摘    要:在我国南海某钻孔晚第三纪和早第四纪的岩心中发现了大量具有磁性的小球体。初步研究表明,这些球粒的各种特性类似于叶连俊等1964年发现于十亿年前震旦系地层中的宇宙尘,也类似于彭汉昌等前不久发现于深海中的宇宙尘2]。它们很可能是铁陨星穿越地球大气层时碎裂熔融的最终产物。

Abstract:The magnetic spherules found in the cores from wells drilled in the South China Sea,are similar to cosmic dust in recent deep-sea ediments and ancient strata.Magnetic spherules are characterized by their distinct surface textures (i.e.regular triangle or guadrilateral pores polygonal mesh etc.) and internal textures (i.e.cavities,troughs etc.).These spherules have metallic luster,magnetism,fusion crust.The diameters of spherules range from 0.05 to 1.87 mm.Most of them are hollow spherules with a magnetite fusion crust.In addition to the studies of the microscopic characteristics of the spherules,the electron microprobe,X-ray powder and S.E.M.analyses have been made respectively.From their microscopic features,chemical composition,mineral composition and microtexture,they might be cosmic dust coming from outer space of the earth.These magnetic spherules may be the splashings of iron meteorites and then they were melted in entering the atmosphere.
