CLIMATE ANOMALIES INDUCED BY EL NINO AND THE PREVENTION OF AGRICULTURAL METEOROLOGICAL DISASTERS

El Nino can cause abnormal changes of atmospheric circulation, and thus influences the global climate. Disasters occur all over. the world because of the anomalous climatic changes. El Nino also affects our country. The low temperature in summer period in Northeast China and the abnormal summer fainfall in the east area are obviously related to this phenomenon. Morever, El Nino causes the unusual activitics of the substropical high and the typhoons on west Pacific Ocean. The late El Nino appeared during 1997-1998, and without exception, Guangdong we one of the province meet varieties of climatic changes. These changes are closely related to agricultural meteomlogical disasters. It is consider that a defending system should be built according to the laws of the occurrence of anomalous climatic changes and agrocultural metcoroloical disasters.
