位于青藏高原南部的拉萨地体不仅记录了中生代的新特提斯洋俯冲及随后新生代的印度-欧亚板块陆陆碰撞造山作用,而且还记录了晚古生代-早中生代南、北拉萨地体的拼合作用。本文对拉萨地体东部东久地区的片岩和脉体进行了岩石学和锆石U-Pb年代学研究,表明片岩经历了峰期高角闪岩相的变质作用和部分熔融,中压角闪岩相退变质过程以及晚期的降温、降压过程。片岩记录了峰期矿物组合蓝晶石+石榴石+黑云母+斜长石+钛铁矿+石英,退变质矿物组合石榴石+夕线石+堇青石+黑云母+斜长石+钛铁矿+石英,晚期退变质矿物组合堇青石+黑云母+白云母+绿泥石+斜长石+钛铁矿+石英。相平衡模拟研究表明,片岩的峰期变质作用温度、压力条件约为720℃、0.9GPa;退变质条件约为670℃、0.59GPa以及480℃、0.12GPa。全岩地球化学研究表明,含石榴石长英质脉体具有显著的Eu元素正异常(δEu=3.57),为斜长石堆晶的产物。锆石U-Pb年代学表明,片岩和脉体在早侏罗纪的181 Ma和195 Ma发生了变质和部分熔融作用。本文结合已发表研究结果表明,东久地区的高级变质岩可划分出不同的构造岩片,在早侏罗纪先后经历了相似温、压条件的变质作用,为南、北拉萨地体碰撞造山作用的产物。  相似文献

The Bilong Co oil shale, located in the South Qiangtang depression, northern Tibet Plateau, may record the Early Jurassic anoxic event in the eastern Tethys. New geochemical data from the Bilong Co oil shale section are presented in order to determine the mechanism of organic accumulation and to evaluate Early Jurassic anoxia in the eastern Tethys. In organic-rich oil shales, many redox proxies including the relationship of Mo to total organic carbon (TOC), Re/Mo ratios, and pyrite framboid size distribution suggest deposition under euxinic conditions. However, the correlation between TOC and P and Mo contents indicates that organic matter accumulation was controlled mainly by primary productivity. The Sr/Al ratios and clastic influx proxies such as Si, Ti, Th, Zr, and Al concentrations suggest a continuous supply of fresh water from a nearby continent during oil shale deposition. This supply could have initiated stratification of the water so that the upper zone became favourable for marine life. Increased primary productivity could have led to formation of anoxic/sulphidic bottom waters, which enhanced the preservation of organic matter. Deposition of organic-rich oil shales terminated when primary productivity decreased, leading to more oxic bottom water conditions.  相似文献

Major and trace element analyses of over one hundred Mesozoic dolerite dikes from eastern North America have established three main chemical types: 1) olivine-normative; 2) high-TiO2 quartz-normative; and 3) low-TiO2 quartz-normative; and a less common high-Fe2 O3 * ( Fe as Fe2O3) quartz-normative type. Quartz-normative dikes predominate from Nova Scotia to Maryland whereas olivine-normative dikes predominate in North and South Carolina. In Virginia and Georgia these types occur in approximately equal abundance.The high-Fe2O3 * quartz-normative type may be a result of local differentiation. The other quartz-normative types are chemically distinct from each other and probably evolved from different parental magmas. The olivine-normative type may be representative of these parental magmas, and either the parental magmas overlap in composition or only one magma is represented by analyzed olivine-normative dikes.Simple crystal fractionation models coupled with constraints on liquidus phases imposed by recent experimental studies reveal that 1) all three quartz-normative types can be derived from the olivine-normative type by the removal of slightly different cumulate assemblages, but not by contamination with any common crustal composition, and 2) the two-main quartz-normative types are related to each other by neither crystal fractionation nor contamination processes. According to the models, any of the quartz-normative types can be derived from the olivine-normative type by 60–70% accumulation, with the cumulate consisting primarily of 50% plagioclase, 25–30% olivine, and 15% clinopyroxene.The concept of vertical inhomogeniety with respect to incompatible elements in the upper mantle source areas is invoked as a possible explanation for the chemically distinct parental magmas. The spatial distribution of the chemical types and the gross outcrop pattern of the dike swarm clearly indicate that the tectonic environment of the northern Appalachian region differed from that of the southern part during the early Mesozoic.  相似文献

