近数十年来,自然科学技术的发展,使地质学发生了质的变革,“板块构造”概念的产生,是这种变革的标志之一.作为板块构造学说的基础资料是洋盆中的新构造运动的表现,特别是洋盆中海洋中脊的新构造运动的表现,其中包括反映新构造运动的地形、火山、新断裂及穹曲、地热、地震、地磁、重力测定资料等等。所以,地震学的科学技术革命,包括着新构造运动研究的科学技术革命. 构造运动是存在于地壳以及地球深部应力作用的反映。构造运动在空间方面具有全球性和地区性,在时间方面具有连续性和阶段性,在起源方面具有多成因性,在规模方面具有等级性,在与以前构造运动的关系方面具有继承性和新生性,构造运动的这些一般规律性,同样适用于新第三纪—第四纪时期内的构造运动.但在新第三纪—第四纪时期内,这些一般规律性具有自己的特点。研究新第三纪—第四纪时期内的构造运动的学问,叫做新构造运动学。新构造运动学的任务,就在于研究构造运动的一般规律性在这一时期的特点. 新第三纪—第四纪是一个全球范围内剧烈构造运动时期.在这一时期内,又可以分出渐新世末、中新世初、晚上新世、更新世、全新世等构造运动加剧时期以及介于它们之间的相对宁静时期.构造运动加剧时期较短,而宁静时期是相对漫长的. 近20~30年来,地质科学通过一些大的国际计划进行研究,新构造运动学的研究在其中起着重要的作用.新构造运动学在这些研究计划中,也得到了迅速的发展.新构造运动学的研究领域大大拓宽,研究方法大大改善,理论水平迅速提高,实践应用范围日益扩大,并且,还产生了新构造运动学的一些分支. 未来新构造运动学的研究,主要将围绕着地震预测、自然环境保护、地壳和岩圈以及地幔的地球动力学问题进行.在这些问题的研究中,还将出现一些新的与新构造运动有关的问题. 相似文献

第十三届国际大会于1990年8月26日至31日在英国诺丁汉市的诺丁汉大学召开.与会人数约1200人,论文摘要876篇,内容十分广泛而丰富.从已发表的论文和展板内容来看,层序地层学和储层沉积学是最引人注目的二个研究方向,并取得较大的或突破性的进展.层序地层学是近些年来在地震地层学基础上发展起来的一门新的学科.它是以地震、钻井、地表露头或岩心资料为基础,研究海平面升降变化、构造沉降和沉积物供给;对盆地的“沉积构型”或“地层型式”进行综合解释;研究不同时期的沉积体系域(如低水位体系域、海侵体系域和高水位体系域)及其生储盖组合和分布,层序地层学的发展对盆地分析、岩相古地理研究、年代地层学和油气勘探具有重要的理论和实践意义. 相似文献
