表明,在总的长期沉降中有机物降解引起的沉降比次压缩影响要大,考虑有机物降解和次压缩的计算结果与试验结果吻合较好。  相似文献

为了适应环保部门提出的更高的环保要求,减少因焚烧垃圾产生的CO2含量,从而达到节能减排的目标,在大量实验和计算研究的基础上,提出了采用馏化法处理垃圾的新工艺。馏化法主要是垃圾中的炭质不参加燃烧,不产生CO2和CO,不破坏空气中的主要成分,做到无害生产。馏化法处理垃圾的设备由喷淋系统及滚动筛、不锈钢输送带、隧道式烘干炉及馏化炉、烘干焦化炉、粉碎机、液压成型机等组成。主要的配套工艺有垃圾干馏炭化制砖工艺和垃圾三角条幅填海工程工艺。该馏化法处理垃圾解决了减少CO2排放问题,而炭渣填海方法做到零污染、全利用效果,具有客观的经济效益。  相似文献

针对淤泥堆场利用淤泥固化技术制作的人工硬壳层(MMC)地基的极限承载力问题,利用模型试验研究了人工硬壳层的无侧限抗压强度、厚度以及淤泥的不排水强度对这种人工硬壳层地基极限承载力的影响规律。结果表明,淤泥上覆人工硬壳层地基的极限承载力随人工硬壳层的无侧限抗压强度的增加呈指数增加的趋势,随硬壳层厚度的增加呈现出线性增加的趋势。  相似文献

宁强县中坝外围预查区岩心钻探ZK1102钻孔地层裂隙发育,钻孔漏失严重。由于送浆时间不足,冲洗液未到达孔底即开始钻进,导致钻孔发生严重烧钻事故。烧钻事故发生后,通过尝试传统起拔、旋转等方法均无效后,结合便携式全液压钻机装备特点和地层条件现状,在能够确保找矿成果和事故处理的安全性、经济性以及可靠性的前提下,进行科学分析研判,甄选出了最佳事故处理方案,即利用BTW钻杆连接水力割刀切割事故段钻具,而后下入NTW钻具连接磨铣钻头研磨剩余钻具钻头,高效、经济、稳妥地解决了烧钻事故。在水力割刀实际应用中,分析总结了在不同操作顺序和切割参数下切割失败的原因,为施工人员积累了丰富的经验,为烧钻事故顺利处理打下了坚实的技术基础。本文对利用水力割刀处理岩心钻探烧钻事故进行了积极探索,为其他地区使用水力割刀处理类似复杂钻孔事故提供了参考。  相似文献

If a mine waste pile is left open, an active chemical reaction of oxidation is often found due to the commonly high content of pyritic materials. The oxidation of pyrites is an exothermic process and the released heat will promote the flow of fresh oxygen from the surrounding atmosphere into the waste dump. As a result, oxidation reaction will accelerate and temperature within the dump can increase to as high as 60°C above the ambient temperature. The oxidation process also releases sulphuric acid and hydrogen ions into ground water to cause water contamination. Low‐permeability covers such as clay liners have been recently proposed to abate the oxidation process in mine wastes. The effectiveness of using low‐permeability materials to cover mine wastes in order to suppress the pyrite oxidation is examined. By conducting the theoretical analysis of the onset of convective air flow within waste rocks, the conditions under which soil gas flow is significant are identified. By comparing the results with previous field measurements and theoretical analysis for the uncovered conditions, it is shown that low‐permeability covers can effectively suppress soil gas flow and slow down the pyrite oxidation process in mine wastes. 炼锌固体废渣中重金属(Pb、Zn)的存在状态及环境影响   总被引:19,自引:1,他引:19  
利用XRD、TEM/EDS和连续提取实验研究了土法炼锌固体废渣中重金属的矿物学特征及不同粒度中重金属的相态分布特征。与通常发现的重金属一般富集在小粒径废渣中的情况不同,本工作所研究的废渣样品中大粒径废渣与细粒径废渣相似,甚至有更高的金属含量。化学形态研究表明,冶炼过程形成的矿物(或玻璃质)集合体和堆积后的风化过程形成的次生矿物是废渣中重金属存在的主要化学相。同时发现Pb的残渣态很少(0.39%~15.75%),而Zn的残渣态较高(14.3%~46.2%),这可能与冶炼工艺所形成较多Zn的硅酸盐矿物有关。尽管可交换态Pb、Zn在不同相态中的相对比例非常小(Pb0.03%~1.30%;Zn0.03%~3.30%),但其绝对含量却比一般土壤或沉积物要高(Pb1.5~385μg/g;Zn3~590μg/g)。由于重金属可交换态有比其他化学相态更高的活动性和生物可利用性,因此,对环境有较大的潜在影响。废渣样品的微束分析表明,Pb在废渣中见有金属Pb存在形式或呈纳米金属Pb颗粒包裹于其他矿物或铁合金及熔球集合体中。同时不排除有Pb的碳酸盐矿物存在的可能。而以硅锌矿Zn2(SiO4)、锰硅锌矿(Zn,Mn)2犤SiO4犦和纤维状的丝锌铝石Zn8Al4犤(OH)8(SiO4)5犦·7H2O等矿物形式存在以及Fe、Mn等的铝硅酸盐形式存在的Zn,可能是导致Zn的残渣态较高的原因。与连续提  相似文献

