A method for inverting electromagnetic fields induced by a line source in an earth of two-dimensional conductivity structure is developed. Certain unique features of the finite element method are used to construct an efficient algorithm for the accurate calculation of the Jacobian matrix of partial derivatives, and the resulting linearized equations are solved using the damped least squares method. Case studies of theoretical data generated from a simple model of interest in geophysical prospecting show that, in general, it is impossible to obtain, from surface data alone, accurate estimates of the conductivity of structures buried deeper than 0.2 skin depths under a conducting overburden. The addition of borehole data to the surface data is found to increase the resolving power of the electromagnetic method dramatically. In particular, the borehole data appear to stabilize the inverse when only a poor initial estimate of the likely structure is given.  相似文献

Analyses of the POGO satellite magnetometer data have demonstrated the basic utility of such measurements to solid earth studies and provided the basis for Magsat, a new satellite specifically designed for such studies. Such data can play a useful role in the compilation, reduction, and analysis of magnetic survey data, especially at regional scales, and are complementary to those obtained in such surveys. However, the reduction and interpretation techniques for satellite magnetometer measurements differ significantly from the techniques routinely applied to conventional data. Although the unequal spacing, in three dimensions, of the satellite data and the variation in the direction and intensity of the main geomagnetic field pose some interpretation problems, these problems can be suitably handled by using modifications of several standard techniques. The variation in altitude of the satellite measurements can also be used to advantage in some analyses.  相似文献

通过对高温超导磁强计的不断完善,研制出了适合在瞬变电磁法中使用的高温超导磁强计,实现了在瞬变电磁法中直接测量磁场的目的.同时开展了瞬变电磁法感应磁场的数据处理与解释技术研究,开发了瞬变电磁法感应磁场的电性成像软件,可以对使用高温超导磁强计作传感器测得的瞬变电磁感应磁场数据进行处理与电性成像.野外实验表明:高温超导磁强计工作稳定,在瞬变电磁法中使用高温超导磁强计比使用感应线圈做传感器提高了勘探深度.  相似文献

To facilitate geologic interpretation of satellite elevation potential field data, analysis techniques are developed and verified in the spherical domain that are commensurate with conventional flat earth methods of potential field interpretation. A powerful approach to the spherical earth problem relates potential field anomalies to a distribution of equivalent point sources by least squares matrix inversion. Linear transformations of the equivalent source field lead to corresponding geoidal anomalies, pseudo-anomalies, vector anomaly components, spatial derivatives, continuations, and differential magnetic pole reductions. A number of examples using 1°-averaged surface free-air gravity anomalies and POGO satellite magnetometer data for the United States, Mexico and Central America illustrate the capabilities of the method.  相似文献

The magnetic gradient tensor (MGT) provides gradient components of potential fields with mathematical properties which allow processing techniques e.g. analytic signal techniques. With MGT emerging as a new tool for geophysical exploration, the mathematical modelling of gradient tensor fields is necessary for interpretation of magnetic field measurements. The point-dipole and line of dipoles are used to approximate various magnetic objects. I investigate the maxima of the magnitude of magnetic vector components (MMVC) and analytic signals of magnetic gradient tensor (ASMGT) resulting from point-dipole and line of dipoles sources in determining horizontal locations. I also present a method in which depths of these sources are estimated from the ratio of the maximum of MMVC to the maximum of ASMGT. Theoretical examples have been carried out to test the feasibility of the method in obtaining source locations and depths. The method has been applied to the MMVC and ASMGT computed from the total field data over a basic/ultrabasic body at the emerald deposit of Socoto´, Bahia, Brazil and buried water supply pipe near Jadaguda Township, India. In both field examples, the method produces good correlations with previous interpretations.  相似文献

