Groundwater recharge and base flow using different investigated methods are simulated in the 15-ha Bukmoongol small-forested watershed located at the southern part of Korea. The WHAT system, PART, RORA, PULSE, BFI, and RAP software are used to estimate groundwater recharge or base flow and base flow index from the measured streamflow. Results show that about 15–31 per cent of annual rainfall might be contributed for base flow. The watershed groundwater recharge proportions are computed to about 10–21 per cent during the wet period and 23–32 per cent for the remainder periods. Mean annual base flow indices vary from 0.25 to 0.76 estimated using different methods. However, the study found out that all methods were significantly correlated with each other. The similarity of various methods is expressed as a weighted relationship provided by the matrix product from the principal component analysis. Overall, the BFI and WHAT software appeared consistent in estimating recharge or base flow, and base flow index under Korea’s conditions. The case study recommends the application of different models to other watersheds as well as in low-lying areas where most observation groundwater wells are located with available streamflow data.  相似文献

New Prediction Models for Mean Particle Size in Rock Blast Fragmentation   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
The paper refers the reader to a blast data base developed in a previous study. The data base consists of blast design parameters, explosive parameters, modulus of elasticity and in situ block size. A hierarchical cluster analysis was used to separate the blast data into two different groups of similarity based on the intact rock stiffness. The group memberships were confirmed by the discriminant analysis. A part of this blast data was used to train a single-hidden layer back propagation neural network model to predict mean particle size resulting from blast fragmentation for each of the obtained similarity groups. The mean particle size was considered to be a function of seven independent parameters. An extensive analysis was performed to estimate the optimum value for the number of units for the hidden layer for each of the obtained similarity groups. The blast data that were not used for training were used to validate the trained neural network models. For the same two similarity groups, multivariate regression models were also developed to predict mean particle size. Capability of the developed neural network models as well as multivariate regression models was determined by comparing predictions with measured mean particle size values and predictions based on one of the most applied fragmentation prediction models appearing in the blasting literature. Prediction capability of the trained neural network models as well as multivariate regression models was found to be strong and better than the existing most applied fragmentation prediction model. Diversity of the blasts data used is one of the most important aspects of the developed models.  相似文献

A generalized model for predicting the potential of geographic areas for mineral exploration is developed using computers and mathematical techniques. A cellular approach is adopted and each area is divided into cells; the data base is transformed into a computer processable form by digitizing data over each cell. Control cells are selected from a control area by two a priori subjective models using multiple linear regression and filtering techniques. These control cells are used to develop weighting factors for computer-transformed variables. The evaluation and prediction of cells are made using an evaluation model, wherein products of weighting factors and corresponding transformed variables are added to give a probability score for each cell. In the example analysis, 7.76% of cells are selected as predicted cells and checked for mining in the cell areas by comparing them with a mining data base. Of the total predicted cells, 38.13% are classified as first-order prospects and the remaining predicted cells are classified into second- and third-order prospects. The success of the prediction and the open structure of the model implies a successful, generalized model with capabilities of evaluating large areas and predicting the potential in any exploration program.Presented at the Third Decennial International Conference on Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration for Minerals and Groundwater, Sept. 27–Oct 1, 1987, Toronto, Canada.  相似文献

This study presented herein compares the bivariate and multivariate landslide susceptibility mapping methods and presents the landslide susceptibility map of the territory of Western Carpathians in small scale. This study also describes pioneer work for the territory of Western Carpathians, overreaching state borders, using verified sophisticated statistical methods. In the susceptibility mapping, digital elevation model was first constructed using a GIS software, and parameter maps affecting the slope stability such as geology, seismicity, precipitation, topographical elevation, slope angle, slope aspect and land cover were considered. In the last stage of the analyses, landslide susceptibility maps were produced using bivariate and multivariate analyses, and they were then compared by means of their validations. The validation of the bivariate analysis data was performed using the results of bivariate analysis for landslide areas of Slovakia containing five classes of susceptibility in scale 1:500,000. The validation area is the area of Western Carpathians within Slovakia. Eighty-two per cent of area does not differ in more than one class. The validation of the multivariate analysis data was performed using the results from the Kysuce region in the northern part of Slovakia in scale 1:10,000. The raster calculator was used to express the difference between each pair of pixels within these two layers. Seventy-seven per cent of the pixels do not differ in more than 25 %, 94 % of the pixels do not differ in more than 50 %. The maximal possible difference is 100 % (one pixel with value 0 and other with value 1, or vice versa). Receiver operating characteristic analysis was also performed, the area under curve value for bivariate model was calculated to be 0.735, while it was 0.823 for multivariate. The results of the validation can be considered as satisfactory.  相似文献

