摘    要:在比较Client/Server和Browser/Server两种软件体系结构各自特点的基础上,本文探讨了将Client/Server体系结构和Browser/Server体系结构相结合而形成的GIS三层混合软件体系结构。广东省水资源综合规划信息系统(WIPIS)便是这种三层混合软件体系结构的一个典型应用。该系统基于MapObjects组件通过ArcSDE软件访问空间数据库,应用ArcIMS软件进行空间数据的发布,对于地理信息系统软件的开发和构建将是非常有益的借鉴。

Abstract:This paper puts forward three-tier hybrid architecture based on the C/S software architecture and B/S software architecture by making a comparison between C/S and B/S software architecture. The Water Resources Integrative Planning Information System (WIPIS) of Guangdong Province is the typical application of such three-tier hybrid architecture. This system is based on MapObjects component, accesses spatial database through Software ArcSDE and distributes the spatial data by ArcIMS. And it may be used as a reference for the development and improvement of other information systems.