选取2017—2018年北京、昌黎、红山地震台GM4磁通门磁力仪观测资料,采用常规预处理方法,剔除地铁轻轨、地电阻率、高压直流输电对地磁观测数据的干扰,结果发现,经分转秒处理,数据出现缺记现象,且完整率多低于90%,而秒转分处理,数据完整率达100%,无缺记现象发生;采用小波变换方法,对受到地铁轻轨干扰的北京地震台地磁观测数据进行滤波处理,并与无地铁轻轨干扰的红山地震台地磁观测数据进行频谱对比分析,结果发现,小波变换方法可有效抑制地铁轻轨对GM4磁通门磁力仪观测的影响。  相似文献

全张量磁梯度数据具有高精度、高分辨率、多参量的优点,能更加清晰地刻画地质体的分布特征,综合利用磁张量梯度数据准确地获得地质体水平位置和深度信息是解释的主要目的.磁张量数据的方向解析信号具有减小倾斜磁化干扰的优点,常被用来圈定磁源体的水平位置,但解析信号强度随着地质体埋深的增加急剧衰减,难以有效识别较深的地质体.张量数据均衡边界识别技术,利用不同方向解析信号的比值函数,能有效地均衡不同深度地质体的响应,同时显示不同深度地质体的边界,提高了对较深地质体的分辨率.磁张量数据深度成像技术根据实测张量数据与假定模型张量数据的相关系数来给定地质体的深度,综合利用多参量数据联合反演提高了反演结果的准确性,且无需进行复杂的反演运算,是大数据量张量数据解释的有效方法.理论模型试验证明:磁张量数据均衡边界识别技术可清晰和准确地识别地质体的水平范围,受倾斜磁化干扰小;磁张量数据深度成像技术可准确地获得地质体的深度信息,具有较强的抗噪性.将上述方法应用于铁矿区实测航磁张量梯度数据解释,获得了铁矿体水平分布与埋深,深度结果与张量欧拉反褶积法计算结果一致.  相似文献

为了探索在高噪声干扰地区获取高信噪比地震信息的有效途径,本文分析了我国第一个超深井地震观测站江苏东海地壳活动国家野外科学观测研究站设置在地面与井下三个不同深度处的地震仪所记录的波形及其信噪比特征。结果显示:由于观测研究站周围强烈的噪声扰动,地面地震仪记录中无法识别ML0.8地方震波形,而深井地震仪可清晰地记录到该小震波形,且深井地震仪可观测到较地面地震仪更多的零级或负震级地震;井下三组不同深度地震仪所记录波形的信噪比均远高于地面地震仪,且不同深度地震波形信噪比的平均值随仪器深度的增大而增加。井下1 559.5 m处的地震仪的波形平均信噪比为69.20 dB,2 545.5 m处的信噪比达到74.15 dB,均达到高保真波形的信噪比值,这说明1 500 m深处地震仪所观测到的波形可以有效地避免地面干扰,因此深井地震观测能够提供高信噪比的波形资料,为研究震源过程和场地效应等提供真实可靠的基础资料,这也预示着深井观测将促进深井地震学的研究与发展。  相似文献

The tilt-depth method can be used to make fast estimation of the top depth of magnetic bodies. However, it is unable to estimate bottom depths and its every inversion point only has a single solution. In order to resolve such weaknesses, this paper presents an improved tilt-depth method based on the magnetic anomaly expression of vertical contact with a finite depth extent, which can simultaneously estimate top and bottom depths of magnetic bodies. In addition, multiple characteristic points are selected on the tilt angle map for joint computation to improve reliability of inversion solutions. Two- and threedimensional model tests show that this improved tilt-depth method is effective in inverting buried depths of top and bottom bodies, and has a higher inversion precision for top depths than the conventional method. The improved method is then used to process aeromagnetic data over the Changling Fault Depression in the Songliao Basin, and inversion results of top depths are found to be more accurate for actual top depths of volcanic rocks in two nearby drilled wells than those using the conventional tilt-depth method.  相似文献