Sulphur-rich scapolite is described as a primary constituentof several granulite inclusions occurring, along with eclogiticand rare ultrabasic rocks, in the breccia- and basalt-filledpipes of eastern Australia. The wide distribution of such inclusionsin space and time indicates that granulites, some scapolite-bearing,form an important part of the base of the crust of this region. Two inclusions with the assemblage orthopyroxene-clinopyroxene-plagioclase-scapolite,two with the assemblage clinopyroxene-garnet-plagioclase-scapolite,and one with the assemblage orthopyroxene-clinopyroxene-plagioclase,have been analysed and chemical and optical data on the constituentminerals are given. Since it is impossible to adequately separatescapolite from primary and secondary plagioclase, partial analysesof these minerals have been made with an A.R.L. electron probeX-ray microanalyser. From our data and that obtained from the literature, we suggestthat scapolites with more than 10 mol per cent sulphur in theanion group are confined to rocks of the granulite meta-morphicfacies. Within the granulite facies there appears to be a progressiveincrease in the sulphur content of scapolite in equilibriumwith such sulphur-rich minerals as pyrrhotite, with increasingmetamorphic grade.  相似文献

运用最优化方法,选取北京市新一代天气雷达2007年4场降雨的基数据资料与对应的雨量计资料进行Z-R关系研究,对不同类型的降雨和不同距离范围的雷达估测点分别优化.结果表明:运用优化后的Z-R关系估测降水量的误差要比缺省的Z-R关系式直接计算出降水量的误差小得多;层状云降水的估测结果优于对流云降水的估测:距离雷达站较近的地区其估测结果优于较远的地区.  相似文献

The concept of the wave-graded continental shelf, with sea floor sediment coarsening from offshore mud to shoreface sand, has been well known from the time of Johnson (1919) . Although most of the modern shelf shows textures unrelated to water depth on account of relict features or sediment starvation, the geological record is more likely to preserve sites where sediment is being fed to a subsiding inner-shelf. These consistently show the landward-coarsening pattern of the wave-graded shelf, recording past water depth history in accumulated sea floor sediment. The landward-coarsening pattern is driven primarily by wave-induced bed shear stress, which increases shoreward exponentially, although it also varies from place to place with wave climate, and can be influenced by sediment concentration and currents. In this study, the relationship between bed shear stress, sediment texture and water depth has been investigated by comparing per cent mud and wave climate data from shore-normal transects of three modern wave-graded coastal settings: Wellington Harbour (low energy) and the Manawatu coast (moderate energy) in New Zealand, and Monterey Bay in California (moderate–high energy). Samples from all three locations show a progressive change from poorly sorted mud offshore to well-sorted fine sand nearshore, with the sand–mud transition ranging from 3 m (low energy) to 50 m (moderate–high energy), reflecting differences in average bed shear. Repeat measurements of per cent mud on seasonal, annual and decadal time scales along a Manawatu coastal transect showed no measurable change, demonstrating equilibrium between sediment supply, wave energy, water depth and sediment texture. A simple model based on the relationship between wave climate, shear stress and per cent mud, and using data and conditions from the modern Manawatu coast, is applied to two mid-Pliocene cyclothems exposed 50 km inland, giving results comparable with estimates from foraminifera and the deep-sea isotope record. Per cent mud offers more detail for palaeobathymetric trends in shallow water shelf strata than other proxy depth recorders, although it is limited to depths above wave base and requires an independent estimate of wave climate if depths are to be quantified.  相似文献

