The physical and orbital parameters of the quadruple star system ι UMa (HD 76644 = ADS 7114) were determined earlier, when it was concluded based on modeling the system’s dynamics and applying theoretical stability criteria that the system was probably unstable. Here the stability of the ι UMa system is studied by calculating the Lyapunov characteristic exponents for representative sets of parameters and initial conditions. The conclusions on the system’s stability (or instability) based on various stability criteria and the calculated Lyapunov exponents are compared. The instability of the system as a whole is confirmed rigorously based on massive computations of the Lyapunov exponents. This system appears to be the only known multiple system whose instability has been rigorously established. The Lyapunov time-disruption time statistical relations are constructed, which show that the Hamiltonian intermittency of the second kind dominates. Typical disruption times are shorter than 1000 years, and the Lyapunov times are shorter than 100 years.  相似文献

The rocks of the Elet’ozero intrusion are characterized by high relative abundances of incompatible elements, with (La/Lu)N varying from 2.1 to 36.6, and a distinct positive Ba anomaly, which may record crystallization of Ba minerals during the formation of mafic rocks. The anomalous Ba enrichment is probably associated with a large-scale fluid-mediated mass transfer during subduction of a lithospheric slab within the Karelian craton which was synchronous with the generation of magmas parental to the Elet’ozero pluton. The presence of Al-rich spinel in gabbroic rocks as early-formed magmatic phases suggests crystallization at relatively high pressures (~0.5 GPa or ~15 km depth). The oxygen fugacity changed with time during the evolution of the magmatic system, approaching its maximum values (approximately 1.5 log units above the quartz–fayalite–magnetite buffer) during extensive crystallization of Fe–Тi oxides. High oxygen fugacities, Ti enrichment of mafic rocks, and lack of any positive correlation between Mg-numbers and Ni content in olivine can be useful indicators of potentially mineralized mafic intrusions.  相似文献

Vibrational properties of diaspore, α-AlOOH, have been re-investigated using room-temperature single-crystal Raman spectroscopy and low-temperature powder infrared (IR) transmission spectroscopy. First-principles harmonic calculations based on density functional theory provide a convincing assignment of the major Raman peaks and infrared absorption bands. The large width of the Raman band related to OH stretching modes is ascribed to mode–mode anharmonic coupling due to medium-strength H-bonding. Additional broadening in the powder IR spectrum arises from depolarization effects in powder particles. The temperature dependence of the IR spectrum provides a further insight into the anharmonic properties of diaspore. Based on their frequency and temperature behavior, narrow absorption features at ~2,000 cm−1 and anti-resonance at ~2,966 cm−1 in the IR spectrum are interpreted as overtones of fundamental bending bands.  相似文献

The parameters of the quadruple system ADS 9626 (µ Boo) are analyzed. The system consists of two double stars: the Aa pair with an angular separation of ρ = 0.08″ and the BC pair with an angular separation of ρ = 2.2″, separated by ρ = 107″ and having the same parallaxes and proper motions. Position observations with the Pulkovo 26″ refractor have yielded from direct astrometric measurements the difference in the apparent magnitudes and the component-mass ratio for the BC subsystem: Δm = 0.59 ± 0.06, M(B)/M(C) = 1.18 ± 0.02. Spectroscopy with the Russian-Turkish 1.5-m telescope has yielded the radial velocities and physical parameters of the Aa, B, and C components. Speckle-interferometric observations with the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory have provided the first measurements of the magnitude difference in the close Aa subsystem: Δm = 0.46 ± 0.03 (λ = 5500 Å) and Δm = 0.41 ± 0.03 (λ = 8000 Å). The new observations are consistent with the known orbits, which were used to find the radial velocities for the centers of mass of the inner subsystems. Themotion of the outer pair, Aa-BC, is studied using the apparent motion parameters (AMP) method. It is not possible to derive an elliptical orbit for this pair; the elements of a hyperbolic orbit have been estimated. The difference of the heavy-element abundances for the Aa and BC subsystems of 0.5 dex confirms that these pairs have a different origin. This suggests that we are observing here a close encounter of two binary stars.  相似文献

