Summary The interpretation of surface seismic waves records is rather complicated as they include a superposition of oscillations of the fundamental mode and higher modes. Besides recorded oscillations depend on spectral characteristics of motions in earthquakes sources. The consideration of these problems is based on results of surface waves two-dimensional modelling [1]3. Some physical ideas about their formation deals with the change of the nature of the oscillation propagating with dispersion. Summary The phase velocity dispersion of Rayleigh waves for the Moxa-Vienna (MOX-VIE) and Moxa-Kaperské Hory (MOX-KHC) profiles, and of both Rayleigh and Love waves for the Kaperské Hory-Ksi (KHC-KSP) profile have been measured and inverted into models of shearwave velocity vs. depth. The three paths cross, respectively, the central part of the Bohemian Massif, its western margin, and the Bohemian Pluton and Cretaceous. For the MOX-VIE profile mean and lower crustal shear wave velocities of 3.7 and 3.9 km/s, respectively, a mean Moho depth of 34 km, and no existence of a low-velocity layer in the lower crust were found. The model obtained for the MOX-KHC profile is characterized by a slightly lower velocity in the lower crust (3.8 km/s), by a slightly lower Moho depth (32 km), and by the appearance of a weak low-velocity channel between 55 and 140 km. The crustal section of the final model for the KHC-KSP profile agrees well with the KHKS82 model derived by Novotný from results of DSS along international profile VII. Our final Rayleigh-wave model has significantly lower shear-wave velocities down to 215 km in the mantle. A systematic difference of 0.18 km/s between the average velocities of Rayleigh and Love waves has been revealed for the depth range from 30 to 215 km. Since almost no contamination of the fundamental Love mode with higher modes has been observed, and since the investigated structure hardly contains an unresolved system of thin, alternately low- and high-velocity layers, the cause of the difference is evidently polarization anisotropy of the upper mantle beneath the Bohemian Massif. It is recommended that the discussed investigations should be supplemented with data from the fan of KSP-GRF (Gräfenberg Array, Germany) paths and from the KHC-BRG (Berggiesshübel, Germany) profile.  相似文献

为研究裂缝、裂隙介质中波致流引起的衰减,将裂缝看作背景孔隙岩石中非常薄且孔隙度非常高的层状介质,并等价成White周期层状模型.分别考虑不同类型的裂隙和孔隙之间的挤喷流影响,结合改进的Biot方程,推导得到裂缝裂隙介质的刚度与频率的关系.当缝隙中饱含流体时,介质的衰减和速度频散受裂缝、孔隙之间和裂隙、孔隙之间流体流动的显著影响.在低频极限下,裂缝裂隙介质的性质由各向异性Gassmann理论和挤喷流模型获得;而在非常高的频率时,由于缝隙中的压力来不及达到平衡,波致流的影响可忽略.分析表明,裂隙密度主要影响波的衰减,而裂隙纵横比主要控制优势衰减频率和速度显著变化的频率范围;由于不同裂隙的衰减机制不同,衰减和速度频散大小有所差异,但基本趋势相同.

Summary The dispersion of higher modes of surface waves over a region covered by an array of stations can be measured by applying a frequency-wavenumber transform to segments of the signals in these stations, centered at a number of group-velocities. Thus, at a fixed period, modes appear as separate maxima in a display of the power spectrum on a phase-velocity vs. group velocity plane.For regions of mild lateral heterogeneity, the main source of error is shown to be due to the inadequacy of the array-response. Numerical experiments with synthetic signals indicate that a precision of the order of 1% can be obtained with a realistic number of stations. Improvements should be obtained by averaging data obtained from different events. The danger of misidentification of modes can be reduced by iteratively removing the sidelobes from the mode-separation diagram.  相似文献

