A new method of interpretation of the QC hysteresis (discharge–salinity) during high water is proposed using the data recorded on coastal brackish karstic springs with salinity inversely proportional to the discharge. The method, based on the QmerCT (seawater discharge–salinity) hysteresis, identifies the effect of the hydrodynamic changes on the flow and transport. Three phenomena are characterized: the emptying of the karstic conduit, the dilution by freshwater and the control of the seawater intrusion in the conduit by the hydraulic head variations. L’étude des Schistes lustrés du transect alpin de la Vanoise a permi de préciser les modalités et la chronologie des événements tectoniques précoces enregistrés dans les Alpes occidentales et ainsi de souligner (|ue l’évolution alpine crétacé-tertiaire ne peut s’interpréter comme un simple continuum de déformations compressives. Doivent être distinguées trois étapes majeures : (1 ) un stade précoce crétacé « moyen » à supérieur responsable de l’enfouissement profond d’unités de la marge nord-léthysicnne et de la fermeture du domaine océanique téthysien alpin. Cet événement se matérialise notamment par des enregistrements tectono-sédimentaires (flyschs à blocs d’ophiolilcs) pendant lu fermeture et aboutit à l’enfouissement d’unités océaniques durant le Sénonien dans des conditions de haute pression. Cet événement se corrèle avec la rotation intra-erétaeé supérieur de l’lbérie ; (2 ) un stade maas-trichtien-paléocène durant lequel aucune évidence de déformations compressives n’est connu, mais durant lequel, en revanche, on enregistre des manifestations de magmutisme de type intraplaque caractérisant une tectonique extensive et/ou décrochante. C’est durant cette période que l’on assiste à la suhsidence du bassin des flyschs à Ilelminthoïdes et que, conjointement, l’on enregistre les vitesses de surreetion les plus fortes des roches HP-UT métamorphisées durant le Crétacé supérieur; (3) un stade éocène à actuel, responsable de l’édification et de la déformation de l’édifice actuel se corré-lant avec la forte convergence Europe-Afrique qui s’enregistre depuis l’Eocène (collision tertiaire).  相似文献

Résumé L'exploitation récente d'un gisement de bauxite près de Mégare (Grèce) a fait apparaître sur les calcaires de base une concentration verte d'oxyde de nickel relativement élevée. La présence dans le gisement d'argiles rouges, renfermant de fortes proportions d'oxyde de fer avec des teneurs relativement faibles en alumine et des traces d'oxyde de nickel, induit à penser qu'il s'agit d'un produit latéritique dérivé d'une roche ultrabasique et transporté ultérieurement sur la région calcaire karstifiée avec ses remplissages bauxitiques. L'étude se termine par une hypothèse sur la genèse de ce gîte singulier.
The recent mining of a bauxite deposit near Megara (Greece) has shown on the footwall limestone a relatively high concentration of a green nickel oxide. The occurrence in the same deposit of red clays with a rather high percentage of iron oxide and a low content of alumina, together with some traces of nickel, induces to think that this material is composed of a lateritic soil derived from an ultrabasic rock and subsequently transported on karstified limestone with its bauxitic fillings. — The study ends with an hypothesis on the genesis of this unusual deposit.

Waters from Wadi Aggai display a magnesian bicarbonate chemical facies, related to a dominantly dolomitic basement. Large travertine deposition occurred during the humid episodes of the Plio-Quaternary. Current travertine deposition is strongly reduced, the only functional sites being located in the upper parts of the watershed. This is due to the general climatic trend towards aridity and, more importantly, the environmental disequilibrium due to human impact. Such an impact is inferred from changes in water quality, due to deforestation and resulting soil erosion, disposal of sewage and waste materials, and use of fertilisers.  相似文献

