Remote sensing measurements in coral reef environments commonly confront the problem of overlying atmosphere and modification of spectral signal due to water column over the bottom substrates. In order to correct these problems, hyperspectral observations offer an advantage over multispectral observations. Airborne hyperspectral remote sensing data from Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer- Next Generation (AVIRIS-NG) sensor was acquired during low tidal condition on 14 February 2016 at Pirotan reef, Gulf of Kachchh region, India. The objective of this study is to map benthic coverage and bottom topography over Pirotan reef. The methodology involved atmospheric correction, simultaneous retrieval of water parameters, bathymetry, water column correction and mapping. Atmospheric correction was performed by removing path radiance and aerosol contribution and dividing by atmospheric transmittance and incoming solar irradiance to obtain remote sensing reflectance. Model derived error minimization technique was used for simultaneous retrieval of water parameters and bathymetry. Derived water parameters were used to account for water column attenuation and retrieve concomitant true bottom signature.  相似文献

珊瑚礁是生物多样性和初级生产力最高的海洋生态系统之一,对人类社会与海洋生态环境的健康和可持续发展有重要作用,而珊瑚礁又是中国南海主要的国土类型,国家因此越来越重视对南海珊瑚礁的规划、管理、建设与保护。珊瑚礁的调查与探测则是进行珊瑚礁活动的基础与依据,而遥感则在珊瑚礁的大范围探测方面具有很大的潜力,所以国内外已经存在很多利用遥感对珊瑚礁进行调查与探测的研究与应用。本文将按照被动遥感和主动遥感的顺序,客观地阐述国内外珊瑚礁遥感研究与应用的进展,探讨珊瑚礁遥感研究与应用的发展趋势,并尝试总结中国珊瑚礁遥感的机遇和挑战。其中被动遥感包括珊瑚礁地形与水深的遥感、珊瑚礁底质与地貌的遥感、珊瑚礁岸线变化与稳定性的遥感以及珊瑚礁环境的遥感等,而主动遥感则包括珊瑚礁水深的机载激光雷达遥感、珊瑚礁地貌的船载声学遥感和珊瑚礁地形的星载微波遥感等。结果发现,国内珊瑚礁遥感研究与应用的整体水平落后于国外:虽然在部分数据处理方面具有比国外更先进的技术,但相应的应用基础研究仍然达不到国外的广度与深度。因此,国内的珊瑚礁遥感研究仍需要鼓励珊瑚礁学者更多的参与与合作,以便在硬件设备和数据处理等方面加强针对珊瑚礁遥感的研究,进而融合多种手段而实现珊瑚礁遥感的工程化应用。  相似文献

珊瑚礁对于海洋生态环境研究具有重要意义,通过分析珊瑚礁底栖物质的分布及健康状况,可以对珊瑚礁生态环境进行评估。本文提出了一种基于面向对象的图像分类方法,通过试验确定不同地貌的最优分割尺度,其中陆地和深海的最优分割尺度为150,各类底栖物质的最优分割尺度为30。以Sentinel-2A卫星遥感影像为例,提取海南三亚珊瑚礁自然保护区的珊瑚礁底栖物质,并使用混淆矩阵对提取结果进行精度评估。结果表明,底栖物质提取总体分类精度为87.91%,Kappa系数为0.83。面向对象分类方法可有效结合珊瑚礁底栖物质的纹理特征和光谱特征,并充分利用遥感影像不同波段的组合特性,可为三亚珊瑚礁保护管理提供方法支撑。  相似文献

以江苏近海辐射沙脊群海域为典型研究区,通过实测水深数据和水体光谱测量与分析,发现对应TM3和TM4波段的水体光谱反射率对水深信息敏感,线性相关系数分别达到-0.561和-0.694。结合多光谱遥感信息传输方程所推导出的水深信息对数反演模式,针对本研究区TM4和TM3波段数据所建立的水深预测模式的复相关系数R2为0.4793,对0-15m水深,预测水深和实测水深之间拟合较好。利用TM5波段反射率、出露沙洲反射率以及海水反射率的差异,通过建立掩膜图像,可较有效地对TM遥感图像进行水陆分离,提取TM图像中海水部分,进一步可通过常用的图像处理软件绘制每隔5m的TM水深遥感制图、等深线图。随着高空间、高光谱、高辐射分辨率遥感技术的发展,对浅海水域的水深和水下地形进行遥感探测的技术方法和应用将会不断地深入开展。  相似文献