Multivariate statistical procedures are applied to pisolitic laterite geochemistry in a study of the Golden Grove massive sulphide district. The objective is to optimize identification of geochemical anomalies caused by base metal mineral deposits.The statistical approach used in this paper depends upon geochemical data for appropriate reference groups (or training sets) being available. The target group consists of orientation data from pisolitic laterite about the Gossan Hill Cu-Zn massive sulphide deposit. A group representing background sequence was selected by combining three subareas in a geochemically quiet part of the prospective acid volcano-sedimentary sequence.A multi-element allocation procedure was set up using data from the reference groups. The exploration samples are then allocated, one sample at a time, to either one of the reference group categories, using the probability of group membership. A map showing the relative probability values for each sample site is the final product for interpretation, aided by ancillary use of an index of typicality.The allocation procedures were carried out using different element combinations, these being based on a procedure for subset selection to give maximum separation of reference groups, and on geochemical insight. Whilst many versions of the allocation procedure gave positive identification of the anomaly related to the blind Scuddles Cu-Zn deposit, allocation using only Cu, Pb, Zn and Ag did not. The results emphasize the importance of pathfinder elements in geochemical studies in weathered terrain.The allocation procedure using the most appropriate element combinations provided more positive identification of the main areas of known mineralization than had the previously used empirically derived methods of Smith and Perdrix (1983). The formal allocation procedure has the following additional advantages: results are not markedly affected by a very high value for any single element since robust procedures are incorporated into the analysis; better discrimination appears to be possible for weaker anomalies; separation of target from background can be optimized by formal calculations instead of by trial and error; and better suppression of background variation results.  相似文献

以往发表的年代地层数据都是以Ma形式出现,以关键物种的首现面和末现面来界定的。一般而言,这些年龄是在用某种方法确定的某两个层的年龄基础上通过插值获得的,很大程度上仍然是估计值,而不是可以检验的科学结论。我们需要的是一个可以评价的、剖面重现的、标本重现的而且插值方法是经过严格检验的数据库。图形对比技术正是一个有用的方法,它可以综合众多剖面的分散分布的事件,并可以验证这些事件的顺序和年代。图形对比技术是一个定量的、非统计的方法,可以判别两个剖面之间存在的同时代关系。物种时限和非生物事件投点到X/Y图解上,时限可以通过对比线综合到单个的时间尺度上。其他剖面的数据通过重复以上过程把每个剖面的数据综合进来。获得的时限通过评价有这些物种出现的图形解而得到验证。Aptian阶(约124~112 Ma)时期环境发生巨大变化,用来确定Aptian阶的许多关键生物事件和年代地层事件并不都出现在同一个剖面。因此,这些事件的相对年龄始终是不确定的,也不是相关的。两个事件被提出来用于界定Aptian 阶的底界,包括菊石Deshayesites tuarkyricus 和磁极性带CM0。然而这两个事件标准地层剖面相隔600 km。图形对比显示这两次事件出现在7 万年间隔内。通过这一方法,来自23 条Barremian Aptian Albian  相似文献

