In the present paper, the application of the sliding mode control (SMC) scheme is discussed in a systematic manner for controlling the vibration of tall buildings with an Active Tuned Mass Damper (ATMD) installed at the top floor. It is shown that the application of the SMC theory for buildings with ATMD may lead to large responses in the building due to the interaction effect from the ATMD caused by the comparatively large response of the ATMD. Based on the theory of compensators, a method is proposed which eliminates the interaction effect from the ATMD to the building and thus prevents large response in the building. The results are demonstrated through simple numerical examples of building–ATMD system subjected to initial condition loading as well as two different types of external excitations. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

本文应用最近提出的全反馈主动控制法对高层建筑地震反应进行了全反馈主动TMD(调谐质量阻尼器)控制的理论研究,考虑了实时控制过程中控制力的时间滞后效应,并通过数值模拟分析了不同的反馈形式以及不同的时间滞后量对主动TMD控制效果的影响。最后得出结论:对高层建筑地震反应实施全反馈主动TMD控制,既能更有效地降低结构的位移反应和速度反应,又能大幅度地降低结构的加速度反应;且当控制力时间滞后量较大时,对主动  相似文献

提出了控制地震概念和用时间反转方法实现非均匀地壳中波的聚焦,从而实现动力触发地震的思路。采用了有限元动力学仿真技术,研究了在波的遍历模型、线性不均匀的介质、以至非线性介质中的时间反转,探讨了在潜在震源区域人工聚能的可能性。结果表明这种聚能是可行的,在考虑介质非线性的条件下,波能量至少可以近似地聚焦。  相似文献

This paper proposes the Linear-Saturation (LS) control as a new and suitable control algorithm for buildings with an Active Mass Damper (AMD) system. It takes into account the physical constraints on the AMD system and uncertainties in the loading. The LS control consists of a low-gain linear control when the system is close to the zero state and bang-bang control otherwise. This paper provides a precise formulation of the saturation control and presents optimal solutions which can be implemented in the state space. A numerical scheme to synthesize the switching surface which is needed to implement the bang-bang control is developed. Furthermore, a method to demarcate the region for linear control is proposed. The effectiveness of the LS control is verified through numerical simulations with one- and multi-storey buildings subjected to earthquakes. It is shown that the LS control provides better performance compared to even the gain-scheduled LQ control.  相似文献

In this paper, a new disturbance rejection controller is used to improve the response of a bridge during the application of environmental excitations. The controller combines global linearization of a non-linear bridge model and robust controller design to achieve its objectives. The resulting controller is robust with respect to disturbances, modelling errors and controller implementation errors. The method is applied to the Aptos Creek bridge in Santa Cruz under excitation caused by El-Centro earthquake.  相似文献

Long-period structures(e.g. Isolated structures) tend to produce pseudo-resonance with low frequency components of long-period ground motions, resulting in the increase in damage. Stiffness mutation occurs due to the setback in the upper body of the large chassis structure. In the parts with stiffness mutation, the torsion effect caused by the tower is far greater than that of the chassis itself. In this study, a total of 273 ground motions are collected and then filtered into four types, including the near-field ordinary, near-field pulse, far-field ordinary, and farfield harmonic. An 8-degree(0.2 g) fortified large chassis base-isolated structure is established. Furthermore,ETABS program software is used to conduct nonlinear time history analysis on the isolation and seismic model under bi-directional earthquake ground motions. The comparison results show that the seismic isolation effect of the base-isolated structure under long-period ground motions is worse than that associated with ordinary ground motions when the seismic response reduction rate of the large base floor significantly decreases compared with that of the tower. When the inter-story displacement angle and the displacement of isolation layer of the chassis exceeds the limit of Code for Seismic Design of Buildings(GB 50011-2010), it is recommended to adopt composite seismic isolation technology or add limit devices. Under the condition of long-period ground motions, the baseisolated structure reduces the lateral-torsional coupling effect of the large chassis structure, while the torsion response of large chassis' top layer increases. Under long-period ground motions with the same acceleration peak,the response of the base-isolated structure increases much more than that of the seismic structure and the consideration of this impact is suggested to be added to the Code.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an optimal polynomial controller for reducing the peak response quantities of seismically excited non-linear or hysteretic building systems. A performance index, that is quadratic in control and polynomial of any order in non-linear states, is considered. The performance index is minimized based on the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation using a polynomial function of non-linear states, which satisfies all the properties of a Lyapunov function. The resulting optimal controller is a summation of polynomials in non-linear states, i.e. linear, cubic, quintic, etc. Gain matrices for different parts of the controller are determined from Riccati and Lyapunov matrix equations. Numerical simulation results indicate that the percentage of reduction for the selected peak response quantity increases with the increase of the earthquake intensity. Such load adaptive properties are very desirable, since the intensity of the earthquake ground acceleration is stochastic in nature. The proposed optimal polynomial controller is an effective and viable control method for non-linear or hysteretic civil engineering structures. It is an addition to available control methods in the literature.  相似文献