Paléocène-Early Eocene phosphate outcrop in the Ras-Draâ deposit (Tunisia) comprises alternances of P-rich strata (P2O5 ≥ 18%) and P-poor ones (P2O5 ≤ 2%). In phosphate rich strata, P is concentrated in rounded grains—so-called pellets—(28% ≤ P2O5 ≤ 38%) embedded in a matrix—so-called exogangue—much poorer in P (P2O5 # 7%) than pellets. The study of pellets (whose size lies mainly between 100 and 500 μm), of their surrounding matrix and of poorly phosphatic sediments, interlayered between the phosphatic strata, has been performed by optical microscopy and various chemical analyses, ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectroscopy) and punctual chemical analyses by EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy). Mineralogical and chemical studies of the Tunisian phosphatic pellets show that the basic mineralogical component of these grains is carbonate-fluor-apatite, or francolite. The structural formula of a representative specimen of francolite in the basin is as follows: (Ca4.63Mg0.13Na0.22)(PO4)2.51(CO3)0.48(OH0.77F0.23). The mineralogy of the constituents of the sediment surrounding pellets comprises carbonates, clays, silica (opal, quartz). Microscopic observations of Ras-Draâ phosphorites, added to geochemical results, establish that pellets are small bodies, allochtonous to their matrix and whose composition is independent of that of this matrix. Fecal cylindrical bodies and subspherical pellets, the latest being supposed to proceed from the fecal bodies by fragmentation, are considered to have been formed by fishes, as P-rich and organic matter-rich faeces. These faeces turn out to be resistant to mechanical dispersion and to chemical diffusion of soluble elements from and in direction of sea water. This closeness is responsible for the strong reducing conditions having prevailed inside and during the pellets diagenesis.  相似文献

Isotopic measurements in polar ice core have shown a succession of rapid warming periods during the last glacial period over Greenland. However, this method underestimates the surface temperature variations. A new method based on gas thermal diffusion in the firn manages to quantify surface temperature variations through associated isotopic fractionations. We developed a method to extract air from the ice and to perform isotopic measurements to reduce analytical uncertainties to 0.006 and 0.020 for δ15N and δ40Ar. The measurement of the horizontal component, H, of the geomagnetic field represents an important part of geomagneticians work from 1830 to the end of the 19th century. This measurement remained difficult at the required accuracy of 10?9T (1 nT or 1γ), till the advent of proton and optical pumping magnetometers in geomagnetic observatories, around 1955. The measurement of H consisted in determining the mutual torque between two cylindrical magnets, by measuring either oscillation periods or angular deviations. Poisson was the first, indisputably, to propose the general principle of the measurement, in 1825. But Gauss, some years later (1832), successfully operated his famous oscillation–deviation method, described since then in all the elementary manuals of physics. The computation of the mutual torque depends on the tri-dimensional distribution of the magnetization in each one of the magnets. In the absence of an accurate-enough knowledge of these distributions, Poisson, Gauss, and their successors showed how to make the computations with a minimum number of hypotheses on them. Nevertheless physicists, in particular French ones, worked on the ‘distribution of magnetism’ in magnets; the first of them was Coulomb. The frequency analysis of many log data permits to verify that their stochastic component show ‘power-law-type’ spectral densities, characteristic of 1/f noise. They can be modelled by fractional Brownian motions. Continuous Wavelet Transformation (CWT) provides us with very efficient methods to determine the local spectral exponents of these scaling laws. These new attributes are related to the local fractality of these signals. We first present some theoretical results and an application to a fractional Brownian motion. The second application concerns a dataset recorded in the MAR203 borehole. We show that clustering of these new pseudo-logs leads to a good resolution between different lithofacies. Analysis of landscapes and soil covers from the outer to the inner part of a 75km×60km watershed in the South-Cameroon rainforest zone, characterized by important remnants of inherited ferricretes and stable hydrostatic base levels, indicates that the development of present landforms has not involved significant erosion by slope retreat because of the relative preservation of downslope residual ferricrete and that soil covers have vertically decayed under in situ geochemical process. Dans le Sud de la France et les Pyrénées espagnoles, les calcaires sous-jacents aux roches détritiques du Culm carbonifère ont fait l’objet d’une datation systématique par conodontes. Il en ressort que le dépôt de ces niveaux carbonates s’est poursuivi de plus en plus tardivement de l’Est vers l’Ouest : du Viséen inférieur (V3b) en Montagne Noire, au Namurien supérieur (G2) en Pays basque.

Les roches détritiques à caractère flyschoïde du Culm remanient, localement, des éléments de calcaire de plate-forme. La datation de ces éléments par foraminifères, algues, pseudo-algues et végétaux supérieurs montre qu’ils sont de plus en plus récents d’Est en Ouest : leur âge s’échelonne du Viséen 3bp-Namurien A en Montagne Noire, au Westphalien C (Kachirien) au Pays basque (Massif des Cinco-Villas).

