| Abstract: | In this paper, academic exchange activities during the visit of Dr. Philip J Potts from department of earth sciences,Open University,UK,in the National Research Center of Geoanalysis (NRCGA) were reported. In his visiting, lectures were presented by Dr. Potts with three topics: ① a historical review of developments in geoanalytical techniques:trends for the future;② use of portable X-ray fluorescence analysis for contamination studies of lead in soil and aesenic at an abandoned industrial site;③ Geo-PT——the international proficiency testing programme for analytical geochemistry laboratories:progress and achievements. |