The distribution and speciation of gold and platinum in ash-cinder wastes of the thermal power plants of Khabarovsk krai and Primorye are considered in terms of the research methods and the results obtained. The Au and PGE contents attain 2 g/t and higher, being 0.8–1.5 g/t on average. The ash of brown coal from the Pavlovka, Khurmuli, and some other fields is characterized by elevated PGE contents. The causes of discrepancies in the analytical determination of noble metals in coaly and carbonaceous rocks are considered. Accumulation of noble metals in coal is caused largely by their sorption on carbonaceous matter. The content of noble metals in ash-cinder wastes depends on their grade in the burnt coal. The latter, in turn, depends on the metallogenic characteristics of the coalfield. Gold and platinum are of economic importance, and a special technology for their recovery should to be worked out.  相似文献

 The Site Characterization and Analysis Penetrometer System (SCAPS) was used to investigate subsurface petroleum contamination at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The SCAPS is a rapid site-screening tool developed by the Tri-Services (U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force) to reduce the cost of installation restoration activities. The system, consisting of a geophysical cone penetrometer fitted with a laser-induced fluorescence petroleum sensor, is capable of simultaneous, real-time delineation of subsurface stratigraphy and petroleum contamination. Onsite processing of the SCAPS data allows three-dimensional visualization of both subsurface stratigraphy and petroleum contaminant distribution. The site investigation described herein successfully identified three distinct areas of subsurface petroleum contamination caused by leaking underground storage tanks containing No. 2 healing oil. The SCAPS petroleum sensor response was verified by obtaining 20 soil samples and performing onsite and conventional laboratory analyses for petroleum contaminants. Verification sample results indicate a strong correlation between the SCAPS fluorescence data and conventional measures of petroleum contamination. 深切河谷区开放型岩溶地下水系统中水文地质条件复杂、生态环境脆弱,地下找水难度大。本文以贵州息烽养龙司地区乌江深切峡谷的斜坡地带地下水系统为研究场,以岩溶地质学、水文地质学、生态环境学和工程统计学等为指导,以地质调查、地球物理勘探和钻探为手段进行资料和数据的采集,总结了该类岩溶地下水系统中岩溶发育和地下水赋存的基本特征,揭示了流域内生态环境脆弱的本质,以及找水成井率低下的原因,提出了岩溶水合理开发利用的方向。  相似文献

X92井是胜利油田在某地区布置的一口预探井。为节约投资,二开睨15.90mm井眼段采用长裸眼钻井施工,裸眼长度达3771m。该井地质条件复杂,除具有一般长裸眼井钻进的难度外,还具有多压力层系并存并且对地层压力系数不明确等难点,如果处理不好容易造成钻井事故。通过合理的控制钻井液性能,再加上钻井液维护和处理等配套技术,较好地解决了该井技术难题,形成了一套适合该井的优快钻井技术及施工措施。该井的顺利完成,为以后在该地区进行长裸眼钻井优化设计及施工提供了相关经验。  相似文献