Recent studies carried out in the High Andes of central-western Argentina in the provinces of San Juan and Mendoza have established its stratigraphic and structural evolution. This paper presents new data on the Triassic–Early Jurassic rift system, the depositional sequences, and a synthesis of the tectonic evolution of the region, along with a correlation with the Chilean continental margin.The paleogeographic evolution of the Cordillera Principal at these latitudes is controlled by the development of the Mercedario rift system. This rift began with the sedimentation of synrift deposits of the Rancho de Lata Formation, during the Rhetian (about 190 Ma). Subsidence was driven by normal faults, locally preserved in spite of the severe tectonic inversion of the Andes during the Cenozoic. Different authors have emphasized that an important extension dominated the transition between the Triassic and Jurassic periods along the magmatic arc in the Coastal Cordillera of Chile on the western side of the Andes. Extension was related to the bimodal magmatism that characterized the evolution of this segment (30°–33° SL). The granitic plutonism and the associated mafic volcanism indicate that they were controlled by extension during 220–200 Ma. The first subduction related granitoids at these latitudes are 170 Ma old (Bathonian).The geometry of the Mercedario rift system may be reconstructed by the pattern of the normal faults. Rifting was followed by a thermal subsidence that expanded the original area of sedimentation and controlled the paleogeography of the Los Patillos Formation during Pliensbachian to early Callovian times. This period of cooling and thermal subsidence is correlated with magmatic quiescence in the continental margin. The evolution of the basin closely matches the magmatic history of the Chilean continental margin. Subduction at the continental margin began in the Bathonian, together with deposition of the upper section of Los Patillos Formation.Arc magmatism shifted to the Cordillera Principal during the Kimmeridgian, where it is represented by the volcanic and volcaniclastic deposits of Tordillo Formation.Early Mesozoic evolution of the Andean system at these latitudes is, thus, reconstructed by a comparative analysis of these two adjacent regions, driven by a common tectonic regime, but through different geological processes.  相似文献

Soil losses and siltation of the hydrological system (watershed–dam) of K’sob were obtained using direct and indirect methods. The Wadi K’sob watershed of 1,484 km2, average slope of 0.14, and average elevation of 1,060 m is located in a semiarid climate. The average annual rainfall is 341 mm and the mean annual water discharge is 0.89 m3/s. Data from the Medjez gauging station located 6 km upstream of the dam, are the daily liquid flow and instantaneous concentrations of suspended sediments. Over a time period from 1973 to 2010, the relationship between water and sediment discharges is quantified by the equation: Q s?=?5.6 Q 1.31. Thus, in view of the availability data on a daily scale, the assessment of soil erodibility of the K’sob watershed was used to estimate specific soil losses of 203 t?km?2?year?1or 301,000 t eroded annually from the K’sob basin. The bathymetric measurements of the sediment volumes deposited in the K’sob dam, has quantified the annual siltation of 0.8 hm3, corresponding to an average erodibility of the K’sob watershed of 809 t?km?2?year?1. However, when adding the volume of sediment removed by the dredging operation and de-silting by the valves during heavy floods, the value of soil losses is 2,780 t?km?2?year?1. The indirect assessment of soil erodibility of the basin was obtained by applying two models: the quantitative geomorphological analysis (QGA) and PISA model (prediction of silting in the artificial reservoirs, in Italian: Previsioni dell’Interimento nei Serbatoi Artificiali) using physical and climatic factors in the watershed. The obtained results by QGA method underestimate specific soil losses of 524 t?km?2?year?1. The PISA model gives a value of 2,915 t?km?2?year?1, which is close to the value obtained by bathymetric measurements. This study concludes that PISA model is most suitable to estimate soil loss and siltation of the K’sob hydrological system.  相似文献

This investigation seeks to analyse the territorial transformations, land uses, and land tenures in the region of Compostela, Nueva Galicia during the seventeenth century, using land grants for sites of cattle and sheep husbandry and farmland granted as the rural properties to the Dávalos-Bracamontes family, who in 1690 obtained the title of the Counts of Miravalle. The novohispanas haciendas served as territorial control mechanisms of the use and incorporation of new forms of exploitation of the area’s natural resources. The methodology is based on the analysis of the archival data, historical cartography, supplemented by information collected in fieldwork and use of historical modality of geographic information systems. The haciendas of La Lagunilla, Miravalle and San José were located and together represented 33,736.60 ha of land for livestock and agriculture. The territorial extension was possible due to the disappearance of villages, parse indigenous populations in the surroundings and commitments made by the Spanish Crown to the Dávalos-Bracamontes family.

