袖珍矿物晶体结构模型的制作

摘    要:所谓晶体结构,即晶体内部原子的排列形式}o晶体结构的表示方法有两种,即图示和模型。虽然所有的物理学、化学、矿物学和材料科学的教科书中都有晶体结构图,但是要使学生乃至专家建立结构的空间概念却绝非易事。因此,许多著名的晶体学家和矿物学家都十分强调制作模型的重要性。

POCKET MODELS OF CRYSTAL STRUCTURE

Abstract:A new method of making mineral crystal stuctures is described in this paper. Material used is paperboard with different colours and small pearl balls with di fferent sizes. The main bodies of structure models consist of coordination polyhed rons such as octahedrons, tetrahedrons and other distorded coordination polyhedrons. In order to show structures clearly, some of large cations and additional anions are represented by small pearl balls. The edges of coordination polyhedrons vary in a range of 1.00-1.40 cm; the minimal one is 0.3 cm long. The principles of testing models are presented
