The energy dispersion of a typhoon vortex and its effect on the typhoon motion are studied using an analyticalmethod of double-Fourier expansion as well as a numerical model in a β-plane nondivergent barotropic framework.The analytic model and the linear version of the numerical model give essentially the same result:the energy dispersionfrom a tropical cyclone can creat an L-H-L wave train to the east of the tropical cyclone.Three numerical experiments,integrated for 7 model days by the nonlinear model,indicate that the closed high in the wave train produces obvious in-fluence on the structure and movement of the tropical cyclone.  相似文献

本文用双Fourier展开的解析方法和β平面准地转正压模式数值试验的方法,研究了台风涡旋能量频散及其对台风路径的影响问题。解析与数值试验的结果一致地表明,由于能量频散,在台风中心以东方向形成了一个低-高-低值系统的波列。三组数值试验的结果表明,波列中的高值系统对台风的结构和移行具有明显的影响。  相似文献

The dynamics of tropical cyclone is investigated in a nondivergent,barotropic model with no basic flow.The effect of linear beta term on the movement and development of tropical cyclone is emphatically demonstrated.The streamfunction tendency due to the symmetric component of linear beta term appears in a dipole-like pattern with an east-west symmetry,which maintains and intensifies the large-scale beta gyres and causes the tropical cyclone to have a westerly moving component.The streamfunction tendency due to the asymmetric component of linear beta term arises in an ellipse pattern with a north-south major axis,which weakens the tropical cyclone.The streamfunction tendency due to the asymmetric component of linear beta term and the intensity of large-scale cyclonic beta gyre synchronously vary in a fluctuating manner with time.  相似文献

Based on the tropical cyclone (TC) asymmetric disturbance as the superposition of the symmetric environmental circulation,the analytical solution of travelling wave is given by using the barotropical nondivergent model with diabatic heating forcing and non-friction in a plane polar coordinate.Then,the TC radial inhomogeneous structure is analyzed on radial/tangential velocity and geopotential height.It is found that the different kinds of structures are influenced by the Coriolis parameter (f),TC intensity (Ω),disturbance circular frequency (ω),and TC angular wavenumber (m).And,the diabatic heating (Q1) has significant impacts on the radial/tangential velocity distribution shaped like the inner-tight and outer-relaxed.  相似文献

设计一个三层的准地转斜压模式,研究了不同结构环境气流和环境非绝热加热场中热带气旋移动路径和结构的特征.数值试验的结果表明:(1)无外界影响下热带气旋向西北方向移动,垂直速度场有明显的螺旋结构;(2)热带气旋主要受基本环境气流引导,非对称环流中的小扰动干扰了热带气旋的移动;(3)非绝热加热场对热带气旋影响较大,热带气旋有向加热中心移动的倾向,同时热带气旋的水平、垂直结构都有较大的变化.  相似文献

The dynamics of tropical cyclone is investigated in a nondivergent barotropic model with no basic flow. The effect of nonlinear term on the movement and development of tropical cyclone is emphatically demonstrated. The advection of asymmetric vorticity by the symmetric flow(AAVS) produces the small-scale gyres(SSGs). The SSGs counterclockwise rotate around the tropical cyclone center. The interaction of SSGs with the large-scale beta gyres(LSBGs) leads to the oscillation in translation speed and vacillation in translation direction for tropical cyclone. The advection of symmetric vorticity by the asymmetric flow(ASVA) steers the symmetric circulation of tropical cyclone. The ventilation flow vector determined by the asymmetric flow is close correlated with the motion vector of tropical cyclone. The nonlinear advection of relative vorticity is an order of magnitude greater than the linear advection of planetary vorticity, However, the asymmetric circulation created by the planetary vorticity advection provides a background condition for anomalous motions of the tropical cyclone. The combination of the linear and nonlinear effects results in accelerated, decelerated, changing direction and/or counterclockwise looping motions of the tropical cyclone.  相似文献

Generally speaking,the convection activities are inactive over western Pacific warm pool and tropical cyclone (TC) activity seldom occurs over the offshore of East Asia during the period of Meiyu rainfall.However,if a TC is active in this area,the Meiyu rainfall will often weaken or end up.Based on a statistical study with the data from 1980 to 1995,it is found that about 91% of 23 TC activities affected the intensity of Meiyu rainfall,and 50% of the end-up of Meiyu events were related to the active TCs and the change of subtropical high.The present paper simulates the effect of TC on Meiyu circulation by using MM4 model,and the results agree with the observations.From the point of view of vapor and energy transport,the landing of TC cuts not only the transport of the water vapor to Changjiang-Huaihe River basin from the Bay of Bengal but also the conversion of the mean flow energy to the Meiyu circulation because of the TC forcing to the zonal circulation.These two effects make the convection and perturbation existing in Meiyu region lack the supply of the vapor and energy for their maintenance and lead to the end of Meiyu rainfall.  相似文献

应用无基本气流的无辐无正压模式研究热带气旋的水平尺度对其移动的影响,水平尺度较小的(较大的)热带气旋向西北偏北(西北偏西)移动,水平尺度较小的(较大的)热带气旋使其大尺度β涡旋逆时针旋转一个较小的(较大的)角度αi。热带气旋的移向θc与角度αi有关,即θc≈360°-αi。因此,热带气旋的移向随其水平尺度的增大而逆时针向偏转。  相似文献

