In this paper, we developed a specialized method to locate small aftershocks using a small-aperture temporary seismic array.
The array location technique uses the first P arrival times to determine the horizontal slowness vector of the incoming P wave, then combines it with S–P times to determine the event location. In order to reduce the influence of lateral velocity variation on the location determinations,
we generated slowness corrections using events well-located by the permanent broadband network as calibration events, then
we applied the corrections to the estimated slownesses. Applications of slowness corrections significantly improved event
locations. This method can be a useful tool to locate events recorded by temporary fault-zone arrays in the near field but
unlocated by the regional permanent seismic network. As a test, we first applied this method to 64 well-located aftershocks
of the 1992 Landers, California, earthquake, recorded by both the Caltech/USGS Southern California Seismic Network and a small-aperture,
temporary seismic array. The average horizontal and vertical separations between our locations and the well-determined catalogue
locations are 1.35 and 1.75 km, respectively. We then applied this method to 132 unlocated aftershocks recorded only by the
temporary seismic array. The locations show a clear tendency to follow the surface traces of the mainshock rupture. 相似文献

Repeating airgun sources are eco-friendly sources for monitoring the changes in the physical properties of subsurface mediums, but their signals decay quickly and are buried in the noises soon after traveling short distances. Stacking waveforms from different airgun shots recorded by a single seismic station (shot stacking) is the most popular technique to detect weak signals from noisy backgrounds, and has been widely used to process the data of Fixed Airgun Signal Transmission Stations (FASTS) in China. However, shot stacking sacrifices the time resolution in monitoring to recover a qualified airgun signal by stacking many shots at distance stations, and also suffers from persistent local noises. In this paper, we carried out several small-aperture seismic array experiments around the Binchuan FAST Station (BCFASTS) in Yunnan Province,China, and applied the array technique to improve airgun signal detection. The results show that seismic array processing combining with shot stacking can suppress seismic noises more efficiently, and provide better signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and coherent airgun signals with less airgun shots. This work suggests that the array technique is a feasible and promising tool in FAST to increase the time resolution and reduce noise interference on routine monitoring. 相似文献

作为"一带一路"地震台网项目的子项目,鹤岗地震台阵区域位置特殊,在地震监测中担负着重要使命。2019年,黑龙江省地震局采用Reftek-130B地震数据采集器和CMG-3T宽频带地震计,完成台阵前期勘选工作,连续波形记录时间30天以上,波形记录质量良好。利用该台阵已勘选的15个点位连续波形记录,估计各点位功率谱,通过绘制概率密度函数图和单频曲线,初步分析该地区背景噪声变化特征。分析结果表明,各勘选点位的噪声功率谱密度相对稳定,部分点位受人类活动影响,在10 Hz以上存在突变,3-5、3-6、4-4子台高频变化较为明显,勘选点位的背景噪声变化特征可为今后的地震台阵建设提供依据。 相似文献

Seismic data recorded in the upper mantle triplication distance range between 10° and 30° are generated by wave propagation through complex upper mantle structure. They can be used to place constraints on seismic velocity structures in the upper mantle, key seismic features near the major discontinuities, and anisotropic structure varying with depth. In this paper, we review wave propagation of the upper mantle triplicated phases, how different key seismic features can be studied using upper mantle triplicated data, and the importance of those seismic features to the understanding of mantle temperature and composition. We present two examples of using array triplicated phases to constrain upper mantle velocity structures and detailed features of a certain discontinuity, with one for a shallow event and the other for deep events. For the shallow event, we present examples of how the array triplication data can be used to constrain several key properties of the upper mantle: existence of a lithospheric lid, existence of a low velocity zone beneath the lithospheric lid, and P/S velocity ratio as a function of depth. For deep events, we show examples of how array triplication data can be used to constrain the detailed structures of a certain discontinuity: velocity gradients above and below the discontinuity, velocity jumps across the discontinuity and depth extents of different velocity gradients. We discuss challenges of the upper mantle triplication study, its connection to other approaches, and its potential for further studying some other important features of the mantle: the existence of double 660-km discontinuities, existence of low-velocity channels near major discontinuities and anisotropy varying with depth. 相似文献