冀东地区位于华北克拉通东部,区内中生代岩浆活动强烈,形成了大量不同时代的侵入岩,成为研究华北克拉通破坏过程的重要研究对象。本文在冀东青龙地区对蛇盘兔花岗岩和龙须门闪长岩进行了锆石离子探针定年,分别获得了1920±24Ma和1905±13Ma的年龄,结合前人在冀东其它地区获得的190~199Ma的不同岩体的锆石年龄,表明冀东地区早侏罗世是一重要的岩浆作用时期。青龙地区的早侏罗世岩浆岩由经历了不同程度结晶分异的中-酸性岩组成,它们的锆石ε_(Hf)(t)明显高于华北古老下地壳的范围,说明可能并不是完全由古老下地壳重熔产生。另一方面,蛇盘兔花岗岩和龙须门闪长岩的锆石ε_(Hf)(t)均具有较小的变化范围,结合它们极低的Cr、Ni含量,可以排除壳幔岩浆的直接混合。鉴于该地区在三叠纪岩浆岩中存在亏损地幔物质的加入,推测冀东青龙地区早侏罗世岩浆岩可能来源于三叠纪底侵作用形成的新生地壳与古老地壳的混合源区的部分熔融。  相似文献

Skeletal remains of the extinct American mastodon have often been found with deposits of short, decorticated twigs intermixed with plant fragments presumed to be gastrointestinal or fecal material. If such deposits are digesta, paleobotanical evidence may be used to analyze mastodon foraging strategy, with implications for assessing habitat selection, ecological roles, and response to environmental change. To identify components of mastodon diet in mid-latitude late-Pleistocene boreall forests of eastern North America, plant macrofossils and pollen from a molar socket (Hyde Park site, New York) were compared with dispersed deposits associated with skeletal remains (Hiscock and Chemung sites, New York). Similar macrofossil condition and twig morphology among samples, but difference from a modern boreal fen analog, confirmed the deposits were digesta. Comparison of twigs with material from other paleontological sites and modern elephants suggested dimensions generally indicative of digesta. Picea formed the bulk of each sample but Pinus may have been locally important. Wintertime browsing of Salix and Populus, and springtime consumption of Alnus, were indicated. Evidence for Cyperaceae, Gramineae, and Compositae was ambiguous. If conifers, broadleaf trees, shrubs, and herbs were necessary to fulfill dietary requirements, mastodons would have been nutritionally stressed by rapid late-Pleistocene decrease in vegetational diversity.  相似文献

北黄海盆地东部坳陷经历了多期复杂的构造演化,同沉积期盆地的古地形控制了物源区、沉积区及沉积物的搬运方向和方式。本文利用单井剥蚀量和原始沉积厚度计算、构造沉降量计算等方法,恢复了东部坳陷中侏罗世(J_2SQ1和J_2SQ2)和晚侏罗世(J_3SQ1和J_3SQ2)的古地形。J_2SQ1时期盆缘隆起连片,东部隆起已初具雏形,东部隆起两侧形成了两个凹陷区;J_2SQ2时期东部隆起扩大,成为坳中隆起,隆起两侧的凹陷区加深,北部的凹陷逐渐转变为主凹陷区;J_3SQ1时期东部隆起两侧凹陷继续加深;J_3SQ2凹陷区抬升,盆地整体沉积面积比前期略有减小。构造古地形控制了沉积物搬运和堆积。古隆起、古斜坡是沉积物通道,控制砂体的堆积和分布,其中陡坡带发育冲积扇和扇三角洲沉积,而缓坡带发育河流和三角洲沉积;古凹陷是沉积物的堆积场所,一般发育水下扇和湖泊沉积。东部隆起作为坳中隆起,不仅分隔了凹陷区,且成为重要的物源区。  相似文献