The first data on the geochemistry of the alkali syenite massif in Cape Budun of Ol’khon Island, where it makes contact in the south with the Khuzir gabbroid massif, are presented. Syenites occur among granite gneisses of the Sharanur dome and, like its granites, are enriched with Zr and REEs, but depleted in other trace elements. They contain anorthoclase, corundum, rare nepheline, zircon, and hercynite and are accompanied by desilicified pegmatites. Their unusual geochemical properties allow the assumption that alkaline magmas resulted from the interaction between basic and granitoid melts.  相似文献

Water resources system is composed of natural water subsystem and social water subsystem. And it is a complicated large system, which contains certain regional background, as well as specific framework, function and dynamic balance. The evaluation of the water resources system needs the viewpoint of sustainable development and the measurement according to water resources system carrying capacity, which holds the meaning of both water resources carrying capacity and water environment carrying capacity. The Changjiang River Delta is a very important area in China. As the local water resources are concerned, the Delta is an area lack of water as a matter of fact. The water resources system of the Delta experiences a long, intricate and degenerate period. The lack of water due to resources shortage in the 1950's was converted to that due to water quality from the 1980's. Furthermore, the status of water shortage sharpens gradually. The representations are summarized as follows: firstly, the discharge amount of wastewater and polluted water is large all along. Secondly, the pollution status of rivers, which involve the Changjiang River, the Grand Canal, the rivers in cities and the rivers in small towns and villages, is noticeable. Thirdly, water quality of Taihu Lake is worth of more attention. Therefore, the countermeasures on the reconditioning and regulating of water resources system in the Delta demands the following new strategies, such as to treat the rivers, the lakes and the seas as one overall system, to improve, harmonize and counterpoise water resources system carrying capacity, to implement the integrated management of water resources, which means the integrated management of drainage area along with the regional area, especially the integrated management of city water, and to carry on water saving and scientific use so as to increase the efficiency of water use, and so on.  相似文献

In EGS projects, fault zones are considered as the structures controlling deep flow at the reservoir scale. Using a large set of petrophysical properties (porosity, density, permeability, thermal conductivity [TC]) measured on cores collected along the EPS-1 borehole, a model of fault zone is proposed to describe them. A fault zone is a complex structure, showing different parts with different kinds of deformations and/or materials that could explain chemical and physical processes observed during fluid-rock interactions. The different parts composing the fault zone are: (1) the fault core or gauge zone; (2) the damage zone; (3) and the protolith. They are usually heterogeneous and show different physical properties. The damage zone is a potential high permeability channel and could become the main pathway for fluids if secondary minerals seal the fault core. Porosity is the lowest within the protolith, between 0.5 and 1%, but can go up to 15% in the fault zone. Permeability ranges from 10?20 m2 in the fresh granite to, at least, 10?15 m2 in the fault core, and TC ranges from 2.5 W K?1m?1 to 3.7 W K?1m?1. Finally, variations in specific surface are set over two orders of magnitude. If the lowest values usually characterize the fresh granite far from fault zones, physical properties could show variations spread over their whole respective ranges within these fault zones.  相似文献

The Hagendorf–Pleystein Pegmatite Province, SE Germany, is known for the largest feldspar–quartz pegmatite in Central Europe and renowned for its rare elements, e.g., Li, Nb, and Ta, giving rise to a spate of exotic minerals, mainly phosphates. Argillaceous rocks are scarce and eclipsed by the numerous mineralogical investigations on rare phosphates. These phosphate pegmatites are for the first time subjected to a clay mineralogical study, rendered possible by the newly discovered strongly kaolinized aplite near the Kreuzberg Quartz Pegmatite at Pleystein. The supergene kaolin akin to the residual kaolin deposit at Tirschenreuth, SE Germany, was analyzed for its major and minor elements by XRF and micro-chemically by EMPA. Mineralogical investigations involved XRD, IR spectroscopy, thermoanalytical studies, CEC analyses and SEM-EDX. Supergene kaolinization forms a repository for heavy minerals critical for the interpretation of the emplacement of the Late Paleozoic pegmatites as well as a matrix for pegmatite-related trace elements and thereby may be used as an ore guide during exploration of these rare metal pegmatites. The resultant kaolin is also the protagonist in the story of exhumation and destruction of a pegmatite by weathering and erosion. Irrespective of the strength of kaolinization, Nb–Ta–Ti heavy minerals can be identified in the regolith atop the host pegmatite or aplite and used for genetic interpretation of the primary mineralization and the origin of the felsic intrusive. Nb–Ta solid solution series (s.s.s.) have to be treated cautiously because of the disposition of Ta-enriched Nb–Ta oxide s.s.s. to undergo corrosion in their tantalite lamellae more easily than in their niobium-enriched zones. Kaolinization may alter the primary Nb/Ta ratio but not to the extent that Ta is released completely. The most strongly kaolinized new aplite is the youngest member of a series of felsic intrusive rocks in the Pleystein pegmatite–aplite system. The supergene kaolinization extending from the Miocene through the Pliocene can easily be correlated by “minero-stratigraphy” with the larger Tirschenreuth kaolin deposit. The four stages established in the area furnish evidence of gradual alkalinization of the meteoric pore fluids throughout the Neogene and the Quaternary. Youngest stages are found at Tirschenreuth, the oldest regolith stage is present at Pleystein.  相似文献