A previous paper presented measurements by Australian magnetometer arrays of Earth response to the magnetic daily-variation source field, and interpreted these data by simple representative models of one-dimensional structure found by “forward model-fitting”. This paper now supplements the earlier interpretation by seeking to clarify the ranges of acceptable models which fit the data; that is, to demonstrate the extent of the non-uniqueness of the interpretation. Searches for models which fit the data have been carried out on both a systematic and a random basis, with similar results.The major conclusion of the earlier paper is confirmed; that there is a substantial difference in conductivity structure between central and southeast Australia. Beneath central Australia, the structure is consistent with a traditional continental geotherm and published laboratory measurements on the temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity of recognized upper-mantle crystalline olivine materials. Beneath southeast Australia, a higher conductivity by an order of magnitude in the depth range 200–300 km is most directly interpreted in terms of a small degree (perhaps 5%) of basalt melt.Such a partial-melt zone under southeast Australia is consistent with previous natural electromagnetic measurements for the area; has earlier and independently been indicated by a variety of seismic studies; and correlates with proposed thermal models which involve crustal intrusion from some sub-lithospheric magma source.  相似文献

We have developed a least‐squares minimization approach to determine simultaneously the shape (shape factor) and the depth of a buried structure from self‐potential (SP) data. The method is based on computing the standard deviation of the depths determined from all moving‐average residual anomalies obtained from SP data, using filters of successive window lengths for each shape factor. The standard deviation may generally be considered a criterion for determining the correct depth and shape factor of the buried structure. When the correct shape factor is used, the standard deviation of the depths is less than the standard deviations computed using incorrect shape factors. This method is applied to synthetic data with and without random errors, complicated regionals and interference from neighbouring sources, and is tested on a known field example from Turkey. In all cases, the shape and depth solutions obtained are in a good agreement with the actual values.  相似文献

We present a total-field anomaly inversion method to determine both the basement relief and the magnetization direction (inclination and declination) of a 2D sedimentary basin presuming negligible sediment magnetization. Our method assumes that the magnetic intensity contrast is constant and known. We use a nonspectral approach based on approximating the vertical cross section of the sedimentary basin by a polygon, whose uppermost vertices are forced to coincide with the basin outcrop, which are presumably known. For fixed values of the x coordinates our method estimates the z coordinates of the unknown polygon vertices. To obtain the magnetization direction we assume that besides the total-field anomaly, information about the basement’s outcrops at the basin borders and the basement depths at a few points is available. To obtain stable depth-to-basement estimates we impose overall smoothness and positivity constraints on the parameter estimates. Tests on synthetic data showed that the simultaneous estimation of the irregular basement relief and the magnetization direction yields good estimates for the relief despite the mild instability in the magnetization direction. The inversion of aeromagnetic data from the onshore Almada Basin, Brazil, revealed a shallow, eastward-dipping basement basin.  相似文献

用地震方法探测城市直下型活动断裂是一种不可替代的勘探技术。地震方法能够准确确定断层的位置,但对于断层的地质年代问题,地震方法本身难以解决,然而结合钻孔资料和测区标准地质剖面,根据地震深度剖面,可以定性地(或半定量地)确定反射波组的地质年代。确定城市直下型活动断裂的上断点需要采用高分辨率的地震反射技术,为有效地确定深部断裂的几何特征,特别是确定深浅断裂构造之间的关系,反射地震方法优于折射地震方法。  相似文献

We have developed a least‐squares minimization approach to depth determination using numerical second horizontal derivative anomalies obtained from magnetic data with filters of successive window lengths (graticule spacings). The problem of depth determination from second‐derivative magnetic anomalies has been transformed into finding a solution to a non‐linear equation of the form, f(z) = 0. Formulae have been derived for a sphere, a horizontal cylinder, a dike and a geological contact. Procedures are also formulated to estimate the magnetic angle and the amplitude coefficient. We have also developed a simple method to define simultaneously the shape (shape factor) and the depth of a buried structure from magnetic data. The method is based on computing the variance of depths determined from all second‐derivative anomaly profiles using the above method. The variance is considered a criterion for determining the correct shape and depth of the buried structure. When the correct shape factor is used, the variance of depths is less than the variances computed using incorrect shape factors. The method is applied to synthetic data with and without random errors, complicated regionals, and interference from neighbouring magnetic rocks. Finally, the method is tested on a field example from India. In all the cases examined, the depth and the shape parameters are found to be in good agreement with the actual parameters.  相似文献