Changes in shoreline, coral reef and seafloor have been mapped using remote sensing satellite data of IRS LISS-III (1998), IRS LISS-II (1988), Survey of India Topographic sheet (1969), Naval Hydrographic Chart (NHO) 1975 and bathymetry data (1999) with ARC-INFO and ARC-VIEW GIS. The analysis of multi-date shoreline maps showed that 4.34 and 23.49 km2 of the mainland coast and 4.14 and 3.31 km2 areas of island coast have been eroded and accreted, respectively, in the Gulf of Mannar. The analysis of multi-date coral reef maps showed that 25.52 km2 of reef area and 2.16 km2 of reef vegetation in Gulf of Mannar have been lost over a period of ten years. The analysis of multi-date bathymetry data indicates that the depth of seafloor has decreased along the coast and around the islands in the study area. The average reduction of depth in seafloor has been estimated as 0.51m over a period of twenty four years. The increased suspended sediment concentration due to coastal and island erosion, and raised reef due to emerging of coast by tectonic movement are responsible for coral reef degradation in the Gulf of Mannar. Coral reefs are one of the most diverse of all marine ecosystems and are often referred to as the “rainforests of the sea”. Though they cover less than one per cent of Earth’s surface, they are home to one quarter of all ocean species by providing food and shelter to them. Optical remote sensing has been widely employed for mapping and monitoring coral reefs. But the application of microwave remote sensing has been an alternate domain in this area. This study explores the possibility of utilizing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data of Radar Imaging Satellite-I, India’s first indigenous microwave satellite to delineate the coral reefs in Andaman and Lakshadweep Islands in the Indian Ocean. The dual polarized data, after reducing the speckle has been classified to delineate the coral reefs in the vicinity of both islands. SAR has a performance comparable with passive optical sensors under favourable conditions of imaging, viz. optimum tidal current and surface winds. The study results are compared with the international coral reef reference map and are found to be highly promising, with an overall accuracy of 98.3% and a Kappa coefficient of 0.944 for fringing reefs in Andaman region. For the atolls in Lakshadweep region, the overall accuracy is found to be 92.99% and the Kappa coefficient is estimated at 0.7377. This study tries to explore a different horizon for microwave remote sensing in coral reef studies. It is seen that, optical and microwave remote sensing can provide a mutually supporting platform in coral reef delineation, in terms of imaging depth as well as climatic conditions.  相似文献

对地观测技术的快速发展为水环境定量遥感监测提供了多源遥感数据的有利支撑,然而多源数据空间尺度差异引起的遥感数据和定量产品的不一致性严重制约了水环境科学研究和业务化应用。针对多源遥感数据的空间尺度转换和尺度误差问题,本文提出一种模拟遥感成像过程点扩散函数(PSF)的多源遥感数据空间尺度转换方法。以高空间分辨率GF-1卫星16m遥感数据为基础,模拟了常用的内陆水环境监测卫星Landsat TM/ETM+/OLI(30m)、Terra/Aqua MODIS(250m、500m、1000m)数据,系统研究了高动态浑浊水体(以鄱阳湖悬浮颗粒物监测为例)多源定量遥感监测的空间尺度误差,并对比分析了常用的多源数据尺度转换方法(基于遥感反射率数据平均法和基于悬浮颗粒物产品平均法)的有效性。结果表明,基于点扩散函数的空间尺度转换方法与传统方法具有较高的相关性,基于遥感反射率数据平均法的水环境定量遥感产品的误差水平低于基于悬浮颗粒物产品平均法;相对于南海等相对平稳水体的低空间尺度误差水平(0.5%),在高动态浑浊的内陆或近岸水环境遥感监测中,由空间尺度变化引起的产品误差可达±5%左右。因此,在高精度水环境定量遥感发展应用的需求和多源多尺度遥感数据协同的背景下,本文研究对于提高多源遥感监测产品的一致性和应用能力具有重要理论和现实意义。  相似文献