The Tatric-Fatric-Veporic convergence zone of the Central Western Carpathians involved a basinal area that originated by Lower Jurassic rifting of Variscan continental crust. In mid-Cretaceous times shortening affected first the southern, Veporic margin of the basin, which was converted to the toe of the orogenic wedge prograding from the hinterland. A system of ductile basement/cover large-scale folds formed here by rotation of pre-existing, closely spaced, domino-type normal faults. However, the advancement of the wedge was likely accomplished by formation of a new thrust fault rooted in the ductile lower and/or middle crust. Afterwards, the basement of the lower plate Fatric basin was underthrust below the Veporic wedge; its sedimentary fill was detached and stacked to create the later Krížna decollement cover nappe. Underthrusting continued until the lower plate–Tatric margin collided with the orogenic wedge toe. Large basement slabs were peeled off this margin, shortened internally and thrust at moderate distances over the South Tatric ridge area. Pre-existing domino blocks were only slightly inverted here and passively transported above new thrust faults, which formed along weak crustal layers. It is inferred that the origin and geometry of large-scale, basement-involved structures generated in wide, intracontinental convergent zones is largely dependent on the lower versus upper plate position with distinctly different thermo-mechanical regimes operating during deformation.  相似文献

Literature thermodynamic data on species and particles existing in the heterogeneous PdO-H2O system were checked for consistency, and the equilibrium constants for dissolution of palladium oxide and hydroxide in water and for Pd2+ (aq) hydrolysis were recommended. Δ f G 298.15 ° obtained in this work for Pd2+(aq) sharply differs (no less than by 6 kJ/mol) from values that are reported in fundamental thermodynamic reference books and based on experimentally measured palladium electrode potential at 25°C. Detailed examination of literature data on the thermodynamic properties of compounds in the Cl-Pd(aq) system is required to account for revealed inconsistency.  相似文献

Magnesium and Ca concentration ratios, fulvic acid content, total dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and pH were determined in seepage water and drip water samples collected during one seasonal cycle between June 2000 and May 2001 above and in the Béke Cave of Aggtelek (Hungary). Seepage water samples were collected at 0.5 and 7 m below ground level from an observation point situated above the cave. Drip water was collected 40 m underground from a group of stalactites. The fulvic acid concentrations were determined by fluorescence spectrometry after pre-concentration on a XAD-8 chromatographic column. Calcium and Mg concentrations were measured by inductively coupled plasma atomic-emission spectrometry. DIC was determined with a CO2 – selective electrode. DIC values increased and the fulvic acid concentrations and Mg and Ca concentration ratios, generally, decreased with depth. The highest flux of fulvic acid was observed in spring. The fulvic acid flux increased by a factor of 2.6–3.6 and 1.4 for groundwater and drip water, respectively, compared with those registered in the winter samples. The variations in the Ca, Mg and fulvic acid concentrations of the seepage and drip water samples relate to the variable drip rate. The results revealed that there is a strong correlation between the daily average surface temperature, daily amount of precipitation and drip water rate registered in the cave.  相似文献

The western Baikal region (Ol’khon region, Nutgei zone, Kharikta area) is characterized by the development of packets of thrust-type folds and synkinematic granites corresponding to the stage of thrust deformations (overthrust-type granites). Two stages in the formation of thrust-type folds separated by episodes of granite emplacement are definable. The data obtained make it possible to estimate both the time of transition from thrust to strike-slip deformations and the duration of accretionary?collisional events that resulted in regional strike-slip deformations, which terminated in the western Baikal region 460?455 Ma ago.  相似文献

Aboisso is faced with drinking water supply problems despite its abundant rainfall (2,000?mm/year) and large river assets. These difficulties are exacerbated by the existence of large pollution sources caused by agro-industrial plantations. This paper mainly deals with the combined approach of geographic information systems and multicriteria analysis to delineate potential groundwater zones in the Aboisso area. The multicriteria analysis method includes both Boolean method and the linear combination of weights based on the comparison per pair. Two types of indicator were used: the evaluation indicators, which combine accessibility, exploitability and availability of the groundwater, and the monitoring indicator, which is represented by groundwater vulnerability to pollution. It appears that the favourable zones for water point establishment represent 54?% of the Aboisso area. This class is distributed throughout the area, with an exception in the East. The uncertainty and sensitivity analyses indicate that parameters causing high sensitivity on the potentiality map are made up of the slope, the total depth and the induced permeability while the topography and depth are the most sensitive parameters for the vulnerability map. This study appears to be a substantial contribution to overcoming the problem of drinkable water, which the rural populations were facing.  相似文献