矿山正常的生产经营活动势必形成一定的矿山地质环境问题。为全面贯彻生态文明思想,牢固树立“绿水青山就是金山银山”的理念,按照恢复生态、兼顾景观总体要求,因地制宜、多措并举,扎实开展废弃露天矿山地质环境修复。依据矿山地质环境保护与恢复的相关规范与要求,以汶川某废弃露天矿山为例,从矿山环境角度介绍了矿山地质环境的影响因素,开展矿山斜坡整体稳定性、采场边坡稳定性、弃渣堆稳定性及地形地貌景观破坏等地质环境影响评价,划分治理重点、次重点和一般3个基本的矿山地质环境保护与恢复防治区。结果表明: 矿山斜坡及弃渣堆现状基本稳定、采场边坡稳定性较差、地形地貌景观影响和破坏程度中等; 研究区矿山地质环境保护与恢复治理可划分为一般防治区和较严重防治区,其中一般防治区面积约554 m2(矿区无因采矿活动诱发的地质灾害,影响区内无居民居住,无威胁对象,矿区及周围地表水体未漏失,矿业活动对水土环境影响程度为影响程度小,未影响到矿区及周围生活供水)、较严重防治区面积186 m2(矿区与影响区地质灾害发生可能性小,地形地貌景观影响和破坏程度较严重)。针对评价结果提出的“坡面浮石清理+清除建筑垃圾、块石+植被重建”等修复建议,为同类型矿山绿色开采及地质环境保护措施提供了的重要技术参考依据。  相似文献

当前土壤中硫元素的测定方法主要是X射线荧光光谱法和燃烧法,上述两种方法分析速度慢,对高、低含量样品的分析精度较差,难以满足大批量样品快速、准确分析的要求。为提高分析速度和结果的准确度,本文建立了用盐酸-硝酸-氢氟酸-高氯酸(四酸)溶解土壤样品,电感耦合离子体发射光谱法测定硫的方法。通过考察王水消解、王水水浴消解和四酸消解的溶样效果,测定结果表明采用四酸能更好地溶解土壤样品中的硫。方法检出限为10μg/g,测量范围为33.3~50000μg/g,相对标准偏差为0.47%~4.05%。本方法简单快速,准确度高,已经过数千件实际样品验证,在不增加分析成本的情况下,一份溶液还可以同时测定钾钠钙镁铁锰铍锂镧铈钪钒钴镍钛等元素,适合在地质行业推广应用。  相似文献

 Wastes from the sulfuric acid industry are an environmental concern, because of the emission of acids, heavy metals, and sulfate to the environment. The wastes in Falun consist of 70–80% iron oxides, 10–20% silicates, less than 10% residual sulfides, and small amounts of secondary precipitates (iron hydroxides and Fe-, Zn- and Cu-sulfates). Due to the different behavior of sulfides during the roasting process, pyrrhotite and sphalerite are the major sulfide residues associated with lesser amounts of pyrite, chalcopyrite, and galena. The leachates are low-pH and enriched in Zn, Fe, and SO4. The acid ferric Fe-rich solution promotes the dissolution of sphalerite and favors the formation of Pb-sulfate coatings on galena, providing an armoring effect which slows down the further oxidation of the galena. The residual sulfides are the potential source for acid generation and metal release. During the roasting process, iron oxides retain small amounts of sulfur and sphalerite forms alteration rims containing Zn-oxides. The iron oxides and Zn-oxides are important contributors to SO4 and Zn in the leachates. The conditions in the waste deposit are favorable for the precipitation of Zn-, Cu-Fe-sulfates (e.g. gunningite, chalcanthite, Zn-copiapite). The highly soluble sulfates play important roles in controlling the concentrations of Cd, Cu, Fe, Zn, and SO4 in the leachates.