In terms of the NCAR Community Climate Model (CCM3),the effect of the Indian Peninsula on the course of the Asian tropical summer monsoon is simulated in this paper,and numerical experimental results show that the Indian Peninsula plays a critical role in the establishment process of the Asian tropical summer monsoon.When the CCM3 includes the Indian Peninsula,the model successfully simulates out the course of the Asian tropical summer monsoon,i.e.the South China Sea (SCS) summer monsoon at first bursts in middle May,while the Indian monsoon just establishes until middle June.However when the Indian Peninsula topography is deleted in the model,the Indian and SCS summer monsoons almost simultaneously establish in late May.Numerical results further indicate that in the former experiment the sensible heating of the Indian Peninsula warms the air above and produces evident temperature contrast between the peninsula and its adjacent SCS and Bay of Bengal (BOB).which results in the strengthening and maintenance of the BOB trough in the low-middle layer of the troposphere in the end of spring and early summer and thus the earliest establishment of the Asian tropical summer monsoon in the SCS in middle May.However,the Indian summer monsoon just establishes until middle June when the strong west wind over the Arabian Sea shifts northwards and cancels out the influence of the northwest flow behind the BOB trough.In the latter experiment the effect of Tibetan Plateau only produces a very weak BOB trough,and thus the SCS and Indian summer monsoons almost simultaneously establish.  相似文献

Given time-independent monthly mean sea temperature,numerical simulation was done of the path of the tropicalcy clone Forrest and its related physical quantity field in terms of the improved version of the σ-coordinate 10-level primitive equation model for tropical cyclones developed by the Guangzhou Institute of Marine Meteorology.Result ssuggest the similarity between the simulated and observed physical quantity fields except that the simulated path was to the right of the observed,with the deviation increasing with time.Sea and tropical cyclone,in effect,interact mutually.In an attempt to compare the results from coupling and uncoupling experiments,an oceanic mixed layer model was formulated based on experiments with sea response to cyclone and integrated in synchronous coupling with the aforementioned version of tropical cyclones,the computational domain covering the western North Pacific with the coastal configuration involved.The coupling experiment shows that the negative feedback of the interaction between sea and mature cyclone leads to weaker sea response as compared to the uncoupling case.Except for the location of the divergence core of oceanic current,the mixed layer depth and inhomogeneous distribution of sea surface temperature (SST) caused by the cyclone-core position and intensity,the values of the maximum oceanic current,departure of the mixed layer depth and SST drop were smaller in the coupling than in the uncoupling case,and so was the maximum wind near the cyclone core.The path from the coupling run is to the left of the course in the uncoupling experiment but closer to the observed one though remaining somewhat leftward.Even on a scale of less than 3 days,the effects of sea and sea-cyclone interaction on the cyclone were by no means negli-gible.  相似文献

Using the barotropic volticity equation that contains forcing from diabatic heating with appropriate parameterization. a number of numerical experiments are conducted for the tropical cyclone that is initially symmetric The result shows that the diabatic heating has important effects on the asymmetric structure in addition to the roll of the β term and nonlinear advection term in its formation. It again confirms the conclusion that the diabatic heating is a possible mechanism responsible for such structures in the tropical cyclone.  相似文献

A study is made of the paths of tropical cyclones under the joint action of environmental flow and heating fields in terms of a quasi-geostrophic barotropic model with the thermal forcing and dissipation terms involved,in which 16 experiments are designed and integrated for more than 7 model days.Results show that for different parameter values of the environmental flow and heating field,and the cyclone scale,such paths as counterclockwise looping,zigzag form and westward march with an abrupt turning towards the north are reproduced clearly in the model atmosphere,exhibiting their critical points of nonlinear character.  相似文献

A dominant role played by energy dispersion in the explosive development of extratropicalmarine cyclones over the Northwest Pacific has been revealed based on both the eddy energyequations and the energy flux vectors of nonlinear wave packet.At the initial and explosive time.the eddy energy from neighboring upstream systems beyond the radius of Rossby deformation isdispersed into the eddy energy center associated with the cyclone via ageostrophic geopotentialfluxes,and results in the rapid increase of eddy kinetic energy and the occurrence of explosivecyclogenesis.When the cyclone begins to decay,its corresponding eddy energy is exporteddownstream and hence triggers the growth of new perturbation downstream.Through generalizingthe energy flux vectors of quasigeostrophic wave packets to the nonlinear forms and making use ofthe relationship between the energy flux vectors and the total eddy energy,the approximationexpressions of the total group velocity and relative group velocity are derived,and then they areused to compute an explosive case.The normalized ageostrophic geopotential fluxes by dividing thevolume integral of ageostrophic geopotential fluxes by the integral of the total eddy energydetermine the relative group velocity at which the eddy energy is spreading out,and they can beused to evaluate the position of next new disturbance.The nonlinear advective fluxes influenceprimarily the phase speed and translation of the cyclones.The results in this paper facilitate toexpanding the mechanism research on explosive cyclones and have great significance for predictingthe explosive intensification and downstream disturbance growth.  相似文献

广东省登陆热带气旋活动异常成因分析   总被引:43,自引:26,他引:43  
利用1970~2001年热带气旋年鉴资料,对32年来西太平洋热带气旋登陆我国的频率、位置、维持、衰减、变性、加强及消亡等进行统计分析,揭示热带气旋登陆活动的一些事实和特征。研究表明:在我国沿海不同地区(不包括岛屿)登陆的热带气旋,其陆上维持时间明显不同,从广西至浙江,维持时间向北增加;热带气旋登陆后的明显衰减主要发生在登陆后12小时内,登陆时越强的热带气旋,衰减得越厉害;热带气旋在我国陆上消失的位置最北是黑龙江、最西可至云南,广西是登陆我国热带气旋消失数最多的地区。  相似文献