A lithogeochemical study was undertaken of the Millstream potash deposit, New Brunswick, Canada, a marine evaporite deposit with a complex depositional and tectonic history. The objective of the study was to determine if potash intersections in boreholes represent different geological horizons, or the same stratum repeated by folding or faulting. The deposit is found at a depth of 800–1000 m.Water-soluble and -insoluble fractions of drill core from five ore zones in four holes were analyzed using multielement ICP instrumentation following sequential hot water and aqua regia leaches. Meaningful variations in the data for the different ore zones were evident for eight elements in the water-soluble portion, and for seventeen elements in the water-insoluble residue. These results characterize a lowermost sylvinite unit which is relatively depleted in most elements, with the exception of Mg and Al in the residue. Regression analysis indicates a weak correlation between Fe and the common base metals, in contrast to the immediately overlying sylvinite unit which is relatively enriched in most elements, including Fe, but where Fe apparently exerts no control over the base metals. Cluster analysis confirms these two units are easily distinguished from each other. The upper two ore horizons are distinguishable from the lower units on the basis of different abundances of some elements, such as water-soluble B, and on the strong scavenging abilities of Fe on the common base metals.No single element is able to uniquely fingerprint a particular sylvinite horizon, but suites of elements are able to classify each horizon as geochemically distinctive. Seventeen trace elements (Ag, Au, Bi, Br, Cd, Cs, Ge, In, Ir, Rb, Re, Sb, Se, Te, Tl, U and Zn) were measured by neutron activation analysis in 8 C1 samples (1 Alais, 3 Ivuna, 4 Orgueil) and in 3 C2 samples (one each of Mighei, Murchison, Murray). The results show far less scatter than earlier literature data. The standard deviation of a single measurement from the mean of 8 C1 samples lies between 2 and 14 per cent, except for the following 4 elements: Au ±18 per cent, Ag ±22 per cent, Rb ±19 per cent and Br ±33 per cent. The first two probably reflect contamination and sample heterogeneity, the last two, analytical error. Apparently C1 chondrites have a far more uniform composition than some authors have claimed.The new data suggest significant revisions in cosmic abundance for the following elements (old values in parentheses): Zn 1250 (1500), Cd 1.51 (2.12), Ir 0.72 (0.43) atoms/106 Si atoms. The Br value is also lower, 6.8 vs 20.6, but may be affected by analytical error.Relative to C1 chondrites, the C2 chondrites Mighei, Murchison and Murray are depleted in volatile elements by a factor of 0.508 ± 0.038, much more constant than indicated by oldor data. Ordinary chondrites also show a more uniform depletion relative to the new C1 data. The mean depletion factor of Sb, F, Cu, Ga, Ge, Sn, S, Se, Te and Ag is 0.227 ± 0.027 in H-chondrites. This constancy further strengthens the case for the two-component model of chondrite formation.  相似文献

The Eaton ‘meteorite’ contains roughly 66 per cent Cu, 33 per cent Zn and <0.1 per cent Ni. In contrast, native Cu from other meteorites contains >90 per cent Cu, <5 per cent Zn and in those samples in which it could be measured, 0.4–2.4 per cent Ni. The major phases and inclusions of Eaton closely resemble those in commercial yellow brass. Eaton contains α and β Cu-Zn, small Pb inclusions around the Cu-Zn crystals and larger Ca aluminosilicate inclusions similar to those from sand casting molds. Based on these data Eaton does not appear to be a meteorite.Both meteoritic and terrestrial native copper are striking for their relatively high purity. Meteoritic Cu appears to be distinguishable from terrestrial material by its higher Ni contents.  相似文献

Permian and post-Permian igneous rocks of the southern Sydney Basin of New South Wales can be distinguished on the basis of major-element geochemistry. A data base of 102 analyses of these igneous rocks has been used to evaluate the effectiveness of various discriminants based on univariate and multivariate analysis. Inspection of histograms of compositional frequency for each major-element oxide is an efficient method of univariate analysis and assigns up to 92.2% of the rocks to the correct age group. Discriminant function analysis using up to 10 variables does not produce a more efficient discriminant than the simple binary plot of SiO 2 versus TiO 2,which assigns 95.1% of the rocks to the correct age group. No other binary or ternary diagram commonly used in petrology produces such an efficient discriminator.  相似文献

Multivariate Analysis of an LA-ICP-MS Trace Element Dataset for Pyrite   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Application of multivariate statistics to trace element datasets is reviewed using 164 multi-element LA-ICP-MS spot analyses of pyrite from the Moonlight epithermal gold prospect, Queensland, Australia. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) is used to demonstrate that classification of pyrite on morphological and other non-numeric factors is geochemically valid. Parallel coordinate plots and correlation cluster analysis using Spearman??s coefficients are used to discover unexpected elemental relationships without making assumptions a priori. Finally, principal component analysis and factor analysis are used to demonstrate the presence of sub-classes of pyrite. Corroborated with geological data, statistical analysis provides evidence for successive generations of hydrothermal fluids, each introducing specific metals, and for partial or complete replacement of different minerals. The data permit reinterpretation of Moonlight as a telescoped system where epithermal-Au (± base metals) is superposed onto early porphyry-Mo mineralization.  相似文献