Ces divers résultats montrent que les manifestations tectoniques, responsables des premiers épandages détritiques du Culm puis de la resédimentation des calcaires de plate-forme dans le bassin, ont commencé de plus en plus tardivement de la Montagne Noire au Pays basque.

Dans sa branche Sud, l’orogenèse varisque, si l’on s’en tient à la position actuelle de ses segments observables, a migré progressivement du Nord vers le Sud, en Montagne Noire et dans le Massif de Mouthoumet, puis vers l’Ouest, des Pyrénées centrales aux Pyrénées orientales.  相似文献

The study of the often polygenic Tertiary sands of southern Ardennes allows the local evolution of the drainage pattern during the Paleogene and the Neogene to be traced. The history of these sands starts with a strong Eocene weathering and the formation of a deep ferruginized quartzose saprolite. Some fossilized outcrops remain unchanged: the outcrop of Régniowez is interpreted as a thick colluvium on which a ferruginous pedogenesis took place during the Eocene, resulting in an allothigenous cuirasse protecting the sands from erosion. Others undergo a complex evolution: the outcrop of Doische represents the rehandling of the same kind of Eocene sands, first in a marine Oligocene environment, then by continental Miocene streams. In that case, nevertheless, the heavy minerals assemblage shows the link with the almost in situ sands such as those of Régniowez, and therefore the local origin of the material. The lack of allogenic heavy minerals (characteristic of the Meuse lorraine) in the fluvial sands of the Ardennes plateau prior to the Traînée mosane (attributed to the Middle Miocene) confirms the Miocene capture of the Meuse lorraine, flowing westward so far, between the Paleozoic basement and the Sormonne valley, as assumed by Pissart in the early sixties. On the other hand, as the topographic glacis between the Ardennes and the Paris Basin was still active during the Stampian, the drainage pattern of the Meuse lorraine before the capture is post-Oligocene.  相似文献

Lower Carboniferous deposits from Eastern Morocco are located in small depressions within a more or less mountainous Jurassic area. Sections from Tafechna, Flouch and Oued Korima (Debdou and Mekam basins, Eastern Morocco) are accurately described. Owing to detailed field examination, misinterpreted lithological aspects are corrected, i.e. volcano-sedimentary deposits are very important and carbonate deposits almost absent.Debdou yields alternations of blackish shales and sandstones with intercalations of tuffites overlain by volcanoclastic or calcareous sandstones, whose turbiditic origin is indicated by graded-bedding and scour casts, and also by reworked oolites and Foraminifera. Mekam shows slumped limestones and conglomerates with basement pebbles, cemented by carbonates, and with some reworked Foraminifera, overlain by alternations of greenish shales, tuffaceous siltstones and ashes.The stratigraphical background of these sections is also explicited or modified. Existence of Tournaisian beds is excluded. Assemblages of Foraminifera are always uppermost Visean or lowermost Serpukhovian in age. New palynological data agree with this fact; so do former Goniatites datings.These series are paralleled with the well-known series of the area: Jerada, Tazekka, Northern Olistostrome (including Jorf Ouazzene, Zekkara and Tannecherfi outcrops). These comparisons concern at the same time the biostratigraphy, the environments, the volcanism, etc. The Uppermost Visean We stratigraphy of Jerada is established as well as the Serpukhovian E1-E2 stratigraphy from Tazekka and Northern Olistostrome, where V3c remains are reworked.Importance of Brigantian (V3c) substage is emphasized at the regional scale, it is the maximal transgression time upon the Devonian epimetamorphic substrate; transgression probably begun in the Upper Asbian (V3b).Knowledge of Serpukhovian (= Namurian A) within the various basins needs new investigations. This stage is still characterized locally by a volcanic activity and important tectono-sedimentary movements. Other periods of Namurian-Westphalian are only known at present within the Jerada basin.Accurate datings, especially during the We, prove the diversity of paleoenvironments and their close juxtaposition: volcanoes, marshes, hills, carbonate platforms, paleocanyons, etc. This landscape seems to be divided into compartments by N30 and N70 faults producing horst and graben structures, which could also be strike-slip faults.

