定量地层学原理及方法综述

摘    要:定量地层学是一个在最近15年内迅速发展起来的地层学新分支。它是地层学原理、数学方法及现代计算机技术相结合的产物。本文回顾了定量地层学的发展,讨论了它的研究对象(地层时间序列)的特殊性及复杂性,解释了它的主要研究目的,概要介绍了在生物地层学、年代地层学及岩石地层学方面最常用的定量方法以及它们的优点和所存在的问题。

Abstract:Quantitative stratigraphy is a relatively new branch of stratigraphy that has developed in the past 15 years. It is the product of the marriage of the principle of stratigraphy, statistical methods and modern computer technique. This paper reviews the development of quantitative stratigraphy, discusses some properties of its object (stratigraphic time-series), explains its major objectives. Some most widely used quantitative methods in biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy and lithostrati-graphy as well as their advantages and geological applications are introduced briefly