Summary In this study has been interpreted the Love- and Rayleigh-waves of Agadir earthquake on February 29, 1960 recorded at Lwiro and Skopje earthquake on July 26, 1963 recorded at Pretoria and Windhoek by long period Columbia type seismographs, and determined the crustal structure in Africa with dispersion of both Love- and Rayleigh-waves along the paths on two different directions. The obtained results are compared each other and with those founded recently by several investigators for Africa and Europe. Herewith has been showed that the average thickness of the crust in Africa is thinner than in Europe and the thickness in direction from Skopje to Pretoria is more than that from Agadir to Lwiro.
Zusammenfassung In diesem Artikel wurden die Love- und Rayleigh-Wellen vom Erdbeben in Agadir vom 29. Februar 1960, aufgezeichnet in Lwiro, und vom Erdbeben in Skopje vom 26. Juli 1963, aufgezeichnet in Pretoria und Windhoek von langperiodischen Columbia-Seismographen, untersucht und somit mit Dispersion von beiden Love- und Rayleigh-Wellen der Aufbau der Erdkruste in Afrika bestimmt. Die erhaltenen Resultate wurden miteinander und mit anderen Werten, die bis heute von verschiedenen Autoren für Afrika und Europa bestimmt wurden, verglichen. Somit wurde vorgelegt, dass die Erdkruste in Afrika im allgemeinen dünner ist als in Europa und dass die Schicht in der Richtung von Skopje zu Pretoria dicker ist als in der Richtung von Agadir zu Lwiro.

This paper presents an engineering approach for analysing the longitudinal behaviour of tunnels subjected to earthquakes. The tunnel is modelled as a Timoshenko beam connected to the far soil by means of continuous elastic support (Winkler model). Seismic free-field inputs, such as those caused by surface waves travelling parallel to the tunnel axis, were imposed at the base of the springs of the Winkler model, generating bending moments and shear forces on the cross-sections of the tunnel. Closed-form expressions of the tunnel displacements, shear forces, and bending moments were determined at any tunnel section in terms of the seismic excitation, tunnel geometry and material properties, and subgrade reaction modulus of the soil. A dimensional analysis was carried out to ascertain directly the maximum tunnel displacement, bending moment, and shear force.  相似文献

For land seismic surveys, the surface waves are the dominant noises that mask the effective signals on seismograms. The conventional methods isolate surface waves from the effective signals by the differences in frequencies or apparent velocities, but may not perform well when these differences are not obvious. Since the original seismic interferometry can only predict inter-receiver surface waves, we propose the use of super-virtual interferometry (SVI), which is a totally data-driven method, to predict shot-to-receiver surface waves, since this method relieves the limitation that a real shot should collocate with one of the receivers for adaptive subtraction. We further develop the adaptive weighted SVI (AWSVI) to improve the prediction of dispersive surface waves, which may be generated from heterogeneous media at the near surface. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of AWSVI to predict dispersive surface waves and its applicability to the complex near surface. The application of AWSVI on the field data from a land survey in the east of China improves the suppression of the residual surface waves compared to the conventional methods.  相似文献

A new technique relates the wave velocity of the surface waves in anisotropic elastic medium to its elastic constants. Anisotropic propagation of surface waves is studied in a half-space occupied by a general anisotropic elastic solid. The phase velocity expressions of quasi-waves, in three-dimensional space, are used to derive the secular equation of surface waves. The complex secular equation is resolved, analytically, into real and imaginary parts and is then solved, numerically, for phase velocity along a given phase direction on the surface. The complete procedure is thus analogous to the one used for conventional Rayleigh waves in isotropic medium. A non-linear equation relates the ray direction of the surface waves to its phase direction on the (plane) surface of the medium. The analytical differentiation of secular equation yields the directional derivative of phase velocity. This derivative is used to calculate the wave velocity of surface waves. Spatial variations of phase velocity, wave velocity and ray direction over the free plane surface are plotted for the numerical models of crustal rocks with orthorhombic, monoclinic and triclinic anisotropies.  相似文献

槽波地震勘探利用槽波的频散特性反演煤层的结构特征,故理论频散曲线的计算是一个重要方面.使用水平层状模型假设下的面波频散曲线计算方法能够计算煤层厚度恒定模型地震槽波频散曲线;但当煤层厚度变化时该方法不再适用.基于前人水平层状均匀介质模型的面波理论频散曲线计算方法,对于含煤三层模型,本文发展了煤层厚度变化情况下的地震槽波理论频散曲线计算方法,并使用该方法计算分析了不同厚度函数模型的频散曲线形态特征.研究表明:与稳定厚度煤层相比,煤层厚度变化使得地震槽波群速度成为与频率及传播射线在水平面投影路径相关的二元函数;射线路径上煤层厚度的变化使得频散曲线在群速度方向上压缩,群速度变化范围变小,且使处于最小值位置的埃里相群速度增大;而煤层厚度的线性变化模型频散曲线只与射线首、尾处的煤层厚度有关,与煤层厚度恒定模型相比,曲线形态不发生改变;煤层厚度呈非线性变化时,频散曲线形态上可能发生改变.