为了研究土-结构相互作用对高层建筑地震响应数值模拟的影响.选择一栋具有地震观测记录的高层建筑(结构台阵)作为研究对象.利用Abaqus有限元软件和2009年姚安地震加速度记录,并假定了水平成层和有倾角成层的2种土介质模型.进行土-结构动力反应分析。结果表明:有倾角成层土-桩-结构相互作用模型的计算结果与观测资料相比有明显的放大现象,在NS方向体现的更加明显。这说明,就高层建筑的抗震分析而言,土介质模型对计算结果影响很大,在进行地震作用下土-结构地震响应分析时.土层模型应尽可能与真实土层相符。否则其计算结果会产生较大误差。 相似文献

—Since 1994 Noranda’s Brunswick #12 Mine has complemented their MP250/Queen’s Full Waveform seismic systems with an ISS (Integrated Seismic System). Time histories of ISS source parameter information form a component of the daily ground control decision-making. This paper discusses a methodology for microseismic hazard assessment, which filters ISS data using energy, apparent stress and seismic moment criteria to identify those events that are relevant for the assessment and decision-making process. Seismic events are classified into four groups (1) no or minor hazard; (2) seismically-triggered, gravity-driven hazards; (3) stress-adjustment-driven hazards resulting in bulking due to rock mass fracturing; and (4) deformation-driven hazards exploiting existing rock mass damage. Three case histories from 1994–1996, for the 1000 Level South and the 850 Level at Brunswick Mine, are analyzed using this technique to calibrate and verify the proposed methodology. 相似文献

随着油气勘探观测环境愈发复杂,采集的地震数据常常掺杂各种噪声信号,导致勘探目标引起的有效微弱信号被覆盖,严重影响高精度的地震勘探数据解译,因而有效的压制地震勘探数据噪声显得越发重要。本文采用字典学习策略,将复杂地震数据进行分块,通过分块数据的字典学习获取字典原子,构建高精度的字典学习地震数据稀疏表示,通过两次迭代更新字典原子,进行数据去噪。将本文的字典学习算法应用于含随机噪声的模拟数据和实测地震勘探数据处理,验证该算法的可行性及有效性。结果表明,本文算法有效去除了随机噪声,保留了有效信号同相轴,提高了信噪比,可为复杂含噪地震数据的去噪处理提供新的技术手段。 相似文献

南北地震带南段大震活动频繁。已有的研究结果表明,大震近场范围场点的地震危险性与地震破裂面产状及其尺度密切相关。因此,在南北地震带南段需要考虑潜在震源三维特征进行地震危险性分析和地震区划研究。本文在充分搜集大震发震构造资料的基础上,在南北地震带南段构建了考虑震源尺度和产状的潜在震源模型,改进了地震危险性概率分析方法,进而对该地区进行地震区划研究。结果表明,考虑潜在震源三维特征的地震危险性分析结果可以有效地反映南北地震带南段发震构造的产状和尺寸特征,提高地震区划结果的合理性。 相似文献

电离层扰动变化可以作为地震的短临前兆,为提升电离层扰动数据分析准确性,剔除异常数据,提出了基于DBSCAN的地震电离层扰动异常数据检测方法。首先利用DBSCAN方法的中心思想,分析电离层扰动数据,结合无线传感器网络数据的特点,将欧式距离设定为指标,对比不同电离层扰动数据并进行划分聚类,然后计算地震电离层扰动数据相似度。再利用DBSCAN方法提取相关的环境特征集,通过特征集实现地震电离层扰动异常数据检测。最后实验分析与传统方法相比,运行时间、误报率、漏报率以及检测率的对比结果。结果表明:所提方法的所需时间短,误报率和漏报率明显降低,检测率大大提高。 相似文献
