Abstract:In this paper,through the analysis of oxygen and carbon isotope of dolomite of mid Carboniferous Huanglong group in weste rn Pingle trough, discrepancy of oxygen and carbon isotope values between silt siz e and fine coares size dolomite obviously existed and the salinity and temper ature in which dolomite was formed have reckoned by oxygen values. This reflected that dolomite was formed in different sedimentary environments and diagenetic stag es. Silt size dolomite had the feature of parasyn genetic dolomite under fas t diagenesis in the hypersaline seawater environment, fine eoares size dolomite had the feature of diagenetic dolomite under sluggish crystallization in the mixture water.