Gravity anomalies always include the total effects (combination of the structures which have different densities and depths) of the study area and beyond. And the well-known non-uniqueness of potential field modelling may lead to very different interpretation results.The finite element method (FEM), which has been used in potential field interpretation for decades, makes complex problems to be solved easily and accurately. The first step of FEM is to identify the elements and then to decide on the boundary of the solution space. In this step, the solution space is divided into elements. After determination of the geometrical structure of the solution space, the most suitable elements should be chosen for this geometrical structure. The agreement between the geometry and the elements is quite important for the convergence to the best possible solution.In this work, the methods of trend analysis, filtering, analytical continuation and FEM were applied to a theoretical model and to gravity data from western Turkey to produce the regional and the residual anomalies. The results were compared and it was found that the FEM produced more accurate results than other methods did.  相似文献

Studies of glacier hydrology rely increasingly on measurements made in boreholes as a basis for reconstructing the character and behaviour of subglacial drainage systems. In temperate glaciers, in which boreholes remain open to the atmosphere following drilling, the interpretation of such data may be complicated by supraglacial or englacial water flows to and from boreholes. We report on a suite of techniques used to identify borehole water sources and to reconstruct patterns of water circulation within boreholes at Haut Glacier d'Arolla, Switzerland. Results are used to define a number of borehole ‘drainage’ types. Examples of each drainage type are presented, along with the manner in which they influence interpretations of borehole water‐levels, borehole water‐quality data, and borehole dye traces. The analysis indicates that a full understanding of possible borehole drainage modes is required for the correct interpretation of many borehole observations, and that those observations provide an accurate indication of subglacial conditions only under relatively restricted circumstances. A case history is reported to outline a possible strategy for the construction of a pseudo-2D model of shear-wave velocity for seismic site response studies. Experimental data have been collected using the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Wave technique (MASW) at six sites in the city of Najaf (Southern Iraq). The sites are aligned along the route of a proposed subway. The dataset has been processed to extract the dispersion curves of each site and then it has been inverted by using a Laterally Constrained Inversion (LCI) algorithm. The initial model for the local search algorithm has been obtained with a preliminary Monte Carlo Inversion (MCI). A priori information from borehole logs and lateral constraints between neighbors 1D models are used to mitigate the non-uniqueness of the solution. The result is a pseudo-2D shear-wave velocity model of the area which is in good agreement with sediment lithology and thicknesses obtained from borehole logs.  相似文献

西湖凹陷深层致密砂岩储层具有良好的勘探开发前景,受埋深影响,目的层地震资料品质较差.A构造通过斜缆宽频采集和处理获取宽频地震数据,提升了资料品质,然而应用常规子波提取方法对宽频数据进行子波提取并反演计算纵波阻抗,结果与井上实测数值差异较大,影响储层的定量解释.针对这一问题,提出统计性子波和确定性子波相结合的长短子波合并宽频子波提取方法,提取的宽频子波比常规子波低频丰富、旁瓣小,能更真实地反映地震信息,约束稀疏脉冲反演的纵波阻抗结果与测井曲线吻合度更高.基于宽频数据和常规数据分别进行约束稀疏脉冲弹性波阻抗反演,预测A构造优质储层分布,经已钻井证实,宽频数据比常规数据储层预测精度高,预测的储层展布特征与研究区地质沉积认识一致.结果表明:这种基于宽频子波提取的宽频资料应用方法有效降低了致密砂岩储层预测的多解性.  相似文献
