| 摘 要： | 本文在文献[1]的基础上,共研究了13次大、中地震前的b值的区域分布,发现震中附近有个低b值区域,其外围有个高b值区域。这两个区域的半径R与主震震级M_s之间呈对数直线关系,由此可估计地震孕震区的大小,并可粗略地预测未来发生的大震的震级,也还可确定计算b值随时间变化所取的区域范围。另外,还分析了西南地区的永善地震和炉霍地震在不同区域内的震前b值随时间的变化,进一步验证了震前b值变化的相似规律性。

| Abstract: | In this paper the spatial distributions of the b-values before thirteen large and moderate earthquakes occurred in different regions of China are studied. It was found that in the vicinity of the epicenters there exist the areas of low b-values,outside of it are the areas of high b-values. The empirical relationship between the radius of such spatial distribution of the b-values and the magnitude of the main shock are evaluated,as shown by the formulas （1） & （2） in the text. These can be used to determine the size of the earthquake preparation region,and the area in the computation of the variation of the b-values with time. It may be also used to predict the magnitude of the large shock occurred in future. Also,the regularity of the variation of the b-values before the large and moderate shocks are further verified,by a similar analysis of seismological data collected for the Yongshan （永善） and Luhuo （炉霍） shocks in southwest China. |