The western Daqingshan area, located in the eastern Yinshan belt, is dominated by the southern Daqingshan fold-and-thrust system and the northern Shiguai basin. Based on detailed structural investigations, stratigraphic controls, and geochronology, a three-stage tectonic evolution is proposed for the western Daqingshan area during the Jurassic. The discovery of syndepositional normal faults in the Early–Middle Jurassic sequences suggests that an N–S extensional regime (ca. 200–170 Ma) characterized the first deformational stage, which controlled the initial formation of the Shiguai basin. Subsequently, the relatively expansive rift basin was dissected by the initial development of the Daqingshan fold-and-thrust system that was associated with a N–S compressional regime (ca. 170–160 Ma). This phase of deformation involved the Lower–Middle Jurassic synrift sediments into a series of E–W-trending compressional structures, and controlled the deposition of Late–Middle Jurassic Changhangou growth strata ahead of the deformation front. Finally, the progression of Daqingshan fold-and-thrust system was dominated by NW–SE compression (ca. 160–145 Ma), which converted the previous E–W-trending compressional structures into a stepped geometry marked by several NE-trending oblique footwall ramps, and resulted in the depocentre of the Late Jurassic Daqingshan synorogenic conglomerate migrating markedly northeastwards. The driving mechanisms for these three palaeostress fields are considered as asthenosphere upwelling following Permian–Triassic collisional orogenesis, closure of the Mongol–Okhotsk Ocean, and NW-directed subduction of the Palaeo-Pacific plate, respectively.  相似文献

A numerical model describing two-dimensional, shallow water, long wave propagation has provided estimates of the co-oscillating palaeotides in the upper Devonian Catskill Sea. This sea was open to the ocean along the present Gulf Coast and, moving clockwise, was circumscribed by the Transcontinental Arch, the Old Red Sandstone Continent, and the rising Appalachian Orogen. Using the present best estimates of basin bathymetry and open-ocean tidal range, the model indicates high mesotidal to low macrotidal ranges for the Catskill Shelf along the ancestral Appalachians. The Mid-Continent Shelf, centred on Iowa, is considered to have been microtidal. These conclusions are not sensitive to reasonable variations in shelf geometry and support the hypothesis that at least some epicontinental seas could have been tide-dominated.  相似文献

This study concerns the pollen and plant macrofossils from Mid-Wisconsinan Interstadial sites within the Wisconsinan ice margin in eastern North America. The time period covered is from about 55,000 years BP to 22,500 years BP, an interval much longer than the postglacial. Sediments examined are principally those of large lakes deposited in the Erie and Ontario basins during intervals of ice retreat.The Port Talbot I Interval (from about 55,000 to 50,000 years BP) in the Erie basin is characterized by pollen assemblages alternating from Pinus-dominated zones to ones with abundant Pinus, Quercus, and nonarboreal pollen. These assemblages are interpreted as indicating relatively warm and dry conditions. Mean July temperatures fluctuated between 15 and 21°C.During the succeeding Port Talbot II Interval and Plum Point Interstadial, in both the Erie and Ontario basins, pollen assemblages are characterized by dominant Pinus and Picea. Characteristic macrofossils include needles of the boreal Picea and Larix and leaves of species with a more northerly distribution, such as Dryas integrifolia, Betula glandulosa var. glandulosa, Vaccinium uliginosum var. alpinum, and Salix herbacea. These fossil assemblages are interpreted as indicating cooler and moister conditions in a forest-tundra environment. Mean July temperatures fluctuated between 10 and 15°C during the Port Talbot II Interval and Plum Point Interstadial.  相似文献