La question de la capture de la Meuse lorraine est abordée par le biais de l’étude des sables tertiaires qui jalonnent les plateaux de l’Ardenne méridionale. Toujours polygéniques, ces sables ont une histoire plus ou moins longue qui débute à l’Éocène où l’altération poussée du socle produit un épais manteau sableux. Certains gisements in situ fossilisés sont restés quasiment intacts (Régniowez) tandis que d’autres (Doisches) portent la marque de remaniements successifs (marins et/ou continentaux) qui se suivent jusqu’au Miocène sans que leur filiation avec le matériau d’origine, attestée par la nature de leurs barylites, ne se perde. Comme les sables fluviatiles miocènes (in fine) du plateau ardennais ne portent pas la signature minéralogique d’une Meuse lorraine, à l’inverse de la Traînée mosane (datée du Miocène moyen), la capture se trouve à la fois confirmée et datée. L’ancien réseau de la Meuse lorraine, quant à lui, n’a pu se mettre en place qu’après l’Oligocène, époque à laquelle un glacis incliné de l’Ardenne vers le Bassin parisien fonctionnait encore. © 2000 Éditions scientifiques et médicales Elsevier SAS  相似文献

Our interest is related to the hydrological characteristics of the Moulay Bousselham lagoon. Water samples were taken monthly from July 2001 to June 2002 in 15 stations distributed along the lagoon. The various measured hydrological parameters (temperature, salinity, suspended matter, chlorophyll a) showed significant monthly variations (p<0.001), whereas spatially among all sampled stations, only the salinity showed significant variations. The variability analysis approached by the analysis of the normalized principal components combined with discriminate analysis showed very small inter-stations variability. Acoustic P and S wave propagation in the argillaceous sediments is related to the media porosity as well as on clay-mineral composition. The propagation-velocity prediction of these waves thus requires knowledge of these two parameters and their impact on the velocities. Porosity decreasing with effective pressure increasing, due to the burial, follows an exponential law. We will limit our analysis to the three clays: kaolinite, illite and montmorillonite. The variations of porosity between various clays are strongly reduced with the increase in effective pressure, which tends to minimize the impact of mineralogy with the burial. By integrating these equations in a model of Reuss and Voigt, in which we consider an association mineral argillaceous/fluid, we extract a law of evolution for bulk and shear moduli of clay according to the pressure, for each type of clay. By associating clay moduli calculation results to qualitative and quantitative predictions from spectral nuclear-radiations tools and X-ray-diffraction measurements on cores, it is possible to predict sonic velocities in clays with a given effective pressure. An example of P and S velocity modelling is presented on a well in the deep offshore-turbiditic environment.  相似文献

Les failles naturelles correspondent à des zones d’une certaine largeur, composées de fractures élémentaires en échelons. Plusieurs exemples de zones de failles, d’échelles très diverses, permettent de montrer que ces fractures élémentaires forment selon les cas différents types d’associations que l’on cherche à relier aux conditions mécaniques de formation de la zone de discontinuité.

Pour cela on réalise des modèles analogiques de zones de faille par cisaillement direct sur des argiles en faisant varier la contrainte normale, la teneur en eau et la vitesse de sollicitation.

On montre ainsi que l’accroissement de la contrainte normale à la zone de discontinuité qui se traduit par des fractures élémentaires correspondant à un comportement de plus en plus pseudo-plastique fait diminuer l’emprise de la zone et la longueur des fractures mais accroît leur nombre. Lorsque le matériau n’est pas saturé l’augmentation de la teneur en fluides a, sur la fracturation élémentaire un effet de même sens que celui de l’accroissement de a». The southern termination of the left-lateral ‘Moyenne Durance’ Fault (FMD) consists in several segments, some being connected to WSW-trending south-verging reverse faults. To the south, the Aix fault is reactivated in a post-Oligocene strike-slip movement showing that these two faults might belong to the same system. This system seems to transfer, in turn, slip to the east-trending, south-verging Trévaresse reverse fault, allowing southward propagation of the Alpine deformation front in western Provence. Fault kinematics analysis shows lateral stress field change between the two faults. Strike-slip stress state is characterized by an average N150°E trending σ1 near the FMD termination, whilst strike-slip and reverse faulting stress states show north-trending σ1 to the south.