The dispersion of surface (Rayleigh and Love) waves in the period range 40–300 s along a large number of paths, allows the estimation of both the azimuthal anisotropy and the shear-wave polarization anisotropy. The regional dispersion is determined, taking into account simultaneously its dependence with age and an azimuthal factor. The Pacific Ocean has been divided into 5 regions for Rayleigh waves and into 3 regions for Love waves. This partition discriminates the regions of extreme age which show a fast variation of dispersion with age, from the regions of intermediate age where the variation is weak. A variation of ~ 2% of Rayleigh-wave group velocity with the azimuth of the path, measured with respect to the direction of spreading is displayed, up to very long-period. On the contrary, the azimuthal anisotropy for Love waves is difficult to resolve. For Rayleigh waves, the present-day direction of plate motion seems to agree best with the direction of maximum velocity. On the other hand, the isotropic inversion of the regional dispersion curves indicates, except for young regions, a discrepancy between Rayleigh-wave and Love-wave models. With this hypothesis, SH-velocities are higher than SV-velocities for the regions older than 23 Ma, down to a depth of 300 km, which is indicative of the presence of polarization anisotropy. The latter, very weak for the young part of the ocean, increases with age and reaches 7%, for the oldest region.  相似文献

Long-period recordings of dispersive Rayleigh waves along numerous station lines, or profiles, in Europe have for the first time permitted a uniform inversion of these observations based on a new method of phase velocity regionalization.Regional dispersion relations obtained by this method have then been subjected to a complete inversion procedure commonly known as the hedgehog method. The results are presented in a map outlining the thickness of the lower lithosphere (lid) and the shear (S) velocities in both the lid and the asthenosphere channel.A comparison of these results with the minimum compressional (P) wave velocities in the asthenosphere and their corresponding depths provides an estimate of theV p /V s ratio for the asthenosphere in the European area.Contribution No. 314, Institute of Geophysics, ETH-Zürich, Switzerland.  相似文献

浅层地震反射波法和面波方法是两种相互独立发展的地震勘探方法,在各自的数据采集和处理中,对方都是作为干扰信号而存在. 本文利用浅层地震反射资料中被视为干扰的面波信号,通过成熟的多道面波勘探技术处理浅层地震反射资料,在频率-波数域中提取多阶振型面波的频散曲线,并基于该曲线反演浅地表S波速度结构. 这种方法充分开发利用了已有数据,无需单独的面波数据采集系统,同时为解释浅层地震反射资料提供了额外的信息约束. 结果表明:浅层地震反射资料中可提取出可靠的多阶振型面波频散曲线,并能给出稳定的反演结果,同时,面波反演的多解性可以通过高阶振型反演得以进一步约束;低速层的存在是观测频散曲线出现振型跳跃或呈“之”字形回折的必要条件而非充分条件.   相似文献

Forward modeling is of critical importance for inversion analysis of surface wave methods to obtain shear-wave velocity (VS) profiles of soil sites. The dynamic stiffness matrix (DSM) method can provide forward modeling of Rayleigh surface waves to simulate complex wave propagation in layered soil sites. However, contamination from body waves and interference of multiple Rayleigh wave modes can reduce the accuracy of theoretical dispersion curves, especially at irregular soil sites with embedded low-velocity or high-velocity layers. An analytical method is developed herein to combine the techniques of the multichannel analysis of surface waves method with the DSM method to improve the accuracy of the theoretical dispersion analysis for soil sites. The proposed method implements multichannel analysis of the analytical displacement responses to capture dominant dispersion trends. Comparison of the results obtained with the new method against those from the transfer matrix method and the literature indicates that the new method can (1) effectively minimize the effects of contamination caused by body waves and interference from several Rayleigh wave modes, and (2) generate accurate dominant dispersion trends for soil sites with various stiffness profiles, especially for the high-frequency dispersion characteristics of the profiles with embedded low-velocity layers.  相似文献

The development of seismic wave study in China in the past four years is reviewed. The discussion is divided into several aspects, including seismic wave propagation in laterally homogeneous media, laterally heterogeneous media, anisotropic and porous media, surface wave and seismic wave inversion, and seismic wave study in prospecting and logging problems. Important projects in the current studies on seismic wave is suggested as the development of high efficient numerical methods, and applying them to the studies of excitation and propagation of seismic waves in complex media and strong ground motion, which will form a foundation for refined earthquake hazard analysis and prediction.  相似文献