大气修正是海洋水色遥感中的关键技术之一。近海二类水体大气修正面临两个挑战:浑浊水体造成NIR大气修正波段的离水辐射明显大于零;近海上空存在较强吸收性的气溶胶。本文针对HY-1A CZI,在辐射传输模拟的基础上建立了基于神经网络技术的二类水体大气修正算法,可以由波段1-4的TOA反射率和三个角度反演得到离水反射率、气溶胶光学厚度等参数。利用模拟数据进行了算法的性能评估,并开展了卫星数据处理试验。结果表明,除了在非常浑浊的水体,反演结果基本合理。  相似文献

表面粗糙度是影响土壤在微波波段发射和散射辐射的主要因素之一,也是微波遥感研究与应用的重要参量。由于微波后向散射还受介电特性、穿透深度等因素的影响,在微波遥感应用中往往难以单独考虑介质表面粗糙度,给参数估算与反演带来了一定困难。在可见光、近红外波段,粗糙度作为土壤表面重要的结构参数之一,直接影响着土壤的二向反射分布特征。因此,本文尝试利用光学多角度观测信息,反演土壤表面粗糙度。基于地表二向反射几何光学模型,假设裸土像元由随机分布于平坦表面的土壤团粒组成,将团粒近似为半椭球体,建立裸露土壤表面二向反射模型,模拟不同粗糙度条件下土壤表面像元的二向反射分布特征。进一步尝试采用多角度观测数据反演模型,估算土壤团粒的几何结构参数,进而计算土壤表面均方根高度,作为表面粗糙度的衡量指标。地面实测多角度数据的初步验证结果表明,多角度光学遥感估算土壤表面粗糙度的方法是可行的。  相似文献

目前基于遥感图像的城市功能区分类方法通常采用光谱特征解译、兴趣点数据辅助、评价策略优化等方式,依赖大量人工操作,并借助遥感图像外的其他信息源。为了解决以上问题,提出利用卷积神经网络进行滑窗识别,提取图像语义标签,结合语义推理机制实现城市功能区分类的滑窗-推理方法。首先,建立两级城市功能区分类,以二级城市功能区为标识标注训练样本,并以此训练卷积神经网络作为识别器;然后,设计有重叠的滑窗识别模式,使用识别器辨识滑窗区域内图像块的二级城市功能区类型;最后,提出一个带权重的打分机制,作为语义推理方式,语义推理对象为全部识别结果,确定各图像块的一级城市功能区类型,实现遥感图像城市功能区分类。实验使用模拟图像和高分辨率遥感图像,两种图像的总分类精度分别可达94.50%、92.04%。滑窗-推理方法旨在通过语义推理处理滑窗识别产生的多语义标签,根据多语义标签确定对象的真实城市功能区。实验结果表明,所提方法无需辅助信息,直接利用遥感图像进行城市功能区分类是可行和有效的。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Optical satellite data is an efficient and complementary method to hydrographic surveys for deriving bathymetry in shallow coastal waters. Empirical approaches (in particular, the models of Stumpf and Lyzenga) provide a practical methodology to derive bathymetric information from remote sensing. Recent studies, however, have focused on enhancing the performance of such empirical approaches by extending them via spatial information. In this study, the relationship between multibeam depth and Sentinel-2 image bands was analyzed in an optically complex environment using the spatial predictor of kriging with an external drift (KED), where its external drift component was estimated: a) by a ratio of log-transformed bands based on Stumpf’s model (KED_S) and b) by a log-linear transform based on Lyzenga’s model (KED_L). Through the calibration of KED models, the study objectives were: 1) to better understand the empirical relationship between Sentinel-2 multispectral satellite reflectance and depth, 2) to test the robustness of KED to derive bathymetry in a multitemporal series of Sentinel-2 images and multibeam data, and 3) to compare the performance of KED against the existing non-spatial models described by Stumpf et al. and Lyzenga. Results showed that KED could improve prediction accuracy with a decrease in RMSE of 89% and 88%, and an increase in R2 of 27% and 14%, over the Stumpf and Lyzenga models, respectively. The decrease in RMSE provides a worthwhile improvement in accuracy, where results showed effective prediction of depth up to 6 m. However, the presence of higher concentrations of suspended materials, especially river plumes, can reduce this threshold to 4 m. As would be expected, prediction accuracy could be improved through the removal of outliers, which were mainly located in the channel of the river, areas influenced by the river plume, abrupt topography, but also very shallow areas close to the shoreline. These areas have been identified as conflictive zones where satellite-derived bathymetry can be compromised.  相似文献