北美东部被动大陆边缘是世界上最古老的完整被动大陆边缘之一,是研究被动大陆边缘发育演化的天然实验室。本文在大量国外研究成果的基础上,应用盆地构造解析方法,深入研究了北美东部被动大陆边缘盆地群的地质结构和构造演化特征,并揭示了盆地群的油气地质规律。研究认为,北美东部盆地群沉积充填和不整合面发育具有明显的分段性和差异性。以区域不整合面为界,不同段盆地可划分为不同的构造层:南段盆地可划分为两套构造层;中段南部盆地可划分为3套构造层;中段北部盆地可划分为4套构造层;而北段盆地可划分为5套构造层。盆地群整体经历了陆内裂谷—陆间裂谷—被动大陆边缘的演化过程,但不同段盆地的构造演化具有明显的分段性和迁移性:晚三叠世沉降中心位于南段盆地;早侏罗世初期迁移至中段盆地,南段大陆开始裂解;中侏罗世逐渐迁移至北段盆地,中段大陆开始裂解;早白垩世晚期,北段大陆开始裂解。受持续的抬升剥蚀及大西洋岩浆活动省的联合作用,南段盆地和中段大多数盆地缺乏油气保存条件;斯科舍盆地和大浅滩盆地是主要的含油气盆地,以上侏罗统烃源岩为主,主要发育断层—背斜圈闭和盐体刺穿圈闭,整体表现为“自生自储”和“下生上储”的特征。  相似文献

By mapping and summarizing 478 pollen counts from surface samples at 406 locations in eastern North America, this study documents the relationships between the distributions of pollen and vegetation on a continental scale. The most common pollen types in this region are pine, birch, oak, and spruce. Maps showing isopercentage contours or isopolls for 13 important pollen types reflect the general N-S zonation of the vegetation. The maps and tabulations of average pollen spectra for the six major vegetational regions indicate high values for the following pollen types in each region: (1) tundra-nonarboreal birch, sedge, and alder; (2) forest/tundra-spruce, nonarboreal birch and alder; (3) boreal forest-spruce, jack pine (type), and arboreal birch with fir in the southeastern part; (4) conifer/hardwood forest-white pine, arboreal birch, and hemlock with beech, maple, and oak in the southern part; (5) deciduous forest-oak, pine, hickory, and elm, with beech and maple in the northern part, and highest values of oak and hickory west of the Appalachian crest; and (6) southeastern forest-pine, oak, hickory, tupelo, and Myricaceae. In some cases, less abundant pollen types are diagnostic for the region, e.g., bald cypress in the southeast. In the conifer-hardwood region and southward, pollen of weeds associated with deforestation and agriculture is abundant. The maps also show that much of southeastern U.S. and the area just to the east of Hudson Bay are in need of additional sampling. At 51 of the sites, absolute pollen frequencies (APF; grains/ml lake sediment) were obtained. These confirm the major conclusions from the percentage data, but differences are evident, e.g., the percentages of alder pollen peak in the tundra whereas alder APFs peak in the boreal forest, and spruce percentages peak in the forest-tundra whereas spruce APFs peak in the boreal forest. Because the APF data reflect the patterns of absolute abundance of individual taxa in the vegetation as well as the overall forest densities, future counts of modern pollen should include APF determinations. The effects of sedimentation processes on APF quantities indicate that APF samples should be obtained from moderate size lakes of similar morphology and hydrology and that, in each lake, several samples from the profundal zone should be pooled to create a sample representative of that lake.  相似文献

The metamorphic belt in the Dongjiu area is located in the eastern segment of the Lhasa terrane in South Tibet. The Dongjiu metamorphic rocks are primarily composed of schist and gneiss, with minor amounts of marble, and the protoliths are sedimentary rocks with Precambrian and early Palaeozoic zircons probably deposited during the Palaeozoic or late Neoproterozoic. On the basis of petrology and phase equilibria modelling, this study shows that the Dongjiu metamorphic belt has experienced a kyanite-grade metamorphism, which is characterized by a decompressional vector with slight cooling from a peak of 9.6 kbar and 745°C to medium-pressure amphibolite-facies metamorphic overprinting at 5–6 kbar and 600–630°C. This P–T path was well recorded and recovered by garnet zoning profiles. Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry in situ U–Pb analyses on metamorphic zircons and zircon rims yielded concordant 206Pb/238U ages of c. 194–192 Ma, suggesting that the Dongjiu metamorphic rocks were formed during the Early Jurassic. Therefore, the Dongjiu metamorphic belt, together with the western Nyainqentanglha, Basongco, and Zhala metamorphic belts, constitutes a nearly continuous tectonic unit with an E–W extension of at least 500 km between the northern and southern Lhasa terranes. The metamorphic ages of these belts, ranging from 230 to 192 Ma, show a younger trend from west to east, indicating that the central segment of the Lhasa terrane experienced an eastward asynchronous collisional orogeny during the Late Triassic to Early Jurassic.  相似文献

