| Abstract: | The ultralow grade magnetite in Hongtu Village of Yuauyang County was formed by late stage of multiple phases of metamorphism and magmatism, with ore source provided by volcanic fragments from sedimentary formation at the marginal rift of the Precambrian Yangtzi Block. The type of mineralization can be attributed into a mixed mode of early metamorphism superimposed transformation by late stage hydrothermal solution. Ore-prospecting in this area should be focused in the sedimentary formation constituted by basic volcanic rocks of the Along Formation in the Ailaoshan Group. |
