This paper describes the design concept of a semi-automatic gyro-orientation system which is composed of a gyroscope, an electronic theodolite T2000 and a pocket compu ter PC-1500. The tracking is effected by means of a slow-motion scren, and the read ing is computer-controlled. High-density information sampling is taken in equal time intervals. Preliminary discussion is made on weight assignment of observations taken in .tracking, discard of outliers and reasonable sampling frequency.
With existing instruments, increase in orientation precision and decrease in observ ing time can be achieved by using new observing method and adopting reasonable ad justment model. |