滑坡体三维速度结构为滑坡治理、灾害防治、风险防范以及理解滑坡的动力学过程提供了关键信息,而高频面波成像是研究浅层速度结构的重要手段.本文详细介绍了利用2016年12月1日在四川理县西山村滑坡上布设的38个仪器记录的三分量连续地震噪声数据,提取1~5 Hz的基阶Love波和Rayleigh波经验格林函数,分析了不同参数和处理方法对背景噪声互相关计算结果的影响.结果表明,1天左右的连续波形记录裁剪至1200 s的时间长度,进行互相关叠加就可以得到较为稳定的经验格林函数.西山村滑坡体上Love波和Rayleigh波的群速度分别为约400 m·s-1和700 m·s-1,并且Love波信噪比高于Rayleigh波.此外,我们还利用聚束分析方法对噪声源的位置进行了分析,发现1~5 Hz的背景噪声主要来自滑坡东南侧附近杂谷脑河水的搬运作用.这些高频面波数据和噪声源位置为获取滑坡浅层三维速度结构提供了重要输入,同时也为研究滑坡体速度结构随时间的变化提供了基础.

给出一种稳健反演方法(也称迭代加权最小二乘IRLS),该方法对分离数据点极不敏感,因为它可以自动剔除异常的数据点,不需要人工仔细检查和控制数据质量。为了使用Tarantola-Valette的迭代广义离散反演方法进行稳健反演,将基于残差和信噪比的不同判据引入到协方差矩阵(作用相当于权重函数)中。在实际应用中,这个算法的作用相当于震源机制初步测定(PDFM),后者在海啸预警中用于快速估计强震震源参数。要反演的输入数据是长周期面波的频谱,输出的计算结果为地震矩张量,根据这些张量获得地震的震源几何形状和主应力轴。这种算法可以应用于任何非线性(迭代)反演计算中,解决污染数据集的分离数据点的问题。  相似文献

Summary Records of underwater explosions in Iceland in 1959 and 1960, mainly performed for crustal studies, have been investigated with regard to amplitudes. The amplitudes ofP2 in the 1959 explosions and of the first arrivingP waves in the 1960 explosions were found to be proportional to the first power of the charge weight, whereas amplitudes ofP1 andS1 in the 1959 explosions were proportional to the 3/4-power of the charge up to 200 kg, but increased much slower for larger charges. The influence of water depth of shot point on the charge weights, required to obtain a certain amplitude, has been determined and it was found that the logarithm of the charge weight has a linear relation to water depth down to about 8 meters. The amplitudes of first arrivingP waves decrease as the inverse 2.2-power of the distance up to about 30 km. For greater distances an exponential decrease of the form (const./) exp (–) is valid. ForP2 waves with a frequency of 10 cps we found =0.027±0.003 km–1 for a profile across central Iceland and =0.009±0.004 km–1 for a profile in the western part of Iceland.
Zusammenfassung In den Jahren 1959 und 1960 wurden auf Island Unterwasser-Explosionen ausgelöst, deren Hauptziel Untersuchung der Erdkruste waren. Die Aufzeichnungen der Explosionen werden hier in Hinsicht auf die Amplituden der Wellen untersucht. DieP2-Amplituden in den Explosionen von 1959 und die Amplituden der zuerst ankommendenP-Wellen in den Explosionen von 1960 waren proportional der ersten Potenz des Ladungsgewichtes, während diePl-undSl-Amplituden in den Explosionen von 1959 proportional der 3/4-Potenz des Ladungsgewichtes bis 200 kg waren. Für höhere Ladungsgewichte wuchsen die Amplituden langsamer an. Es wurde der Einfluss der Tiefe des Schusspunktes unterhalb des Wasserspiegels auf das für eine gewisse Amplitude benötigte Ladungsgewicht bestimmt. Es ergab sich dabei, dass der Logarithmus des Ladungsgewichtes in einer linearen Beziehung zur Tiefe, bis etwa 8 m, steht. Die Amplituden der zuerst ankommendenP-Wellen sind umgekehrt proportional der 2.2-Potenz der Entfernung, bis etwa 30 km. Für grössere Entfernungen ist die Abnahme der Amplituden exponential und kann durch (Konst./) exp (–) dargestellt werden. FürP2 mit einer Frequenz von 10 cps haben wir =0.027±0.003 km–1 für ein Profil in Zentral-Island und =0.009 ± 0.004 km–1 für ein Profil in West-Island gefunden.