The paper presents the results of lithological studies of Jurassic rocks in one of the largest basins in the eastern Transbaikal region (Olov depression). These results refined settings of the volcanosedimentary association and indicated that the Olov depression was formed in three stages: stage 1 related to tectonic activation manifested as cataclasis of granitoids in the Transbaikal region and incipience of numerous depressions (Olov included); stage 2 characterized by catastrophic events related to reactivation of tectonic motions, strong volcanism, and intense activity of geysers; and stage 3 marked by termination of volcanic activity and relative tectonic stability of the region that promoted the deposition of rocks of the middle and upper Ukurei subformations in the course of slow synsedimentary subsidence of the depression. Uranium mineralization in the rocks was governed mainly by the following conditions: (1) abundance of cataclased granitoids that delivered terrigenous material to the sedimentation basin; (2) favorable paleogeographic setting for the formation of both sedimentary and postsedimentary hydrothermal U-rich sequences. The garnets of garnet-peridotite xenoliths that occur in the kimberlites of Southern Africa and the U. S. S. R. are shown to differ significantly in chemical composition. It has been demonstrated that the compositions of garnets of this type depend largely on the compositions of the media in which they grew (Rickwood, Mathias and Siebert, 1968), and thus it is concluded that the Upper Mantle in these two regions differs in chemical composition. Southern Africa is a chromiferous province and the U. S. S. R. is a ferric province.South African U.M.P. Publication No. 15.This paper was commenced whilst I was financed by the C. S. I. R. Provinces of regionally consistent horizontal stress orientations persist throughout the upper crust, and these may contain local areas where horizontal stress (σH) orientations seem to rotate relative to the regional stress orientations in a consistent manner. We suggest that the concept of aninclusion with anisotropy and heterogeneity of mechanical properties may be useful to explain some cases of σH rotations. σH rotations up to 50° and magnitude changes of 40% could reasonably be expected, based on simulations. Patterns correlate well with crustal observations; rotation of σH orientation reaches 25° to 58° in the different cases studied. We also model a strike-slip fault zone as a soft inclusion, showing reorientations of σHmax which agree with observed rotations near the Murre Fault in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, Canada. Results imply that understanding the behaviour of soft and stiff inclusions, or expanding and contracting thermal inclusions for that matter, can help explain a number of geophysical and geological phenomena related to stress patterns.  相似文献

产于陕西岚皋境内、赋存于碱质煌斑杂岩中的金云角 闪 辉石岩捕虏体是交 代地幔捕虏体。微量元素和SrNd同位素的对比研究表明,金云角闪辉石岩型交代地幔是寄 主煌斑岩的源区。金云角闪辉石岩捕虏体富含高Na、Ti的角闪石是本区寄主煌斑岩富Ti, 具 低K/Na值的根本原因。煌斑杂岩的同位素地球化学研究表明,早古生代地幔交代作用相对 于煌斑岩的侵位是一个相对近的时间间隔,大约发生于距今600~700 Ma。寄主煌斑岩 的 原生岩浆是金云角闪辉石岩型地幔经较大程度部分熔融而形成,原生岩浆为相似于橄榄金伯 利岩和橄辉玢岩的碱质超基性煌斑岩浆,其经初步分离结晶后形成两个不同的母岩浆,分别 相当于橄榄金伯利岩浆和橄辉玢岩岩浆,两个母岩浆各自具有不同的分离结晶系列,形成不 同的岩石类型。  相似文献
