Abstract:Based on the detailed calculation of Pb isotope compositions, it is proved that the ore bearing materials and fluids of Carlin type gold deposits in the area mainly originate from the upper mantle differentiation, and that the crust (strata) matter partly contaminates the plutonic ore bearing fluid during transportation from mantle to crust. It is the contamination that conceals the genuine origin of the ore bearing fluid to a certain extent.