介绍了一种基于人工神经网络的海中一类水域叶绿素反演方法。人工神经网络是3层的反向传输神经网络。其结构是输入层有4个节点,它们分别对应4个波段412m,443nm,490nm,510nm的遥感反射比与555nm波段遥感反射比的比值,隐含层有5个节点,输出层一个节点对应于叶绿素深度。该神经网络的训练和试验样本集来自SeaBAM的数据集。数据集中的919个站位的70%(644个)用于训练,30%(275个)用于测试。结果表明,该方法的精度优于被广泛采用的三次经验方法。  相似文献

This study focuses on using remote sensing techniques to estimate the evapotranspiration cover coefficient (CV) which is an important parameter for stream flow. The objective is to derive more accurate stream flow from the estimated CV. The study area is located in the Dan-Shuei watershed in northern Taiwan. The processes include the land-use classification using hybrid classification and four Landsat-5 TM images; the CV estimations based on remote sensing and traditional approaches; comparison of stream flow simulation according to the above two CV values. The result indicated that the study area was classified into seven land-use types with 88.3% classification accuracy. The simulated stream flow using remote sensing approach could represent more accurate hydrological characteristics than a traditional approach. Obviously integrating remote sensing technique and the SEBAL model is a useful approach to estimate the CV. The CV parameter estimated by remote sensing technique did improve the accuracy of the stream flow simulation. Therefore, the results can be extended to further studies such as forest water management.  相似文献

发展了一个用于卫星大气订正的参数化模式,包括一个新的程辐射亮度模式和一个参数化的朗伯地表一大气辐射耦合引起的亮度增量模式.应用最小二乘法,程辐射亮度被参数化为大气总光学厚度、一次散射反照率、太阳天顶角、视天顶角、方位角、大气不对称因子的函数.应用这一参数化的亮度模式进行大气订正应用的数值模拟,即进行卫星遥感地表光谱反照率的模拟试验.数值检验结果表明对于865 nm,670nm,550nm和412nm 4个MODIS通道,在0°-70°的太阳天顶角、0°-60°视观测角以及0.05-0.8的地表反照率条件下,参数化的向上辐射亮度的标准差小于4%,由该参数化亮度模式引起的地表反照率解的标准差小于0.03.  相似文献

Polarizaton characteristics of completely diffuse light reflected from a wind roughened sea surface and its total reflectance are studied for various wind speeds on the assumption that distribution of wave slopes around their mean is Gaussian. The angular distribution of diffuse reflectance and polarization status of reflected light are also estimated with a view to exploring possibilities of using these parameters for remote sensing of sea state from a satellite, aircraft or an observation tower. The efficiency of Brewster’s angle technique in eliminating reflected light from the sea surface radiance for remote sensing of subsurface material is examined for non flat sea surface in the light of these results. the results show that the diffuse light reflected from the sea surface contains information on the sea state in the form of its status of polarization and can be used as an observational tool in remote sensing of sea state. The scope and limitations of the method proposed are discussed.  相似文献

New methods are needed for the study of coral reefs, as they are changing rapidly. Satellite remote sensing has become a common method for benthic mapping with advances in satellites and sensors and as methods are devised to account for atmospheric and water-column effects. Images from the QuickBird satellite have proven useful in reef mapping. Sand was distinguished from coral with an overall accuracy of 75% on the shallow reef off of the Caribbean island of Bonaire. Coral and sand had user accuracies of 50% and 90%, respectively. Increased samples of field-collected data would further increase the accuracies of such classifications.  相似文献
