The Projective Unified Field Theory having been developed by the author since 1957 is applied to a closed homogeneous isotropic cosmological model. By postulating a (new) conservation law for the scalaric substrate mass (derived from the balance equation of matter and leading to a basically new view on the concept of mass in context with the Mach principle) we obtained a coupled system of differential equations for the world radius and the scalaric world function, which could be treated numerically by Maple. Detailed calculations show that the big bang singularity of the Einstein theory can be avoided. Since the mass density and the temperature of the background radiation exhibit maxima at the same time after the cosmological “big start”, this fact could be of interest for cosmogonic activities. Within the framework of this theory there are hints for an antigravitational world era with repulsive forces after the big start. Furthermore, the balance equations for the energy and the angular momentum of a body as well as the equation of motion of a body (with a series of consequences) are derived. In this context we found a formula for the time dependence of the “effective Newtonian gravitational constant”. Further results refer to certain aspects for understanding the observed rotational curves of cosmic objects within galaxies as well as to the conservation of the number of photons and baryons and their mutual ratio etc. 相似文献

Recently the 5‐dimensional Projective Unified Field Theory (PUFT) of the author (Schmutzer 1995a, Schmutzer 1995b) has been applied to a closed homogeneous isotropic cosmological model with the result of a cosmology without big bang (Schmutzer 1999a, Schmutzer 1999b). Continuing this approach, in this paper following subjects are treated: recalculation of numerical values of cosmological quantities, exact solution of the field equations to a point‐like body, motion of a test body in such a field, definition of the empirical effective gravitational factor (“constant”), Einstein effects compared to the empirical situation, adiabatic approximation of the motion of an orbiting testbody under the influence of the expanding cosmos (transition of the ellipses to circles, decrease of the radius of the orbiting bodies, decrease of the excentricity, increase of the frequency of orbiting objects etc.), heat production in a moving body induced by the cosmological expansion with application to various cosmic objects. 相似文献

Solar activity indices (coronal, chromospheric as well as photospheric) and cosmic ray neutron monitor rates (different cut‐off rigidity) have been used to study 27‐day variations in the years from 1957 to 2004. Daily data were employed for this purpose, analysed by the FFT and wavelet techniques. To work with a continuous data set for the cosmic rays (CR), the ‘Composite Cosmic Ray’ (CCR) set was first created from the observations carried out at different neutron monitor stations. The CCR frequency analysis shows significant 27‐day variations in the intensity of CR, with its amplitude's values very sensitive to the sign of the quantity qA. The most significant 27‐day variations of CR were found not to correlate with those of other solar indices. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献

We experiment with a method of measuring the frequency of solar p modes, intended to extend the passband for the variations of the frequency spectrum as high as possible. So far this passband is limited to a fraction of μ Hz for the classical analysis based on numerical fits of a theoretical line profile to a power spectrum averaged over periods lasting at least several weeks. This limit for the present analysis can be shifted to the mHz range, corresponding to some of the “5 min” oscillations, but in this range we use a lower resolution which allows us to separate odd and even p modes. We show an example of the results for long term variations and apply this analysis to search for a modulation of the p‐mode frequency spectrum by asymptotic series of solar g modes. A faint signal is found in the analysis of 10 years of GOLF data. This very preliminary result possibly indicates the detection of a small number of g modes of degree l = 1. A tentative determination of an observational value of the parameter P0 follows. P0 is the scaling factor of the asymptotic series of g modes and is a key data for solar core physics. Using high cadence, high resolution near infrared (NIR) observations of the X10 white‐light flare (WLF) on 2003 October 29, we investigated the evolution of the core‐halo structure of white‐light emission during the two‐second period flare peak. We found that size and intensity of the halo remained almost constant in the range of 10 Mm2. However, the core area was very compact and expanded rapidly from about 1 Mm2 to 4 Mm2. At the same time, the total emission of the core increased nearly twenty times. This distinct behavior indicates that different heating mechanisms might be responsible for core and halo emissions. In addition to the temporal analysis, we compared the intensity enhancements of the flare core and halo. The result shows that the halo contrast increased by about 8% compared to the flare‐quiet region, which could be explained by a combination of direct‐heating and backwarming models (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves in solar coronal loops, which were previously only predicted by theory have actually been detected with space‐borne instruments. These observations have given an important and novel tool to measure fundamental parameters in the magnetically embedded solar corona. This paper will illustrate how information about the magnetic and density structure along coronal loops can be determined by measuring the frequency or amplitude profiles of standing fast kink mode oscillations. The acoustic cutoff frequency was originally introduced by Lamb in the study of the propagation of acoustic waves in a stratified, isothermal medium. In this paper, we use a new method to generalize Lamb's result for a stratified, non‐isothermal medium and obtain the local acoustic cutoff frequency, which describes the propagation of acoustic waves in such a medium. The main result is that the cutoff frequency is a local quantity and that its value at a given atmospheric height determines the frequency acoustic waves must have in order to propagate at this height. Application of this result to specific physical problems like the solar atmosphere is discussed. (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献