Trace element contents for pyrite from a range of sulfide mineral occurrences in the Kangiara region, eastern Australia, illustrate two main groups of pyrite. The first group, with higher Ag, Cu, Pb and Mo contents, corresponds to samples from sulfide base metal deposits and the second group, with higher Mn, Ti and Ni contents, contains samples from skarn mineralization, volcanic rocks and quartz veins. The model proposed for the development of pyrite in the Kangiara region is that the first group was formed from base metal-bearing solutions, while the second group reflects diagenetic pyrite and metamorphic pyrite. Thus, the pyrite trace element chemistry may provide a means of distinguishing types of mineral occurrences, in particular, those containing significant base metal mineralization.  相似文献

由压力传感器、温度传感器、流量传感器、单片机和计算机共同组成投入式水位检测系统。在抽水试验过程中,单片机自动化采集各传感器传输来的数据,并根据压力传感器测得的压力数据运用水静力学基本方程式计算出动态水位;利用超声波流量计和热电偶一体化温度变送器测得瞬时流量和水温的变化情况;测试全过程实现了自动化动态采集试验数据,达到无人值守的目的。投入式水位检测系统克服了以往采取的响钟法等方法的操作繁琐、劳动强度大、测量误差大等缺欠,解决了大降深抽水试验水位监测的难题,使得几个人就可完成群井抽水试验,形成水位、流量和水温变化的数据库。现场应用表明,该系统测量精度高,运行状态良好,有一定的发展前景。  相似文献

China suffers frequent and severe floods. A lot of studies have been done in the field of flood disaster, including flood vulnerability assessment. This paper develops assessment models of multidimensional flood vulnerability based on the data envelopment analysis method and identifies multidimensional flood vulnerability??population, death, agriculture and economy??at the provincial scale in China using flood damage data and socioeconomic statistical data from 2001 to 2010. Based on the characteristics of multidimensional flood vulnerability of each province, some suggestions for flood prevention and mitigation are suggested. The assessment models of multidimensional flood vulnerability are simple and can be used for vulnerability analysis of natural disaster at regional or national levels. The assessment of multidimensional flood vulnerability can provide multifaceted information that contributes to a deeper understanding of the flood vulnerability and provides a scientific base for the policy making and implementation of flood prevention and mitigation designs.  相似文献

The mode of the Kiglapait intrusion carries 73 per cent feldspar,but average rocks near the base of the Upper Zone contain aslittle as 48 per cent feldspar. Olivine remained stable throughoutthe crystallization, but was locally suppressed by abundantcrystallization of augite and titano-magnetite. Red biotiteoccurs as rims on Fe–Ti oxide minerals and is probablyfluorine oxybiotite; its frequently similar occurrence in troctoliticrocks may, perversely, indicate dry magmas rather than dampones. Excluded modal components follow Rayleigh fractionation behaviour;their presence in trace amount permits estimation of residualporosity in the Lower Zone. This porosity diminishes directlywith accumulation rate from 0.14 to 0.03 over the first 80 percent of crystallization history. The saturation ratio of excludedmodal components is a well-behaved function of fraction solidified,and implies that the decrease in porosity continues above the80 per cent solidified level. The saturation ratio links withbulk composition, porosity, and FL, allowing one of these parametersto be estimated from the others. The cumulus arrival of apatite is abrupt, but the earlier arrivalsof augite, oxide minerals, and sulfide each occur over an interval,followed by an interval of overproduction. This behaviour isattributed to feedback on concentration gradients generatedby a long history of plagioclase + olivine extraction, in theabsence of perfect stirring. Diffusion plays a role in the differentiationof large, slowly cooled magma systems because radial mixingby convection is inefficient. Inherited potential supersaturationis the inevitable result. This leads to modal irregularities,and to crystallization effectively on metastable extensionsof field boundaries. The track of the liquid in the Lower Zone is closely parallelto that in the system Fo–Di–An, but offset fromit by the combined effects of Ab and P (toward plagioclase)and Fa (away from plagioclase). The latter effect is important,with the result that the shedding of plagioclase by an ascendingmagma will be much less marked than predicted from iron-freeexperimental systems.  相似文献