We discuss the pointing and tracking configuration of THEMIS which may be considered as representative of those alt‐azimuthal telescopes with an optical configuration with multiple focal planes, not all locked to both the alt‐azimuthal coordinates. In the THEMIS case two focal planes are present. The primary focus F1 is locked to the alt‐azimuthal mount, while the secondary focus F2 (which is used by the instruments), is only locked to the azimuth angle. The different contributions to the final accuracy of both absolute pointing and tracking as observed at F2 are defined, and an extimation of the contribution of each component of the whole chain which affects the field position at F2 (software, mechanical and optical) is given. The experimental data are the result of a test campaign carried on at THEMIS in February and March 2002. We can say that (a) for all the used observing configurations, the tracking accuracy is coherent at any point along the trajectory with the correspondent absolute pointing accuracy, which is an indication for the quality of the telescope dynamical performances (b) the main contribution to the residual field shift which is observed at F2 arises from the opto‐mechanical alignment configuration of the optics between F1 and F2, which therefore is the crucial point for such multi‐focus configuration. We present first results of three‐dimensional numerical simulations of the non‐magnetic solar chromosphere, computed with the radiation hydrodynamics code CO5BOLD. Acoustic waves which are excited at the top of the convection zone propagate upwards into the chromosphere where the waves steepen into shocks. The interaction of the waves leads to the formation of complex structures which evolve on short time scales. Consequently, the model chromosphere is highly dynamical, inhomogeneous, and thermally bifurcated. 相似文献

On transition region convection cells in simulations of p‐mode propagation into the solar atmosphere
C. Malins 《Astronomische Nachrichten》2007,328(8):752-755
This paper examines the way that transition region surface waves, generated in 2‐D numerical simulations of the nonmagnetic solar atmosphere when various synthetic photospheric drivers are applied, drive the granulation of the transition region/lower coronal region into convection cells. It is shown that these cells are generated by both synthetic point drivers and synthetic horizontally coherent p‐mode drivers. These cells cause the conversion of driven signals in vertical velocity into coronal signals predominantly in horizontal velocity, which if carried over to a case with a magnetic field included could cause mode conversion. The possibility of the excitation of Farley‐Buneman turbulence in the solar atmosphere is examined. It is found that the conditions for the generation of the modified Farley‐Buneman instability can be realized in the chromosphere of the Sun 1000 km above the photosphere. While usual Farley‐Buneman waves studied in relation to the Earth's ionosphere are almost electrostatic, the modified Farley‐Buneman waves in the solar atmosphere are electromagnetic ones. This means, that not only the potential electric field caused by the charge distribution, but also the perturbations of the magnetic field and the circularly‐polarized electric field are essential. Although the physical pictures of usual and modified Farley‐Buneman waves are different, their dispersion equations are almost the same. However, the increment of the modified Farley‐Buneman waves is varied by additional electromagnetic effects. It is demonstrated that electromagnetic effects hinder a Farley‐Buneman instability in occurring while ξ < 1, where ξ is the square of the ratio of ion plasma frequency times ion‐neutral frequency to ion‐cyclotron frequency times wave number times speed of light in vacuum. Under the condition ξ > 1, no Farley‐Buneman disturbances appear at all. In weakly‐ionized solar regions, the modified (ξ < 1) and also the usual (ξ ≪ 1) Farley‐Buneman turbulence could make “electromagnetic” contributions to the process of energy dissipation of nonstationary streams of neutral gases. Besides, they may modify the low‐frequency acoustic noise. It seems that the modified Farley‐Buneman turbulence contributes to the sporadic radiation of the Sun. It is possible, that such an effect takes not only place in the chromosphere of the Sun, but also in the atmospheres of other stars. 相似文献

This investigation presents a new analysis of the spatial distribution of the bright early‐type stars in the field of Northern Monoceros. A database of all O–B9 stars with available uvbyβ photometry is collated and a homogeneous distance scale is established for the clusters and layers of field stars. We provide revised distances for NGC 2264 and NGC 2244 of 833±38 (s.e.) pc and 1585±60 (s.e.) pc, respectively. We present arguments that there might be substructures in the clusters projected along the line of sight. According to the present sample the classical Mon OB2 association at 1.6 kpc is represented by a relatively compact group at 1.26 kpc in the vicinity of NGC 2244 and a layer of massive stars located between 1.5 and 3 kpc (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We present preliminary results from a set of near‐IR integral field spectroscopic observations of the central, star‐burst, regions of the barred spiral galaxy M83, obtained with CIRPASS on Gemini‐S. We present maps in the Paβ and [FeII] 1.257 μm emission lines which appear surprisingly different. We outline the procedure in which we will use Paβ emission line strengths and measures of CO absorption to determine the relative and absolute ages of individual star‐forming knots in the central kpc region of M83. We present new results of heliographic observations of quiet‐Sun radio emission fulfilled by the UTR‐2 radio telescope. The solar corona investigations have been made close to the last solar minimum (Cycle 23) in the late August and early September of 2010 by means of the two‐dimensional heliograph within 16.5–33 MHz. Moreover, the UTR‐2 radio telescope was used also as an 1‐D heliograph for one‐dimensional scanning of the Sun at the beginning of September 2010 as well as in short‐time observational campaigns in April and August of 2012. The average values of integral flux density of the undisturbed Sun continuum emission at different frequencies have been found. Using the data, we have determined the spectral index of quiet‐Sun radio emission in the range 16.5–200 MHz. It is equal to –2.1±0.1. The brightness distribution maps of outer solar corona at frequencies 20.0 MHz and 26.0 MHz have been obtained. The angular sizes of radio Sun were estimated. It is found that the solar corona at these frequencies is stretched‐out along equatorial direction. The coefficient of corona ellipticity varies slightly during above period. Its mean magnitudes are equal to ≈ 0.75 and ≈ 0.73 at 20.0 MHz and 26.0 MHz, respectively. The presented results for continuum emission of solar corona conform with being ones at higher frequencies. Using photometric observations of the Sun as a star (DIFOS, SoHO) we were able to solve the inverse heloiseismic problem and determine the global time‐dependent relative temperature fluctuations as functions of the geometric height. This was done under the adiabatic assumption. A mathematical tool was developed to solve the inverse problem, which is ill‐posed. The calculations were done using the numerical software Matlab 7. The adiabatic solution shows signs of temperature waves in the lower photosphere, which agrees with calculations done by Rodríguez Hidalgo et al. (2001) and Stodilka (2011). This paper discusses some of the challenges of spectro‐polarimetric observations with a large aperture solar telescope such as the ATST or the EST. The observer needs to reach a compromise between spatial and spectral resolution, time cadence, and signal‐to‐noise ratio, as only three of those four parameters can be pushed to the limit. Tunable filters and grating spectrographs provide a natural compromise as the former are more suitable for high‐spatial resolution observations while the latter are a better choice when one needs to work with many wavelengths at full spectral resolution. Given the requirements for the new science targeted by these facilities, it is important that 1) tunable filters have some multi‐wavelength capability; and 2) grating spectrographs have some 2D field of view (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. In this study we discuss variations of the radio emission from the Quiet Sun Areas (QSA) at centimeter wavelength (1.76 cm). Data were obtained from Nobeyama Radioheliograph (NoRH). Oscillations of selected areas were studied carefully from data taken over one week. We try to find quasi‐periodic solar oscillations from the QSA. We used the traditional Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Global Wavelet Spectrum (GWS) and Wavelet (Morlet) for studying signals in the frequency/time‐frequency domain. We used the Fisher randomization test to verify the significance of the observed signal. Instrumental and sky noises were studied using a cross‐correlation analysis. Additionally, a single pixel analysis were done. Wide ranges of solar oscillation periods were found from the Quiet Sun Area (QSA): 3–15, 35–70, and 90 minutes. Some physical explanations are suggested for these oscillations. However, it is not possible to give a conclusive statement about the origin of the long quasi‐periodic (>60 min) oscillations from the QSA (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献

Using two volume‐limited Main galaxy samples of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 6 (SDSS DR6) with the luminosity –20.0 ≤ Mr ≤ –18.5 and –22.40 ≤ Mr ≤–20.16, we have explored the environmental dependence of the fractions of red star‐forming and blue passive galaxies. It is found that the fractions of red star‐forming and blue passive galax‐ies decline mildly with increasing local density in the luminous volume‐limited sample, but in the faint volume‐limited sample these fractions rise slightly with increasing local density except that the fraction of red star‐forming decreases with density in the densest regime. Only according to statistical results of this study, it is difficult to reach the conclusion: there is an environmental dependence for color beyond that for star formation activities or for star formation activities beyond that for color. In this condition, we preferentially believe that star formation activities and color possiblely have equally strong environmental dependence. In the faint volume‐limited sample, we observe that the fraction of star‐forming galaxies‐the density relation has a “critical density” at the projected local density PLD ≈ 1 h–2 Mpc–2: below this density the fraction of star‐forming galaxies is high and nearly constant, while above this density this fraction drops rapidly. Thus, it is possible that in the densest regime of the faint volume‐limited sample, there is an environmental dependence for star formation activities beyond that for color, which leads to the fraction of red star‐forming decreasing with density in the densest regime of the faint volume‐limited sample (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We report on observation and determination of rotational periods of ten weak‐line T Tauri stars in the Cepheus‐Cassiopeia star‐forming region. Observations were carried out with the Cassegrain‐Teleskop‐Kamera (CTK) at University Observatory Jena between 2007 June and 2008 May. The periods obtained range between 0.49 d and 5.7 d, typical for weak‐line and post T Tauri stars (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献
